Update: Went back in for another visit and ordered the custom smoothie again, and the manager offered to give it to me for free based on my previous experience. I appreciated that, but told them I didn’t expect anything free. So I paid for it, but they still gave me a discount on some of the added ingredients. The manager also suggested that the previous order tasted bitter because of the whey protein and suggested that I get the chocolate plant protein. So I tried that, and it was much better and tasted great. The manager also suggested that they could look up my custom order with my phone number for future visits so they can make it exactly the same each time. So I’ve upgraded the original review of one star to now show four stars. Original review: Staff needs to learn how to communicate with customers better. They argued with me because I asked them to add a little more honey to make the smoothie taste sweeter. I offered to pay more for the extra honey, but they wouldn’t accept that and instead kept blaming the bitterness of the smoothie on my custom order like it was more important for them to be right. I explained that I had ordered the exact same thing several times before, and it never tasted so bitter. They said that because it’s a custom order, it will get made differently each time. That’s understandable, but why be so difficult about adding a little more honey, especially when I was willing to pay for it. Arguing just pisses customers off to the point where they leave poor reviews and won’t return.

All of the bad reviews for this restaurant are about the service or hours. None of them are about the food. The food is amazing. Very high quality healthy juices, bowls and smoothies. It’s always nice to have a clean meal on the road. I feel like the workers here are all young 20 somethings or college kids, you can’t expect exemplary service from them in the first place. Most of the negative reviews here sound like Karens lol. Underrated spot, try it out.

the east side is awful, ordered chicken caesar takeout, no chicken, called and they were just the worst service, mean and not helpful, will never go back there for sure!

Mother’s in Bend, Oregon, is a charming restaurant with adorable decor. I ordered the ‘Hello Portobello,’ which was a delicious marinated portobello mushroom sandwich with heirloom tomatoes, caramelized onions, goat cheese, pistachio crumble, herb lemon aioli, and wild arugula on thick-sliced in house sourdough bread. When you bit into the sandwich the immediate flavor I got was the marinated portobello. As I chewed I could smell the fragrant caramelized onions. It was nice that every few bites you got a little bit of the pistachio crumble, that left you wanting more. The heirloom tomato had that fresh from the vine taste to it, it was thickly sliced and had the perfect acidity. The goat cheese and the lemon aioli married this sandwich together tastefully. The flavors were complex and well-balanced. I was pleasantly surprised to find potato salad with my order. It was homemade and delicious, with tender potatoes, a dill-flavored mayonnaise based sauce, and subtle notes of red onion and scallion. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in-house made mayonnaise. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The restaurant was spotless and had a pleasant outdoor seating area. The sandwich was light and refreshing, and I would definitely return for another meal. Mother’s Westside Kitchen is only open for breakfast and lunch, closing at 3 PM. Their menu offers a variety of breakfast options, sandwiches, wraps, salads, bowls, smoothies, juices, and coffee.

My bestie and I took a road trip from California and stopped by the juice spot. Such an cute place and the staff was adorable to chat with but the food was sooo delishhhh!!!!

-Loved- this spot. We were just passing through but stopped for breakfast. We had the Morning Buzz coffee, Sambazon Bowl, Avocado Toast, and Bitty Bites. All were perfect. Everything was so fresh, perfectly cooked and crafted. Everyone we met there was very helpful and authentically kind (like *radiating* kindness! It was crazy!) It seemed everyone was happy to be there, enjoyed their job and it showed in their work. Space was spotless, and there was a freshly stocked kids area with color books and such. If we lived nearby it’d be a weekly (daily?) stop for sure!

My top favorite in Bend! Setting so well done, lots of places to find you chill spot that’s separate from others but you still feel included. Really well thought out layout and vibe. The staff was so helpful and friendly, they’d pop in to see if you needed anything - little conversation, great experience. The food was fantastic. Based on what my friends ordered (smoothies, Caesar, açaí bowl, and a quinoa bowl… tried them all and would order any of them again. I don’t think you can go wrong here, really well done Mothers!

