Had fun doing the hot ppt. Especially all you can eat, ordering on the tablet. So easy & quick. They split the pots so you can have more than one broth. The spicy symbol, believe it!

Yesterday I went with family with over expectations. Unfortunately the overall satisfaction remains at 3star. I don't think that is worth for such costs.

First of all, this place is halal-friendly, which was a huge plus. They have both hot pot and Korean BBQ, and the menu is very well thought out with icons showing what is halal and what is not. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was well-marinated, fresh, and delicious, from the poultry and seafood to the beef and lamb. Even the starters like rangoons and dumplings were so good that I ordered them several times. You get a 2-hour dining window, but around 1.5 to 1.75 hours in they’ll kindly let you know to start wrapping up, which honestly makes sense since by then you’re full and winding down. Service was outstanding. A big shoutout to Dylan, who was our main waiter. He was attentive, clear in communication, and incredibly fast. Anytime we placed an order through the iPad, the food came out almost immediately. Dylan and the rest of the staff were also quick to swap out our grills to keep everything clean and safe, which made the whole experience even better. Dessert deserves its own highlight: the crème brûlée was so good that I personally had about 10 of them, no joke, and the group went through nearly all of them. The ice cream options (taro, chocolate, vanilla, and cream) were also excellent. The overall experience of cooking the food yourself, enjoying high-quality meats, and having such attentive service made it one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. My tip: focus on the proteins and don’t fill up on carbs so you can really maximize the unlimited option. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great halal-friendly hot pot and BBQ experience. Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere.

I’ve been four times now and every time has been a phenomenal experience! Tons of incredible options for all you can eat BBQ. I end up eating so much I become unsure if I’d make it out of the booth! I highly recommend the spicy brisket and beef tongue. Make sure to pace yourself if you come. 1000 times over I recommend Mosu!!

Google
Been here two times. Once with a big group and another time with just two people. Food was good on both occasions. We had a group of 8 that shared two grills, which wasn’t nearly enough. We had to wait and take turns eating because the grill couldn’t fit much food. One grill between two people was perfect. The grills do get charred quite easily so if you don’t get the grill replaced your meat will burn very quickly. My favorite was the marinated short ribs. For dessert, we really liked the mint chocolate chip ice cream and Creme brûlée. The base price for all you can eat BBQ was $55 per person. After tax and tip we ended up paying about ~$70 ish per person. It’s on the pricey side but worth a splurge to celebrate a special occasion.

Google
A definite must try! The environment is very modern and clean. The food was delicious as well from the lamb, shrimp, salmon, beef and veggies. You cook it all yourself. It’s $55 per person all you can eat not including some specialty meats and alcoholic beverages. They were very helpful and very nice. Even for first timers. Great way to try more stuff on the menu! Great experience.

Google
my boyfriend and i love going to mosu! every server we’ve had has been absolutely amazing, so friendly and bubbly. tonight we had Dylan, and we have had him a few times in the past! he was as kind, helpful and welcoming as always! shoutout to Dylan for making both mine and my boyfriends day that much better :) again, thank you for your amazing personality, service and Mosu merch!!

Google
Absolutely love this place. I love that they have both hot pot and BBQ. Honestly, hot pot is my favorite. I also love the order process that uses the tablet- it's so convenient! They have a fantastic variety of proteins, too. Highly recommend MOSU!

Yelp
We came as a group of four family members/friends. The welcome was very warm and friendly. We weren't aware that they offer halal options, but when they noticed our hijabi friend, they kindly asked if we would like to see the halal menu--which immediately elevated our experience. We chose the BBQ, and we truly enjoyed everything we ordered. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the staff genuinely seemed happy in their work, which made the experience even more pleasant for us. The positive energy of the space, the ambiance, and the cheerful people around us made our time at the table even more enjoyable. Mosu has become the first place that comes to mind when I want to give a special guest a great evening, and it's a spot I would confidently recommend. Congratulations to the team on a fantastic job.

Yelp
We stop in Albany as a halfway point to going to visit our daughter in VT. We keep trying places. Thought this sounded interesting, and was close to our hotel. So disappointed. We did not cook our own food on the tables, as we were exhausted from our drive. We did pass by patrons doing so, and were not impressed enough to try this option. The bar appetizers sounded like they would be great. The food was awful. All frozen pre-fab products. The sampler appetizer was a debacle. Essence of cream cheese and crab in the rangoons, "dumplings" were certainly not gyoza. All of the items tasted like they came out a box. The scallion pancake was disastrous. The lamb kebabs were charred and inedible. Will continue the search for edible food in Albany!

