Only leaving this review because I emailed them in hopes that they would at least reply and apologize. They never replied. We went to see A Quiet Place. The staff was friendly. The theater was absolutely disgusting. It was clear nobody cleaned up after the previous showing. There was food leftover all over our assigned seats so we sat in different ones. We stayed because we really wanted to see this movie, otherwise we'd have walked out. When the movie was over, we were exiting and the office door was open. The manager was sitting at the desk scrolling through social media. Now I know why the theater was disgusting. Lazy and neglectful management. How hard is it to just walk through the theater and make sure it isn't gross? We will never go back.

This was a great theater! We came on a Tuesday for the member deal. The food is definitely where they get their money as it’s pretty expensive but the food was really good. We got the burgers and they got our modifications right as well. The free member popcorn was also great and we’ll certainly be back for more movies. Left car in the parking lot and it was fine. But we didn’t leave a backpack in visible sight so that probably helped our car not get broken into.

Nice theater with recliners. Smaller amount of chairs in each theater so not overly packed. Friendly staff and tasty food. We had the pretzel bites, sweet potato fries, Nashville chicken sandwich, bacon cheese burger, and churros. All were fresh and well made.

Perfect example of what happens when people just do not give a F. Need a beer? It's out. You wanted a certain type of hot dog? Sorry. The floors are filthy and the bathrooms stink. Employees are much happier standing around talking ish. The whole establishment is a estimate to laziness and an inability to create an environment that a customer might enjoy. Hire stupid people, and get subpar results.

Been going here for almost 20 yrs for date nights, girls night, and family fun as well! Food has changed over time(smaller portions) but still one of my favorite spots to enjoy food while watching a movie.

Nice theater with a great food selection. A couple of detractions: 1. The restrooms were filthy. 2. It's advertised as a "Tavern." In reality, the alcohol selection is very limited. ...still a decent theater though.

Nice movie experience. I think they have 12-14 separate theaters with large and giant screens. Sound system is superb and the volume was right…. not ear shattering. Seats have tables for snacks or dinner if you desire. Leather seats are very large, comfortable and can fully recline. Great parking and convenient. Facility is well maintained and staff are friendly. Try a matinee for a lower price. Only issue I had was the seat map didn’t match the layout in theater 7, so I wasn’t seating where I thought I was going to be.

The seat I reserved didn't work. It takes too long for food to arrive. My order was HEAVILY SEASONED to the point where I could feel it sitting on my tongue and I couldn't finish it. I'd always wanted to try the behemoth - $20+ for burger and fries- but was sorely disappointed. I told a rep I literally knew my feet would swell with how much seasoning was on there, but no refund was offered. The women's restrooms are seemingly NEVER clean.

One of my favorites places to decompress! The food is a grade above your typical standard movie theater concession food. They offer foods for all dietary restrictions. The staff is very friendly. I love that you can schedule your food and beverage delivery before you arrive at the theater.

Ever since high school, this theater has been my family's go-to spot for movies (after the Regal Cinemas Hollywood 24 theater started charging double for tickets). Movie Tavern (MT) has always had a devil may care attitude about it and once I hit 21 and could legally purchase drinks- it made this theater that much better! MT was the first theater that I knew of that served ACTUAL food (not cheap-ass hotdogs, fries, or nachos that other theaters charged $15 for each - although, they DID start that way) and until Studio Movie Grill appeared on the scene it was the ONLY theater that served alcoholic beverages. When they started offering the $20 fill-up mug that you could get refilled as often as you wanted with soda (for free) or that you only had to pay $10 to fill up with beer (it's a huge mug), I bought one for me, my best friend, and my uncle. We used those mugs SO many times. GOOD times. I still remember when the menu changed and they had the King Kong Bacon Cheeseburger on the menu for $10. It was "a whole new world!" Anyway, enough reminiscing. I would love to say that MT is still this amazing theater, but it's just not. The double bacon cheeseburger I had tonight was good, but the bacon was a bit chewy and the burger itself was completely unseasoned. The bun was super greasy too. The fries were actually really good in comparison. Could've used some salt, but I ordered a small cup of queso to dip them in. As it turns out, they stopped doing the good queso again and it's just nacho cheese sauce. The fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy - not dense at all - on the inside. The perfect ratio for fries. I would not have guessed the fries were going to be as tasty as they were based on looking at them. They just looked like regular old steak fries. The movie we watched was The Marvels. It was terrible. Honestly, we discussed how bad it was on our way home and considered the idea that since the writers had gone on strike this past year ...maybe they tried having ChatGPT AI come up with what they needed instead? Can't blame the theater for a dud of a movie though. I CAN blame the theater for having sound problems. During the beginning of the movie we noticed that something was weird about the sound, but we couldn't pin it down right away. It took until the action scenes really kicked in for us to figure out that the actors voices were sounding as though they'd been muffled by something. I actually got up at one point and walked around the theater showroom. It turned out that none of the speakers on the walls were producing any sounds whatsoever. All the sound was coming from the front speakers (behind the screen?) and the rear speakers (over our heads?). I DID go let someone know and she let the manager know. The manager went to go take a look and I even heard the sound go completely out for a split second as she tried resetting the amps in the projector room, but it didn't help at all. We missed a lot of the lines that were being said throughout the movie. I didn't want to miss out on any more than I absolutely had to, so I just stayed seated and continued to watch the movie as if I'd become partially deaf... regardless, the movie was bad. Cool graphics, funny moments, but the plot holes were bigger than the jump point holes in space...

