The servers work very well — fast, attentive, and efficient. The food overall is about a 3–4 out of 5, decent but with some issues. The tuna tartare was overly marinated and too salty. Most of the other dishes were on the sweeter side — even the Alfredo pasta, the mashed potatoes with salmon, and the shrimp all had an unexpected sweetness that threw off the flavor. Overall, it’s an okay spot for a meal in the mall, nothing extraordinary but comfortable. The Tulum-Tulum cocktail was a highlight — really good.

Google
Hello my Foodies! I saw this place about a year ago and wanted to try it. I finally got the chance this year. It was ok. I believe the pasta is made fresh and the sauce. I never tasted Alfredo the way they make it. Mine usually comes out of can. I know sorry! So the flavor was very different but after a couple of bites it was actually pretty good. That bread and the tomato dip sauce was very delicious. Prices are what you would expect for American Dream so you go on a day you want to treat yourself! The service was good. There weren't many people when I visited. As I always say try it for yourselves and see..

We had the Chicken Alfredo and Chicken Marsala, both of which were delicious. For dessert, we tried the flan and tiramisu, and they were excellent as well. The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience very enjoyable.

My boyfriend and I are on vacation and saw the beautiful design of this restaurant. I ordered a fettuccine carbonara and my boyfriend ordered the skirt steak. The food truly hit the spot! However from the moment Adrian came to our table, the experience developed into a comforting experience. He was consistently asking what we needed, if we needed help with anything, even asked us how much Parmesan cheese we wanted. Adrian took really good care of us and reminded me of one of my representatives that I manage. A sweet gentleman that takes care of his customers. Thank you Adrian for this wonderful experience.

I had an incredible experience dining at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Our waitress, Donna, truly made the night special with her friendly attitude, warm smile, and outstanding service. She was attentive without being overbearing and made us feel completely taken care of. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time — amazing food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommend!

Google
We had the salmon and shrimp entrée with brandy sauce—absolutely incredible! The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were some of the best I’ve ever had. Truly one of the most delicious salmon dishes I’ve tasted. Julio’s service was exceptional—attentive, kind, and professional. Thank you so much for the amazing food and memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to come back!

Had a great time with family here. We had dinner on a Friday night. Relaxed atmosphere. Good food. Thanks to Adrian for the great service.

Google
This is a nice place to sit down in a very crowded mall. Great views and even better service. The food is fairly priced and you get good portions. I wish they added a bit more salt to the food, but other than that food is really fresh and very good. They also have a kids menu (and high chairs and booster seats) despite it not being listed on the main menu.

Yelp
Mozzarella Bar at American Dream was an awesome lunch stop. They offer a great selection of dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. The service was exceptional staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive, which I really appreciated. Prices are affordable and the portions are well worth it. I've visited American Dream many times but had never tried this restaurant before, and I'm really glad we stopped in today for lunch. What we ordered: * Chicken Parmesan * Espresso Martini * Espresso Martini with Bailey's Highly recommend giving it a try!

Yelp
I went with two others, we ordered drinks and appetizers. The plan was to order food but we never made it past the horrible service. The tulum tulum tasted horrible, It was nothing but sugar. I sipped a taste and placed it right back on the bar in front of the bartender "Erika" who never introduced herself by name. I only knew it because of the check. Also ordered a Caesar salad and calamari which was actually descent. Food came out and Erika never returned to check on us or I would have told her about the drink. I observed her over the next 20 minutes and still never addressed me or my friends. Finally I called her and asked her to close my check. She did and clearly couldn't care less. The $57 bill was paid and for the first time in my life I refused to tip. On my way out I spoke with the manager who listened and thank me for the feedback. I empathize with him as he has a big job ahead. This place is very nice and has great potential but people like Erika will ruin the experience for everyone.

