We came to Nashville to see the Dolly Broadway Musical and chose this hotel for it's proximity to the theater. It is an easy 15 minute walk from the Moxy to the Fisher Center. As other reviews mention, the staff is lovely, friendly and helpful. Yes, you check at the bar, but everyone in your party gets a free drink. Yes, the parking garage is a tight fit and costs $30/day. It is located in the alley behind the building. Yes, the walls seem to be paper thin. I can hear music coming from somewhere, things being dropped on the floor, and doors to other rooms opening and closing. The rooms are very minimalist, 2 beds, a chair, and floating shelves for nightstands. It is not a place to stay for your family vacation in Nashville, but it served our purpose nicely. It is also walking distance to Vanderbilt Hospital and Children's Hospital, if you need a place to stay near the hospital.

Moxy offers such a great vibe. First of all, the hotel smells DEVINE. The check-in was at the bar, which was a fun surprise. Upon arrival you could tell the staff was happy to be there and at service for their guest. Tam greeted us at check-in, and was absolutely exceptional. She made us feel welcome and “at home.” The rooms are clean and accessible. Very happy to stay here. Will gladly stay again!

The Moxy brand is definitely not one of my favorite Marriott brands. I try to avoid them. I need a refrigerator for medication in my room and you never know if they’re gonna have one. I got stuck here because of work and while the people who work here are amazing, they can’t make up for the fact that you can’t turn your air conditioning below 68. The lowest temperature is 68 so needless to say I have not slept for four nights. The parking is a nightmare, they charge you $30 a day and half the time you can’t get in or out of the parking lot because it’s blocked due to construction. With no solution or direction of how to get in or out. The location is actually nice. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance. But the only reason I stay in a hotel for work is to sleep and I couldn’t do it here.

I wanted to take the time to write this to offset other reviews that people likely left because they don’t know the model behind a Moxy hotel…my husband and I just stayed here for 2 nights and it was great! You’re greeted with two free drink tokens, and the lobby has great space to meet up with family and friends- as we were all in town for a graduation. I had no concerns with noise, hot water etc. as other reviews mentioned. (The mixer valve on our shower was backwards…so the hot water came on before the cold water…maybe people didn’t play around with the handle…) the room is clean, basic and beds are comfortable. There’s pump hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. (No bar soap which I was surprised by). A small flip down desk and one suitcase stand, no fridge, microwave, closet or safe; however the desk mentioned they have safety deposit boxes for you. Free coffee in the morning was a bit weak, and we didn’t eat on site. Building was secure- you needed your room key to access any floors. One thing is to make sure you push your door closed to hear it click. I loved the stash closet…a community locker with toothbrush/paste samples, sewing kit, razor and shave cream, extra towels and a communal ironing board and iron…you could grab anything you needed on the way to your room. My SIL said there was a handheld steamer under the sink, but I didn’t look for it. Large shower, with rainfall shower head and hand held attachment. Barn door on the bathroom which lacked a little privacy in case you’re staying with someone you’re not as close with…also there’s a frosted glass window that looks from the shower into the sleep area. Overall a great experience and I’ll be using moxy in the future.

Google
While this is a five star review because the property would be great for solo or couples traveling…. Here are my cons if you are traveling with a friend or your kid: Bathrooms: in the two queen the bathroom has a non-locking sliding door that well, slides open on it’s own. There is a LARGE glass window IN the shower. When the light is on, your bits are on full display. (We hung a poster board with painters tape to block it after a quick trip to the store) Walls: They are PAPER THIN. I could hear the couple next door talking. They were just having a regular conversation. Not being loud or annoying, just talking. We did not turn our TV on before 10am or after 10pm for fear of it disturbing our neighbors. The neighborhood is noisy on a Friday/Saturday night so keep that in mind. Things will be open until wee hours. Parking: The garage is a tight squeeze nightmare. You must have physical keys, not your mobile, to get in and out of the garage. Staff: The staff is fantastic, but expected to manage both the bar and check in and the mini mart all at the same time. These poor ladies are overworked and running around like a pinball in a machine. Thankfully they are just lovely humans!