Yelp
My reviews follow the Yelp sequence of review...Food, service and ambiance. However our server Naha is 100% trash. The manager should be ashamed to let someone out on the floor like this and it is a disservice to what this restaurant is trying achieve. Please remove Maha from the floor and have her trained properly. You do not drop drinks, food, soups and other ordered items on the table. You put them down. In addition, she did not check on us until we were 2/3rds of the way done with our meal. If you look at my account I have dined in hundreds of places like this and not once did she check in early after the 1st round of meats were put on the grill to check if we needed a grill change or check on our status. Lastly, there are 5 people dining how hard was it for her to hand the drinks or put the drinks down close to the owner?!?! Why was she leaving it all on one end to pass down from the direction she came!?!? There was more than enough room to hand drinks to the person who order the drink; but again Maha just wanted to deliver poor experience. She may want to dine out so she learns some service skills. To top it off, once she probably realized she pooped the service portion she tells us at the END that there was a gratuity charge for 5 people. Who the fuck does this?!?! These gratuity stipulations are usually mentioned up front and not the end. So I am not sure if this was added to make up for inept and poor service. Plus gratuity inclusion such as this is usually for groups of 6 or more...My cousin who is also an Elite Yelper realized that this was going south but I saw it early on when she only had 3 tables and focused all her attention on the other two tables, then when it started to fill up I saw her do a grill change on a table within 30 minutes. But the food, beverages, refill droppings was just ridiculous and stupid on her part. Absolutely pure shit service and as a PSA to the manger, Maha made the dining experience pure garbage. Not good at all. I'll remove Maha's poor service from the food review. The food was ok. The meats (beef and pork) were tasteless or had a sour taste (quality). The fish was ok but I did not have any to comment but would have been better if Maha had offered a grill change to prevent sticking (yes, we could have asked but the food was just ok and did not order another round of fish). Surprisingly, the shrimp and mussels we ordered were good. Catastrophically, the Kim chi was apparently home made but was sour and pungent. However the dumplings, fried shrimp, scallops and xu mai were good. Just mediocre is how I would describe the food. Any of the places I took my two aunts recently, would blow this place away easily and offered a better dining and service experience. So if you are looking yum food, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Ambiance is a shining point. Really nice and ornamented. Just right, not too flashy but not plain. Seating was spot on with good spacing between tables. Lighting was also perfect, not cave dark but not blinding. Sadly, poor service from Maha and mediocre food doomed this experience. My aunts have seen me dine and the great rapport or quality experience I have with our servers and meals so I was really disappointed by my experience at Mosu. I could not recommend this place at all, I rarely hand out 1's but Maha and ok food just allowed them to garner one.

Yelp
We were a group of 7, including 2 children. We made reservations as suggested and were seated promptly. You have to decide if you want hotpot or Asian BBQ as the tables are different, with different types of cookers at the tables. We decided to get the BBQ and shown how to use the iPads for ordering food, depending on whether you wanted lunch, dinner or all you can eat. We ordered various items and cooked them using metal tongs on each end of the table. Veggies, including mushrooms, all sorts of meats and seafood are brought uncooked to the table in small dishes and you grill them until they're done. You can also get items such as kimchi that are already prepared. The dining area is very modern yet cozy, with comfortable chairs. Definitely worth returning for more great dining!

Anne M.

Yelp
The prices are ridiculous. Fifty dollars a person is outrageous for what is charged in other hotpot restaurants in the area and the food is no better. Should you decide to get charged by the plate instead, you aren't told that you aren't getting the same size plate, it is an "individual", read WAY smaller, plate. The service is below average, with our server knowing very little about what was being placed in front of us. My rule of thumb has always been that any place that spends an extravagant amount of money on decor is usually distracting from subpar food. This experience did not change that adage. While the decor is expensive, it is cold and sterile. Save your money and head to Shining Rainbow, Northeast Chinese Restaurant ll or Bangkok Kitchen. The food is better too.

Yelp
I really appreciate Mosu for never hassling me about dining alone. Yes, it's a little silly to go to Asian barbecue alone, but I do regularly! Other places sometimes give you a hard time about taking up a whole grill, but at Mosu, I've always felt welcome. On to the food: I am trying to figure out the smashed cucumber salad marinade, because I love it. The meats are usually well marinated and well cut. There are not as many choices as some other places, but I don't need too many! I like the modern decor, and the tables are spaced so you don't feel on top of the table next to you. Better than other Asian BBQ places I've been, they're quick to replace the grill when needed and clear the empty plates. This is one of my go-to locations when I'm in Albany--someday, I should dine with someone else!
google avatar

Philip Y.

Yelp
Usually an Asian Fusion restaurant can replace decent Asian dishes that attract regular patrons. This place could not make a Seafood Pajeon (pancake) with decent amount of seafood ingredients and they charge you $17 for that terrible dough. Most patrons inside choose Korean BBQ or hot pot options. So, maybe it is not so bad.
google avatar

Belinda C.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was quick. Restaurant was clean. We were seated quickly. A little on the pricey side. Still have not tried the hot pots.

Yelp
Second time here... and WOW it was better than the first time which we can't believe because the first visit was AMAZING! So you can count on consistency at those restaurant for quality, service and delicious food and drinks! We live a couple hours away and made it so our relaxing getaway included an early dinner at MOSU! Made reservations for 1:30pm and were a little early they could seat us and our hostess and server were top notch! Fast amazing service and again our server was so friendly funny and awesome! Drinks from the bar delicious!! I don't understand why anyone would go elsewhere! Clean fun restaurant and how other restaurants should be run!

