In a plaza so easy free parking. One of the order at the deli counter, pay cashier, they bring it to you place. Had their version of Italian, you get choice of bread I had cibata . Was about $10 . Good sandwich word definitely go back and try others .

Google
I would give this place more stars because the food is always good but they are not strong at take out orders. They don’t have a system so take outs generally never get prioritized in the queue. You will show up at the time they said to show up you still have to wait 20-30 min. I would advise if you want to eat here. Go-in and order. This is not a one time event. It’s every weekend.

Best Breakfast sandwiches in the area. Must have lunch options. Always quick and a fun crew working. Love to stop in when we are in Charleston.

Mozzo has been around for years and it’s easy to see why. The food is excellent every single time, and I really appreciate them being fully staffed so the food quality doesn’t drop the busier it gets. The fresh deserts are great and it’s hard for me not to pick up a tub of peanut butter chocolate bites.

Google
Solid deli in the Mt. Pleasant area of Charleston. It has the hussle and bustle of a New York city delicatessen, but in a charming suburb of South Carolina. We arrived at around noon, and the place was busy and only getting busier. We got the Cali Club on ciabatta and the Muffaletta on a Kaiser roll. The bread choice was based on an employee recommendation. My partner and I each split our sandwiches and loved them both for different reasons. Service was fast, especially for the number to people ordering. It's worth the drive.

Google
I’ve always loved this place, but… there were 20 people behind the counter and NOT ONE of them was cleaning the dining area or the tables — everything was filthy, and the staff behind the counter were just standing around doing nothing. They recently did some renovations, but outside it’s still full of rubble and dust. The hygiene level is extremely low. I grabbed a pudding (expiration date 5/11), and it was already 5/24. When we pointed it out, they checked all the puddings and all of them were expired — but they didn’t remove them from the display. They just left them there.

Google
This is the best restaurant for an amazing burger and sandwich. The staff is extremely helpful and very talented. I’ve been going to this place for three years straight now and I eat it once a week highly recommend the chicken Caesar hot and breaded on a wedge you won’t regret it.

Google
Exceptional sandwiches however they take pride in their making you wait a very long time for them. You cannot have any urgency to wanted to eat from this place. Try putting your sandwich order in two hours before you need it.

Yelp
Mozzo Deli is a haven for sandwich enthusiasts seeking quality, variety, and convenience. With multiple locations, this deli has carved a niche for itself by offering a delectable array of deli sandwiches, including options for those with gluten-free dietary preferences. We always take advantage of online order to grab and go for our adventures! There is seating in all their locations as well!

Yelp
Stopped here on a hot day when cold food was needed for lunch. Really busy but the team hustled and got us through pretty fast. Fat boy on wheat was fire. Also enjoyed The Creek - great quality turkey meat, the apple slice was a nice touch. The kids turkey sandwich was a good size for being kids. Good selection of sides from deli or packaged chips and desserts.

Yelp
I went to mazzo deli on Tuesday and I've been there before but last time I only got a bagel and so nothing crazy but I looked up the best things to order and the Colorado roots was one of the top things and I am obsessed. I cannot shut up about this sandwich. It is so good like the first thing I thought of is my dad's gonna love this I'm gonna bring him here when he comes it's so yummy and filling it filled me up really quickly I I didn't substitute or anything so that's just like what it is but I was really quick probably like five minutes honestly I got the cantaloupe lemonade which was divine very summary. I think it was like $20 and maybe like 18 I forgot but it was well worth it. I would get it again people are just so nice it does get busy so beware of the hour that you go at, but it's worth it, I can't wait to go back and try something different. I want to become a a regular.

Yelp
Awesome sandwiches. Choose what you want from the lengthy options on the overhead menu board. What's impressive, is that whoever takes your order, makes the sandwich and then delivers it to you at your table, where ever you might sit. Large selection or fresh bread to choose from. Delicious freshly brewed ice tea and fountain drinks.

Lisa W.