This is my favorite Moxy experience so far. These hotels are designed to be more compact, city night-life vibes, and our double queen room met all expectations. We had space, the hooks on the wall actually allowed us to utilize wall space. They provided a mini fridge upon request for my mother's dietary concerns. They have a room in the hall that offers things like extra linens and bathroom products. They have a microwave downstairs and lobby games. The area was pretty great! Cheap lyft to downtown Nashville, but also plenty going on in the blocks around the hotel, such as two great places for breakfast and a delicious ice cream joint. Given the price and how everything was inflated that week, and the area, I'd recommend this as an option. We could hear noisy neighbors, and there wasn't a fan to help regulate room temp, but that seems par for the course on most hotels anymore. Also, I the lobby smell was pretty intense and I never got used to it. But, this was a good stay overall.

Incredible Stay at Moxy Vanderbilt – Best Staff in Nashville!||From the moment we walked into Moxy Vanderbilt, we were greeted with energy, warmth, and personality! The vibe of the hotel is super fun and modern, but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the amazing team – especially Marcell, Rinishka, and Tyreik. These three went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering genuinely helpful insight into the best things to see, eat, and do in Vanderbilt.||Whether we needed local food recommendations or the insider local tips this crew was on it. Their enthusiasm for the area is infectious, and it made our visit feel way more personal and immersive.||The hotel itself is stylish, and perfectly located for exploring Vanderbilt and the surrounding area. But it’s the team that truly elevates this spot from a great hotel to an exceptional experience. Huge thanks to Marcell, Rinishka, and Tyreik – you guys are rockstars. Can’t wait to come back

Google
Great way to check in to your room. You check in at the bar and they give you a token for a free drink by drink I mean alcohol or liquor. Phenomenal service from the staff, engineering team and management. To top it all off COMFIEST beds on the planet. Can’t wait to come back.

Yelp
My first time staying in a Moxy, and I must say, what a fun place to stay!! I think this might well be where all the cool kids hang out. Upon checking in, they give you two poker chips which can be exchanged for a fine libation at the lobby bar. The lobby has a really funky fun vibe with lots of seating, a nice bar area which stays open late, pool table, multiple games and darts. The interior designer has a great sense of humor that is displayed throughout the hotel.

Yelp
Not a five-star luxury hotel, but for the price you can't beat it. Excellent location, close to everything midtown has to offer. Hip lobby, with a friendly staff at check-in and again in the morning when I went down for coffee. Was given a couple poker chips upon arrival that I exchanged for glasses of wine, which we enjoyed in our smallish, minimalist room. It was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and very functional bath and shower.

Yelp
This hotel is centrally located by a lot of restaurants and clothing boutiques. The layout of the suite with 2 queen beds is great! Instead of both beds facing the same direction, these go toe to toe so for those looking for a way to have a BFF getaway, this room is perfect b/c you can stay up all night chatting while facing each other. The lobby has a bar in the middle and tons of seating and lounges as well as games to play. Giant Jenga, foosball tables, pool table, shuffleboard. They also have lockers to store your stuff while you wait for your room to be ready. What REALLY makes this hotel though is the front desk staff. OMG! When I told them we were coming to town for a special occasion, they went beyond my expectation. Plus they are some of the coolest people I have met.

Yelp
I just want to give a heartfelt thank you to the team at the Vanderbilt Moxy in Nashville. My husband and I had an issue at our Airbnb and we had to scramble to find a place to stay at 1 am last night. I chose this place on a whim and I'm so glad I did. The 3 individuals last night at the front desk- wish I got their names- a man and 2 women. They helped us so kindly and turned a nightmare situation into a relief. I think that they showed what "hospitality" truly means. Initially a woman answered the phone before I came and she ensured me she would help when I got there, and she did. The room was impeccable and I've never checked in so quickly. We were quite sleep deprived but thanks to this team we were able to get to bed so quickly. Next time I'm in Nashville I'm choosing this place from the get go and I'll be sure to tell all my bachelorette friends this is the way to go.