Yelp
Solid Kbbq AYCE option in the area. 55 is a bit steep but it's one of the only places in the area with kbbq. There's a good spread of meat cuts available and premade appetizers. Soft drinks and dessert (a variety of ice cream, smores, and creme brulee) are also included. There's a 2hr maximum per table which is more than enough time. They also offer an a la carte menu and a hotpot option as well. Been to Mosu often and the service is always great, servers are attentative and kind. The restaurant is a bit more sophisticated ambiance wise. It's dim light so it could be used for a special occassion but plenty of people use it as a casual joint as well.

Hungry Hippos ..

Yelp
Hungry hippos of the 518 at all you can eat hot pot. One of our best experiences yet. Service: 4/5. Staff is super attentive and kind. There were a couple of mishaps, none of which ruined the experience though. First off, a trainee brought us a different table's order. This might sound disappointing, but some of the hippos got to try kimchi for the first time because of it. For the duration of the visit you order from a tablet, which went smooth except one forgotten order. Not a big deal though, we just ordered it again. Broth was refilled while we ate. Atmosphere: 5/5. The restaurant is extremely beautiful. Great natural lighting. Perfect lunch or dinner vibes- friends, family, or bae. Bathrooms are clean, roomy, and have 2 ply TP. Food: 5/5. Great deal for AYCE. Everything we ordered tasted great. Very accommodating to allergies. Overall a fun experience to try different things. Overall, we will be returning. Maybe next time trying the BBQ. -The Hungry Hippos

Yelp
Atmosphere is cute service was friendly and nice. Food was ok. It just wasn't worth the price and to cook stuff myself. When it came to the stove they didn't turn it on for a bit we had to ask them back so we could get to work haha but that wasn't a huge deal. It's just a one and done place for me

Kyra-Ann B.

Yelp
Was very good some of the best food I've had. The service was very good are waitress was very nice and everything came out in two minutes. It was very expensive that was the only problem. The restaurant was very nice was even bigger.

Yelp
Here's my beef. You have to pick hot pot or BBQ and that's a huge fail. As a lover of hotpot/BBQ's, it makes no sense to have one or the other. We settled on hotpot and the Szechuan and tom yum were both excellent and the broth was refilled by the terrific server. Service itself was an A+. Second major issue is there's no pork belly which is a MANDATORY item to try. The pork loin was sliced too thick. Third issue is there's no sauce bar where you can let your creativity flow! Let the inner scientist bloom. They give you three sauces. All kind of meh. These are likely three things novices might not know, but IYKYK. I saw some complaints about price, but $50 is fair for AYCE. Crème brûlée was missing vanilla which basically is the most essential ingredient. Tips for newbies: the Napa cabbage and soft tofu are must haves. Start with beef, go to pork, and then the seafood. But tbh, I would skip it because it wasn't great. But my point is seafood alters the flavor of the broth in a way that negatively impacts the beef. Don't eat rice. Avoid the noodles unless you have a big appetite. They're delicious, but also quite filling. Tip your servers in cash. You'll go throw A LOT of dishes. And lastly, order LOTS of SOJU. Will go back for the bbq and re-review, but if KPot opens soon, it's a no-brainer where you'll find me because not having both options is a huge issue.

Yelp
I was at Mosu for a birthday dinner hot pot celebration and reservations were easily made online on their website. If you are anything like me, you will appreciate how user friendly their website is and it will give you a glimpse of what is on their menu. Options are endless as they also have Asian barbecue as well which I equate to a do it yourself hibachi. An important thing to note is that if you are there for lunch you have the option to order from either their all you can eat lunch menu, their more expansive dinner menu (also all you can eat) or from their a la carte menu. I think this is really great, especially for those who are looking to try something new but are not big eaters and want to keep within their budget. The ambiance is modern and clean with a really fun vibe. You can tell that the place is kept immaculate and everything served is brought to you fresh and with attention to detail. There's an iPad at the table where you simply select your drinks, and appetizers as well as your entree choices. The staff is friendly and very attentive and will patiently explain everything to you. I really enjoyed all the options available and included in the per person cost. You also have choices to add on many many more extras and skies the limit! During this visit we chose two hot pot soup options, bone broth as well as miso soup. It most certainly did not disappoint and the broths were delicious! We had a good amount of proteins and seafood along with lots of different vegetables as well as noodles. I assure you that there is most definitely something for everyone no matter the craving. I highly recommend Mosu as a must try!

Riyad M.

Yelp
I had hotpot here a few times. The meats and veggies were always fresh and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
Ok so what was that boneless lamb? Got one order of it and couldn't even eat more than one piece. Basically inedible. Don't try. Even the waiter said they didn't care for it. Everything else was great especially the short rib but just the taste of the lamb makes me take off 2 stars. Yes...it was that bad.

Luke G.

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best. Appetizers were like Chinese buffet food. $50 per person was excessive for the quality of food. The fried scallops were like those fake toilet paper roll scallops, IYKYK. If you've ever had real Korean food, you know this stuff is not it. Service was good, ambience was nice. Just disappointed in the food.
google avatar

José S.

Yelp
A little bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Quality and atmosphere is excellent for Wolf Rd. Five stars for the service, four stars for the price.

Ella M.

Yelp
This place was AWFUL. The food was disgusting (we got hotpot), they barely have any sauces, the service didn't align with the food, just the ambience. The place was beautiful and the service was good, just to be served AWFUL food. I would choose Volcano BBQ& Hot Pot over Mosu every single time. This place is a great example of what happens when a cuisine is colonized and reconstructed to be more appealing with white people. Extremely inauthentic.
google avatar

Emily F.

