Good food and decent place for a chill evening. We sat outside and it was pleasant. They food is good for the most part but doesn't have a variety of options is you don't eat red meat. Fries were a bit on the greasy side for me.

I ordered the lunch special: black and blue flatbread and I chose chicken and rice soup.My husband had the wedge salad. The soup was like some strange porridge...thick and pasty. The flatbread had mushrooms that clearly had turned....earthy. Teeny tiny bits of steak...no blue cheese crumbles that I noticed/tasted.The server took care of everyone around us except us. I think he was the only server for the whole place except the bar. LoL, we got there early and there were a few other customers outside dining.. then others showed up for lunch as well. The server was attentive towards others that got there after us... as 3 tables received their orders before us and we had to wait 45 mins before receiving our food...which as I stated was definitely below par. We won't be back as this was the 2nd bad visit for us. The atmosphere was nice though and they did remove the soup without me asking for a refund..so that was cool. The food wasn't good for sure and the server was just overwhelmed, I think.

Went for a birthday brunch yesterday because we’ve passed by this place many times and the menu was enticing. The host sat us right away on the patio and even brought water for my dog which was very sweet. Our server was very sweet and prompt. We all had bottomless mimosas which were good and refilled in a timely manner. The service and ambiance was nice, however some of the menus looked unsanitary. The bathrooms were very clean and well kept. The biggest disappointment was the food, which was such a letdown given how enticing the sounded when ordered. We should have known when the sad charcuterie board came out that the food was not going to hit. I would have been happier going to Publix and buying a Boar’s Head tray. Two of us ordered the Corned Beef Hash, which came with a conservative amount of actual corned beef and was dominated by the eggs it was served with. It was agreed that neither entrees had any seasoning. I had ordered a side of the candied bacon but it came on top of my entree which was not pleasant. There may have been a communication discrepancy when ordering, so I don’t hold that against the waitress at all. The entire table agreed that all our hash browns were mushy and undercooked. The sausage patties tasted fresh out of a freezer. The stuffed French toast was the most redeeming portion of the meal which my friend seemed to very much enjoy. The lemon cake was also pleasant. I don’t see us returning here, as the food was below subpar and not worth over $100 which I paid for my partner and I. Drinks and service were good, but food is what brings me back and unfortunately between the unseasoned entrees and mushy hash browns it is what drove me away. I wish I just bought ingredients from Publix and made breakfast at home. I was honestly a bit embarrassed that I suggested this place to celebrate my partner’s birthday and I hope that the kitchen improves their quality, bc after looking into the other brunch reviews it seems like these issues have not only been experienced by myself.

I’m a longtime regular at this restaurant, and every year I look forward to ordering a mint julep for the Kentucky Derby. This year, Shawna behind the bar crafted the best mint julep I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced and exceptionally refreshing. Her attention to detail and skill truly stood out.

Google
What a hidden gem and unbelievable find! My family and I stumbled in by accident as we were trying to go to a place next door that happened to be closed. Spencer took excellent care of us and was extremely knowledgeable, and very kind. The food was absolutely Divine! It was the full experience with fabulous ambiance, service, quality, value, and even great coffee! Huge variety and many options to choose from, beautiful cocktails, everything fantastic! Even the restrooms, which is another true sign of greatness! It is a very unique one of a kind place that we will highly recommend and return to again! Thank you again Spencer for making it so special, and a great family memory for us all!