Yelp
We have never been to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, until now, and found this awesome sandwich shop. There were about 10 tables, and an outdoor patio area. We got here just in time before a lunch rush. The girl behind the counter ( I didn't get her name) was pleasant and patient as we looked over the huge sandwich board. You choose your bread, then choose your sandwich choice. I had a roast beef, lettuce, tomato and horseradish sauce on focaccia bread. It was so so good, I was talking about it hours later. My husband had a Rachel, which was perfectly grilled and not greasy. He loved it! The sandwiches had names! They have some awesome lemonades. If you have the chance to eat here, do!! It looked new, but looked like it ran like they've been making sandwiches for a long time!

Andrew K.

Yelp
This place is awesome. But you probably knew that. That's why they had to open this second location. If you get the chicken parm sandwich (and you should) pop for the wedge upgrade. Is it as good as my wife's? Well no. But it is way faster and no mess in the kitchen. And it's really good. Wife likes the Colorado Roots sandwich. Look how thick that is. Place is still packed and it is way past lunch rush. Complements to all the kids hustling there.

Michelle B.

Yelp
While visiting Mount Pleasant SC my baby sister took me here. I had a Fat Boy sandwich and my sister had the western omelette. The sandwich reminded me of NY deli sandwich. I wish it came with a side and some pickles. The sides you have to purchase separately. And if I purchased the side the small was too big for me. But I still recommend them. The cantaloupe lemonade was delicious and so was the raspberry lemonade.

Ike L.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely amazing!! Came out super hot and melty and was so fantastic. My brother made his own and it was well proportioned and not skimpy. They also have a wide verity of great drinks including Boylan and joes. Service was super quick and easy and it's a cute little local joint and very cosy. Love it here! 10/10

Madison C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! My sister and I decided to try Mozzo before our nail appointment, and it did NOT disappoint! You order at the counter- lunch kitchen style- and then pay down the line. They had so many options of sandwiches, along with a good deli counter of potato salad, pasta salad, etc. It was absolutely slammed when we walked in, but the workers were so efficient in getting us through the line and getting the food out fast. My sister and I sat down at a table in the back, and the employees brought our sandwiches to us. They didn't have table markers, so they remembered who we were and what we ordered. It was extremely impressive! I will definitely be heading back again soon!

Laura B.

Yelp
Long Island girl trying to find the classic BEC in Mount Pleasant. I'd give it an 8/10... Pros: definitely tastes the same! ooey, gooey runny eggs fresh Kaiser rolls good prices! Cons: small and squished. Didn't feel like it had 2 eggs on it or even enough bacon. still hungry after.

Saifra Z.

Yelp
Solid sandwiches. It can get busy but they have a good process in place. The place is full of staff working there. They are organized and on it but they all seemed sad or just way too serious. Some friendly smiles would've made it a better experience.

Maddie R.

Yelp
So glad we were finally able to try Mozzo Deli on this weekend trip. We stopped by to grab sandwiches to take with us to the pool but we actually ended up eating them at the patio outside because the weather was so nice. The staff were very friendly and helped us choose the godfather sandwich, chicken caprese sandwich, and a side of pasta salad. The ingredients were fresh and the service was fast. We will definitely make this a regular stop on our trips to the Charleston area!

Angela B.

Yelp
I so wish we had a great deli like this in my neighborhood. I would be there all the time and I'd be fat! I ordered online so our sandwiches would be ready when we arrived. The Coleman sandwich on ciabatta was so good. I loved the roasted red peppers and the arugula pesto. My only mistake was forgetting to ask for the sandwich to be toasted. Oh well. I thought I ordered a Reuben for my husband, but apparently I ordered a Rachel (fat fingers while ordering on my little phone in the car). My bad. The good thing is that he enjoyed his sandwich. He did say that it could have used more sauce, sauerkraut and cheese. But he liked the pastrami that was the main part of the sandwich. Overall, a great experience. I highly recommend!

Maggie D.