Yelp
Awesome service. Did all you can eat and food came out so fast. Sarah heard we were celebrating a birthday and surprised us with a piece of cake. Thank you for making our evening special.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Found a nice Korean AYCE In Albany. Open fire so no smoke from the grill and they change it regularly. The exhaust goes through the side of the fire so nothing hanging over head and you won't be smoked out. Portions are small so if you order from the tablet, make note it's a serving for 1 person. Some meats were seasoned well and we loved the lamb chops. Now that's a big plus, never had that in a Korean BBQ. I took off half a point coz the banchans were not that great, it could be better. Their dipping sauces are different so I had to ask for sesame oil and salt. Unfortunately they don't have crystal salts so I had to mix the oil with table salt. You can also do soup at this place along with the BBQ, aka K-pot. As you can see the place is clean and beautiful. Would definitely go back here again with my coarse salt
google avatar

Ashlee D.

Yelp
3rd time back here and still love it for special occasion meals! I do miss the pickled daikon as it wasn't on the menu this time around. Lovely ambiance, always friendly staff and fun to feel like it's an event in addition to dinner. Will continue to return once or twice a year.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I do not have any photos. Our family went tonight for the AYCE BBQ and loved it. While I normally eat very little meat, tonight was an exception. We had lamb, ribeye & fillet mignon, and several vegetable items. Our little one, who is normally picky about her veggies devoured her broccoli along with the lamb. I enjoyed the dry rub which was not needed at all because the food was yummy without it, but it added another layer of flavor that did not disappoint. My hubby and I are looking forward to going again for veggie hotpot. The service was wonderful. It was excellent. Tips - Start small so you know how much to add on. We did this as to avoid wasting food and we were successful. - I agree with the other reviewers: This place is perfect if everyone in your group is going to eat a good amount otherwise order very little a la carte.

Yelp
I really want to give 3.5 stars. But that's not an option. So I'm going 4 because I'd rather "round up" and! I did not eat BBQ or Hot Pot, which is clearly the key reason to come to Mosu. WHAT A NICE SPOT! Super high ceilings with all sorts of creative design elements. Lots of windows and natural light. Airy, roomy space that still feels comfortable. The bar is at the center of the restaurant, flanked by two sections of Korean BBQ and Hot Pot tables. For those who don't know, Korean BBQ and Hot Pot are meals you cook yourself at your custom built table. It is a very social, communal, fun dining experience. I imagine it would be a great idea for a first date! Or really any date... I sat at the bar. The menu at the bar is designed around Asian street foods. I don't eat beef, pork or poultry, but there were still things for me to order. The only "challenge" was that portions were so large I couldn't try as many things as I wanted. Which, honestly, is not a "problem" if you're dining out like a regular person. Suffice it to say you can sit at the bar have a drink or two (they have a WIDE selection of beer, wine, craft cocktails, even an entire Sake Bomb section...!) and order one or two things and be full. I was interested in drinking sake and they have an entire sake menu. Like 5 or 6 choices, but that works for me! I was able to order a sake I liked and then I ordered hot tea and they had barley tea, which is really mainly the only tea I ever want. When I'm eating Korean or Japanese I always want my three beverages: sake, hot tea and water. And I drink all of them. I started out with Edamame. You can get regular or spicy. So, of course, I got spicy. Weirdly, this was the most disappointing Edamame I've ever had. It wasn't actually spicy, despite the large, dried peppers. But that wasn't the actual problem. The problem was the Edamame was undercooked. Someone didn't steam them long enough. They were borderline hard...!!?? I'm assuming it's not always this way. Someone made an error in that kitchen. Then I ordered Kimchi Tater Tots. PURE GENIUS! I am HERE for every "update" to Tater Tots. You want to do creative things with Tater Tots? I will try them! These are CRAZY DELICIOUS: Cheddar Cheese, Kewpie Mayo, Sriracha, Scallions, Teriyaki sauce. They hit ALL the notes you're looking for in a snack/bar food situation: hot, crispy, cheesy, a little spicy, flavorful. I'm not sure it would be a "good choice" to eat two orders of these. But I also can't say it would be the wrong choice... Scallion Pancake. There was SO MUCH Scallion Pancake (which was perfectly fried and thin and flaky) that I asked the bartender HOW MANY PANCAKES had been cut up to make this order?? Apparently you get at least TWO pancakes when you order this. Again, portion sizes are not small here. These were totally delicious. But I was starting to be scared about how much fried food I was eating. So I ordered fried tofu skewers. Look, all I can say is that the whole mountain of Kimchi Tater Tots had me not thinking straight. I probably should have chosen something "less" fried for the final thing. Positive: these were served so hot I almost hurt myself trying to eat them. Negative: the tofu itself was not tasty and the sauce was very sweet and syrupy. Just didn't work for me. I am most definitely a "savory" person. There are other things I would have tried if I hadn't stuffed myself with all the delicious tater tots and scallion pancakes! The thing about Mosu is that they are telling you PRECISELY who and what they are: Korean BBQ, Hot Pot, Bar Snacks. It is hard for me to resist anything involving snacks. I also like to eat some vegetables to balance out my fried. Problem was I would have had to order an entire "bowl" dish to get those veggies and I didn't want to commit! I wanted to attempt to eat a bunch of things. But that is not Mosu's fault. Next time! LOL Come here for a date, for a fun dinner with friends and family cooking your food at your table. Or sit at the bar to have a drink or two or three and eat ALL THE KIMCHI TATER TOTS!