I ordered the fajitas and figured it would be an easy lunch. What came out was super disappointing, even for simple fajitas. The meat/veggies were obviously unseasoned, overcooked and looked like a bad cafeteria meal. I tried to eat it, but midway through my first, I had to send it back. The server, who was great, agreed it looked gross and took it to the kitchen. A manager came out to ask what was wrong and I told him. He seemed to disagree. I asked him if he thought it was prepared well and he said that was normal. It was disgusting. Literally inedible. So I elected to get a churrasco steak instead of remaking the fajitas, which I appreciated. But it came out burnt. Not charred or anything purposeful. Just poorly executed and burnt. A friend of mine ordered a swiss and mushroom omelette and potatoes. The potatoes were definitely brunch leftovers. They were too hard to even chew, but the omelette was edible at least. And while this is happening with us, the table of 2 next to us were sending their plates back to the kitchen. I was trying not to be nosey, but it was obvious, as the same manager was doing his awkward damage control, that their food was bad as well. Regretfully, I had also ordered to-go pastas for the family. They came out as we paid the check (they did take the fajitas off the bill, which again I appreciate). We got the food home, and I already knew, but as soon as the family tasted the meatballs, they said they were awful. I didn’t have it in me to taste them to confirm. Whoever was in the kitchen today needs to be let go. Cooking is not their thing. And the manager doubling down and gaslighting us was real weird. I won’t be back.

Google
Service was fantastic. I was so scared to try something and our waitress was so genuine. Music was a little loud. The crab bread bowl is phenomenal, but the lobster bites are out of this world. The dipping sauce is so good. The smoked old fashion had apple simple syrup and it was really good. The chicken tortellini is a little spicy but has great flavor.

Stephen Dawson

Google
Nothing wrong with the quality of the food. We went for brunch. I ordered the lobster omelette and cheese grits. My wife ordered Benedict. There was an extreme delay in bringing the food to our table so it wound up being either room temperature or cold. Per our request, we were charged for our drinks. There were no apologies. We will not be back.

Yelp
I was finally able to get back to Mother's again. During my last few visits I wasn't able to go sadly. Thankfully on this visit Mother's didn't disappoint. It was Valentine's Day and the place was crowded with couples enjoying their food with roses and flowers on the table. Mary my waitress was perfection in her all around attitude and deminur. Mary was extremely service oriented and made me feel welcome. I chose the right dish, the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and a delicious salad. The meatloaf was very tasty with a great flavor, as was the garlic mashed potatoes. The salad all fresh greens and was a nice addition. Mary refilled my unsweetened ice tea at the right time Coming when I was literally at my last gulp. Kudos to Mother's no wonder why your crowded all the time. Great staff Great food Great music.

Yelp
Local restaurant. Stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday. Not packed, no waiting for a table. Items priced at a good point. Clean and music is not too loud. Table for three ordered a Philly Skillet, CornBeef Hash Skillet and a Nova Lox. Ordered Bloody Mary and also the drink package for $21. Our waitress was nice and her service was good but overall the food service was slow. We waited a bit for our food and the food was cold and portion was a bit small. Would I come back,... depends if there's no other option. I really wish I could rate this higher but can't justify it.

Lee D.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews, but I felt I had to share my experience at Mother's. Our server, Dylana, was consistently rude and unprofessional. She seemed disengaged and often acted annoyed when we asked about the menu, which made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. While the food was good, her attitude really ruined our visit. Because of this experience, I won't be returning to Mother's. I hope the management takes this seriously for the benefit of future guests. .

Yelp
I live a couple of minutes from here and some friends are regulars so i wanted to try it. Our waitress was great. Sweet and super diligent. The ambience is super nice specially outside. We had one of the Flatbreads with beef , blue cheese and bacon which was good. I ordered the Philly cheesteak with slaw. Both of the dishes lacked flavor. The sandwich looked great but sincerely, nothing. Not even the cheese tasted like anything and it was plenty. The slaw as well. I thought maybe I'm sick? Nah. My companion said the same. Maybe a bad day or something for them but not like a oh yeah let me go back experience which it's a shame due to Close distance

Cricket C.

Yelp
Somewhere between family style menu and tavern menu so it hits all cravings. It's a little small inside but definitely not uncomfortable just cozy. Our waiter was great, a young get gentleman. He was very attentive and helpful.

Lisa B.

