"Beloved cocktail den Moving Sidewalk could be departing Houston’s bar scene — or at the very least, looking for a brand new space. A LoopNet listing for the bar’s home at 306 Main Street in Downtown indicates that it is available for leasing as soon as September 1st. The listing touts Moving Sidewalk’s “exquisite interior buildout” and historic building, noting that it is in a neighborhood with a “vibrant bar scene” and “lots of pedestrian traffic.”" - Amy McCarthy

This is a wonderful bar on one of the busiest streets in Downtown Houston. This new bar replaced the old bar previously in its place. It is quite dark in the bar but I enjoy the ambiance. The bartenders could not be any nicer and give great recommendations. I had the "What We Do Is Secret" and "The Reed Horse" cocktails. Both were equally delicious and recommended by our bartender. He also told us great stories about how he came up with the cocktails. Were they true stories? I will never really know but I enjoyed the stories anyways. If you are looking for knowledgeable bartenders and a great place to sit down, you will enjoy this place. I hope they continue to expand their drink menu. I will definitely come back!

The moving sidewalk is an excellent bar. With a chill atmosphere and fantastic cocktails, it's hard to go wrong! The bartenders are top notch and really know how to make some phenomenal drinks. Seating is somewhat limited so be prepared to stand, it's totally worth it though!

Absolutely wonderful bar. The bartenders and the proprietors are Houston-bred and the atmosphere is perfect for amazing drinks and good conversations. No pretense, no distractions, just a great place to take a date after catching a concert or a show.

Great, unique drinks! Ignore the stereotype and order the yoga pants - delicious! Super crowded so avoid weekends unless you're down to wait and stand. Still worth a try and they have decent happy hour specials.

Moving Sidewalk is our go to mixology place downtown. The bartenders are exceptional, they truly know what they are doing. Don't go here for a whisky and coke, order off the menu and be prepared to have your mind blown.

Moving Sidewalk makes some of my favorite cocktails in Houston. Their themed menus are super fun, drinks are interesting and tasty, the vibe is usually quiet and chill (at least during the week), and bartenders are friendly and always willing to share their knowledge about obscure liquers. Note that they do not serve any food here, but there are other options for food along Main.

I love this bar. However, last night the doorman wouldn't let my friend in. She's petite, well behaved, was not drunk, and they were not full. He was just an ass. He wouldn't even explain why she couldn't come in, just "because I said so". I'm boycotting until that guy is gone from there.

Excellent selection of cocktails all named after Astroworld rides. They also have good taste in music. While I was there I mostly heard 90s hip hop and grunge.