Yelp
Heard lots about it here! Ran in to grab breakfast to go on a Sunday morning. The place was jumping. It definitely looks to be a local and vacationer favorite. We each got bagels to go. Only waited about 10 minutes so huge plus there. BIG FANS of the three pig. Genius. Smoked salmon was also traded back and forth between my husband and I. We couldn't get enough. Only disappointment was our actual bagels were very soft and did not feel toasted. Have heard lunch is spectacular so we're going to try that, too! *not pictured a black and white cookie I'll also give a 3/5. Icing was spot on but the cookie was missing that lemon hint we're always looking forward to!

Yelp
I'm from Jersey and the tri-state area as a whole take delis very serious. Mozzo Deli is legit your one stop shop. They have a huge menu filled all all your breakfast and lunch desires. Not only is the meat quality great, but so is the bread. Mozzo is without a doubt one of my top three delis in the entire Charleston area. If you need more proof, check out the line every weekend and during lunch. It can be crazy long at times, but that's because Mozzo Deli is crazy good! If you know what you want, save yourself some time and call it in so you can skip the line.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
My husband who is currently going through chemotherapy said he just had the best burger here. I had tomato mozzarella salad. Their mango lemonade is awesome

Yelp
I had an eye appointment in Mt P at 8am, so afterwards I wanted to try something new and exciting. I saw this place was nearby so I rolled in around 10 and was agog at the quality and selection, and ended up buying WAY too much food LOL I was eating Mozzo for 4 days! It was breakfast, so I had to get a bagel sandwich, and one for hubby. Then I thought, what about lunch? So I needed some sandwiches. Then I saw the beautiful salads in the deli case, and had to try the macaroni, orzo, chicken, and red potato with eggs. Then I saw the quiche, so a couple of slices had to come home with me. Some lemon poppyseed cake called out to me, and then sandwiches needed chips, of course. At this point I felt ridiculous and had to stop myself. I honestly can't remember all of them, but hubby said his salmon bagel was delicious, with giant slabs of cream cheese it alone filled him up for hours. I got something on an everything bagel and it WAS everything! So good. The Muffalleta was perfect, and the Dig the Fig was rich and lush with prosciutto. Hubby does not dig a fig or olives so those were all mine. The Coal Miner's Daughter is a perfect brunch, and the Godfather is truly worth kissing the ring. The chicken salad impressed hubby and he would get it again. The potato salad was also agreeable, as was the macaroni salad. All very simple, not a lot of stuff like I put in mine, but nice and creamy. The orzo salad impressed me, loaded with feta and perfectly light and refreshing. I will be back, as I had to stop before I got to the Cuban, and we haven't touched the burger menu yet. This place is a slice of heaven, with cheerful staff and a bright, open atmosphere. It looks like a fun local hangout. People brought books and were just chilling.

Dov R.

Yelp
This place is unusual. It's an extremely old-fashioned Deli where you walk up to the counter, place your order, sit down and the person that took your order actually cooks your food and then brings it to the table. I've been coming here for the last 8 years, and it's one of my favorite places to take out of town friends and family. Everything including sandwiches, breakfast items, burgers, salads are made fresh on the spot and invariably the food is outstanding, freshly made served by a friendly food server who actually did the cooking. Over the years the servers have come to know me, and despite the large number of people that are served every day almost always remember my favorites and with a cheery smile ask "the usual?" The prices are reasonable the coffee is always fresh with free refills, and parking is never an issue. I totally recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

Madi R.

Yelp
Have been a few times now. So far my favorite sandwich has been the eggplant parm. Don't bother ordering ahead, I arrived at my pickup time and still waited 15 minutes while watching other people come in, order, get their food, and leave before I got mine despite ordering it 20 mins prior to my arrival. Food has been great for a quick lunch, just won't be using their online ordering again.

Alexis P.

Yelp
I am wowed by this sandwiches! I order online and picked up and I am GLAD I did because there was a very long line on a Saturday afternoon. I got the Muffaletta on a kaiser roll and the Balboa on a sub roll. Both were PACKED and very delicious. If you're in need of a good hot or deli sandwich and in you're in mt pleasant, I highly recommend ordering here! There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating and it's a little hectic inside but it's a nice place to hang out and have a good bite.