Yelp
We met friends last night, 9-14-2024, to hear Josh & Jenny Higgins and to watch some SEC football. We started out with the fish dip for an appetizer and the deviled eggs. Then we chose the salmon piccata for our meal. All was delicious! We enjoyed a great old fashioned and we were well taken care of by Bill. We'll definitely be back!

Shelley W.

Yelp
We look forward to going to Mother's. The staff is welcoming and very friendly. The food always is great. Many new specials to choose from. The windows were open the last time we were there letting the fresh Florida air in. We love this place.

Michelle R.

Yelp
We went here for brunch. Service was friendly, but really slow. Coffee refills were lukewarm, at best. My brother ordered the Philly Omelet. He said it was cold. I ordered the Chicken Benedict. The chicken didn't have a lot of flavor, and the egg yolks were set instead of runny. It also wasn't super warm. The lighting was very dim; making it hard to read the menu. I don't think we will be going back.

Charity A.

Yelp
I ate at Mother's for the first time Friday night. We ordered several different things to try and weren't disappointed by any of it. The meatloaf sliders were my favorite. Can't wait to go back!

Kristen K.

Yelp
Walked in expecting a diner and seemed more to be a bar, but turned out to be wonderful! Our server- forget his name, but it was 10 AM on a Sunday- was so attentive to my kids, as well as making sure my bottomless mimosa was never empty! The food is also amazing. I had the breakfast burrito and my one and three-year-old shared an egg and bacon plate for kids. Good prices too!

Joshua B.

Yelp
I had Mary as my waitress when things were rather slow. She was super impressive to be attentive and exceptionally nice to my whole table. She would always ask us if we were okay and if we needed anything else. I was having a rough day and she made it better! THANK YOU MARY!

Roxanne D.

Yelp
Thank you Mother's for hosting my birthday lunch. It was a total surprise that my daughter Rachel put together and I enjoyed it so much. It was my first time at Mother's and it's such a cute place. Love the atmosphere. And they have a really nice patio in front. We all ordered something different which was really cool. I had the Mothers Meat Lovers Flat Bread. It has a lil kick which I loved. And let's talk about those Cheese Curds.... Omg... I'll go back just for those. So so good. Another thing that is great about this place is the service. Everyone was so great. Very accommodating. I love that. Especially when there is a big group. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend this place.

LaShonda K.

Yelp
It was just okay. I wasn't impressed with my food on two different occasions. But the live music and atmosphere was great.

Carrie G.

Yelp
Food is consistently good, staff is friendly and efficient and the cocktails are interesting and delicious!

Bob T.

Yelp
What caught my eye on their advertisement was the coffee rubbed roast beef on weck. This is not a beef on weck. it was a prime rib which was fatty sandwich. No resemblance at all to a beef on weck, and at $16.99, very over priced. $3.00 to "up charge " to a side salad, on your plate, and barely enough aus jus for your sandwich. To add insult to injury, the sandwich was cold , and my wife spit out a chunk of fat. If we weren't on our way to a high school basketball game, we would have sent it back and had something other than what it was. To add a 3 1/2% service charge without warning on your check is getting ridiculous. mother the actual owner? when ask to explain the service charge, said the credit card company does that and we're not happy with it either. When I asked if it was for debit cards as well, which they do not get charged the same for use by customers, she said any card. So basically on top of high prices, customers are automatically charged an additional 3 1/2% assuming they are not paying with cash. She said you would pay the check and then get a refund of the 3 1/2percent when credit card companies are charging us interest to use the card, and then the business is also charging us to use the card, that seems to be a double charge. When you use your debit card which is not Credit, to directly debit your checking account you are now being charged 3 1/2% for that convenience Bottom line, overpriced, poor quality, marginal service. Never came back to ask if I wanted a refill on my four dollar iced tea. Fellow western New Yorkers and fans of beef on weck ,If you're looking for a beef on weck, this is not the place to go. It's even a poor example of a prime rib sandwich.

