First time here. Owner was very nice and helpful. Service was fantastic. The food was phenomenal. I loved the Veg tikka momo and the Beef mount masala, chowmein but honestly everything was delicious

The food was delicious! We got the chicken tikka momo ( they are like big dumplings) gravy chicken lollipops, chicken tikka masala fusion and beef skinny noodles.

Excellent food and service. The wait staff was very attentive and provided recommendations on what to select as this was our first visit. The extra spicy was indeed extra spicy and very flavorful. Portion sizes were pretty good and worth the price. We had the sizzling chicken momo for an appetizer and there enough to share between 2 people. The chicken curry was absolutely delicious, that sauce was amazing. The fish Manchurian was good too, the brown sauce was spicy but did not have the same depth if flavor as the curry. The meal was still satisfying all the same. So far the ginger garlicky shrimp Mt. Masala is my favorite. Other delicious dishes are the fried rice, Chicken hakku bakku, and shrimp curry.

Happy to find a Himalayan restaurant, very unique! Flavors weren’t too bad just wish some of the portion sizes were bigger. We wanted to like the noodles but they ended up not being our cup of tea.

Wonderful little place serving a cool twist of Nepali-Himalayan cuisine interestingly incorporated into Indo-Chinese. Great portion sizes and the food was really tasty. Spice levels are pretty spicy, they can definitely make it ungodly spicy if you ask them too! The momos were amazing. The chowmien had a very interesting smoky flavor to it. All in all 10/10!

Nice place, friendly atmosphere. Himalayan tea: very similar to Indian chai. Lychee Lassi: sweet, had bits of lychee. A bit small. Chicken momo sizzling: sweet chili sauce, fairly large boiled-like dumplings in sauce. Himalayan fusion veg entree: comes with some rice, was sweet, got it as spice levels 3 but was more sweet than spicy. Chicken mount masala chowmein: got it at level 2 but was a bit spicier than the fusion. A bit singular in flavor. Liked it with the chili oil from the table. Mango and vanilla ice cream: was told it was homemade, but the texture was icy. Some of the melted cream was fairly creamy. It felt like the freezer stopped and the ice cream refroze after the water separated from the cream. Separate bathrooms for male/female. Male had 1 stall and a separate urinal. Floor was intensely sticky. Staff was attentive and friendly, food was alright. There seems to be a really competitive lunch special. Would try if I could get here for lunch.

The food was delicious and flavorful. The server was helpful (given how unfamiliar my party was with Himalayan Cuisine). My 7 year old nephew loved his paneer tikka masala fusion. We all enjoyed the handsome chicken lollipops (fried chicken, no gravy) and chicken momo sizzling (delicious dumplings served with sizzling sauce). My Himalayan shrimp curry (with gravy on the side) was delicious, and my friends' veg ball korma makani fusion and tikka masala fusion were also delicious. My nephew and I shared kulfi, which was rich and sweet. I will definitely be back.

LOVED the dumplings but everything else was eh. Service is good, the staff immediately greeted us and let us sit wherever we wanted, and the restaurant was about half full. We ordered the sizzling chicken momos - I wish I ordered more of these because these were delicious and the sauce on it was so good. I ordered the chicken manchurian but it was nothing like I was expecting... chicken manchurian usually has some stir fried veggies with it. This felt more like a teriyaki chicken because the sauce was dark and the soy flavor was overwhelming so I couldn't taste much else. My husband got the beef noodles, which were alright. Good flavor in the sauce coating the noodles and the beef was ok but nothing special. Parking is available in the small lot. Overall, I'd come back just to order a bunch of dumplings but nothing else.

Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday based on another friend's recommendation. Far from impressed by this establishment & feel they can do a lot better. Since we were having a larger party, I went here the night before to see if I could secure a spot for us @ an optimal time (6pm) & the lady who I spoke with assured me that it was ok and to just check in later that day as the time got closer, which is what I did. I got there like 30 mins earlier prior and was able to get the anticipated area for 16 people.as people filtered in, they sat down and looked @ the menu. We placed our orders & other than people forgetting what they ordered, there was perha[s only 1 mix up with the food, which happened to be mine. When I finally got my order, it wasn't as good as I thought it woukd be and for the price, it was small. Just like the same as other people in our party. Some p[eople mentioned that the food did not taste good and it was not even worth taking home. I usually tend to like dishes that I order @ Asian restaurants but this was an exception. The restaurant is a fusion of CHinese & Indian w/ the sauces, not so much w/ the food tho. The space itself is roomy & the servers there, although not very helpful (IMO) they were very nice & accomodating. I, as well as others in my party, weren't particularly fond of the food so we do not plan on returning. I would not give a recommendation to patronize this establishment.

Very, very, good flavorful food, attentive service, and chill atmosphere. Lovely music as well. We started with vegetable samosas , that were big and tasty- great dipping sauce too! The best Ive had to date! I got a fusion chicken masala, and my son, a goat one. My only negative was the portion sizes. I felt for the prices, that they should've been larger. $61 for lunch didn't sit well with me. Great experience, but too rich for my blood.

The owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met. It is a very nice place as well. The gravy chicken lollipop are absolutely delicious and they are so addicting. The flavors in the sauce that's smothered on the chicken is to die for. Highly recommend!

Quite unlike anything you'll find anywhere in Jersey, Mount Masala is a must try for foodie enthusiasts and anyone with a taste for "Asian" cuisine - in quotes to acknowledge the vast array of cultures and cuisines that are collectively called Asian, and Nepali food like this is the perfect example of why it can't be lumped in with everything else. Although you might be ordering something like Beef Curry, the flavor profile is completely different from one you'd get from India or Bangladesh. Coming in a classic tin pot, it's hearty and rich, perfect for sopping up with your rice. Where Mount Masala shines is the appetizers. The Jhol Momo and Sizzlling Momos are standouts. You can't say you've tried Nepali food if you havent had momos! The chicken lollipops are also fun to try (but I gotta be honest, they weren't nearly as flavorful or moist as the ones my mom used to make, so I was a bit biased against them). There is a small language barrier with the staff and cooking these items may take some time because they're made to order, but overall I found the restaurant a spacious and accommodating place that I'd be happy to relax in, appreciate the garden and Nepali decor inside, and listen to some Nepali tunes. Big props for serving Halal meat! Can't wait until my next visit!

This place was highly recommended by a friend's friend. To be honest, it might have been hyped up too much. Got the lychee lassi which I highly recommend. It was an amazing combo and worth getting. Then we got the Handsome Chicken Lollipop which was good. I really liked the batter they put on the chicken and the quality of the chicken they used. We then had some sizzling chicken momos. These momos were kind of a let down. They felt like dumplings you would find at the supermarket aisle. We wanted everything out spicy and i felt like none of the dishes we got were spicy. The Chicken Tikka Masala Fusion also tasted like a watered down chicken curry dish. The service here was pretty quick. The place could definitely use some interior designing however. It seemed pretty bare and plain inside. I did however like the plant wall they set up up front.

Restaurant look like every other Indian restaurant with spacious floorplan and plenty of seating. we received promptly by the waiter. Unfortunately, that's where our experience are diving. The waiter wasn't able to explain the menu well. He couldn't even provide us recommendations. We ordered chicken momo sizzling, Chicken tikka masala fusion, and lichee lassi. Our order was delivered within minutes. The food was mediocre. The chicken Momos sizzling looked amazing, but tasted basic. The chicken tikka masala fusion wasn't even close to how real chicken tikka masala tasted. Was a disappointing outing.

A friend and I had lunch there on a very hot day in June. There was little to no air conditioning. The food was good and service was pleasant, but we couldn't wait to get out of there. Unfortunately, I can't remember what I ate - only that not even the overhead fans were working.

The food I ordered was one of the most flavorful dishes I've eaten; Himalayan chicken curry; VERY different from Indian fare. Just amazing. Service was pretty quick, and ambiance good for intimacy or family. Only thing that I found needing improvement was the placement of glasses lip down on bare table; should have been on a napkin at minimum. Will definitely return because of the unique preparation and flavor of the dishes I've had here!