Evan G.

Yelp
Mozzo Deli in Mount Pleasant is a great place to go for quality sandwiches and much more. Good experience every time I have been here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need.

Dot M.

Yelp
If you want the BEST sandwich experience at a NON-chain sandwich place, Mozzo's is your spot. We came after a full 3+ hours touring the USS Yorktown and USS Laffey at nearby Patriot's Point. They have a huge menu of sandwich concoctions to choose from as well as a make your own option with massive separate lists of meats, cheeses, breads, toppings, and a cold case of side items that would give any southeastern potluck picnic lunch a run for its money. We ordered from a guy with a fun New York/New Jersey accent, moved left to browse individually wrapped sweets that looked and definitely tasted homemade, then moved left again to order drinks and pay. Our sandwiches were brought to us as they called my name through the shop. Pretty bustling on the Saturday we went, but all staff were wearing masks and seating inside/outside was enough that we were able to claim a table. Wish my husband was with us, he would have been in deli heaven! Next trip to Charleston I will definitely be back.

Hannah S.

Yelp
We truly do love this place. Great breakfast or lunch and there's pretty much every type of bread and "filling" that you could want. I want to say two main things about this place that make them stand out from the rest: 1) placed a double order online accidentally. One of the girls caught this, called me, and I saved $95 that lovely morning 2) no restaurant follows order notes. Mozzo always does- if it's not a combo option on the menu, they will figure it out which may be a small victory but did impress me It's always always busy so be prepared to small talk in the line but it moves quickly. Outside of their main menu (on the giant chalkboard when you walk in) they have great fresh made sides you can purchase to complement whatever fantastic sandwich you get. Quite a few desert options too!! This is an absolute bomb place to get a sandwich!!

Mark B.

Yelp
This review is for the new Mt Pleasant location. This is a great addition to our area! Extensive breakfast/brunch menu, outstanding service and some of the nicest people in the restaurant business! I tried the 3 Pigs omelet (ham, sausage and bacon) and it was delicious!! The restaurant has both inside and outside seating, but I can see the take out business to be a big part of their offerings. Check it out!

Holden M.

Yelp
Any Mozzo sandwich is a solid bet. I've had The Cali Club (which is like a souped-up BLT) The Jerk on Ciabatta no cheese And The Veggiewich no chee... There's a sandwich at Mozzo for every day of the week... and even mood of the day. The deli items are worth snacking on, too. Pro tip: Grab it to go with a fancy soda and take it to the beach... Expert tip: add an extra tip.

April M.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting the Charleston area and staying in Mt. Pleasant. We happened upon Mozzos Deli and like it so much we came back two days later. The first time, my husband had the triple treat salad (chicken, tuna, and egg salad) and I had Dig the Fig sandwich (Prosciutto, grilled onions, Asiago cheese, and house fig preserves.). We split a tomato and mozzarella salad. His triple treat was very good and he enjoyed it. My Dig the Fig was so good I wished I had more (and it was a good-sized sandwich.) We also had a kombucha. That's not something you find in many delis. I was very happy that they carried a good selection of kombuchas and not just the standard sugary drinks. Two days later, we came back for another sandwich that had caught my eye: the Mockingbird. It's a breaded chicken cutlet with bacon, muenster cheese and thousand island dressing. So tasty! My husband had the Fusion (turkey, brie, and chipotle raspberry sauce. He said his was better, but I disagree. Mozzo is such a surprise. If you're in the area, give it a try. Yum!

Becca G.

Yelp
The hangover cure of all hangover cures. With locations in Mount P and Downtown, it is a sandwich place that is hard to beat no matter what you're in the mood for. With everything from breakfast sandwiches to chicken parm, it's a winner. My order? A Cuban, extra pickles obviously and douse that bad boy in hot sauce.

Christine L.

