Stunning views up top. Drive slow, they have sharp curves here and there. Plenty of parking at the top. There are some side pull-offs to park for a quick picture of the landscape. Just beautiful.

This is one of my favorite mountains to hike. It’s fairly close to me within two hours or so. I’ve hike this mountain 4 times. This year was my first year having snow on the ground so it was very interesting. I definitely recommend hiking. This mountain view from the top are lovely if you’re able to catch it on a clear day. I’ve been there on a clear day too hazy days in a snowy day. When the road is open and the hot is open, you are able to get food. Use the bathroom things of that nature. The stuff there is very friendly.

- Veterans war memorial tower is open 9:30-8 every day and has great views of surrounding mountains! - 3 porta potties in the parking lot - you can hike up to the summit through various paths or drive up with free parking at the top - There are observation points along the road up the mountain - Massachusetts high point at 3,491 feet

I’ll admit..I’m spoiled. I spent time in NC/SC so I spent numerous trips up and down Mt Mitchell which is the highest peak east of the Mississippi. Went up on a Tuesday morning and pretty much had the place to myself, also didn’t help that it was 95° at 10am…it’s not a bad place to visit and I’m sure it’s phenomenal in the fall…but I didn’t see what all the hype was about. (Again..Mt Mitchell).

Great for hiking in the summer and excellent to skin and ski in the winter. Skin up via Bellows South and ski down the historic Thunderbolt ski trail.

Beautiful mountain with gorgeous views! Great place to catch sunset or sunrise! Nice trails. It's definitely worth coming and spending some time with friends and family! You can go on a very top veterans war memorial tower and see beautiful views from above.

what a WONDERFUL place. it was very clean, the summit was beautiful, views from EVERYWHERE. did a one hour hike since i got there a little late but it was so beautiful and honestly a little difficult! went on a weekday and there was still a good amount of people there. thankfully there was fresh water because the water bottle i had was running low. going to the top of the tower was easy but it did feel a little claustrophobic, the place is quite small but still worth seeing the view from up there!