Great customer service! Good food and better prices. The atmosphere is calm & the theaters are clean. Def my go to spot for enjoying a movie.

On Saturday 8/19, I purchased (3) tickets from the Tucker Movie Tavern box office to watch the 9:00pm Blue Beetle movie. Later that evening myself and 2 children arrived at the Movie Tavern. My oldest son unfortunately left the tickets at home in another pair of pants. The manager on duty specifically said she recalled me coming in and purchasing the tickets earlier that afternoon but because I didn't have the stubs she wouldn't let us in to watch the movie. She then offered to sell me more tickets! This was unbelievable! She saw me purchase theses seats and now wanted to sell me 3 more tickets so my children and I could watch the movie. I declined and asked for a refund if I went home and returned with the stubs. She told me she would not issue a refund. Even with the stubs after seeing earlier that afternoon! I asked for movie vouchers in which she decided that she'd give me (2) vouchers when I paid for (3) tickets. I was powerless and completely at the mercy of a tyrannical manager. And what the worst part about it was SHE, THE MANAGER, SAW ME PURCHASE MY TICKETS HOURS EARLIER!

Car got broken into along with 4 other cars. Very disappointing the staff was excellent, theater clean and comfortable... It's the location---multiple vandalism... I WILL NEVER RETURN

This place is very next to where I live right now. Last weekend I was here to watch Jurassic World Movie with my friends. This Movie Tavern theater showing new releases paired with gourmet eats and cocktails available at the push of a button. Absolutely love all the renovations which are newly done. The ticket prices are so cheap here compared to any other places around the area and the selection of films are great. Awesome drinks and decent hot food at reasonable prices. It has very clean and good seating. Very few in the hallway for the movies. The screens are bigger and the chairs recline. Lounge and heated seats available here. For $5 all day Tuesday tickets and free small popcorn for rewards members where membership is free. Lot of free parking available in front of the theater. Here the staff is very nice and helpful. Looking forward to returning soon with friends and family again.

This theater is in the hood lol straight up *plays I'm So Hood by T Pain* Okay but for real this theater is not my usual type of theater due to the demographics. The ticket prices are super cheap, like NCG theaters. They have a wide variety of food, however that shit adds up FAST. I paid for myself and my bf and we got the Creed 3 collectors cups and 2 orders of BBQ pork fries. $45?!!!! Christ! And you STILL gotta tip smh. I tipped my usual $10 but still chile ‍ they bring the food to you while you're sitting. And when we got the food..... wtf was that?! I wish I took a pic but the movie started and I didn't wanna be disruptive. Chile it was barely any BBQ pulled pork on the fries, dry af, just some lil green onions and pickled red onions. *sigh* the food was lackluster....... Probably wouldn't be eating here again. That was alot of money for them lil trays of fries smh. At least SMG gives you alot of food for the price. I'll be back to see another movie maybe but I'm not eating there again. 3/5.

