Mosu Hong Kong

My experience at Mosu Hong Kong branch was quite a pleasant one. Actually, I already wanted to visit since last year when the first season of culinary class war was released... Fast forward to this year where season 2 is currently on going; and I am glad to be able to reserve a spot in the restaurant. To be honest, I agree with some other reviewers that the confirmation of the reservation or via whatsapp or email can be improved for sure. Alright, shall focus on the food now! For lunch service, a shorter menu is being served with the option to top up a 3rd snack at 280 HKD+ and a signature noodle dish at 380 HKD+.. Prices mentioned here are based on my experience as of 23 Dec 2025. I decided to top up for the snack as I wasn't sure if I can finish two mains. Thankfully, i made the right choice as it was quite filling for me towards the end. Taste is subjective but overall, I quite like the experience at Mosu as I feel that while there are many layers of flavours being incorporated into the dishes, I feel that the overall palate remained "clean" as the transition between dishes are done properly in a cohesive manner. I will be curious to try the Korea branch one day if I visit :)

Went for the lunch set which seems a lot more value, but I guess ultimately it's managing your expectations before going. But with this, the food is actually pretty good, but defo some misses rather than everything passing the line. I think the Korean beef one was the most disappointing one but the rice was good. My highlight is the jeju speciality which was full of jeju speciality +jeju black pork which was SO GOOD. How they even make it so crispy and good. Also got the private room since there was a number of us so you get to enjoy chef view, but the number 1 here whose the sous chef @mosu Seoul has his back facing us most of the time. And yea, we didn't catch the main guy! Seems like you have to be here at the right time (once per quarter). Service was good, but I think value-wise leaning gimmicky.

🌟 *Finally made it to 黑白大廚餐廳 Mosu — and what a culinary journey!* Every bite was a masterclass in flavor and finesse. The signature dishes — abalone, yuba, shiso, gamtae, and that unforgettable white sesame sea urchin — were pure magic 🧡 Minimalist plating, maximum flavor. Even dessert surprised me: seaweed ice cream that was unexpectedly refreshing and umami-rich 🍦🌊 However, I have to be honest about the pre-dining experience. My original booking was cancelled due to a typhoon, and I was told they could only reschedule once — no refund. I tried to move it to a Thursday dinner, but was told they’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays… which made things unnecessarily complicated. Eventually, they moved me to a lunch slot without confirming, and when I called to switch back to dinner, they said the deposit was different — even though I had already paid for dinner. It was a frustrating and confusing process. That said, the in-person service on the day was decent, though the frequent change of servers (switching between English and Cantonese) made the experience feel a bit disjointed. Despite the booking hiccups, the food truly impressed me. I’d love to return for lunch next time — hopefully with a smoother reservation process — and bring my girlfriends along to share the experience.

A long awaited visit to Mosu, with surge in popularity thanks to Culinary Class War on Netflix. Our first Korean fine dining experience, and Mosu did not disappoint. Carefully curated menu, with each dish delicately prepared. I would say the lighter dishes stood out over the heavier ones (butterfish and beef). The acorn noodle was one to die for.

Been looking forward to trying Mosu for a while now and finally had a chance to visit with friends. And it’s frankly quite disappointing Service - not up to standard for a fine dining restaurant. Upon arrival, I was asked to provide the booking name and phone number. After fumbling for 5min or so the booking was located and I was led in half way through the restaurant. The usher suddenly turned and asked again if I am the party of Mr X. I said no, had to repeat the booking name again and asked to walk back to the entrance so she can reconfirm again..table service was fair while sommelier just said this and this wine without any reasoning at all when asked which wine he’d recommend.. Food - Flavor was okay but not refined. Not sure if it was intended but quite unusual to have 2 fish dishes back to back. And sadly fish was not treated well, leaving slight bitterness in the mouth after eating and strong fishy smell. My friend, who is a pescatarian had 3 fish courses in total as one of the beef course was replaced. We were expecting more creativity in use of ingredients and variety in techniques for a $2,000 per head fine dining meal. The seaweed dessert was the best course in the night. It was a disappointing dining experience overall. Will not come back unless there’s substantial improvement in the menu and service

Enjoyed dinner here. Highlights were the abalone taco, acorn noodles, hanwoo, and ice cream. Vibe is quite chill, especially if seated along the windows and away from the large tables in the back. Service is good overall, but one or two servers seemed quite new. My lone complaint is the mark up on the wine list.

The service is wonderful. We had a great time at this beautifully designed and chic restaurant. However for the food it was a strong start but I was surprised when there were 2 fish dishes being served consecutively. Maybe the menu needs to be relooked at… I had high expectations for the acorn noodles but probably there was too much hype on that, the texture wasn’t nice. However the hanwoo beef at the end was a nice touch as we didn’t realize that we would be able to get it outside of Korea. By the way the reservation confirmation text could be better worded with a friendlier tone.

Bit mixed about this. Think the hype, raised expectations. Service was all over the place - i don’t think i’ve ever been to a fine dining where i had multiple, maybe 5 different people serving us..? Usually 2 at most, a sommelier and the same waiting staff for each dish. we were so confused, one in Korean, another in canto and another in English. The best one was the one that walked me all the way to the restroom - thank you. Food, hmm, it was good but not great, or wow - visually pretty though.