Yelp
I have been itching to try this place since I first saw it. Located in the center of American Dream, the venue demands your attention. I went just before 5:00 on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded at all. The host quickly sat me. I was quickly given bread with tomatoes and olive oil. The bread was good and so was the olive oil. I ordered the ravioli which was a nice sized portion, 8 in total. However, the ravioli were undercooked and they didn't taste right. The pink sauce they came in was flavorless and it was very disappointing. The location is beautiful and I had a nice view of the mall. It feels very upscale and elegant. The price was decent but the food was very disappointing. Service was good but I wouldn't come back based on the food.

Yelp
As soon as we arrived at American Dream we decided to eat because we were famished. Our granddaughter chose this place. It was okay, but definitely somewhere I would be craving to go to. We ordered the calamari and it was decent. I ordered the Greek Salad and it was horrible. First of all, the feta cheese was sliced and not cubed. The green peppers tasted slimy. The tomatoes were cut too large and the cucumbers had the seeds cut out of the middle. I love the seeds in the middle. I ate a couple of slices of the cucumber and a few olives and called it a wrap. One of my granddaughters had the penne ala vodka and she loved it. The other one had the fettuccine Alfredo and she didn't like hers at all. My husband had the chicken parm dinner and he loved it! In fact, we all loved it.

Monique T.

Yelp
Food was absolutely disgusting. No flavor. The service was lacking we waited 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and come take our drink order.

Yelp
Originating in Italy, this establishment, whose menu is centered around mozzarella cheese, which is imported along with other fresh ingredients, offers a diverse menu featuring traditional Italian dishes. The trend has hit the U.S., where we decided on Mozzarella Bar for dinner tonight since our last visit 2 years ago at Court A, level 3, inside the American Dream mall. Greeted by the host, my partner and I got a table right away in the front. We decided on the Lasagna and Veal Parmesan. Complimentary bruschetta with warm focaccia bread started our meal. The food arrived fast and tasty. The portions were fairly small as compared to other Italian establishments and a little pricey for what one gets. Ambiance was loud as expected since the entire restaurant was open inside the mall. The service was adequate, and our server was Antonella. Overall, it was a nice dinner, but there are likely better dining options elsewhere.

Yelp
I've visited Mozzarella Bar several times now and I am always happy with the service provided by the staff. From being quickly seated to steady attentiveness, I have never had a bad experience. There are several cocktails to choose from and they're consistently delicious each time. Although I like my food as salty as my personality, I must agree with other reviews that mention the dishes have a little too much salt. I appreciate that there are several items that are gluten-free, including penne pasta. The beautiful décor adds to the ambiance to make this an ideal spot for a date or a night out with friends while at the mall.

Yelp
Not sure why the ratings for this restaurant are so low, but my friend and I definitely enjoyed our meal from Mozzarella Bar. We checked it out on a Wednesday evening after attending a Yelp event and doing some eye shopping. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time, so we were seated right away. The choice of napkins and utensils are interesting, for a lack of a better word: Not only did my friend and I get different ones (she got a smaller fork while mine was bigger), the napkins we got were paper instead of cloth, even though the empty tables around us looked like they had cloth napkins. Questionable plating choices aside, the food was delicious. The pre-meal bread came with flavorful tomato bruschetta, and we ordered burrata and farfale with salmon to share. Although serving sizes could have been a bit bigger, the burrata, which we were told is made in house, was fresh and creamy, and the pasta was had great chewy texture that went well with the sauce and salmon that looks deceivingly like pieces of chicken. Salmon was moist and flavorful, and not dried out at all. One aspect that could be improved is the service. It's possible that the staff were trying not to be overbearing, but they were a little too hands off in that we often found ourselves trying to catch their attention. Admittedly, we were so hungry that we walked into the restaurant without checking any Yelp reviews, but despite this departure from the norm, we had an overall delicious time at Mozzarella Bar.

Yelp
We loved the food and the service. We ordered sausage pizza and Fettuccini Carbonara, both were absolutely delicious . Staff were polite and extremely attentive. I recommend it you are at American Dream or even after catching a Giant game. You will be glad you did!

Jimmy R.