Yelp
Mosu is a new experience for those who have never tried hot pot or table top BBQ. Mosu's Korean BBQ allows you to cook your meal on a small grill in the center of the table. We have tried and enjoyed hot pot or shabu-shabu or Jeongol or fondu previous to this and enjoyed that. (Hot pot offers the diner the ability to cook their meats and vegetables in a steaming hot liquid and enjoy.) So, let's try the BBQ! Mosu offers ala carte or a one time fee to reap the rewards of Korean BBQ. Alcoholic or specialty drinks are not included in the price, but can be purchased separately. Also included in the one fee are appetizers (we picked deep fried calmari, shrimp and scallops), salads, and dessert. You select your meats/fish and vegetables from a tablet tableside. Your servers then deliver your raw choices tableside to cook on your personal grill. Selections include Beef, Chicken, Lamb, Pork, Seafood (shrimp and salmon), and several vegetable choices. Also on your tablet are suggested cooking instructions. You then have sauces for dipping to enhance the flavors or eat your cooked items sans sauces. We ordered several beef items including tongue and filet mignon. Veggys selected were asparagus, zucchini, mushrooms and lettuce wraps. Shrimp and calmari are cleaned and deveined ready for grilling. An enjoyable meal to say the least. Now my bad comment. I ordered a hot and sour soup. Their version of hot and sour is not. It is hot and sweet. It has most of what you'd expect in a hot/sour soup except the for the sweet. Not my cup of tea. Knowing that, I'd skip it next time. Very entertaining way to dine, however, I did see that the hot pot diners had the option of clams. I've had clams on a grill before and they can be delicious. Too bad. NOTE: Go light on what you order as leftovers that are over ordered and not consumed may get an additional fee for wasted product. Not a problem if you order what you want and eat it.

Yelp
What an experience! MOSU is an incredible date spot. I honestly forgot to take a lot of pictures because it was so fun. This isn't just a meal, it's a fun thing to do! This review is coming after a 3 hour blissful food coma. Just wow. This is all you can eat, so come hungry and pace yourself. You get two hours and can order as many times as you'd like. I think we ordered about 5 times over 1.5 hours. It's pricy but I felt it was 100% worth it for an occasion. Would be ideal for a larger group of people and you could literally sample the whole menu. You use an iPad to place all your orders for individual meats and sides. It was so seamless and the service was incredibly quick. It was easy and if you needed a drink, easy to order and quick to come. So we did Korean Bbq and you cook everything yourself, that makes it so fun. I thought it could possibly be stressful but you really wanna pace yourself so it was all perfect. It all cooks really fast, longest being chicken which was about 8 minutes total. Super fun. Think like, hibatchi but on a grill? The flavors are similar though the dishes so if you love hibatchi I think this is something new you'd love! We had some of the kitchen apps, plenty of fried rice, but it's the meat for me. I tried most of the cuts of steak, the marinated ribeye and thick cut ribeye were my favorite. We also had chicken, pork, lamb chops, shrimp, short ribs, some veggies. The sauces they offer are amazing and they all complimented the flavors so well. The only thing that could have made this any better would be a second stomach. I think I have go back for my birthday and try all the things I simply couldn't try today. Cannot reccomend it enough, incredible.

Yelp
We have been for hot pot and bbq. The food is great. For hotpot we did all you could eat for four people, 4 adults was worth it possibly. 2 adults and 2 kids we came out well ahead doing a la carte. The only (big) negative is that you have two hours to eat. When we came for hotpot we got there 90 minutes before closing. Not knowing this, we started getting more aggressive service and reminders about an hour in they were closing in 30 minutes. About 75 minutes into Bbq we started getting reminders and more attentive service. The atmosphere is nice, well decorated.

Yelp
WHEN: Friday @ 5pm We made a reservation ahead of time. My party of 3 were seated immediately after arrival. Mosu is capital region's first AYCE kbbq & hotpot. It's a hotspot for foodies to gather, catch up with friends, colleagues, special occasions. You better be half starving before going to Mosu. I've eaten a fair share of ayce kbbq in CA before, I made sure I didn't overeat throughout the day. Mosu interior was larger than expected. Very upscale chandelier and modern take on ayce restaurants. Half of the restaurant has built in grills on the tables, half of it has built-in hotpot stoves. You can't opt for both kbbq & hotpot, only one or the other. MENU SELECTIONS A large variety of steak cuts, sirloin, filet magnon, briskets, you say it they have it. Pork chops, lamp, seafood options. Variety of veggies as well. And snacks. It's AYCE, I made a mistake ordering too many snacks for apps that I couldn't finish. Don't forget Mosu charges for extra leftovers!!!! Don't over order and waste food. We ordered 2 rounds of meats and veggies and were filled after an hour of nonstop eating lettuce wrapped kbbq. I highly recommend ordering kimchi, Szechuan chili veggies to eat w kbbq meats so you can digest quicker while adding flavors. Small beverage selection that's included in the ayce- water, soda, juices. Boba, cocktails, soju, sparkling water are additional charge. VALUE Not sure if it's worth $50/person. It's definitely not your typical CA ayce kbbq. It's the first in the capital region, demand is low, ppl are willing to pay as much as they can to experience it. Typically in the Bay Area, Los Angeles big cities offers ayce kbbq for $30-40/person. The quality of meats, veggies, seafood, desserts, snacks selection is about the same.