How Black Excellence is done. We saw the Color Purple on opening night at a far from luxury theater and It did no justice to this explosive movie. So I decided to give it justice and drive further to the Movie Tavern of North Lake. I fell in love. The seats were PLUSH, with a full table for our food....which was brought to our seat..mind you... And there was no huge border around the screen...this explosive movie needed the whole screen... We simply loved it!

Terrible place to watch movies. It was so hot while watching movie. The staff here said nothing wrong with the ac. Front desk didn't even know what is going on. Super dirty restrooms. I am so disappointed of all staffs here.

It's been ages since I have been here, but have heard great things since they remodeled it. Buried in the back of a shopping center next to a Toys R Us that closed up shop years ago, this theater sits. It was the first "dine in" theater we ever attended, but now it offered reclining chairs and individual trays for your food and drinks. The staff could not have been nicer especially when I accidentally booked seats too close to the screen. They helped me update them. The food and drinks are a little pricy, but worth it as they bring the non-popcorn food to your seat for you once it is ready. The sound was a bit loud at first, but worth it because there was a baby whining off and on during the film we saw. There is plenty of parking too.

They do not allow bag, but do allow purses. However, your stuff is out on the counter and can be snatched. So, if you travel by public transit and have to leave carry important things, don't treat yourself to a movie here on your way. The seats are great and warmed! But they don't even allow water, or give you cups of water...as if you don't pay enough for the ticket. The screens are also not great from every angle...only NOT wrapped in the middle.

First time in a real movie theatre since 2019 They say #5 is larger screen (so no matinee or senior discount) . Nice actually Seats really comfortable/adjustable. Theatre clean. Staff nice. Food: only had soda, popcorn, funnel cake. All good. So many other theaters popcorn is under or over cooked. So much nicer than I remembered pre-covid. We will back

We ventured out this afternoon for a movie and decided to try out Movie Tavern Tucker. I had heard it was remodeled during the pandemic and that it had lounger chairs now and reviews seem to be improved vs those pre-pandemic. We have never been to a Movie Tavern theater before so we are comparing our visit to the "name-brand" theaters. I feel torn with the rating we chose, but here's the explanation. The theater was clean - everywhere ... In the theater, bathrooms (both men's and women's), Libby, and even around concessions (no sticky floors). The theater was uber comfortable (more on this in a sec) and the sound system of the huge theater (SuperScreen) was impressive. Now for the loungers - these were reclinable chairs like all the other "name-brand" theaters but these had an additional feature we haven't seen before (at least we have never noticed this feature before) ... heated seats; boy do they heat up! It was super nice because I always freeze in theaters. I had it set to the lowest setting and it nearly burned my lower back. Had to turn it on for a minute or 2 and then turn it off repeatedly, but it was nice to be warm and not freezing. If we stopped here for our rating it would have been stars, mostly for the cleanliness. What brought our final rating down was our experience of ordering food and drinks in the app to be delivered to our chair. Order during the previews and the delivery time was set for within 10mins which would have been right at the start of the movie or maybe 5mins in. An hour later we still had not received our order and hubby had to leave to find out what happened to our order. He missed part of the movie and said the concessions people didn't seem to realize they missed an order and didn't apologize (we just wanted a verbal sorry). No popcorn during my movie and my hubby missing some of the action was a big bummer. That's why we had to reduce the rating to 3 stars.

My first time going...and will be returning. It's a comfy place, with comfy food. Not overpriced like Cinebristo and the reclining chairs are superb

I visited Movie Tavern a couple times before the pandemic started and now three times in 2021. Apparently, we started going here after their renovations were complete - they have large, comfortable chairs that recline. Assigned seating - so you select your seat upon purchase. You can do this at the ticket office in person or online. They had a great offer for 4 pack of tickets at reduced price before end of November. But you couldn't buy your tickets online - had to be in person. Which stunk. I would have used it, but I am not waiting till right before the movie to purchase a ticket. I don't want to get stuck with bad seats. They do offer meal and alcoholic drink service on top of the typical snacks and popcorn you would find at most theatres. You order at the counter and servers will bring your food to you in the theatre. You take a numbered sign with you so that they can find you. We did get dinners both times before the pandemic. However, we did not like the food either time so I no longer purchase meals from there. I make sure to eat beforehand. Movie Tavern provides a great movie experience, but I recommend skipping the food.

Incredibly rude staff. Our food order took so long we had to go and ask for it and somehow that was our fault. Guy at the counter should be fired for the attitude.