Yelp
Abject dogsh*t. Do not waste your time. We were ignored by the host when we were trying to get a table so a bus boy came along to seat us. The food was objectionable. The carbonara had no pepper, egg, guanciale or cheese and instead was an emulsion of cream with some bacon. The chicken parm had no sauce at all. Vodka sauce was passable though. The prices were also objectionable. Pass on this one at all costs.
google avatar

Shawna M.

Yelp
Our waitress was really nice but service was so slow. Food was like fast food. No flavor. Wasn't good, wouldn't recommend.

Brandon A.

Yelp
Believe the other reviews. I have been on this earth for 18 years and this is and I mean it, THE WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. I got the penne alla vodka and the sauce like typical vodka is creamy, it was the soupest liquid I have ever felt and seen and just inedible tasting almost like pineapple. I pick up the spoon and it splashes everywhere with extremely undercooked pasta just pick anywhere else
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Great service and location in the mall. My friend and I were in a rush for an event and our food came out fast and delicious. We each ordered the goat cheese salad with grilled chicken. Definitely a solid dish!
google avatar

Yelp
I never ever leave reviews but I really feel like I have to warn people about this place. The wait staff were super inexperienced and inefficient. Our food came out for two people 20 minutes before the other 2 at our table and when the second half of the food came out it looked sloppy. The worst moment was when they finally took our card to pay (after I had to go to the bar to get someone's attention) they disappeared with it for excessively long. We saw our waitress making drinks for someone else and then discovered she and her manager had left it out in the open for anyone in the mall to take at the unattended restaurant entrance. Really. Don't go here.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know why this place has bad reviews i don't get it. !!! I've been here twice now. Both times I enjoyed last time I got a little tipsy. So I'm go back & do a full review. But from I remember it was excellent So I will revisit lol.

Yelp
Stopped at mozzarella bar to have dinner after a football game. We were immediately seated in the server took our order. We started with a calamari which was rubbery. My son had spaghetti and meatballs, which were just OK and the star of the show was definitely the mushroom pizza. It was actually really good! The service was lousy. The waitress never returned. I wanted more wine. My son ran out of water. I would not return.

Arlene V.

Yelp
Ambiance is so beautiful and Food was yum.. the pizza was tasty but oily. Service was great they gave us box and bag for left over food.
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Fried mozzarella was probably the best I ever had. Pizza was crispy but slightly greasy. The service needs improvement. Our waitress did not come to check on the table, and we didn't have enough plates or utensils. She didn't even fill up the water. We also asked another waitress where the bathroom was and she didn't speak English.

Yelp
Came late after the giants fest. Servers were so nice and attentive. They have a couple of TVs around the bar. Bar is in the shape of a circle, it's a very nice design. Santa muerte was well balanced with sweet and tarte. The bread was so fluffy. I think it was bruschetta on the side, it was deliciously acidic. Chicken parm was a good portion to share. Noodles a bit dry so ask for extra sauce. The star was the farfale with salmon. When the plate came and saw the color, I was skeptical. But it's so tasty and creamy. The salmon is soft and just melts. Deff recommend.
google avatar

Emile L.

Yelp
What's up with that staff? Many young bartenders walking around, very nice...no idea how to make a drink or pour a beer. At least put a napkin down or coaster. Pizza was o.k. Skip it.
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
This is in a restaurant corner in the mall and overpriced for the quality of food. I can say this for sure because I was really hungry and still found it below average. It's nice since if you have a side view, you can look down the mall to see what's going on. First, the complimentary focaccia bread was pretty stale. When asking for a fresh one, it just seemed like they quickly microwaved more stale focaccia.... Not worth even having some. Second, the fact that it's called the mozzarella bar and their mozzarella seemed like the ones you'd buy prepackaged at a grocery store is a no no. The dishes are definitely not visually pleasing and the salmon was dry. The pasta was probably the only dish worthwhile as they do cook it al dente. The two stars are for the al dente pasta and the very nice servers... although it's more of a 1.5 star... I only recommend if you're really craving pasta and are hungry wanting a sit down rather than a food court.