Yelp
If you aren't THAT hungry or have small appetite, don't go to AYCE Mosu. I mean.. you don't want to spend $55 bbq if you only eat two pieces of meat, right? Anyways, I went to Mosu for the first time last week with my boyfriend. We ordered bunch of meats (mostly beef & pork) and veggies, appetizers (popcorn chicken, crab rangoon and edamame), desserts (creme brulee and smores) and barley tea (so good). It's worth the price for the all the food we ordered. The sauces they have is delicious--soy, gochujang and peanut sauce. Clever combo! Though gochujang is still my fave. Despite all the goodness of the food & experience, I am giving 4 stars because I think that their seafood selection is still limited. I was hoping they would have squids or octopus on the menu--considering this is still korean bbq place. But then, I thought to myself, this is a fusion restaurant too, so I should not have expected much. Also, another issue I got is that there's no exhaust for each grill. My eyes was a bit hurting due to the smoke. I guess I'm used to the korean bbq place in asia, where they have exhaust right on top of the grill, so that your clothes won't smell and your eyes are not hurting. Still, I like Mosu and I think it's an AYCE restaurant worth going. I cannot wait to try the hotpot. Overall, service is above and beyond, and I like that they are very attentive.

Yelp
Went to Mosu for our 23rd wedding anniversary. Brought the kids for some extra laughs. They didn't disappoint. Food was phenomenal! Our server did a great job talking us through the iPad ordering system and we were off! Had the AYCE Asian BBQ. So good! Can't wait to go back and try the hot pot! Pricey but worth it. Parties over 5 have gratuity built in but our waiter was kind enough to share that up front to prevent sticker shock. Party of 5 was over $350.00. We felt as if we were at a signature restaurant in Walt Disney World. PS if you like crème brûlée, theirs is amazing!

Yelp
I've come here quite a few times and each time I feel my money is left well spent. The vibe inside is comfortable and you really feel like you can relax, talk and eat. I love being able to be in charge of when and what I order when I feel ready. Their food is absolutely delicious. I love their sauce trio for their bbq side, as well as the dessert. The crème brûlée is otherworldly. There's a 2 limit order per person and thank god because I'd eat them out of it. Everything comes out in a timely manner once ordered on the iPad. I've also done the hotpot once and that was a great experience and I think my favorite side just because there is more veggie options and I love veggies in the hotpot broth. The only downside is there are so many different meats I'd love to give a try because I've never had before but the portion for the meats are huge and you have to finish everything to not get charged for it. I couldn't normally eat that much of any meat so it was a bit disappointing that they don't have a sampler or size change like (just trying!) so you can get a piece each. Other than that I have my tried and trues I love ordering so that doesn't deter me in the slightest! I definitely recommend this place for date nights, special occasions. This place really brings the vibe!

Yelp
We were in the colonie area n were looking for a place for dinner on YELP n came across Mosu. Never been to an Asian style bbq n thought we'd give it a try. Was close to our hotel. Nice restaurant n w a good ambiance n friendly staff. A lil on the expensive side but we went with the all inclusive that had the appetizers entrees and deserts. We had a very light lunch. So when twas dinner time we were starving. The drinks were extra. Had the virgin () mango maragarita which I enjoyed. Our waiter warned us that we would be charged extra for wastage. Food was really good n delicious. Since we were 3 we tried different appetizers meats n veg. Had the dumplings, scallops, fried shrimp, edamame and crab Rangoon for appetizers. And the fried rice was b tasty. For desert we had crème brûlée, s'mores n ice cream. Liked the house special coffee ice cream. All in all was very good n plan to come back soon. Tx u 4 a great dinner.

Yelp
Went for my graduation in May, it was perfect! If events are around, make that reservation to lock down a spot. They also have a 55 per person all you can eat for the bbq so please take advantage of that!

Yelp
The food was delicious and such a great experience. I was with 2 other people and none of us had been there. They were kind and explained everything. Fun time

Yelp
It's been tough without AYCE korean bbq since I moved to upstate NY. And then I found there's Mosu during a work trip. I went with 2 other co-workers and got the AYCE bbq. The price is pretty standard and there was a surprisingly large selection of items to choose from. The space is huge and the staff was very quick and attentive. You order everything from the ipad which makes it super easy and you don't have to wait for the server to come back. We ordered a bunch of items so I'm just going to touch on a couple stand out items. For apps I loved the seaweed salad and the scallops. The scallops are breaded nicely and the scallop was still moist and soft. For the meats I would recommend any of the marinated meats in the beef section. The meat, if cooked properly, will be soft and well seasoned. Amongst the seafood, the miso shrimp was super good. Don't over cook it though or it'll be tough. Also try the lamb and lamb shanks. They're really good value for the quality. The dessert was awesome. The creme brulee was delish! I think it's limited to 2 per person but I think they're a good size and I was good with just one. And then we got the smores! You can roast the marshmallow at your own table! What a great way to end a meal. I would totally come back to this spot when I'm in town again.