This place was AMAZING from start to finish. Must try dishes: sizzling momos, mount masala chow mein, himalayan ice cream with the lichee, fish mount masala and Himalayan chicken curry. We got the spice level of 2 and thought it was perfect. We eat spicy ... the hospitality was amazing as well. The family that runs this business are very sweet!

Great food and great service. Loved the personal touch of the owner coming in and asking how's the food and if something needs to be changed. The cuisine is Indian - Chinese , very specific to Calcutta and eastern part of India. I am from there and can vouch for the authenticity of this place. Will be back for sure.

**Avoid at all costs!** My experience at Mount Masala was a complete disaster. We ordered three plates of jhol momo, and it tasted unbelievably stale and disgusting. Not only did the food taste terrible, but it also made me severely sick. I spent the entire night with diarrhea and vomiting. This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. Absolutely the worst restaurant ever!

3.5 stars. I wanted to love it, the aroma was wonderful when you walk in. The servers were nice. There was a large party there so maybe that's why service was a bit slow? The flavors were good, portions pretty small given how much they charge though? The tap water tasted a bit funky so I had to order a soda. It was still a good to place to try. The menu is extensive so don't make the same mistake I did, but look at the recommendations from other reviewers first before ordering! I wish I tried the sizzling momo (total FOMO as it was clearly a popular dish there last night).

Wow! I keep trying to support the small businesses but this was a complete disappointment! First of all this garbage was not cheap! It's a little pricey! and you know it's bad when the best thing on the plate is the noodles. So let's go... I order 3 dishes to try the place out -lollipop wings - trash! I got a mouth full of raw dough first bite so that was an immediate turn off. So I tried a second one just to see if maybe it was just a mishap ,Nope same trash - mouth full of raw flour type dough. And they didn't taste fresh the chicken had a weird texture. Anyway moving on. Got a lunch special came with mango lassy. - lassy was good , chicken and noodle was decent but not worth the price ! And that salad was so wilted and just a spoonful I was not even willing to touch that for fear of getting sick. Moving on ....i order the vegetable -vegetable moon sizzling -just Yuck is all I can say about these. The sauce was owful and there was no vegetables in the darn thing just a pocket of dough with some cabbage scattered inside , the sauce was ketchup vinegar and peppers. Yuck. I truly don't know who has been writing these reviews but this is some of the worst stuff I've had in awhile. I wish I had gone to the Chinese place next door ! Do Better !

Everything I have ever tasted has been amazing. They are kind and professional. My family and friends are regulars. This is my first experience with this type of food and now I won't try anything else.

I have been here few times, I love their chicken goldenya fried rice and hakku Baku chicken momo. The service was quick and has a very nice family friendly ambience

It was a cold dark evening and the winds were blowing in every direction. Even the car sensed the winds adding a chill despite the vehicles interior heating system. Little did we know that our dinner choice would situate us at a table reminiscent of a table set out on the slopes of the Himalayan snow covered peaks. Warmth was not our consideration on the evening we discovered Mount Masala but deliciousness of food and joy-filled service were to be our treat. Our navigator informed us that there would be several options for our winter dinner as we pulled into the plaza searching for a parking space. Being the adventurous sort we settled on the Mount, which seemed to be fairly busy. As we walked in we noticed everyone had their coats on ... the reason being that the cold winters winds easily penetrated into the restaurant but I am a boy from Buffalo my coat went off even as my dining partners remained bundled. But that's the lost star in the review because every other element was definitely top notch! Five star! Totally pleasing and a rewarding evening of good food served by people who cared. They could tell that we were novices in exploring the Himalayan cuisine so the entire cooking process, level of spicing, and even the pronunciations were explained to us. We started with the lollipops delved into the Chicken Manchau and Himalayan Crab Makai soup totally forgetting about the interior temperature because the meal was warming us up with awesome flavors! Our entrees were all delicious but what truly made it special was the staff continuing to stop by to check in on us and offering to change anything we might not like. Oh we liked! We liked a lot! Our only regret is that this place isn't located around the corner because we'd be climbing that mountain all the time!