Yelp
Made the decision to try here figuring other options at the Dream Mall was too difficult due to the crowd and lines. Can't imagine how bad the place was. The service was good, had good reception and table side service but the food was just unacceptable at all. The table side bread looked like scraps and not good pieces. Ordered the calamari and Margherita pizza. The calamari was decent but the sauce was too little. And they did include a good ice lemon. The pizza was simply the worst. No tomato sauce or pieces of tomatoes. The cheese was like flakey and the dough was like it's made of crackers. If it wasn't for the staff that was attentive probably would've gave it a negative score. Please focus on making good quality food. My kids probably would do better job making that pizza.
google avatar

Nora D.

Yelp
I can't give a full account for the menue as I came after a long day of walking the mall. I was hungry and wanted something healthy. Now overall I feel 40 dollars for a salad cranberry juice (charged for each pour ) and seltzer water is a bit pricey. But the salad was a full bed of green spinach with walnuts and strawberries and I added grilled shrimp. I would try this spot again and explore the menue further. It was empty so got seated quickly and was served quickly. It s surprisingly quiet for an open Restaurant.
google avatar

Anderson G.

Yelp
This place has a lot of potential. The quality of the food and the drinks are acceptable. I would be fair to give it a 3.5 or a 4. However, Erika's service was spectacular. So be sure to ask for her next time you around.
google avatar

Jackie U.

Yelp
Worst food I've ever had in my life. Not being mean but it all sucked. Rubbery meatballs, dry salmon, chewy steak, Marsala no flavor. Ran out of bread and Mozz cheese.

Joel D.

Yelp
The lasagna tasted good but every single piece of dishware brought to our table was dirty. Plus there were hairs in our water glass. The servers were all focused on whatever tasking was going on, and not attentive to the table. Shut it down, clean the place, and revisit your routines.
google avatar

Maya P.

Yelp
service was great!! food was also very good, me and my boyfriend got the fettuccine alfredo and absolutely loved it! we also split a flan between us and were big fans of it. it's not an authentic version of the dish but still good!! to anyone with allergies: it has coconut !!! very pretty dining area as well!!
google avatar

Yelp
Huh.. I don't understand why this was rated so low. Our family opted to eat here when all the other places had long queues (it's December), and we were all pleasantly surprised. You're seated in an open space that overlooks the other floors of the mall. We were able to see the Christmas talent show (?) playing in the lobby, which was nice. I can see the price as an issue. Bit of a sticker shock when looking at the menu but the portions were quite big, and I felt it was fair. We ordered a pizza, a pasta, a soup, and a fish to share among 4 people. I really liked the fish and the soup! The lentil soup was an interesting recipe with mushrooms and other herbs that made it stand out from the usual. Fish was cooked well and had a nice lemon hit. Pizza and pasta were good too - just more on the standard side. Everyone made me nervous going in seeing this star rating but everything across the board was good. Maybe some dishes were hit or miss? If you're like me with a family with their own preferences, I think you will find that this is an easy place to make everyone happy.

Sod M.

Yelp
I'm not one to leave reviews because I believe people have bad days, but this was bad no greeting at the front. While taking the order the waiter kept saying "what do you want", "and what do you want". They forgot one food item, or "it was given to another table" I feel the waiter would have caught that if he came back after our food was delivered by the other server. Pasta was cooked nicely just needed more salt, meatballs were tender, paella that was rushed was also bland so we sent it back. We had a birthday boy, would have been nice if the waiter didn't come back to the table and ask us out loud if we still wanted the cake. Wish I read the reviews before going here. Hire new staff!
google avatar

Paolo A.

Yelp
You're on Yelp right now trying to pick a place to eat at American Dream mall, right? Maybe you're there right now, or are planning in advance where to grab a bite. My advice to you is to skip this place. Me and my girl popped in for a quick bite and ordered a few things: -Ravioli with cream sauce -Pasta Fagioli -Misto(?) salad to share Salad was good, that's the 1 star. Soup was incredibly salty. I wonder if no one in the kitchen was tasting their product, or if they were tasting it and thought that was okay. Ravioli was the real focal point of the experience. 7 small, bland raviolis for $16, see the picture below for the presentation. You're telling me it was $2/ravioli, essentially? No garnishes, no love, just 7 of these little squares plopped onto a flat plate. Servers were a little stiff, but friendly enough. Venue looks nice and ritzy but does not reflect the quality of the food they're putting out. Spend your money elsewhere.
google avatar

Heidi O.