Lauren M.

Yelp
Are there for brunch the other day. Ordered a mimosa and biscuits in gravy. The menu said Bloody was made with zing zang and had bacon. It absolutely was not zing zang. It was legit just tomato juice. It was gross! The biscuits and gravy were not bad except the egg was well done and small so just kinda pointless.

Jane C.

Yelp
BOOOO!!! We ordered 5 meals for takeout!! Epic fail!! The Asian salad was the only meal right. I ordered a pear walnut salad on romaine. When I picked up she said no pears WHAT? Got home no pears and on SPINACH! Can't eat that. Next the beat salad. THAT was on romaine instead of spring mix. 2 orders of shrimp n grits. Both meals were made COMPLETELY different. I called to talk to the manager. She never addressed a thing. Just said oh ok. NO Sorry. Never coming back. Cost me $110 for an uneaten meal Shame on the manager for not reacting or trying to make this right!!!

Sue T.

Yelp
Food, we got the beef on weck .. well that's what they call it. Fatty as heck!! Came cold& fatty No caraway seed just salt on the bun. Not worth what they are charging It was clean in the restaurant and kinda courteous Service was a tad slow as well. Beware you get a 3 1/2 percent service charge fee & you're not aware of it until u get the bill. Was told that their service charge for using cards was high so we are paying their service charge, not cool. Will not return .

Branden G.

Yelp
Good food, cold beer, great service. Thank you Joy and Shawna for keeping us taken care of.

Bridgette S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Mother's and sad it was off my radar up until this point but I went because they offer a "kids eat free" promo on Tuesdays. Cute place, feels neighborly. They have a nice extensive menu. The staff was polite and I liked their patio seating. Plenty of parking in the shopping center. I ordered the "Beef on Weck" with tater tots and it was very tasty. Great bun! The kids had a cheeseburger and spaghetti and meatballs. The kids meals here also come with ice cream which is very generous. I will be back!

Matt V.

Yelp
Brunch is really good with unlimited bloodys and mimosas for cheap. Menu and quality of food is decent.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. The service was great and most of the food was amazing, including the bread pudding! Amazing! It wasn't a good day for the broccoli for me, it tasted old. Atmosphere was really fun with live music. Great place for a casual date and a fun atmosphere with good food! Large variety of options as well, I cant wait to go back and try some more items.

Mel L.

Yelp
Five star first impression based on a Saturday morning brunch experience. My party of four sat comfortably outside, at a high top table, on the enclosed patio. Heat lamps kept us toasty on that particularly chilly day. Service was friendly and the gluten allergies were handled swimmingly. The menu had many desirable options for gluten free people, including multiple omelettes. My group ordered the Chimichurri Steak with Eggs & Potatoes, Bacon & Eggs Burrito, Spicy Honey Chicken Biscuits, with hard cider, mimosas, sangria, and Bloody Mary's to drink. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection, well-portioned, and presented photogenically. Everyone absolutely loved their breakfasts, and agreed that we found a great place to meet up occasionally. I learned that the bar is open till midnight daily, so, I may be returning sooner than later.

Heather F.

Yelp
Cute neighborhood spot. We came here on a Tuesday and they had a taco Tuesday special. I like how they have specials on every day of the week. On Wednesdays they have wine night and bottomless wine. For taco Tuesday they offer you three options: fish, beef, and chicken. I opted for the fish. It was two tacos with rice and beans as the side. The service was friendly and welcoming. I'll be back.

Larry S.

Yelp
Went to brunch and had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries biscuit and gravy and chicken sandwich with fries. The service was great and inside has great decor.

Maria Paula T.

Yelp
Service was friendly, prices seem reasonable, and interior decoration is nice! Definitely had a majority family population but might have been because of a Tuesday special! We ordered the classic poutine appetizer, the prosciutto flatbread and a 8oz burger. The first two weren't bad but we didn't really think it was anything special. I didn't love the burger but the tater tots (and everything fried) was fried really well. I don't think we would come back for the food but maybe to try some drinks since the drink menu is large!