We really enjoyed this theater! The food was delicious. The service was pretty good! Very clean. It is somewhat expensive but I think it's worth it for a nice little date or something like that!

Excellent, remodeled, and affordable. Very comfortable faux-leather recliner seating in a nice part of town. I remember going here as a kid, and this theater has only gotten better. Concessions were a bit expensive, but movie tickets were reasonably-priced.

So this place was not so bad the seats were extremely comfortable the service was good I think the food is a little over priced and they don't have any vegetarian or vegan options which would be nice otherwise the kids absolutely loved the movie and enjoyed the experience.

Me and my boyfriend always come here and have a good time. The one time i wanted to come watch a movie and have food at this theater they were "Closed" they couldn't even sell us an Icee and the hours of operation state that they are open until 10PM and we got there well before then. At 9PM I'm pregnant and i had NO food whatsoever so i'm in this theater crying and it was bad enough that we were late to see the movie because apparently they don't play the pre-show and trailers at this theater? But that's on me. Since they're closed i took it upon myself to doordash some food since nobody wanted to serve us anything to eat for a damn near 3 hour movie. Because again; i'm pregnant. If i'm hungry i get sick. We grabbed our food and THEN they decided they wanted to do their job and say "No outside food or drinks" LIKE IF YOU CARED ABOUT YOUR JOB YOU WOULD HAVE KEPT THE CONCESSION STAND OPEN UNTIL 9:30 - 10PM LIKE EVERY WEBSITE INCLUDING THIS ONE STATES. We couldn't even buy SNACKS from the concession let alone a meal?!! The lady told us she can "put our food in the fridge" ABSOLUTELY NOT?! I don't want microwaved french fries?! On top of this keeping the food I PAID FOR BEHIND THE COUNTER. And as this encounter is going on we were missing the movie some more. I don't recommend coming here at all. These people were rude upon walking through the door I don't think i will be coming back again. ALSO, they never answer the phone!! So even as i called to check in with them about my concerns about food and ask the questions i had NOBODY ANSWERED! Or returned a call in response to the voicemail i left!!

I don't know if the AC was broken or what. It had to have been 80 degrees or warmer. I was sweating in the theater, sticking to the seat. I almost couldn't enjoy the movie because I was so anxious to get out of the inferno. Definitely the most unpleasant theater experience I've ever had.

General manager was extremely rude and women's bathroom was "closed for cleaning" the entire time we were there. After a 2 1/2 hour movie that's the last thing you want to see.

Nice theatre. Overpriced food. No options for an entree without meat for this of us who don't eat meat, or just aren't in the mood for it. Had to settle for the French fries & salad dinner- which was a total of over $20. The fries 'basket' had- no lie- 12-14 fries. That's it. A lot of paper fluffed around them. So like- $1 a fry practically. Ridiculous. Basic salad. Had to remove some lettuce that was gross. Chose the option to pick up food (ordered online) but had to wait in the line at concession. Not sure why they ask to choose a time to pick up if they do t make it until you check in at concession. Would probably go again, as they have good movie deals. But I won't do a date night/dinner. Really not with the cost.

It's such a perfect location not too busy. The popcorn is fresh. The candy is a little over priced. But the staff are very friendly.

I noticed the butter machines are not out like they are at other theaters. When they ask if you want butter on the popcorn ( that we all know is excessive in price) they don't bother to tell you that it's an additional dollar. Who charges for butter that really isn't butter anyway!

Half of the little tables to hold the food are bent and leaning...totally useless. Plus, my daughter and I went to see a kids movie and waited over 20 min for the movie to begin (after 2 previews) staring at a blank screen. Complained multiple times...and still no movie. Had to get our money back...except not for the refreshments (which I would not have bought under any other circumstance). Such a miserable outing.