We loved all of it! And I'm so sorry we didn't take pics! There were 4 of us we ordered apps chicken momo, chicken lollipop, 4 different entrees Mount Marsala. Manchurian, Fusion, Himalayan Curry. Everything was DELISH! DELISH! DELISH!

I'd eat here every week if I didn't live an hour away. You HAVE TO try this place. We came at 4pm on Sunday and wasn't very crowded. The owner was sooo nice! She recommended the best dishes. Medium spice level wasn't overly spicy and every dish was better than the last. Handsome chicken lollipops, gravy chicken lollipops, chicken momo sizzling (a MUST), Chicken Johl Momo (I tipped the dish to drink the broth it was so good), chicken choyla, goat tikka masala (my SIL doesn't even like goat and she went back for more), goat korma (I should've ordered one to take home), chicken himalayan fusion, and I think we did a beef dish but can't remember. Just WOW! So much flavor. This is in my top 5 places to eat. No lie. Get there. You won't be disappointed.

We wanted to try this place for the sizzling momos, and they were definitely worth it! The momos are delicious. We also loved the masala noodles and would order them again. The spice level is pretty high for the noodles but in a good way as long as you like spice!

We visited as a group of four on a Thursday night. When we arrived at 7:30 it was fairly empty, but a decent amount of customers arrived after 8, if that factors into your planning. Service was simple, not fast but not too slow either. The food itself was good, for my first time having Himalayan it reminded me of good Chinese food. The spice level is serious, and our friend who does like a kick was content at a 3. The 1 really had no spice if you're concerned about that. Our server actually directed me away from a spicier option and offered a different recommendation instead. I forgot to take a picture, but entree servings are on the smaller side. It would be ideal to get a few to share, especially dining in when the dishes are in bowls and each person has an empty plate.

If eating at Mount Marsala doesn't put your digestive track on overdrive, then you've got an iron stomach. Days after eating here, I am still feeling the effects of the spicy. Sitting close to the kitchen, besides the music and other patrons, there is this wonderful sound of the wok utensils hitting the wok during the process of stir frying. These folks know how to use a wok properly. The Masala Fish Finger, Momo Fry and Handsome Chicken Lollipops were all delicious. The fish especially was my favorite. While deep fried, the breading was crunchy and properly drained and spiced prior to serving. The fish flesh was well seasoned and flaky. My dinner companion and I were fighting over the last few pieces. The Momo Fry with ground chicken was awesome. The dumpling skin was a good thickness and served well to soak up all the spicy sauce. The ground chicken filling was perfect. This was delivered on a super hot fry plate that thickened the spicy sauce. Lastly the Handsome Chicken Lollipops were delicious BUT, some pieces were a tad bit over breaded. It came with what seemed like a mayo spicy sauce that was overpowering so careful how much dunking you do. The mix fried rice was a knockout punch to the gut. So much spice, perfect rice, nice serving to share. It is rare that each component of the fried rice can stand on its own. The peas, the diced carrots, onions, egg, beef, shrimp, cabbage, every component seared in a wok perfectly stands on its own. No overcooked or mushy veggies; carrots or peas! That's a sign of great wok expertise. Last of the notables, the chili fish entree is also delicious. The "American" Chop Suey was a major disappointment. Overly sweet, the noodles did not absorb the flavor of the sauce and thus seemed rather awkward. This was left behind almost completely. I'd steer clear of this dish in the future as I don't think this is for me. A Goldeneye Noodle dish was similarly disappointing in that the noodles were too al dente. They were not reconstituted fully prior to wok frying and as a result the noodles were a bit stiff. The Pina Colada drink served as a great palate softener to counter the spicy blast. Definitely did the trick! Finally the staff are really friendly and provided good recommendations. Mount Masala is a definite gem.

Where has this been this whole time?!?!!!! Some of the best food I've ever tastes. I highly recommend their paneer fusion masala and manchurian. Their spice level is on point and service was very quick. Don't let the strip mall stigma throw you off, the food is absolutely amazing! I will be back.