Yelp
1st off the Service Staff mostly were all friendly and helpful. Only 1 time, we requested toilet paper and it was never delivered to our room. Enjoyed the Check In area and beverage area. The bartender was very friendly and had a great smile. Things we didn't enjoy: *Not having a table or couch in our hotel room. *Our dog travels with us and we need to keep our room cool. She is a winter breed. The temperature is set in the room to 68. Our dog got sick all over the floor. We travel with cleaning supplies. Thankfully the hotel staff came with a fan. Our puppy layed in her bed in front of it. The Appearance: Very Clean and tidy walkways/hallways and shared spaces and kept our rooms tidy. Great service team, their skills are outstanding. Decor: To be honest some of the decor was creepy and weird. Not normal people's idea of signage. I blame the corporate design team. Limited grass areas for our dog but enjoyed near by restaurants. Biggest Disappointment: Our room didn't have a table or closet space, mini fridge for drinks or microwave.

Yelp
Rooms remind me of a shipping container/panic room. Dark drab and very not welcoming. Not a good experience. Noisy AC made it difficult to sleep.

Yelp
Fun hotel that is close to all that 12 South and the Vanderbilt area have to offer. I stayed here on a recent visit and was pleasantly surprised by how close it is to so many great restaurants and bars, as well as being super close to Vanderbilt and Belmont University. Still, it's actual location is on a pretty quiet street. From the decorations and having the check-in desk set up at the bar, it seems like it's geared toward partying, but it was still quiet during my stay. I liked that you get a chip when you check in for a free drink at the bar. I also liked the smart TVs in the rooms, so you can watch Netflix in the evening, if you are not out on the town. My only slight complaints are that the beds were a little stiff for my taste and the sliding door to the bathroom had a hard time staying shut.

Yelp
What an incredible time. The moxy is a basic hotel yes it's no 5 star resort. Definitely great experience nonetheless. Room clean- the space was what I needed . Safe Place to lay my head. Let's talk about the best part of my stay. The Bar!! Such a great team that works there. One person I have to shout out Tamara outstanding customer service. She made sure to go above and beyond and delight each guest. Juggling it all. I have never seen something like this. Front desk agent actually being the bartender. Checking people in while pouring a drink was a wild. She did it with such grace even when the bar was full. Tamara your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!

Yelp
I have a lot of thoughts about this hotel. When you arrive, you check in at the bar which I thought was cool. The lobby was really fun, had a lot of games, the bar and live music at night on the weekend. They said the parking onsite in their garage was $30/day. We were able to find street parking around the corner for free and where fine parking there all weekend. They also gave us 4 drink tokens to use at their bar. The chip can be used as either for a beer or their signature cocktail. We got to the elevator which you need the key card to go up in and the key card wouldn't work. They did give us an extra drink chip for the inconvenience. The elevator must have been one of the slowest elevators I've ever been in. Then when you get on the floor it's these dark blue hallway with blinding lights. It reminded me of the shining. The room itself reminded me of a hostel. The floor when we arrived was sticky, reminded me of a frat basement. The bathroom door was see through, like it was blurred a little but you could see everything. The shower handle also fell off and it was difficult to get a good water temperature. The toilet seat was also too small for the toilet so it had a weird gap. While it was it a good area, right near Vanderbilt and a 10 minute ($7 Uber) downtown it was just a little bit odd.

Yelp
Heard great things about the Moxy in Louisville so thought I'd stay at the Moxy in Nashville. Just like other Moxy's, you get a free drink upon arrival, which I loved. Atmosphere there is lovely, there's a lot of things to do in the lobby like foosball, darts, listen to vinyls, or grab a drink as well as places to work.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful!!! Very modern and the amenities are top notch. The rooms are spacious. There is a full bar downstairs and you are given a token for a free drink. This particular location had a shuffle board game and darts downstairs as well. Very close to shops and food. A great place to stay if visiting the hospital. Sadly I have to give it 3 stars for the pricing. We booked this hotel for 3 nights. We booked the room for $179 online before taxes of course. When we received our bull we charged nearly $1200!!!! Each night was a different price. NEVER in all of my travels has this ever happened. We were charged $30 per night for parking which when booking thru my Booking.com account should have been included in the price. When speaking to the front desk who ha fled all of our charges, we were told there is nothing they could or would do about it. Even when presenting them with our reservation. For that alone we will never recommend nor stay in a Moxy again. Heartbreaking bcuz this was an amazing hotel and stay.