Honestly really disappointing. This was my first time eating at Mothers and I doubt I’ll go back after my experience. I ordered the perfectly sunny breakfast as well as a sweet breakfast bowl. They were out of granola (how this is possible so early in the morning is beyond me) they did not offer a discount for this and I had to ask for an equivalent option without it being offered. To fix this we opted to add cashews, to which they added very few of. For my perfectly sunny breakfast I’d rate it anything but. I got the order to go and upon opening it the avocado was bad and brown with spots. For $17 the avocado is a big part of the meal so it was a bummer to be shorted and given a bad avocado. As for the rest of the meal, I’d say it was so so— definitely not worth the $32 I paid plus a tip. Overall, after reading other reviews and having heard good things about this restaurant I’m very disappointed in the quality especially at the price point.

Best breakfast ever! Says my 5yo. Everything they serve is good. Great coffee, juice, and wraps. It's nice that they have gluten free options.

Love Mothers but have to say I was really disappointed with the service (attitude) today - you all need to slow down and breathe and smile and not speak explicatives (mother f''er) as my 7yo daughter pointed out that the camo guy with the dreadlocks said because he was mad that he had to totally remake something because they didn't catch that it needed to be dairy free due to a food allergy of one of the customers. The girls were also a bit spicy with their "excuse mes" while rushing to deliver food when there was no where to move while waiting in line for someone to service that doesn't know customer service. The girl with the short hair in two little pig tails twirled up was nice and friendly thankfully she was running the register! Be nice you're in Bend!

I have thought about this place ever since my friends and I took a road trip to Oregon. Probably one of the best bagels I've ever had and I've been trying to recreate it ever since and their smoothies were also fantastic!! The cafe is so cute and the cashier was so nice and helpful!

Mother's Cafe is a charming little gem--tiny, cute, and perfect for people watching with its great street-side view. I ordered the Pink Lady smoothie and it was absolutely delicious: a refreshing blend of mango, strawberry, peach, and fresh orange juice. Big bonus points for offering free samples beforehand--such a thoughtful touch! I ordered a turkey and cheddar sandwich off the kids' menu since I hate wasting food, but heads up--they enforce the "under 12" rule, which I found out after the food arrived. A little awkward, but the staff was polite about it. Despite the mix-up, the sandwich tasted great and was the perfect portion for me. Overall, this place is super cute with great flavors and cozy vibes--just double-check the menu rules before you order!

This place was great! Loved the juice I tried; they make it to order so it's nice and fresh but does take a few to come out. They had a steady stream of walk-in and pick up orders on a Sunday. Wi-Fi available and outlets inside to get some work done if needed which I love. Also saw they offer juice cleanses and provide a lot of wonderful information of what to expect.

With the hot temperatures, this is the perfect place to grab a bite and a smoothie. Very limited parking makes it a challenge but worth it.

My absolute favorite spot in Bend! Everything is fresh, nourishing and well thought out. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The staff is SO friendly, the space is warm and inviting and they have an awesome rewards program. 10/10

I requested modifications to an online order. The restaurant missed the modifications. Not a big deal. Mistakes happen. However when I pointed out the issue the restaurant refused to correct the mistake. Very disappointing service.

Love this place!! Had their digestion smoothie at the recommendation of one of the employees and it was one of the most unique and delicious smoothies I've ever had! Also got the turkey Everest wrap on a gluten free tortilla. So so tasty! If you are looking for healthy food that doesn't skimp on the flavor, come here.

Food and drink was pretty good overall but the service was really slow I waited around 15-20 minutes for a to go order which isnt terrible but definitely could have been a lot better I saw people recieving their orders before I ever got mine which was pretty dissapointing to me.

Tried this place while visiting Bend and loved it! The coffee was delicious and had unique flavors, the food was healthy, filling and very good You order then sit down, the staff is friendly and seems run by a small team but they give good service We ordered Baden - Baden: 8/10 Perfectly Sunny: 10/10 2 coffees (can't remember the names but ones was chai and the other a special of the place): 9/10

Quick update since Covid-19 safety measures were implemented. Mother's still rocks! Great social distancing and other precautions (no indoor dining, masks, hand sanitizer, signs and floor markings) in effect. Food and smoothies, service, and outdoor dining still amazing! This time we had the Chocolate Detox and Pink Lady... DELICIOUS! Great little eatery with healthy options. They serve smoothies, juices (including CBD shots), sandwiches, wraps, breakfast bowls, and salads. Grabbed two Açaí Bowls here on a late morning Saturday. We ordered at the counter and our food was brought out to us in a timely manner. Our bowls had good presentation and were tasty. We loved the adorable home-cottage like atmosphere. The restaurant looked like a converted home with eating areas both in the front and rear. Even had a little parking lot out back. Street parking was also available. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Rounding up from a 4.5, this eatery received a 5 for thitype of eatery.