Visited Movie Tavern this past weekend with Rosalynn L. and watched Shazam! This location has been opened for some time now. Entering from Lavista Road, we drove through the run down plaza that used to have Toys"R"Us, Bally's Total Fitness and a bunch others. The movie theater is on the left side, past Toys"R"Us. TBH, driving back there seemed kind of shady cause the area was relatively vacant. Needless to say, you should not have any problems finding parking here. Service: Good -- the process of buying tickets and finding our theater went smoothly. The chairs here are really uncomfortable. You can slightly lean back in the chairs, but doing so hurt my back a lot. For 2.5 hours, I couldn't find a comfortable position and in the end, walked out with an aching back. Current Promotion as of 4/22/19: $5 Movie on Tuesdays + Free complimentary-size popcorn TIP: Sign up for their rewards program. You get a free movie ticket to use on your birthday month! Overall, for a very affordable price, you get the basic movie experience here. It's definitely not the best place to watch a movie, but if you wanna see a movie for cheap, this is an option.

I went t to see Creed 3. The theater was clean and the seats were comfortable. The food was pricey. One thing that caught me off guard was that there was a 1 dollar charge for butter on the popcorn. Why would you charge for butter on popcorn, when the popcorn is that expensive anyway? That kinda soured me on the whole theater.

I am so happy to find this place so close to my home One of the cleanest theaters I have been in in Atlanta Food was actually as good as any bar food Tuesday nights are $5 ! Highly recommend

The greatest thing about this place is the matinee pricing. And it's matinee pricing that lasts until something like 5:30pm. Movie Tavern Northlake has been around for as long as I can remember, as various incarnations of some kind of movie theater. This current incarnation is half restaurant, half theater. The food is, in many ways, bar food. This is neither bad nor good. It is what it is. And what it is is hamburgers, nachos, pizzas, and the like. None of these items will blow your socks off in any culinary way. There is no stellar gastronomic experience to be had here. That being said, if what you want to do is have some pizza while watching your favorite chick-flick, this is the place to go. If you want to trigger the misophonia of your fellow movie goers, I'll see you there. I swear, the guy behind us was chewing so loud, you could have used the noise in sonar experiments. But I digress. I really do like this place. It is comfortable. It is clean. The people there are polite and they work hard to provide a good experience. Now if I could just get a soda without having to take out a loan...

Ok I'm back from the movies. We saw jumanji 2 and its was better than the first one. But any way the parking was great. ( not too many car at night ). The food was great but high $$$$. And some pretty ladies working there TOO. And the leather seat are nice and you lay back too. The movie was nice and loud. So yes I will go back but next time I'll eat before I GO lol

I'm baffled by them charging for butter on the popcorn, not extra butter just butter! They also don't tell you. They don't even have a button for it because my receipt said buffalo sauce which is why I asked what they charge was for. They only have the blue icee and don't tell you either, just charged extra and fixed it. I requested 2 coke ones and then he told me its only blue. Well now I need a refund. I ordered nachos. They give u a number and SUPPOSED to bring it to your seat, but after 30 minutes I had to go ask about my order, missing the beginning of the movie. The ticket prices are cheaper than most theaters BUT when they nickel and dime you for everything you'll break even elsewhere. I'd rather stick to AMC. The concession clerk wasn't friendly either but the ticket taker was. I won't be back, just off the level of pissed I am about the butter lol

Bought tickets for Black Panther for opening weekend. Waited in line for a hour to find out that a lady saved 25 seats in the back two rows. The theater was small so anything past the last two rows were too close. The whole theater complained to the manger and nothing was done. She paid the same amount of money as everyone else. My party had to split up around the empty seats that were "reserved" The worst part was that the manager went to his office to hid.

I'm really enjoying the new improvements! I've always gone to Movie Tavern as a last resort if NCG was sold out as the seating was so uncomfortable and it just felt old. Now that they've made several changes I will going here more often since it is closer to me. You will still save money on tickets going to NCG but not a ridiculous price here. I love the new comfortable electric reclining seats. Oh and you get to choose your seats which is nice similar to studio movie grill. I love the $5 Tuesdays with free popcorn, that's a great option to have. They seem to have better food options as well which I look forward to trying. Love the all day breakfast options, burgers, pizza, beer and drinks. I even saw a Mexican Kitchen spot but I could not piece together if that was a separate restaurant to order from or not. Glad they made the necessary improvements, I'll be coming more regular now!

