Hotel Moure | Best places to stay in Santiago de Compostela

"Two-star hotels are rarely this sleek, cool and minimalist, with the odd groovy touch in the décor. The Moure’s conversion from a traditional building on the north edge of Santiago’s historic centre won architectural design prizes for its clean lines and clever use of the limited indoor and outdoor space – including a bijou outdoor patio. Continental brekkie included in the price and there’s reasonably priced parking nearby. The hotel is on a narrow, quiet, one-way cobbled street, along with several other small guesthouses (including the same family’s Hotel Altair). It’s a few minutes’ walk from the Cathedral and a score of restaurants and bars. All in all, a cool and convenient base for exploring the historic city centre. " - Dana Facaros

I am walking(ed) the Camino and my grand finale at Santiago on October 7th, 2025 was complete with an EXCELLENT STAY here. I was greeted by Roberto whose ENTHUSIASM is contagious, extremely professional and helpful, within minutes I was settled. Before I rate the establishment as a whole, I will fast forward to the next day ( 8th) I was greeted at Breakfast by Manuel. I was again blown away by how professional and enthusiastic he was, he was very humble and extremely helpful. If only judging by these two gentlemen they have a FIVE star rating from me. The breakfast spread was MOUTHWATERING! Various cheese, cold cuts, even a sweet jelly made with nuts ( that is common to that region) was available, freshly squeezed orange juice. I could go on.||Hotel: Conveniently placed steps away from the Monastery, location is PRIME! IMPECCABLE upon entrance, modern and appealing to the eye! The common seating area/breakfast was beautifully designed and the space also had an atrium/skylight( gorgeous) |My room was on the 4th floor, only TWO rooms exist on that floor, so you can imagine the elevator WAS ALWAYS FREE! It felt special. My room was IMMACULATE! Had a skylight, EXTREMELY comfortable mattress, EXTREMELY clean bathroom ( water pressure excellent) I HAVE ABSOLUTELY nothing bad to say! Upon entrance, to staff, to room it is outstanding. If you want to be treated as if you are the only one in the hotel, if you want prime location STAY HERE.

This place is fantastic, the people are really friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is really cool and funky, and the included breakfast was amazing. After walking from France on our Camino, it felt like we were teleported into the future, like the Jetsons cartoon. We wish wish we had stayed here before we walked to Muxia. Can't say enough nice things about the man and woman who hooked us up. Gracias and Obrigado

Amazing location, walking distance to the cathedral and all the adorable shops and restauranrs. Staff was lovely - helping us with taxi arrangements for a flight and even packing us a snack bag because our flight left before breakfast. Coffee pot in the common area was incredible. Aside from all that, the room was so odd. The shower was right at the room entry but not frosted so no privacy. Similarly the bathroom itself didnt have a door, so no privacy. There was an adorable bath area separate from the shower/toilet but also no fully closeable door. We stayed in a room with two twin beds, it was awkward. We did get a good laugh but I am not sure why this design was chosen for the room.

Stayed one night in the Moure hotel which was a most surprising place. I gathered from reviews and website it was of a modern minimalistic style but did not realise it was actually more industrial in style! The entrance is all bare concrete floors with a separate block as a step in one area and does not have a reception area as such just a tiny little office. However the warm welcome from the very friendly and helpful girl in the office put us at our ease immediately. Our double room was at the front, the doors to the rooms are bare prison like steel and the room was very sparsely furnished with a sliding panel on the wall housing an alcove with a few metal hangers for storage. In fairness pictures from website are very much curated and although everywhere is spotless they are not as comfortable as pictures suggest. I had read about the glass panel into the bathroom but the extent to which the occupant is on show was most alarming with the door into the bathroom also acting as the door to the shower and another glass panel to the side of the bedroom looking into the bathroom also! So don't stay here unless you are very well acquainted with your room mate! There was also a lot of noise within the building from other rooms as the partitioning walls seemed quite thin. The breakfast was mostly self service with one of the lovely staff serving if you needed toast or your crossiant heated. The selection was small but lovely with the most delicious brownies on offer. There was also a coffee machine which guests could use at any time which had excellent hot chocolate also, a very nice touch. Breakfast area is small with again spartan furnishing. In all just a step above hostel accommodation but with excellent friendly staff.

I've stayed at Moure hotel in several occasions and I have nothing but praises. The rooms have a modern hotel boutique aesthetic. Some available with balconies, beds are comfortable and housekeeping is on top of their game which is not limited to the rooms.but common areas as well. The reception staff is second to none. Their breakfast is excellent with a variety of charcuterie, yogurts, fresh fruits, cereals and selection of teas and coffees. While there is no in house food service aside from breakfast the hotel's central location is closed to a variety of restaurants for whatever you crave. I conside it my home away from home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Booked direct with the hotel a few weeks before arriving. Communication was good and paid for the stay on check out. We had a double room with an ensuite shower and an outside bath (unfortunately, never got to use). The hotel and room are simple, modern and very clean. Welcomed on arrival and given a map of Santiago with recommendations on where to visit and where to eat. The hotel was well located with a 5 minute walk to the cathedral. There is a lovely restaurant close by called Guarm Bistro, turn right out of hotel and take the next road on the right and it's half way up the road on the right (I have also reviewed the restaurant on trip adviser). Breakfast was a simple continental style offering cereals, coffee, croissants, cheese, jam, etc. They also made thick doorstep toast using freshly baked bread and freshly squeezed orange juice, which was a really nice touch. On the morning of our departure the lady ordered us a taxi back to the airport. Overall, there were no complaints, and we had a pleasant stay in this lovely small hotel.

After a 24 hour journey from Canada, we were greeted by this gentlemen at the hotel Paulo. We are literary within our first hour in the city and he is so welcoming, friendly, patient….just a great brand ambassador of this hotel.||The room we got #32 is devine. This is old town Santiago but it has been modernize, clean, and we have a soaker tub with a view of the city and a shower in the other part of the room. I typically wait until the end to write a review but my experience can only get better from here,