Yelp
Fun place with a great bar! I wish I had more time to spend here because the hang out down stairs was so good. I got the Moxie cocktail (which was unique and a delight... or maybe it's unique because I don't normally get fruity drinks) with their free drink chip. I was really happy with that and found the service to be enjoyable. The rooms were fun, a mix minimalism with utilitarianism, with a splash of moxy (see what I did there). The one downside is parking. It was $30 to park over night, which may be good for the area (I don't know) but it felt excessive. That's on par with some (not all) upscale hotels in the middle of DC. The free drink made up for this, but still, come on. It's not even like there's street parking. At least there wasn't when we were there.

Yelp
A different kind of hotel experience, delightful actually. Check in at the bar and enjoy a free Moxy cocktail or draft brew. Staff and hotel employ safe COVID practices. Spacious eating area so you don't feel crowded. Plenty of good eating places nearby like the Pancake Pantry, The Grilled Cheeserie, and Biscuit Love. Rooms are functional, hooks on the wall instead of a closet and dresser. Could use two chairs in the room. For some reason the hotel seems to be designed for only one person to sit at a time in the room. Cool push button phone in the room. Look closely at the phone and you'll find a button that says "Push here for bedtime stories". You get a menu choice of 3 stories, all sounding a bit naughty, but not by very much. The shower is quite interesting, control is on one wall, water fall out the other!

Yelp
We are so in love with this hotel! Visiting from FL, for fun & scouting the area for a future move - we were pleasantly surprised with this location of Moxy!! Centrally located in downtown Hillsboro, it's a short (less than 5 minute) walk to multiple restaurants, shops, liquor store, etc. Although the rooms are a bit small, they've really made the most of the space! The bathroom is super adorable - I already want to renovate my home guest bath to match . Even my fiancé (who couldn't care less about aesthetics) said this hotel was super cool! The (literal) only complaint I have is that there are no mini fridges in the rooms for drinks, snacks, medications, etc. But, definitely not a deal breaker for me! We will absolutely be back and I will recommend this hidden gem to everyone visiting the area!
google avatar

Yelp
I think this hotel was too focused on trying to be trendy and not on customer service or quality stays for guests. For the price, it is in no way worth it to stay at this hotel. There is no complimentary breakfast, no refrigerator in your room, there is no ironing board in your room, there is no closet in your room, and if you want extra towels or blankets you have to go to a communal closet on the floor and get it yourself. We were staying here for a wedding and in two of the rooms the TVs didn't work and 2 of the guests were emailed at 11:45am day of stating if they didn't confirm their stay by Noon (in 15 minutes) their reservation would be nullified. Also in one of the rooms the bathroom ceiling was leaking water and water was spraying out of the pipe connecting the shower head. Finally, the lobby is all inclusive game room, bar, checkin; which is a cool idea, except the people working the checkin and the bar are the same people and I never saw more than 2 working at a time, so there was always a wait for drinks or to checkin, it was terrible.