Yelp
The bread was good, and I enjoyed their take on lentil soup. But the chicken Marsala did not meet that title. And the service was pretty weak, some language barriers exist. We would not go back :(
google avatar

Lorie M.

Yelp
Food was good unfortunately with a party of 9 the check was not able to be split because the manager and staff are not equipped with the knowledge of the POS system which in turn gave us just one check. Now we have to individually count our food and pay to be fair with the rest of our party who has more kids and more drinks so thumbs down for that! The manager said we would mess up his whole system if he had to redo the check so rediculous and annoyed
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
Appetizers were tasty but the entrees were lacking in flavor. We got the calamari and bruschetta to start, and while they tasted good, they left something to be desired in portion. The entrees themselves relied heavily on garlic to carry the flavor profile. I got the chicken Marsala and it was doused in garlic. The wine sauce was flavorful but too much garlic. As for subbing any of the sides for a healthier FORGET ABOUT IT. I paid $6 up charge to sub mashed potatoes for 7 pieces of broccoli. I feel like I paid a dollar per piece of broccoli. The rest of my party got pasta entrees and the same occurred with the overuse of garlic to make up for the bland food. The pasta lacked much flavor and I watched a lover of fettuccine Alfredo, not even make it through half of her meal. Sincerely disappointed. The food was overpriced even for the convenience and experience. Definitely not a $50 meal. Service was decent but STILL not a $50 meal.
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
Pasta dishes were bland, portions were small and a touch overpriced. Pizza was good though. There are much better options to choose from nearby and even within the mall.
google avatar

Rusty R.

Yelp
Stopped here for a small bite while at the mall. Service was good, nothing exceptional but no complaints. Meatballs were good, eggplant parm was excellent, and burrata was good. Slightly overpriced, but not unmanageable. It's unlikely that I'll be back at this mall, and therefore unlikely that I'll eat here again, but if it were located differently I would consider it.
google avatar

Jaimie M.

Yelp
The food and service here was very good. Most of the portions were decent size. The spaghetti and meatballs was on the smaller side though (only two small meatballs). The eggplant Parmesan was awesome. The only thing that we did not like was that they added gratuity and did not tell us.

Claudette V.

Yelp
The portion you get for the price is not worth it. You get 2 triangle fried mozzarella that were soggy and oily. Something so simple to make definitely deserves an "F" and for $16 was not worth it! Also their prices on the online menu is not the same as their menu at the restaurant. It's cheaper online. I felt cheated and definitely makes me not want to come back. It just because it was in the American Dream Mall. I was better off getting Italian food from a local spot.
google avatar

Zachary B.

Yelp
I was drawn to this resturant because of its ambience. Never have I seen such beautiful visuals wasted on borderline unedible food. For a place called "mozzarella bar", the mozzarella was painful average. Actually, below average. The "truffle" buratta had an almost unrecognizable hint of truffle flavor, and the cheese itself was not good. The fried mozzarella was accompanied by marinara sauce that actually could have been water dyed red. Finally, the salad came with a bland vinaigrette and rubbery chicken. Pretty place but would not recommend.