Yelp
Hot Pot- service excellent- broths are gross, there are no additional seasonings to add on. I have been to numerous hot Pat restaurants, this was super disappointing.

Yelp
The meat was very small portions, it took me coming to this place to realize I don't like going out to eat to cook for my self.

Yelp
It's a very good restaurant to go with family or dates. A la carte Can be a little expensive due to the fact that the meat selection only brings 4 slices of meat however the experience was amazing.

Yelp
I went to Mosu for the first time and decided to try the all you can eat hot pot. You have a 2 hour time limit to eat anything and everything you want. Our server was very kind and explained how everything worked very well. The other servers that brought us our food as we ordered were also very kind. They made the experience feel a lot more welcoming. The vibe in the restaurant is great. Definitely would be a great place to have a get together of any kind. Lots of variety to choose from! The taste of the food was excellent. It is a cook-it-yourself place, so keep that in mind! There are tips on the iPad at the table that recommend cooking times, etc. There also are some additional charges for items like alcohol, special meats, etc. You'll see that when you go to order each item, so it shouldn't come as a surprise when you go to pay. It's $50-$55 a person for all you can eat hot pot OR BBQ (have to choose one), so in my opinion, the value for what you can get is great. Definitely make sure you're hungry when you come here! This is one of my new favorite spots, and I'm very happy there is a great hot pot and BBQ place in the area now. I will be back very soon! *Forgot to add: they are big on not having waste, so if you leave a lot of food behind that they have to throw out, you will be charged for it! Like I said, COME HUNGRY!*

Yelp
We came as a group of four. Parking is super easy in the plaza. The choice for all-you-can-eat is amazing for us who loves meat. The iPad for self ordering is really convenient, and our service guy is really nice in refilling water and changing grill. I'm a huge fan of the seaweed salad and cheesy corn. Fried rice is ok...less flavorful and too little of portion. But the quality of the meat is perfect in Albany. We almost got all kinds of beef if not second round. First time doing lamb and got really surprised by the juicy and flavorful meat. Love the fact that they have ice cream and smores for dessert. Didn't get to drink much this time but would love to come back next time to have another feast.

Yelp
My first time trying hot pot and it was so fun! The servers were very helpful since it was our first time and everything was very flavorful. The spicy broths were SPICY! Very good though. I want to come back to try the Korean BBQ.

Yelp
This is the nicest restaurant I've been to in the capital region so far the food was great you do all your ordering from tablets we had the bbq the meat is very good and the grills don't have to be cleaned the whole time like other Korean bbq spots this was such a fun family night the short rib and brisket were my favorites i just wish they had the Korean potato salad

Yelp
If you're looking for somewhere nice to treat yourself or celebrate some big news, this is a great place. You can check out their a la carte menu, but I would recommend taking the all you can eat option (at least for your first time going) so you can try a sampling of what they have to offer. If you take that route, you can either pick the Asian BBQ option or the Hot Pot option. You're given 90 minutes, so feel free to take your time and soak it in (get it?) I went with Hot Pot, where you can pick two broths as bases to cook the rest of your selection in. After choosing the curry broth and miso broth, a waiter came over to add the broth bases (still in solid form) directly into the pot and then pour hot water over top to slowly blend it in and bring the broth to a boil. Once boiling, you can start dropping food in to cook. Most things took 30 seconds or so to cook, so it's a really convenient and easy process. The things that take longer, like the fresh noodles, still only take two or three minutes. The curry broth has a good kick to it, spicier than I expected. The miso broth is rich and flavorful. I tried the beef, lamb, shrimp, fresh noodles, mushrooms, broccoli, dumplings, and maybe more. It was all really fresh and the ingredients absorbed the flavor from the broth quickly. The all you can eat option also included already cooked appetizers, like wontons and dumplings, that you could order throughout the meal, as well as drinks and desserts (get the crème brûlée, trust me). I also ordered the Bikini Bottom cocktail, which was refreshing and complimented the meal well.

Yelp
Listen the all you can eat option is not cheap, but it's worth every single penny!! We did the BBQ grill (there's also a hot pot option). It is such a fun experience start to finish. You can order whatever you want including cooked appetizers, plenty of different raw meats and veggies and desserts. It's super easy to cook on the grill and a fun time. We never spend a long time out to eat just the 2 of us and we spent 2 hours out New Year's Eve having fun! We also enjoyed some sake, soju and earl grey tea martinis that were just amazing. Our server was super helpful and the atmosphere was a blast!