Yelp
Our stay at the moxy was one bummer after another. For $200+ a night, you're better off staying literally anywhere else. TLDR: nothing worked and the basics were lacking. The pros: - free drink upon check in - Location - Cute lobby - Rinishka at the front desk was amazing and so kind - accommodated my service animal with no problem The cons: - You can't have the bathroom lights on unless all the main lights are on. - The sheets did not fit the bed and kept popping off. We essentially slept on a bare mattress for 2 nights - The room phone doesn't work - Bed was uncomfortable - No closet in the room (we were here for a wedding and needed to hang our stuff up making this a huge issue) - Bathroom has a window in the shower that you can see through and a sliding barn door that won't stay closed so be prepared for some real bonding with whoever you're sharing the room with - The TV in our room did not work - The AC in our room did not work - Even with a do not disturb sign, someone came into our room and stood in the doorway for a full two minutes just staring at us. (possibly to clean but unsure as we never had our room cleaned the entire time we were there) - The hotel "restaurant" is basically a microwave with overpriced bar snacks (think nachos in a bag). We paid $14 for a single piece of naan heated in a microwave and a Dixie cup worth of hummus. - There is no breakfast available - There is no fridge in the room - Though there is room service advertised, there is no way to order it as the phone does not work. Even if there was a way to order it, the issue of there being no real food remains - on the third floor, music could be heard being blasted in the lobby until at least 1am. When asked if the music could be adjusted we were told no This hotel truly appears to be held up by scotch tape and looks like it was thrown together with little to no understanding of the basics. Seems like vibe was a bigger concern than anything else. Our stay was so poor we ended up leaving early and booking elsewhere.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. Just know things are scaled back which is fine with me. But if you are one who wants high service(people bringing you ice, room service, an upscale restaurant) - this is not the place. You kind of have to serve yourself. I'm ok with that though. I would stay again.
google avatar

Angie S.

Yelp
I frequently stay at Moxy's and have always had a great experience. The front desk/bartenders/crew were literally the most unfriendly and unhelpful staff I have ever encountered. Would NEVER stay at this one again and am questioning whether I will frequent other Moxy's - super disappointed.

Yelp
My daughter and I travelled to NASH for some college touring. We stayed here due to its walkability to two colleges, retail shops and dining. It's a wonderful location! Plus, at less then $100 a night it was a great deal. In Moxy style we were greeted enthusiastically by the staff that showered us with so much warmth. And of course, offering a moxytail to kick off our stay. My teenager commented she felt like we were at a club. :). How does she know? She's 17! But, that's another story. Regardless, she's right! Moxy is its own experience and targets 20-30 year olds who are hip. Or, wanna be hip. If you are traveling in a group I recommend this place and you can take advantage of the common areas in the lobby. Party! Note- you're a short Uber ride to Broadway street which is a bonus. Flip side: I was so cold in our room. I called the front desk who offered to bring me a heater and someone to check the thermostat. No one ever came. I grabbed an extra blanket from the "stash room," that helped a bit. I felt like I was camping in a tent as it was frigid. :(. This isn't a place to stay for a romantic weekend in my opinion. It's also not kid appropriate in my opinion - that's not their target audience FYI. But if you want to experience another Marriott brand - check it out. Go for your girls weekend! (Don't bring your wardrobe, limited to no closet space).

Yelp
Not a hotel if you're over 35. Best way to describe it is a "hipster" vibe. You check in at the bar. The person who checks you in is also the bartender. You do get two free drink tokens. Although, went I used mine to get a bourbon with a "splash" of water, she filled my glass to the top with water. The lobby is filled with games. The hallways and doors are painted a dark blue. The rooms are quirky. No dressers. Hooks across the wall to hang your clothes. No mini fridge. Beds on platforms. TV kept freezing and coming back on. There are some great restaurants in the area. Definitely a hotel for a younger crowd

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights in January 2020 in a king guest room. The property seems very new. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the location seems great. We would stay here again. This was our first time visiting Nashville so it was nice to have so many restaurants and cute shops literally on our door step. Pancake Pantry and Biscuit Love are right next door! Breakfast solved! The hotel also has coffee, espresso drinks, and donuts in the morning if you don't want to venture outside. I docked a star because of the following reasons: -We are Marriott Platinum Elite members. As such, we get an automatic room upgrade. The moxy never thanked us for our status, nor offered us a room upgrade. We stay close to 70 nights per year in different Marriott brand hotels. The service just didn't match that of other Marriott hotels. -The checkin process could use some work. We had a mixup with Marriott not charging our card and then having to pay with another credit card when we arrived. Something that should have been seamless, ended up taking 15 minutes. -The pillows are like sleeping on rocks. I understand that this is a new property, so give it time and they will get more comfortable. Just something to note. -The AC in the room was temperamental. We couldn't get it to work properly during our stay.