I love this restaurant and come here often but find tipping options of 20/25or 30 to be offensive considering there is no server, have to wait in line and then bus your own table. Can probably pay the employees more and not extort the customer.

I do enjoy this place so. The food options are scrumptious. The only downfall of it is the quandary of figuring out which enticing meal to indulge in! I had to rely on my sweet partners help to decide which meal to get! My fav place in Bend to eat a healthy meal and start your day right! Much better than Lucy's Tacos who will feed you questionable material. P.s the pickle rock cracked me up.

They had a fancy avocado toast but asked for a simple one on sourdough. It was smear of avocado and untoasted for $12. Grabbed a cold pressed juice and it wasn't much more flavorful than cucumber water--supposedly made with ginger and lemon and pineapple but never had a more plain tasting "juice". My son had an acai bowl...and he enjoyed it. Smoothies were good. Min tip to select was 20% (and up) without making it custom tip (a little aggressive imo. I'm all about tipping--but starting a 20% minimum? I was so excited to try this place but don't plan to come back.

I came here a few months ago while visiting from out of town. I still think about that Ham & Jam breakfast sandwich. It was cooked to perfected and had all the right flavors. I will definitely be returning here if I'm ever in the area again.

I am disabled and order through Doordash. Even though they have Doordash as an option, I can't get my order fulfilled with this place. I think they hate the Dashers because they aren't getting a tip, and make them wait Ive watched, on my phone, several dashers try to pick up my order and remain in the same spot for over 30 minutes and eventually cancelling the order because it took too long. I understand that the drivers aren't paid by the hour and have to make money as well as the rest of us; so it has to be the employees. I wont be ordering from them again. I've tried 25+ times in the last three weeks and I've only ever received one. I wont order from here again.

I had a miscommunication when ordering a large order on my end. The ladies were so kind and helped to fix my mistake and were able to make my large order of smoothies in 15 minutes. Amazing people who work here!!

I have booked marked mothers juice cafe while in Los Angeles to give them a try once I get to bend, or. And boy they did not disappoint... first and foremost I am obsessed with the berries here in Oregon and mothers juice definitely pleased me with using the Oregons tasty berries in their oatmeal bowl. This breakfast/brunch spot is super cute with a lot of outdoor seating so you can have a good meal while relaxing with your furbabies. The services was EXCELLENT & the food was so fresh and clean yet so delicious. I am soooo happy I found this cafe and I will definitely eat here again before heading back home to LA. Mother juice... I will think about you while I'm gone and will definitely come back to Bend go eat your food again!

A daily smoothie seems to be in order. Chocolate detox, Little Bear, PBJJ are all popular at our house. Avocado toast was exquisite. The toppings were delicious, the avocado was perfectly ripe and the toast was very crunchy. The Everest Sandwich was tender delicious chicken, good dressing and it was most filling. Rene's roasted chicken is very rich and filling, tender chicken over polenta, with Brussels sprouts, squash, cauliflower and spinach, so healthy too. Loved it and easy to share. There is so much more to try. The staff is excellent: friendly and efficient. Seating outside and inside is comfy.

Friendly and healthy. A nice spot from our Airbnb. Prices are reasonable. They are amenable for modifications to your smoothies. I got the chocolate detox, and wifey got cashew vanilla. Keep it up. Mother knows best.

The smoothies are great but I felt ripped off for the price. The salad was really small and although the flavors are good, $16 is a lot of money for mostly lettuce. If it's an interesting salad with fancy nuts etc then I get that but basic, ceased and no protein...;(

Food and Juice is great. Ambiance is terrible and customer service is hit or miss. The reviews mentioning this are accurate. It's a shame. Nourishing, healthy food but the people not so much...

This place is amazing and is a must stop every time we are in bend. All menu items from juice to smoothies to sandwiches to bowls are so fresh and tasty! I could eat here everyday!