We absolutely LOVE coming to this restaurant and frequently drive a long distance to enjoy dinner here. The food is to die for and the customer service is exceptional. Our favorites include: chicken manchurian dry, goat mount masala noodles, roti, chicken momo, kulfi and Himalayan ice cream and the chai masala tea....all a must try.

Yesterday at around 2 PM, my family and I dined at Mount Masala and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. We all order Jhol Momo. and it was disappointing lacked flavor entirely. Despite the promising menu, the actual meals were a letdown, leaving all of us feeling unwell afterward. We had hoped for a pleasant family meal but ended up regretting our choice. We won't be returning anytime soon.

I took the recommendation from the food reviewer of the Philadelphia Inquirer and tried this unique restaurant. I had 3 dishes. Their rendition of Hot and Sour Soup was easily top 3 I've tasted through the years. Superb rich broth with cubes of beef soaking in the lovely flavor. The multi dementional flavor was terrific. I only wished it had more zing, more spice to it. The soup was really good. I then had Momo which were delicate dumplings which were light as a feather. They were stuffed with chicken in a slamming sauce. Loved it. To finish up the meal the order of fried rice was another winner. Delicious. As a super nice gester the server brought me a lovely and flavorful drink on the house. I think it had yogurt and maybe tumeric? Unique and a great way to cool down the spice although for me the spice could have been a couple of levels spicier. Service was great, friendly and helpful. This restaurant had excellent food.

If not for Yelp I would not have known Mount Masala even existed. My daughter and I were looking for somewhere new and inexpensive and up popped Mount Masala! The restaurant is in the former Tiffin, and is located on White Horse Road where there are now numerous dining options. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was very clean, pleasant and simple. We were a little worried when we found ourselves the only people dining in, but soon two or three other tables arrived and Mount Masala was also doing a decent take away business. We ordered two appetizers, a soup, a chicken dish and noodle dish. As other Yelpers have written, Mount Masala has both Indian and Chinese influences or Indo-Chinese. My daughter and myself like food with heat (not so much my wife) and the food here was not toned down for Americans. We asked for a 3 out 5 heat or spice level and that was about as much as we could handle. The nice Himalayan ice cream we ordered for dessert took care of the fire in our mouths. Service was extremely friendly and helpful, and our service people explained the numerous options on Mount Masala's menu and made suggestions and recommendations. We will definitely be back and Mount Masala is a great addition to the local and growing diversity of restaurants.

"Finally a local restaurant that can really deliver spicy food" is right and it made me super happy!!! Mount Masala is Himalayan Cuisine Indian Style. Best I could describe it is an Indian-Chinese-Nepalese fusion. While many of the dishes come spicy, you can ask them to make it mild for you, or in my case, EXTRA spicy! Beef Mount Masala Chowmein (extra spicy) - crunchy veggies, tender beef, deceivingly spicy as 3/4 through the dish is when I started to get a really good mouth burn! Chicken Spicy Sour Soup (extra spicy) - somewhat similar to chinese hot and sour soup but a richer broth than I am used to and not filled with mushrooms. The chicken shredded on bite as well. Great flavor! Paneer Tikka Masala Fusion (extra spicy) - simply delicious Paneer in a rich and bold masala. Classic rich and bold Indian styled dish. Brought the flavor and spice! Fried Paneer Wonton - flaky, crunchy and cheesey wontons accompanied by a sweet and spicy tangy dipping sauce. The fusion really comes to play with this dish! Vegetable Samosa - maybe the best samosa's ever! Crunchy exterior with flaky interior. Loved the seasonings and potato filling. Also accompanied by the same delicious dipping sauce as the fried wontons! I already cant wait to go back as I need to try the "handsome chicken lollipop" and the "vegetable momo sizzling" among other dishes. Friendly, helpful service to help you navigate the menu and figure out what you'd like. Oh, did I mention they are BYOB?

Finally some decent indo Chinese food (if that is a real term). It was refreshing to get lollipops very few Indian restaurants serve them and these were good. The momos are really good. And if you like Indian street Chinese soup this place is a must go. Our new server messed up the order but the food was worth the wait Worth going here just to have momos. Am so glad my kids are hooked in to them too.