Yelp
Super cute and fun hotel! Especially love the bar downstairs. Tamara made me the most delicious and fresh mocktail (I'm sure the cocktails are amazing too!)

Yelp
Nice modern hotel with minimalist open concept rooms. Great location to food and Vanderbilt. They have a "stash closet" on each floor with extra towels etc for you to help yourself to. Only complaint is it took 3 times calling down to the front desk to get anyone to answer.
google avatar

Amy F.

Yelp
Friendly staff welcomed us with a free drink. This started a wonderful stay with clean rooms, fun games in the lobby (longboard, pool, and darts). Everything is walkable including a liquor store right across the street. We will stay here again!

Yelp
This was our third Moxy location that we've stayed at. Great friendly staff as always. Will continue to stay at Moxy hotels whenever we travel.
google avatar

Joselyn H.

Yelp
Fun, new, relaxed hotel with more of a hostel feel (only much cleaner). The only drawback for me (maybe I'm old) is that there are no drawers or closets in the rooms. So, either be prepared to hang your underwear on the pegs on the wall (ick) or keep them in your luggage. With no closet, your luggage is out and about. Totally fine unless you want to keep puppies or kiddos out of your stuff.

Kristal Y.

Yelp
Great location, super close to downtown but not in the overwhelming Broadway scene. Super friendly staff and free drinks upon arrival! The water pressure was amazing, especially compared to other hotels. The only issue was not being able to change the room temperature, not sure if it was broken or set to a specific temp. Besides that, my fiancé and I had a great visit! Definitely plan to make the Moxy our stay for Nashville trips.
google avatar

Jason H.

Yelp
I reserved a room at this location but my flight got cancelled so I didn't arrive until the next day. When I went to check in they said they gave away my reservation because I didn't call to let them know. They proceeded to charge me for the 3 nights anyway. They have my email and cell phone but didn't call or notify me at all before giving my room away. I put in a request for a refund and they cancelled that too. I paid $435 for someone else to stay in Nashville at the Moxy.

Yelp
Fun, funky little hotel with upscale minimalist rooms; but the friendly staff are the main reason I will be back. I travel nearly half the year and therefore spend about 125 days a year in hotels. That said, I don't think I have ever encountered anyone as helpful and friendly as Kadian at the front desk. She was engaging, kind and extremely helpful- and she even remembered my name the next morning. As a former bar manager I can safely say any service-oriented company would be crazy not to snatch her up. Thanks, Moxy Vanderbilt, for a great experience!

Yelp
Such a charming, and clean hotel in the medical district. Convenient to many restaurants.

Yelp
Card machine didnt work had to walk 3 blocks to get cash at an atm to pay my tab.

Yelp
This hotel has (probably in The name of being green) impotent thermostats. It is so HOT. The thermostat ready 68 but no way is that true. More like 72-74. There's no way to drop it lower. So frustrated. And no fan either. Guess I won't be staying here again unless it's winter.
google avatar

Kathleen C.

Yelp
NO. NO, NO. Stay far away unless your adult children make you stay here. No front desk, it's a bar. Bartender doesn't give 2 &$its you're a guest, he is busy serving drinks and getting tips. Don't blame him, pay is probably better. Elevator was the stickiest elevator we have ever been in ever!!!!!!!! Had to set all the bags I. For the mobile check in. Dead bolt broken. If your under 40 go for it. Over 40, stay away!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at the moxy! We felt comfortable and safe. Anissa truly made our stay and made us feel so welcome. I would def stay here again in the future and would recommend to others as well! Thanks Moxy and Anissa!!

Aaron D.

Yelp
This hotel has extreme potential! The vibe is very welcoming and all of the employees were very helpful. We have stayed here twice because it is pet friendly hotel and we're traveling with our pup. The front desk workers welcomed us with dog treats! On the first visit they had no internet due to the Nashville explosion. They handled it very well and did a fantastic job. The three star review is because of the rooms. Specifically the air conditioning. The air did not work on either of our stays which made spending the night and any time in the rooms pretty unbearable. In addition there were not the normal toiletries supplied in the rooms. They do provide these but from a community time room where you grab what you need. If the AC were fixed this would be a highly recommended hotel. The staff was very pleasant and this was a great find.