I just discovered I love this place! I get the V lavender smoothie and there's a delicious V GF lemon cake. I have not tried things other than the Buddha bowl. It tastes pretty good but not out of this world amazing. No hate, just not strong enough for my flavor preferences - Active Culture has more flavorful bowls but I need to try more of the menu from Mother's. My review is based on my V GF diet.

Nice staff. Clean. Fairly quick service. Required to buss your own table after you've tipped. I wouldn't recommend the Turkey sandwich. I should have ordered what my wife had. Get the chicken polenta if you must eat here

I'm allergic to wheat so it was nice to see gluten-free options. Their avocado toast was very good. A kinda unique twist to it with corn on the top. Love it!

If you want healthy, organic, made from scratch smoothies, this is the place. No pre mixed bases. The sandwich men is amazing. Atmosphere has improved and it's not as cramped as it used to be.

It's hard not to like Mother's. It's been a quality restaurant for so long and the food is never disappointing. I ordered a Buddha Bowl for lunch yesterday, which was delicious. I was surprised by the price for the portion - $18 seemed proud for a few cubes of tofu and a handful of vegetables with rice. I was still hungry afterwards.

It's always such a pleasure coming into Mother's Juice cafe! The staff is all friendly and nice, the soups are delicious, and you can't beat that cold pressed juice! This stuff cures cancer. No literally cold pressed juices actually cure cancer no joke. Look up Max and Charlotte Gerson and their Gerson method if you're interested. Anyways I love this place. They play great music too! They're a little on the spendy side, but it's all quality ingredients, and who isn't expensive these days?

The quality here never disappoints. I usually order juice however today I ordered the Avo toast and it was so good

I have been experiencing many problems at this location lately. Today I paid extra money to add avocado.... not tasting any or seeing any. A tad disappointed I got ripped off. Only location I never have problems at is the Eastside location. Think I will drive out of my way from now on or just take my business to Fix & Repeat.

Terrible service, we watched as people after us got their food, and when we checked where our food was, they forgot the order, and when we checked in about it we were given attitude....then they brought out the wrong order to our table, and when they finally brought the order they forgot one dish...turns out the cashier didn't ring it up so we waited and waited and were told "oh that wasn't rung up we can't get you that". What food we were given was good, very overpriced for what the servings were...the overall incompetence and attitude was terrible.

We ordered several items togo as we headed out of town and they were all delicious. The immunity booster smoothie was flavourful and the kids smoothie was a hit with the little one.

I love this place l. I get the sunrise wrap which is delicious or the oatmeal which is like dessert. You can't go wrong with anything you order.

With so many locations creating healthy dishes, vegetarian dishes, etc., Mother's has been coming up short. The price point is pretty competitive, but the flavors, preparation and presentation are lacking. Over dressed salads, under and overcooked veggies and flavorless bites. Sloppy presentation and sometimes missing ingredients. Their juices are good, but this is what is over priced IMHO. I love spending my money locally, but not when I feel it's really high. I can have my favorite pressed juices overnight delivered for $6 per juice and it's the same size. Instead of $8 and not much explanation from employees on each juice benefit. The best part of Mother's is their smoothies. The fat burner is delicious. For $9, which is more than some meals, it is large and filling. I wish their was an option for half the size and around $6. Service is 80% good. Nice employees, for counter service. They do have a reward program. Which is nice! This review is under their westside location but goes for all three locations that I have been to multiple times and have watched the decline. Growing too fast? Money before value? Not sure. I do have hope and will attempt them again.

So many great choices at this cute smoothie and juice bar. The cashew bliss smoothie was one of the best smoothies I have had in a while. I like that they add turmeric. The flavors are bold and fresh and I loved the lingering spice from the ginger. I also tried the immune booster (also very flavorful and spicy) and chocolate detox (more of a sweet treat). I tried samples of their quick breads which were tasty as well. The wait was a little long given the amount of people that were present, but it was worth it in the end. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

I preordered online through their website for a wrap to be picked up in the afternoon at 2:40. She asked did you order 6 hours ago, and then said it's been sitting out for 6 hours and we don't have the ingredients to make another one. I showed her my email that said pick up at 2:40, too. I was disappointed because I wasn't offered anything else and I felt pressured to still pay for the food that I scheduled for 2:40, even though it was sitting out for 6 hours, and I won't eat it. Bummer
