Motelombroso

"An old, carefully restored road worker’s house on the Alzaia Naviglio Pavese canal is the setting for this modern, stylish restaurant where Alessandra and Matteo welcome guests in a graceful, elegant and yet informal manner. The menu features contemporary meat and fish dishes accompanied by a good choice of wines. If you’re curious about the restaurant’s name, ask the owners for an explanation: could it be something to do with the private dining room perhaps?" - Michelin Inspector

Ambitious cuisine that unfortunately tries too hard We had the 13-course surprise menu. On the positive side, the friendly staff and the wide selection of sparkling wines (including champagne) at fair prices stood out. Unfortunately, out of the courses offered, only two (swordfish and eggplant with seaweed) were noteworthy in a positive way. The rest was more an attempt than actual skill (pasta that tastes like a Cuba Libre?!). We were particularly puzzled by a course with limp green beans and a pumpkin seed dip. The pasta with bottarga as the final course before the desserts also felt out of place in the sequence of dishes. Overall, the visual appeal of the dishes was lacking, and we often felt that something was missing from the plate. Additionally, the portions were too small, especially for the main courses. See photos for reference. All in all, a likeable crew that unfortunately tries to be more than they can handle.

The ambience, the interior, the food, all artistic to its core! Can’t wait to be back! Matteo we love you!

Went for the blind menu with wine pairing on a special occasion and it has been an amazing experience from every point of view. Don't want to spoiler what the blind menu was about but it has been such a great journey with every dish being a pleasant surprise with very courageous but well balanced tastes. Wine pairing was also super spot on and service attentive, caring and impeccable. Sure it is not cheap but value for money is extremely high. Super recommended.

The place is very interesting in terms of location and design. The food was very good and we were suggested a selection of wine that was astonishing. The staff are knowledgeable of every dish and they will explain to you what it consists to the little details. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come and visit again.

Beautiful restaurant, very cosy lightning and nice plants, the experience felt very personal and the sommelier paired all 8 courses with perfect and unique wines, the chef presented every course and we got to experience food tradition from all over Italy, all the courses could be personalized after our own preferences. I personally am not a fan of pasta so they only presented us with one pasta dish so that we could experience the most unique pasta in all of Italy (hair of god). they all spoke perfect English and we stayed for hours eating, talking and laughing with the owners, i definitely recommend this place if you want an unique food and service experience just outside of navigli area.

AMAZING place just a little out of Milan's city center along the Naviglio Pavese. You'll eat incredible food, and drink super good natural wines, surrounded by art works and nature. There is also a nice garden where you can stay during summer. Absolutely a must go.

Their 5 course meal is 80 euros and it barely has any real value, the main course is a few bite of fish but I can’t even finish because it’s way too salty. I really don’t understand those who gave 5 star.