Indian food can be hit or miss for me but this place is a huge hit. The food is amazing and has great flavor. Be sure to note that it can be very spicy. They asked us how spicy we wanted our food on a scale from 1-5 and we said 3. It was super spicy so I would recommend a 1-2 if you don't like the food spicy. 10 out of 10 would go again.

I am perplexed - why is this place so highly rated? Upon arrival at noon on a Friday, we were the only customers. My experience began with receiving a water glass with a 2-inch red lipstick stain on the rim. Not a great first impression... The Makai soup appetizer which was included with the Lunch Specials consisted of a few kernels of canned corn in a glutenous, overly cornstarched bowl of one of *the worst* soups I have ever been served in a restaurant. (See pic below) The waitress described it as being "creamy" but there wasn't a hint of cream or dairy in it. Just cornstarch, water, sugar, salt, and probably some of the liquid from the can of corn, if I had to guess. The Paneer Mount Masala Lunch Special ($8.95) was a surprisingly stingy portion - 8 very small pieces of Paneer in an unappealing reddish and glutenous sauce, and two separate scoops of pickled vegetables and a slaw of sorts. The pickled vegetables were the best thing on the plate. The Fish Manchurian Lunch Special ($8.95) was also a very small portion - maybe 5 small pieces of fish (no more than 4-5 oz.) in another very glutenous sauce. The fish itself had an almost Inari-sushi-like texture, as if it had been lightly battered and fried yesterday, refrigerated overnight, and then tossed in a wok today. I didn't think this was very good at all. What I didn't realize was that the Fish Manchurian Lunch Special is served in their "wet" style by default. After seeing all of the interesting Yelp photos of the "dry" version of this dish, I had my mind set on getting it "dry" before I arrived. So I made a last ditch effort to save my lunch experience and asked the server if I could switch my "wet" Fish Manchurian for the "dry" version instead. She agreed, but alas, when it came to the table it really wasn't much better. The dish is just too salty and oddly textured (that Inari effect I mentioned). I would definitely not order this again.

Ordered The A1. Handson Chicken Lollipop was super delicious along with the dip which tasted like a sweet Mayo mixed dip. The chicken mount masala was good and had quite the bite! Lol Roti of Course was delicious to dip

Some of the best food I've had in recent memory. Best momos I've ever tasted. We've driven from Jersey City twice in a month for their veg momos and chop suey. We've tried a variety of fish dishes as well that were really nicely made. Everything is flavorful, perfectly spiced, and crave-worthy. A must-try Himalayan experience!

Good service. Great lunch special. Perfect place to go when you can decide between Indian and Chinese food. As a spicy food lover, this place is a local favorite.

Omg... If I could give 100 stars I would. This place is so awesome. The waitress was really great explaining all the diff cuisine and she was super helpful and friendly. The chef is amazing. The food had tremendous flavor. We loved everything we ordered. I can't remember the names but it was fish curry and cauliflower and both were spicy but not crazy overpowering. We also got apps that were really tasty. I can't wait to go back! Update - 2nd visit. Ordered take out tonite. The owner is so friendly and courteous. She remembered me from our first visit too. Our order was ready and had forks and napkins in the bag as well. The food was incredible again. We got the fried paneer wontons, veg goldenya fried rice and shrimp Manchurian dry. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We love this place UPDATE. Still very much 5 stars. We love this place. We love the owners. The food is amazing!! We have tried a lot of diff things and love them all. The owners are so gracious and humble and sweet. I wish we went here more and if it was closer we def would be there all the time.

