Moustaki Authentic Gyros (Fishtown)

My husband and I been wanting to try the food here for some time so we stopped in yesterday. The food is definitely very good and the service was very good as well. We waited maybe 3-5 minutes for our food to be ready which was impressive. Our only complaint is the prices. Feel like it is slightly over priced. Definitely recommend though.

Food was pretty good. I'm not sure about these other reviews, but I was happy with what I got. Gyro included a free drink, actual Greek lemonade was what I got and it was good. I spent six months in Crete so I've had plenty of good gyros. My only negative comment is it could have used some more fries in it. But that's not really negative because it was filled with lamb instead. The AC was not very strong, I suggest to-go orders versus eating there. I'll definitely come back!

I love this place! We ordered for the second time last night. Recommend trying the 3 dip combo & the gyros were hot & fresh. Will definitely be ordering from here more & happy to have them in the neighborhood!!

paid for a $15 chicken gyro and it was far worse than the $8 gyros that you can buy on the street from food carts. I ate it maybe 2 min after they handed it to me. I mean, it's a gyro so it'll be tasty regardless but this was towards the bottom of gyros ive had for the value. The girl that helped me seemed nice, but other than that unfortunately my first impression was pretty poor... Oh and also for what I paid I didnt really feel full, which is WILD bc im a pretty lean dude that doesnt eat a ton. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

Did a door Dash to my vehicle since I was working. Ordered Chicken Souvlaki platter with salad and rice period tasty great and plenty of food what a great value. Superfast delivery to under 30 minutes

No welcome as I entered for lunch, staff seemed surprised and arose from hiding on phones behind counter. I found a paper menu and looked it over. Ordered lamb gyro combo which said comes with fries and a drink. Many sodas lined up on counter so I pointed to a brisk tea and the cashier proceeded to add 3.25 or something after I had already ordered a combo with drink. I asked and he clarified only tiny greek soda waters were included in combo. Fine. Watched cook take old gyro meat from fridge under flat-top to warm up on grill. Not sliced from the spinning meat (without heat on it) behind counter. Asked for meat well done because I don't trust that under the counter meat. Said ok. Got my meal and went back to my jobsite to eat. Upon opening the container I was overwhelmed by smell of burnt lemon juice. The meat was not well done and had an acrid taste to it. I ate half because I was starved but ultimately was so bad I had to throw it out. The waffle fries were fine. I wonder if the burnt lemon flavor and smell was from unrinsed citrus grill cleaner. Bad vibes. Suspicious meat. terrible smell and taste. I will not be back. I'll update when I get sick later I'm sure. Update: My discomfort did not reach the level of illness. A pleasant surprise.

Always fresh, consistent, great portions , delicious and affordable! They prepare the food quickly but I never feel like I'm eating anything that was rushed.

I love this takeout location in Fishtown. My favorite is the crispy chicken gyro, which has the special Moustaki mustard sauce, that's like a light honey mustard. The chicken is crispy and abundant. The kids pizza is also tasty with thick cut fries. The service is quick, the location is small and designed for takeout, and the prices are very reasonable!

Our New Year's Eve host surprised us with gyros from here & they hit the spot. I had the lamb and it was great, especially with the added French fries inside. The filling was adequate and the whole thing withstood sitting around for at least a few hours before I was ready to devour it. Based on how good it was then, I'd love to try it fresh and hot. I'll definitely be back!
