"This bar is eccentric in every way. Outside you’ll find a red door without any signage beyond a notice that reservations are required. Inside, the first floor is decorated with LPs, books, art, and eclectic pieces. Downstairs you’ll find the bar itself, which is known for carrying rare whiskeys, many distributed decades ago, along with a house cat who roams the place. Customers are limited to one glass per bottle in order to maximize the number of people who can taste each scarce whiskey. Despite the unique experience, prices are fairly reasonable, ranging between 20,000 and 50,000 won ($15 to 37) per glass." - Summer Sun-Min Lee

If you love whiskey and unique experiences, this please will be heaven for you. Run by the sweet and extremely knowledgeable Motti (who had a special weakness for Johnnie Walker Black himself), the space is a cosy and eclectic collection of liquor memorabilia, books and music in the form of CDs played on some seriously high end old equipment. His collection is a mix of hard to find new releases and lots of bottles from the 80s he’s just opening (fun fact, you can tell they are that old by the lack of bar codes. This is a place for quiet conversation and contemplating a glass of a whiskey you never thought you’d try. We went two nights in a row and it was so lovely! You must make reservations in advance, ideally by phone.
