"Beer and fire are at the heart of this establishment, whose name translates as "Malt & Wood". Next to the Beerze family brewery, which is steeped in history, there is an American-style bar with a stone pizza oven at the front. The back of the restaurant has a raw industrial feel. The chefs like to work with the Josper charcoal oven, parrilla grill and Oklahoma smoker to infuse their dishes with smoky flavours. For example, they put a unique twist on vitello tonnato by searing the veal on charcoal. Of course, meat takes centre stage in these generous and ingredient-led dishes, but there are also vegetarian and fish options on the menu to whet your appetite." - Michelin Inspector

Visited this place yesterday for spending a special evening with my family . The place is about 20 mins drive from Eindhoven , but for the quality of food that is catered here I would do this willingly . The meats were tender and packed with flavour the service was just right . For three people we spent about 180 bucks . I would recommended this place for the pulled Pork and briskets , the likes of which I am yet to find in Eindhoven

Excelllllent service. Personal, genuine, pleasant and very thorough. If you like meat++++ getting the Mout & Hout plank , will address your needs. I was hopeful for the spareribs, which were okay. The pulled pork definitely was the star of the show.

When biking in the weekend it is a nice place to stop and to drink a beer. After the remodeling it’s a bit more noisy. Nice staff doing their best to make people feel comfortable.

We dropped in here by chance as we were staying at the local campsite and were cycling past. It was a festival weekend and there was an event on. We were made very welcome and stayed for a few beers while enjoying the DJ's and music. No real ale as it was a festival with limited beer choice.

Ask the manager if there is an option to do something for a birthday dessert. Got a no for an answer along with an irritated face and attitude. I get the service industry could be stressful but the hospitality from him wasn’t great :( other part time employees were nice though.
