Motor City Soul Food

Service was great. The greens were too spicy for me but the mac and cheese and yams were on point. No dining in but parking wasn't an issue.

Food was delicious! I went Sunday at around 3 and the line was very short. I got the smothered pork chops with mac, collard greens and dressing. I definitely will be back to try more items in the future!

Turkey drumstick , meatloaf, spaghetti, yams, mash potatoes, collar greens. Meatloaf was delicious , turkey wasn't tender enough, yams were good. The corn bread was homemade. The staff was very pleasant and approachable. The atmosphere was friendly. The price point was good. The parking lot sit right next to the restaurant. I will definitely go back.

Everything Soul food. I live 70 miles west of the City and crave this type of food. I ordered Wing dinner with corn and mashed potatoes. Good but wings were surprisingly flavorless! Just deep fried. No seasoning that I expected. Real mashed potatoes were ok. Since I don’t get down very often I also ordered a Rib dinner. The sauce overpowered the meat so I’m not sure if there was a dry rub. Yams were ok but sitting in too much juice leaves the flavor bland. Younger staff were excellent, courteous and polite. Older staff…. Attitude adjustment/customer service update would be good. All meals are $22 or more. Portions were somewhat small based on the cost for wholesale purchase. My third visit and peach cobbler still not available from the menu at noon.

I did get the lunch veggie plate. The portions were one ice cream scoop. The dressing still has crunchy veggies and the greens had lots of stems. The taste and the portions have deminished over the years. I will eat there again only if it's a last resort.

The ladies who served me today were so nice and pleasant. First time coming here and will come back!! Food was great.

Sadly, Not impressed the quality of the food has gone down at this location drastically the dressing was salty , meatloaf was a bit different tasting. Finally had peach cobbler and it was not done very mushy and dry. They put your sides in separate containers to me it seems so they give you less food and for the price for two dinners to be around $50 for subpar food with no drink included is ridiculous they use to be $15 for a dinner $25 is way to much.

The best thing was the cabbage im glad I listened to the lady over the greens. The turkey wings was a whole wing. Drum and flat. Tasted old and had no seasoning. The yams were definitely out of a can the mac n cheese was good also cornbread horrible. Stay far away from this place Judging by how the oxtails n fried chicken looked im not giving this place a second chance Eat at your own risk. The plate shoulve been 10 no 31 for trash I thought this was bout to slap. Definitely basura