Lori N.

Yelp
Took a drive out to westchase to visit Mothers. This place never disappoints. It has a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating with good food and good atmosphere. I've been here a bunch of times for brunch (weekend only) and just lunch (weekday). Definitely if you're in the area for a quick sit down bite for lunch, I would recommend.

Thompson H.

Yelp
Went for Sat am brunch. Food was ok. The French toast sliders were really cute and tasty. The steak Benedict was something to try once but would not order again. Candied bacon is a strong pass. Would have appreciated a more attentive waitress but all worked out in the end. Some menu items prices seemed to be very reasonably priced and others seemed to be outrageously expensive. I'd go back again.

Paul V.

Yelp
This place is great. Super fresh salads and sandwiches. Wings had a bit of freezer bite though, like they'd been pre-cooked and refrigerated before recooking and serving. But they were still good if not as fresh as other things we had. Service at the bar has been great but not overly friendly. More of a "just the facts, sir" experience. Bands have been great and appropriate for the space. This is a great value, entertaining spot with competent service and great entertainment. I'd recommend!

Sarah F.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere with lots of spacious seating. My medium burger was crispy and the fries surprisingly had a kick to them so I didn't like them as much. Service was fine and prices were good.

Bridgette Z.

Yelp
Its not bad food for a bar but the service wasnt that great, and everything was pretty salty. They do have a pretty large menu and good daily specials but I'm not going out of my way to come here again.

Don S.

Yelp
Awesome place! Great food and service! Highly recommended. The beef on weck was excellent.

George C.

Yelp
The food is always great. I've never had a bad meal here. The prices are fair and the drinks are fair as well. Service is always good and the ambiance is solid got a local joint.

Adrizn V.

Yelp
If I could give a negative I would. Do not, I repeat, do not visit this place. Five of us decide to go there to eat lunch. We walk in and there's no one at the front desk. We waited for about five minutes, then a server who said somebody would be there soon decided to help us, and took it upon himself to seat us. We said thank you and they said the server would be by. BTW the place was about 25% full. Now about another 7-8 minutes no one comes around, so I asked the girl who finally came back to the front desk, do we have a server snd with a dead pan look, she said yes, somebody will be with you. Now the fun part, we saw one server walk to a few tables near by numerous times with no acknowledgement. Then we saw the original server who seated us walk around to a few tables again never said a word to us. I then asked thr young lady at the front desk a second time, do we have a server, and again, with a dead pan look said that someone is coming. At that point, we waited another five minutes, still nobody had come by to even acknowledge us And we left. I actually said to the girl at the front desk, thank you for nothing and again with a dead pan look just stared at us. Do not bother with this place. Go anywhere on that strip but there.

Charlie S.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner here on Saturday, as we had wanted to try this place for awhile now. My wife ordered haddock fish and chips. The food came out, and it was very good. The price was 19.00. The only issue was the portion was small. Typically this dish has 2-3 good size pieces of fish. My wife's dish had one medium piece, and an exceptionally small piece. I had ordered the chicken parm for 21.00. It was very good, however it might have been sitting for awhile before I got it, as it wasn't very hot. For the price, it should have come with a salad. The atmosphere was very loud, with the live music drowning out any conversation we would have had. Giving this 3 stars, as the taste of the dishes was on par, but portions and warmth were lacking, along with too loud for dinner environment.

James J.

Yelp
Was working out this way and yelped this spot. Mother's did not disappoint. Had the honey chicken sandwich and it was probably one of the best restaurant chicken sandwiches I've had. Coworker had grouper cheeks po boy and had no issues eating it. Good staff and food. Look forward to eating here again

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
The food is good but portions aren't for the price. Good happy hour prices and flatbreads are good.

Rachael O.