Yelp
I've been to a number of Korean barbecue places and I feel like Mosu is probably my favorite one. The rest of them tend to fall in either the two cheap categories with in expensive cuts of meat or the two expensive category where it ends up costing close to $100 per person. I enjoyed that Mosu had both à la cart and all you can eat options. And while I was sad that there was only two of the typical side dishes available, they could be ordered via the iPad in the quantities that we wanted. We also enjoyed the lunch specials, including the green tea ice cream that we picked for dessert. The service was top notch and in a style that I've seen in high-end restaurants around the country where there were multiple people at the host station and while we had a primary server, there was a constant stream of employees that took care of us. We can't wait to come back to try the hot pot option.

Yelp
Pretty good Asian BBQ place (think Korean BBQ). We went with the AYCE pricing to make life simpler. They also have hot pot. Your party has to choose either BBQ or Hot pot. We went with BBQ. My first time here. Decent choices and quality meats. Wish there were more sauce choices... the default is the 3 they bring you in a 3 divider dipping dish. I guess I could have asked for some hot sauce or something but I didn't bother or is it really needed. Fun to do grilling your own meats and seafood. Nice contemporary atmosphere. Good service. Wish the vegetables came out at near the same time as the meats. The lettuce came out much later, almost as if it was forgotten but it did show up. 2 hour limit which goes by quick since we ordered appetizers first, then main dish, and finished with crème brulee. I suppose if I ordered it all at the same time then there would not be as much wait. No hurry though. Order is done via an iPad. User interface was intuitive and simple to use, although the menu did lock up on us once and the server had to unlock and restart the app for us to use. No big deal. I will likely want to come back and do the hot pot. The music can be a bit loud if you are seated near the bar but that's just me. Music choices got better as the evening went on so it was less objectionable. Just a personal preference thing.

Yelp
MOSU was very good, or close to great BUT also had a few misses and opportunities for improvement. The food and meat tasted great and the experience was fun. The service was so-so, needs improvement in some areas. They seemed to try hard but also seems rushed and inexperienced. The iPad menu ordering system needs a few tune ups or improvements. We didn't get given the chopsticks that was explained in the process/instructions and had to ask for them and we also had to ask what the dipping sauces were AND THEN had to ask what the nibbler starter stuff was that was brought to the table. (Not the ordered apps- but what they start every table with). We had said we had never been before and new to this. After still not getting much info, I tried to jokingly say to our server we wanted to know everything but she kind of didn't pick up on it so we just had to continue to ask about things. We also had to ask for water refills as there is no way to order it and our glasses sat empty and she and other servers visited multiple times. Next: the beer menu: absolutely appalling. We were there for a special occasion and planned to have some drinks. Not based on this beer menu! There was 5 or 6 choices: Heineken, Sapporo, 2 IPAs and a stout. Nothing light. No Corona, no coors, nothing. I understand the theme but we didn't want to drink anything heavy before the big all you can eat meal. Missed opportunity there and needs improvement. When the manager floated around and walked to our area, I mentioned it to him and he said it's a balance of what to have on draft or in bottle/can and also due to the pandemic stuff wasn't moving thru the taps. Okay, I understand that, but make some room in the cooler for a few more cans or bottles. He explained they had 6 taps but only 2 or 3 on because they weren't going thru then and only wanted to offer fresh. I said that's strange we didn't see draft in the drink list on menu on the iPad. He said yes: it says draft or can or bottle under each selection and pulled it up on the iPad on our table and much to his surprise - Nope - that wasn't in there. It said can of Sapporo. and the others didn't say if they were can or bottle or draft. Not a huge deal, but a lost opportunity for sure. The food was very good. For starters: We enjoyed the crab Rangoons and fried dumplings, but the fried scallops app wasn't good at all. The steaks and shrimp were fantastic and the star of the show. The calamari you cook was really good but we both liked the miso and garlic for both the shrimp and squid and didn't like the gochujang ones. (But you have to eat everything, or possibly be charged). We also didn't love the pork or short rib. Really disappointed with the "pork belly", lacked any flavor whatsoever. The dipping sauces are great! Really enhanced the flavor of some of the cooked items. We got pineapple probably 5 times. Grilled pineapple is simply amazing and delicious. We ate it during the meal and again ordered it for desert and also tried the ice creme and creme brûlée. The strawberry ice cream was probably the best I've had in 15 years! We also had gotten the asparagus onions and mushrooms. Skip the mushrooms. I love mushrooms but they are just plain and took forever to cook, due to the size. Overall, we will certainly return, and we will try the hot pot next time, but have had that locally before. based on the price point, trips to MOSU will likely be a special occasion or infrequent but overall recommend a trial visit and a welcomed addition to the area! Pro Tips: 1. Don't use the same tongs you touched raw meats and seafoods with to removed cooked items you will eat, instead use chopsticks or fork... 2.Don't over crowd the grill. Ours really only had 1 hot section to cook, only about 1/2 of it worked and cooked anything. 3. Strategically cook in order you want to eat and based on cooking times, having a full grill of skinny steaks means everything will be done at once and get over cooked or go cold. And the best one: 4. Order fried rice 2nd and onions and pineapple, 1st. Cook and then cut the onions and pineapple and when the fried rice comes combine them (and optional add meat). You can make any combination of fried rice that would likely cost $15-20 per meal anywhere else and you can design it how you desire! Enjoy

Yelp
Great kbbq food im the area! Me and my friends enjoyed the whole meal! Excellent service with a good price.. Really nice atmosphere