We loved our stay at the Moxy! The location was great - lots of shops and cafes nearby and a 5 min drive to Broadway. The rooms are a great size compared to other Moxys I've stayed at and the stash closet was a nice touch. We also enjoyed the games in the lobby and the bar being open extended hours.

Yelp
This hotel looks nice BUT it was so hot we couldn't sleep even with two large fans going and no blankets on the bed! The bathroom has a large window into the bedroom area and a door with a large glass panel. You can easily see through this glass so they brought up a cover they made and taped over the window. Of course the cover fell off while someone was in the shower! The rooms also don't have refrigerators, microwaves, closets, irons, a desk or breakfast (You can borrow an iron from the "stash" closet down the hall) and if you want ice you have to go to the bar/check in area and wait until they get to you. It took us about 30 minutes to purchase a bottle of water. When we told them our room was sweltering they said "idk what's wrong with the ac, it's been like that for a few days" and that's it!!! No apology, refund, nothing! (It was over 90* outside for the record) They didn't offer me anything for the massive inconvenience of the ac not working so I paid $170 for one miserable night stay. Needless to say I'll never go back!

Yelp
Our stay here was great. The lobby, hallways, parking deck, rooms were immaculate. Social distancing was followed by by the staff, and there was great signage reminders for social distancing and mask wearing. It has great proximity to downtown, midtown, Vanderbilt and Belmont. Definitely will be our go to hotel next time we are in Nashville.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for one night. We found this hotel as it is one of the few hotels in Nashville with balcony options. We were greeted pretty promptly when we arrived. The lobby was vibrant, clean, and welcoming. We enjoyed getting the drink tokens to be able to redeem a drink at the bar. When we arrived to the room, we noticed that there was a wasp's nest on the ceiling of the balcony. We called the "crew" (front desk), and they ended up moving us to another room. We were originally on the top floor with a secluded balcony, but we were moved three floors down with a less secluded balcony (no upgrade in rooms). The view could have been better (overlooking postal office parking lot). The hotel room felt very modern and minimalist. The room was clean, and the shower was pretty large. Our room was missing a patio chair. It seems as though the balconies only include one chair and a table which felt odd. The Stash room of toiletries was nice. My husband's lifted truck wouldn't fit in the parking garage so we had to park on the street and keep our eye on it throughout the night every few hours. Staff didn't have a solution of where to park. We inquired about the bedtime stories that was posted on the wall in the room, but the number didn't work. When we asked the "crew" downstairs, they said it has never worked. We do recommend the Moxy specialty cocktail! It was a hit. Overall, our experience was 3 Stars..could have been better/could have been worse. Will likely go here for drinks but stay at a different hotel next time.

Yelp
Best hotel we have stayed at on our road trip!! We had the best experience from the moment we checked in until check out. The check in counter is also the bar, which is awesome!! After going out to tailgate brewery for pizza and beer, we came back and had drinks downstairs here and the staff was SO friendly. There are really nice games downstairs including pool, shuffleboard, darts, and giant jenga. The whole place is super modern and decorated nicely. Our room was perfect. Honestly the only downside I can think of is that we had to drive to get to Music Row and Centennial Park so it's not necessarily in the middle of everything, but it's seriously the best hotel for the price! Definitely going to stay here again next time I come back to Nashville.

Yelp
This is a nice, trendy and a bit quirky hotel. It is clean and beds are comfortable, and the location with so many eateries within steps can't be beat. However, these are things you should be aware of: 1. If you plan to share a room, it should be with someone with whom you are very comfortable, as the bathrooms don't offer the amount of privacy I would prefer ( you can hear everything going on in there. ) 2. The rooms are minimally furnished, and there are very few surfaces to put your stuff down on. We definitely could have used another table or countertop. 3. The rooms aren't designed for hanging out in; that's what the very fun lobby is for. Alas - the lobby and hallways are FREEZING! When it's 90 degrees outside, it's not fun stepping into 60°. Why oh why I wonder do they do this? I could not hang in the lobby at these temps. 4. I guess they really wanted us in the lobby, as after 3 requests, our TV was never fixed and didn't work. ... I did like the cool bedspreads and lots of comfy pillows tho. And the bathroom fixtures were high quality. PS - CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY! Ours included parking fees for the two rooms we booked for each night we stayed - although we didn't drive there and never parked.