Yelp
It's a mall kiosk with food folks, not a 5 star restaurant !! They need to get over themselves! The food is "good" not great, but $200 for pasta that looked like children portions?? I am blessed and grateful to have money which is why I would never eat there again because it is a waste of the money I worked so hard for!! 4 adults and 2 children everyone got pasta but 1 adult who got salmon, 3 shrimp and mashed potatoes for $40 and it was mostly mashed potatoes. My husband got 6 ravioli and I sent it back and said for $30 please put some food on this plate!! No salads came with the meal and the meatball app was so small a squirrel wouldn't be able to find its nuts!! BUT the kicker was the mozzarella appetizer that was $20. That literally had two small pieces of Burrata, chopped tomatoes & and few olives ..we drank water every one of us.. that's $33.33 per person for PASTA not even leftover pasta...Next time I will go to olive garden at least you get soup, salad and a vegetable with your meal and you can afford a soda.. as well as the waiter coming back to see if you need anything!! Ours was MIA and no restrooms! You had to walk around the mall a block to get to a restroom!! My daughter's food was cold by the time she got back with my grandson! The ambiance was that of a "MALL KIOSK" not a restaurant. Then they had the audacity to ask for 22% tip at a mall kiosk with terrible service I waited 15 minutes for a waiter to bring me my check and he never came back I had to go bring it to the counter "because it's a kiosk in a mall folks" the American Dream Mall is for tourist's it's fun and expensive and you only go once a year unless you're a mall walker!!

Kevin H.

Yelp
Only place on earth that serves cheese that tastes like wood. Would not come here again.

Yelp
The bread and bruschetta was delicious the Pasta e fagioli was fantastic try this place if you're in the area

Yelp
The restaurant is located in an open space at American Dream Mall. Everywhere in the mall that day was hot. The hostess asked if we wanted bottled or iced tap water, I said tap but we got bottled. It was $8, but it was chilled and refreshing so I didn't mind. We got a table right away, but it took a long time for a server to come by. They serve complimentary focaccia with well marinated/seasoned chilled tomatoes on the side. The fritto misto of fried calamari, shrimp, and zucchini was lightly battered and fresh. For entrees, we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, it had a bit too much garlic and butter; the mista salad was forgettable and flavorless. Unfortunately service was barely noticeable during our meal, but thankful we didn't have the waitlist times of other restaurants in the mall.

Uzaina S.

Yelp
We visited mozarella bar for a quick bite to eat. $100 later and come to find out they took the liberty of adding an additional tip for themselves. Had to file a claim with my bank because the Manager couldnt help. Really disgusting and unacceptable. The audacity of this establishment. Pizza was good. Ceaser salad was subpar. Never again. Cannot be trusted. Thieves were amongst us just waiting for the opportunity.

Lee B.

Yelp
100% agree with another reviewer that said "the food was just unacceptable at all". It hurts your head to think that in NJ any italian food could be this bad - yet it is. I mean everything from appetizers to mains to desserts are amateur level. And paying airport kind of price for all of it makes you just want to not only never come back but to post a review here to save other people from this mess. Just leave that mall for real food -- just has to be better.

Yelp
Third time we've been here in the past two months (we had nearby doctor appt) and keep coming back to this place. Their soup is fantastic, their pasta is great, and the service is awesome. Their spaghetti and meatballs and margherita pizza are amazing as well (no pic of those on this visit). Good staff, and general manager are super helpful and attentive. Definitely give it a try.

Lizbeth M.

Yelp
Foods not fresh. You're paying a high end price in high end vibes then low end food. Disappointed. Also, the waiter never came back with my change, he thought I was going to give him a $18 tip on a $42 bill. Didn't even ask if I needed change back. It was just like... no.

Bernadette S.

Yelp
Skip this one trust the reviews. Penne a la vodka has WAY too much garlic. Rest of the food was just ok not great not worth the price.
google avatar

Rudy B.

Yelp
BEWARE! We believe the food is frozen. They are understaffed and had no bread, meat balls, or pasta ravioli. Mind you this is a Italian rest. Food was absolutely terrible. You do not serve fatty pieces of salmon cut into small pieces in a pasta. The Alfredo pasta was overly cooked, the sauce tasted like it came from a whole gallon of milk. Pizza dough was undercooked and still white. I'm pretty sure they will end up closing this place soon. We sat us down in plastic beach table with plastic chairs. ABSOLUTELY Shameful.

Alejandro A.

Yelp
Came here for lasagna, but the cappuccino was good, alfredo excellent, and they were out but gave exceptional customer service and fulfilled many requests, including a birthday tiramisu. Would come back.
