Motor City Soul Food

Food was delicious! I went Sunday at around 3 and the line was very short. I got the smothered pork chops with mac, collard greens and dressing. I definitely will be back to try more items in the future!

The best thing was the cabbage im glad I listened to the lady over the greens. The turkey wings was a whole wing. Drum and flat. Tasted old and had no seasoning. The yams were definitely out of a can the mac n cheese was good also cornbread horrible. Stay far away from this place Judging by how the oxtails n fried chicken looked im not giving this place a second chance Eat at your own risk. The plate shoulve been 10 no 31 for trash I thought this was bout to slap. Definitely basura

Everything Soul food. I live 70 miles west of the City and crave this type of food. I ordered Wing dinner with corn and mashed potatoes. Good but wings were surprisingly flavorless! Just deep fried. No seasoning that I expected. Real mashed potatoes were ok. Since I don’t get down very often I also ordered a Rib dinner. The sauce overpowered the meat so I’m not sure if there was a dry rub. Yams were ok but sitting in too much juice leaves the flavor bland. Younger staff were excellent, courteous and polite. Older staff…. Attitude adjustment/customer service update would be good. All meals are $22 or more. Portions were somewhat small based on the cost for wholesale purchase. My third visit and peach cobbler still not available from the menu at noon.

I’m pissed! I just ordered a meatloaf dinner. It was around $25. I get home, and to my surprise it’s 2 thick ass pieces of hamburger meat with literally a scrape of gravy on the top of the piece of hamburger. I paid $25 for 2 thick hamburger patties. And of course I called and no answer! Mind yall I live on the Eastside! I’m so done going out to eat man I can’t afford to keep wasting my money! Yall prices don’t match the quality period!

Ordered the rib dinner the ribs was cold ,candy yams was cold ,only thing that was hot was the loaded potatoes. My second order was cold that was a chicken dinner the greens were gross first time there last time there they need to close this place down .And the money I spent they need to close it down.

I ordered the baked chicken with dressing and greens. The chicken was hard and dry but salty. The greens were ok and the dressing was alright, mostly bland. The cornbread was very dry and hard. Not like the motor city soul food I remember from back in the day. Kinda disappointed. Not sure if I will try them again.

Stood in a long line for 25 minutes just to find out they didn't have my selection. They didn't offer a discount on my next visit which I feel they should have. They don't answer the phone so you never know if your preference of food is available. I live about an half hour away.

I was craving some soul food and didn’t feel like cooking so I stopped here. I got the turkey wing Mac and cheese with cabbage. The turkey was very bland like it was not seasoned the cabbage taste the same way also and the Mac and cheese was terrible it taste like they used some kind of cheese sauce and not actual cheese. Now I see why I stopped going here years ago and want ever go back or recommend this place to anyone. So whoever gave yall those rewards and said yall food was good needs to get smacked for lying to people!!!
