"Vegan cafes are not places you’d typically find an Infatuation staffer, but the sheer friendliness and vibe at Mother are ridiculously hard not to like. It’s in a pretty canalside location in the Here East Olympic development out by Hackney Wick, and the salads and smoothies actually taste great - not something we can say about the majority of sad-looking sprout salads that we’ve tried elsewhere. It’s good for a post-workout meal, or a healthy pick-me-up. Pull up a seat, order an acai bowl, and pretend you’re somewhere exotic and warm." - David Paw

Service was quite fast! Ordered the Super Nan, a bit heavy, maybe better to pair with a salad instead of fries. Had cheesecake for dessert which was super good (better to share if you had the burger already tho 🤭)

The place was cool for gathering with friends and the service was attentive, but unfortunately the food did not reach the expectations. The meat was ok but the fries were awful, like if they were old and cooked in very old oil, this was disappointing because the prices were high.

A nice place for team dinners and with many friends. I do like the vibes at this place. Also the type of clientele. The burger and fries are quiet good and I cannot complain about the beers they offer. The service could improve if there were more waiters.

We had the Mother Burger with a bottle of Stouterik and the Bavette with a glass of red. Our server was so lovely and accommodating, everything arrived quickly, and was fresh and delicious. The sauce was so tasty I wanted to swim around in it. Highly recommend!

No tap water given despite the heat, even after ordering 80€ worth of drinks. Instead offered to buy 50cl bottled water for 2 euro each . No explanation whatsoever on why no tap water was given , only " it s a special weekend so special setup ". Apparently the law doesn't apply here during events

I quite often go to the Mother bar. First, because it's not too far from my work and second of all because they have good draft beers, good options to have dinner after that and you can come with several people. There are 2 floors and many tables so you almost always find a table, if you don't come on busy days or during a before party they often do because it's the same owner as the Magazine Club. What they could improve is to extend a little bit the happy hours. Because it finishes at 7pm and that's very early to fully enjoy it.

Very nice ambience, good music and a nice choice for a calm drink in the afternoon. The hot rum is very good especially if you have a sore throat. During the night, bar part is enjoyable with a wide choice of beers. The restaurant part also looks good for dinner.