Yelp
This place is very busy during sunday brunch hours, but it's worth it! Set up like a real deli, one line for offering, one to pay and they offer take out as well. They have a selection of different sandwiches and breakfast options, especially omelets.

Lisa M.

Yelp
We make s stop at Mozzo whenever we are in MP for a visit. The line is usually on the long side, but they get food out pretty quickly. Never had a bad sandwich here but the coleman, the fusion, the roma & buffalo chicken are standouts for us. Bagels are NY style & outstanding. Ordering online to pick up in advance wasn't a great option this last visit, so we'll stick with the line like we've done in the past.

Tim K.

Yelp
Upon a strong recommendation I got myself some lunch from Mozzo's. This is a nice place to eat inside or take your food to go like I did. They've got some very friendly employees there with people who seem to take their job just serious enough but not unfriendly about it. I went for the Honeyslide Sandwich. slider. Apparently it's quite popular. The sandwich comes with roasted turkey, some bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and some honey mayo. I should have chosen a better roll but I went with the Kaiser. I wasn't offered an option. Maybe next time they will let me know. The sandwich was very good but nothing super memorable to give it 5 stars. I understand the breakfast here is very good so I will be back again

James J.

Yelp
Interesting, good sandwiches, friendly service, nice outdoor seating, convenient, good for a quick stop place to eat.

Noemi R.

Yelp
FINALLY!!!!!! After a 4+yr search, we finally found a true deli!! BECSPK on a Real hard roll!!! This place was fantastic!!! Even tho the deli was packed, service was quick and professional. Definitely will return regularly THANK YOU MOZZO's!!

Alison D.

Yelp
Fresh delicious food! I love all their sandwiches and salads!! Unique combinations I have never seen at other sandwich shops! Love love love their gluten free options!

David C.

Yelp
I have only been here twice but I had to let y'all know, as someone from Philly this place knows how to make a solid breakfast Sammy. Bagels are delicious, eggs are cooked PERFECT, bacon is crisp. Legit thought I was eating at my old neighborhood spot from childhood. 10/10 highly recommend if you're a transplant from the north looking to scratch that BEC itch.

William W P.

Yelp
When in Mount Pleasant, best deli in the Tri-County area. Great staff, always a line. Can be difficult to get a seat to enjoy your meal. Highly recommended!

Meg C.

Yelp
I was so excited to find this little spot after I was craving a good sandwich. IT is clearly a popular spot, their line never went down while I was there! It feels like such a classic deli with a huge variety in sandwiches, sides, breads, desserts you name it! You can build your own or order from one of their menu sandwiches. All prepared fresh in front of you. Toasted, not toasted they do it all. I cannot wait to come back. Parking is easy, just a lot outside the front door. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well.

Julia B.

Yelp
Great food but We waited over an hour for our food - service not so great!! Ambience - deli style.

Guerry N.

Yelp
This is our go to Deli when we are visiting our sons family in Mount Pleasant. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and salads.

Ami A.

Yelp
I love this Deli! Charleston needs more places like this! It's challenging to find Metro NYC style delis is the south, but this spot nails it. Refrigerated display with salads, prepared food and spreads, sandwiches made to order, fridge with drinks, coffee bar and breakfast sandwiches. Went on a Saturday morning and they had ten people working behind the counter. Ordered coffee, chocolate chip cookie (no judgement!) and a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese. Came on a roll just like I like it! Coffee (lots of flavors to choose from!) elevated my morning. Great way to start the day!

Roger S.

Yelp
Honestly they usually do a pretty good job with their sandwiches. when you're spending anywhere between 10 and $15 you would expect a good sandwich. But I ordered a turkey Reuben and it barely had anything on it (small) and it was delivered burnt. Smelled and tasted gross. I've had the sandwich there multiple times in the past and it was always fantastic. I'm just surprised they would give me a sandwich that looked and smelled bad. It was a pretty terrible sandwich. Help wanted sign on the door pretty much explains it.

Steven W.