Yelp
Chicken parm was delicious! A really fun neighborhood spot with great live music. We had a group of 8 and had no issue with reservation and getting seated! Staff helpful but seemed a little overwhelmed at times

Sujata N.

Yelp
Go for the lukewarm beer, blah food, and worse service - or don't. The only saving grace was the live music on a Friday night. We ordered onion rings (cost $8.99), and got 5 pieces with one of them actually having the skin on. Never going back, and would not recommend. Which is sad given that it seems to be a Bills bar. #gobills

Eteri B.

Yelp
Nice local place , good food and have life music . Have daily specials and friendly people

Rmrm R.

Yelp
Great breakfast @ Mothers for their inaugural breakfast week. Shout out to Brianna. Pictured is the (loaded) veggie omelet & breakfast burrito. Great job!

Jacquelin L.

Yelp
I went for my birthday dinner and a great experience. Food and cocktails were delicious.

Brayan G.

Yelp
Oh man we would come here religiously not sure what happened. The gentleman at the front was no welcoming at all. Server seemed to be bothered by the fact we were there. The Cuban sandwich was my go to. I ordered it and the pork was clearly from the night before. The pork was still cold and the presentation was awful they wrapped this nasty old pork around ham and put it on bread. I honestly couldn't believe she even had the audacity to bring that to the table. I immediately told who I thought was the manager on duty. He said he would bring our server? Like what absolutely no structure. Not to mention the server then took 15 mins to bring the check after that. The ambience may be nice but the service along with the food is a reason to never go back.

Kristine L.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday dinner. We had a lot of guests (30) people and sat outside which was perfect! The service was phenomenal! Suzanne and Mark really helped us out. Seafood (I forgot the name) Risotto- This was good I was drawn to the soft shell crab but I preferred the Steak one better! Braised Skirt Steak Risotto- MUST ORDER* This is not something I would normally order. But boy this was amazing! I liked my better tan. My own dish. Buffalo Chicken Flat bread- This was good Tatar Tots- LOVE Tatars! Truffle Fries - These we're good! Chipotle Gouda Mac and Cheese - We didn't add meat but this was very satisfying We didn't eat dessert at the restaurant because we had our own cake. the I will be coming back to try some!

Seth M.

Yelp
It was a halfway decent corned beef sandwich but was severely lacking in the corned beef. On a scale of 1 to 5 I had to give it a 2 because of how little corned beef that was on the sandwich.

Barbarajo R.

Yelp
I have eaten at Mother's several times and always loved the meal but the last time I was there was AWEFUL. My husband's 'grouper' was freezer burnt and I am not sure it was grouper (he peeled ALL of the breading off - there was so much breading). In addition to that, I ordered the 'carrot cake' dessert. I have eaten MANY carrot cakes in my life but never anything like this! Did they forget the baking powder or what? This 'cake' was about 2" high (maybe not even 2 inches) and was soggy and mushy. I took 2 small bites and my husband then tried a bite. It was sent back and taken off the bill but what a disappointment!!! I will give them another try since I have had several great meals there in the past but if I get another one like this, I won't be back!

Kally D.

Yelp
Amazing scratch made food! Cesar dressing is delicious! Beef on weck was great! Live music and tvs to watch sports. Can't ask for much more.

Staci S.

Yelp
Delicious! Amazing location and fantastic service. Just take a look at the pictures :) delicious and full of flavor. They have live music at times so definitely check out the schedule. I will update and add more to this review after dining down at this wonderful restaurant again :)

Sharon L.

Yelp
Dropped in Sunday to have brunch and take advantage of their bottomless Bloody Mary offer. These folks make a great Bloody Mary! Had shrimp and grits and the dish was fantastic; best I've ever had and I'm a true fan of shrimp and grits! The wait staff was very attentive too. The menu is varied and the atmosphere is cozy. It seems to be a neighborhood favorite to watch sports and enjoy good food and drink.