Yelp
This hotel was super cute and our rooms were clean when we got there. The downside to this hotel is all the not stated fees and the parking cost, $30 a night, which also has fees. The stash closet was a nice addition to the hotel as well. There's quite a bit of nice restaurants around too. Only complaint about the actual room was the thermostat.

Yelp
Staff rude and unfriendly. When I first stepped in the lobby, it was dark and gloomy looking, with some sour faced employees milling about the place. The lady behind the counter was just as rude as she could be, eyeing me as if she would rather I vanish into a hole in the earth instead of stay there. The rudeness just accelerated from there. Really, corporate needs to go down there and clean house. I imagine that place is not a real money maker for them with the staff being the way they are... The last thing the lady at the counter told me was about my coffee and sugar and it was to "get it my damn self" as she put it. Not really what one would expect from a place that costs as much as this one does. Yikes.

Yelp
Fun place to stay with lots of things to do. Close by to downtown, and lots of cool shops and restaurants in Hillsboro village. Lobby has darts, pool, shuffle board and more. Greasy place to hang out and stay

Yelp
This was a great place to stay, the staff is friendly and the motif is quirky but lovely done! We had a great view of the city and there is plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Thank you Moxy for your hospitality, a highly recommended place to stay...

Yelp
Son goes to Vanderbilt and we have visited a few times. Have stayed at Homewood Suites and Lowes which were great. decided to try Moxy because it was new and a bit closer to son's dorm and in Hillsboro (great neighborhood). This was one of the WORST experiences we have ever had. First, interesting vibe -- like a poor man's (destitute man's) W hotel. Loud music in the lobby and attempts at chic furnishings -- but it is more boorish and than cool and stylish. The rooms are very lean and rudimentary ( they call them "minalmist"). There are essentially no furnishings No desk, no drawers, no closet, etc (just some hooks on the wall to hang your coat). No clock in room either! Bizarre. They seem to try to justify this as somehow sleek and modern ....uhhhhhh...swing and a miss. Extra towels and pillows are left in a cage-like closet in the hallway to help yourself. Bottom line is that it all is just a very cheap (and not subtle) way to cut corners and save money. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the person in the neighboring room snooze with their iPhone alarm and it was as if it was in our own room. Worse than a Motel 6. Even the maid service was minimal. Made bed but didn't empty trash or clean room. And, there are no amenities except a jar of goldfish and skittles at the from desk. Even the free coffees are rushed off by 9am in the morning. Above is not the worst of it (for $250+/night). The customer service was not good...not even non-existent...but was very RUDE. Beyond just normal human courtesy. The previous reviews about the abhorrent service are absolutely right and not just isolated one-offs. It is a culture of eye-rolling, complaining, and rudeness. When I mentioned (OK , politely complained) about the painting and drilling outside our room the first morning, the girl at the front desk rolled her eyes and then said it was not her fault (???) She said it was the contractors fault. Really????!!! This was really a minor sign of the overall rudeness. So many examples. I don't mind paying $100-$700/night but I don't want to be treated like crap. No reason at all to stay here. None. Try Loews or Homewood suites. I might try the Aertson next time. I can't believe this hotel will last.

Yelp
Amazing Hotel! Super clean, amazingly friendly staff and great amenities! We checked in on 1/14 , I can't remember the two girls names that were working that night but they were seriously amazing people! So kind , energetic, knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic! Highly recommend !

Yelp
We checked in super late at 1am but the lady in front desk was the sweetest and was so helpful. This place is so clean and totally worth the money. I also like the "stash closet" they have and makes it so convenient as a guest.