I've had their Fish Masala 5 times in the past two weeks. It's good with gravy, but absolutely amazing dry! Took 1 star off because 4 out of the 5 times I went to pick up my food, there was no one at the front and I had to wait 3-5 minutes before I was even acknowledged. With such amazing food, I would hope they hire an additional hand to have service that matches.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant & the best restaurant for a first date. I've never had dumplings that tasted this good before in my life!!! I'm in love. They make a great dramatic entry too sizzling on the plate. Quality, low cost (no price paranoia) items from a BYOB restaurant that expands your food culture horizon. Ordering items one by one allows you to take your time and hang out at the table in a non noisy environment so you can bond well with your company... no rush/paranoia at all. Mount Masala definitely is the best restaurant in South Jersey area. They offer a cuisine that is not mainstream, delicious, and at perfect price point. The restaurant also close later compare to others in the area. After ready the review on Yelp, I went in for dinner on Friday night. The restaurant was almost empty as we went in at 10.15pm. The service was good, not overbearing. My only suggestion is that the server should know a little more about the menu especially for first timers like us. I had to go to Yelp to see pictures to make sure I order what I'd like. My friend and I ordered: Himalayan Crab Makai Soup $4.95 - it's too sweet for me. Not really my cup of tea. Beef Mount Masala Fried Rice $8.95 - good portion, delicious, spicy as I requested. Good amount of beef in the rice. Chicken Manchurian $9.95 (Dry, but get gravy on the side) - very crispy, tasty, spicy (as requested). My favorite on the table!!! It comes with a side of white rice. Mango Lassi $3.95 - sweet and cold enough to cool down the explosion in my mouth. All in all, I would certainly come back to try other items in the menu. The food really blows my mind.

This is my go-to place for indo-Chinese and Nepali food ! The sizzling momo, dry chicken lolipop and the haku baku noodle is a must try Make sure you ask them to modify the spice level per your taste. I can't stand a lot of heat so medium is good enough for me

It is a nice place if you love Indian Nepalese cuisine in general . I went their especially to have momo( Nepalese dumpling ) and some noodle. Someone recommended this place and thought I would give it a try. It is half an hour away from philly so when you are coming from the beach it's a perfect place to stop for good food. What we ordered Sizzling vegetable momo Vegetarian Noodle. Aloo dum Sizzling momo the name comes from a very popular dish Sizzler which is nothing but a chicken leg or breast cooked with some gravy vegetables and some noodle on the side. But this time it's just a momo cooked with their special gravy sauce. It was not bad but I would prefer just steamed Momo next time. I do like the fact they make their own dumpling wrapper and don't by any dumpling wrappers. Noodle was also good. It was made in a wok and had that smoky flavor which I really enjoy. Aloo Dum, which is suppose to be boiled potato with some cilantro, green onions and sautéed mustard oil with fenugreek and mustard seeds in it can be gravy like or not. But their version was completely different they fried the boiled potatoes and mixed with some chilly paste. I did complain about it and they seem to agree and apologized. I would recommend anyone going here to try steamed dumplings they are really good.

Awesome flavors!! This place has really great tasty dishes. I've been enjoying their Chicken Mount Masala (dry) extra spicy Bring on the heat!!! Their samosas also excellent. Their veg momo sizzling is the BOMB must try! Each bite is full of flavor and a party in my mouth. Their lunch special is also a good deal and their mango lassi is delightful. I'm a regular now!

We also ordered Goat Chilli and Chicken Chowmein but the food were so good we dived in and forgot to take more pictures. The customer service was amazing. The restaurant owner was very nice and friendly. And the food!!! Immaculate. I absolutely will come back soon.

I've always been curious about this restaurant since we've been taking our son for his haircut next door for years. After finally visiting, Mount Masala absolutely lives up to its 5 stars, a rarity, with a combination of good food, portions, and value. After a winter vacation we visited on a Saturday evening with friends after our flight. We were a little tired but still need to get something for dinner. The restaurant is not fancy and overly pretentious, simple, clean, it has the feel that either you're going to get something amazing because they concentrate their energy on just the food or something horrible. Well, luckily, we got the former. I ordered the Himalayan fish curry, you can choose the level or spicy from 1 to 5, I stayed in the middle with a 3. My wife ordered the chicken chow mein, we also ordered the shrimp fried rice hakku bakku which the waitress informed us meant smokey and not spicy. The food itself was excellent, savory and flavorful. For desert we ordered the kulfi which tasted like a marshmallowy ice cream. In general we had a great dining experience, and I look forward to coming back to try other entrees and appetizers that we saw from other tables such as the sizzling chicken or the chicken wings. My only regret is that we haven't tried out this place sooner.