I took my friend out for her birthday along with my daughter out for lunch and a movie, it was my friend's birthday and I thought it would be nice to have lunch all in one place. Avril the manager and Sherry the cashier were very rude to us. Sherry didn't put my complete order in so my daughter was left out but charged for the meal anyway . When I noticed that her meal wasn't coming I asked Sherry what had happened, she wasn't sure. It was a big mix up, these things will happen sometimes however it's the way you handle it. Sherry was very nunchalant, Avril did take the meal off my bill because it was too late to have it now because the movie was almost over. I feel like Sherry and Avril should have shown better customer service especially since I told her I was treating my birthday friend who had never been to this theater before. I don't mind coming here again because this was out of the norm and I usually have great experiences when I come here. Just would have been nice if we all could have eaten together for my friends birthday lunch and movie. Oh well at least the movie was good.

The management suuuuucks. Literally so rude. This location is minutes from my house but I would rather drive to the opposite side of town than to give business to people who are rude, late, condescending, and offer no courtesy.

We come here often because it's in our neighborhood. The seat are comfy but the popcorn was not good today. Although, the manager indicated it was busted popped, it was not even warm. She offered to give me a refund. I didn't ask for a refund. I wanted some warm popcorn and was willing to wait. She didn't know when more popcorn would be popped. Not even in 15 minutes. She gave me a non-requested refund.

I never went before it was taken over by a new company but I heard so many bad things. But I'm glad I went to have a new experience ! The chairs recline all the way back now ! The Hollywood Heat Burger was sooo tasty . It was hot when brought out . I had some wine which was nice and they offer a cup for it (it comes in a can) . The sound is definitely loud enough to make you feel like you're there but I have sensitive ears so it was probably normal theatre volume lol . I only took away one star because my original seat didn't recline . Not sure if they are battery operated or plugged in . I just moved over a seat (luckily no one reserved that seat) . We went on tuesday which only cost $5 so that's a great deal . Also when you sign up for the rewards you get a free popcorn and refills are only a dollar . Can't wait to go back !

Probably one of the most cheapest movie theaters I've ever seen. If you want salt you'lol have to ask and they'll you a tiny little cup of salt;same thing for butter. Slow service for for. Customer service is below average Seats are never clean Icee machine is never working This place is literally the McDonalds of Movie theaters.

They tried to charge me $30 for chicken wings and they're extremely slow. But I do like their chipotle sliders and fries. So I guess just be mindful of what you order.

Theater looks great post renovations. The food which was A-1 sucks to the highest level of garbage. We use to order shrimp nachos, beer in a bottle, cheese nachos and some mixed drinks for 3 ppl. Popcorn only for us now. Sooooooo disappointed

Well I went to this theater That's hidden it was a 10:50 show. I preordered the tickets that took her forever to figure it out. I got there early to get it there on time. I never will order food from there awful popcorn wasn't fresh. The seats weren't that great but they have beer. To look at a movie go for the price Nachos didn't have no cheese omg hated it

First time I went was 05/15/2021 around 7:00. It wasn't packed, but there were a few cars and a little bit of a line for food & snacks. I got my ticket there (military discount applied) and ordered my food online. My food was supposed to be delivered to my seat at 7:20. During my movie, they called me (which of course, I missed the calls because my phone was on silent, because ya know... I'm in a whole theater, trying not to disturb other people). Ten minutes passed before I realized. I had to get out of my seat to go ask about my food. It wasn't even ready. The lady at the counter had an attitude, like I was inconveniencing her. When they finally brought my food to me, my drink was missing and my order wasn't correct. I will say the guy who brought my food to me was really nice and apologetic about all of my issues, so that was nice. The food was good. Lastly, I don't think they clean & sanitize the seats like they say they do. I definitely think I saw some dried up soda on one of the trays when I walked out. Second visit was on 0521/2021 around 3:00. This time was a MUCH better experience. But from the looks of the parking lot, it looked like me and my kids were the only people there besides the staff. The staff was nice & polite. No military discount this time (I guess it depends on the movie or time of day, the woman at the counter didn't seem to know why it didn't work this time). Food got to me pretty fast & tasted good, I just wish it didn't cost so much. But hey, it's the movies, what did I expect, right? We even got a free refill (technically we weren't supposed to get one). Overall, personally, I like how empty it is, because I don't like lots of people (even before COVID). The location is pretty ducked off too, so maybe that's why. The seats are comfortable and recline, so that's also a plus. If you get cold easily, you should probably bring a light blanket. And for the love of everything, why on earth don't yall bring at least ONE napkin when yall serve food???