Yelp
Hold on to your shorts! This is a sandwich Jared from subway definitely wouldn't have lost weight eating. You may as well close your eyes and just point because all of their Sammy's are incredible. The workers whip these babies up fresh for every order. Thank you for your service Mozzo

Stephan C.

Yelp
This is an excellent Deli/restaurant. Outdoor seating for Fido too. The people here are very helpful and friendly. Menus are huge! The food here is wonderful! I'll be back again to see if they're consistent for a five star rat Second visit: Ordered a Godfather. Came to me quickly. The sandwich was a true delight! My favorite Italian Grinder(Hogie). This was awesome! I'll be back.

Carrie S.

Yelp
Great lunch options and fresh salads. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommend this local Mt P deli.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious breakfast sandwiches ! The 3 Pigs was great! The parking lot was packed, but well worth the small walk.

Aidan B.

Yelp
I ordered one breakfast burrito and it was not ready for 30 minutes so I politely asked for them to check on it. They said that there were multiple tickets still in front of it and I said ok and continued to wait. Then 15 more minutes go by and I still havent got my ONE item. I asked for them to check they said nothing and gave me a random burrito that clearly was not my order (didnt have bacon on it which I asked for) just to get me to go. So they had the item ready just were lazy enough to not get it right. If you pride yourself from being a new york/tri state area deli how about you act like it and get better service.

Linda D.

Yelp
After many trips to Mozzo, it's time to share my favorites. All the sandwiches are written on chalkboards including all contents, toppings and dressings, which makes it easy to order with a quick glance. My most favorite sandwich is actually no longer listed on the menu, but, trust me, well worth mentioning. If you encounter a new employee behind the counter, just ask one of the veteran's. It's called "Nuts and Bolts". Sounds weird right? Well, its on a kaiser roll, unless you pay a small up-charge for a sub roll, which is well worth it because the sandwich is twice the size. The sandwich is so full that it's enough for me to have half for lunch and the other half, well, whenever. It's generously layered with breaded chicken cutlets sliced to the perfect thickness, and topped with layers of eggplant parmesan, also lightly breaded. The sandwich is topped with just the right amount of red sauce and provolone cheese. I grew up Italian, and have very discriminating taste buds when it comes to these items. It is my absolute favorite. Don't be afraid to think outside the box and try something different. I don't know why it was taken off the menu, but the ingredients are always available so give it a try. There's lots of sides including cole slaw, pasta salads, caprese salads and so much more. The cucumber salad is one of my favorites On the way to the register you'll pass a fridge filled with house made desserts. Try the cake balls. The one I fell in love with is chocolate cake balls half dipped in milk chocolate and drizzled with white chocolate. Delicious.

J W.

Yelp
Really mid. Been here twice and order has been incorrect both times, isn't worth mentioning as it takes quite some time to get your food in the first place. Decent bagels and breakfast sandwiches I guess, just horrible service with no urgency. Nice ambiance with ample seating I will say. Clearly needs new management

Sydney G.

Yelp
I'm kind of shocked that I've never reviewed Mozzo before considering how often I eat here! Whenever I'm in Mount Pleasant, it's my must-try for lunch. The sandwiches are all high quality and super tasty. I've not had a bad bite yet! My favorite is either the Fusion (Roasted Turkey, Brie, Raspberry Chipotle Sauce and Field Greens), the Creek (Turkey, Cheddar, Apple, Field Greens and Green Goddess Dressing), or The Godfather (Genoa Salami, Ham, Pepperoni, and Provolone with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Sweet & Hot Peppers, Oil &Vinegar). Their sides are also delicious. I love their many pasta salads (the one with tortellini is my favorite). Plus they have free wifi and a dedicated parking lot, so it's a great place to get some work done!

Annamaria B.

Yelp
AMozzing! I don't know what has taken me so long to try this place, but don't make my mistake. If you've never been, you must make it there. It's in a convenient location tucked away in a shopping center off of Coleman. I called my order in and was placed on hold for a bit, but after trying it, I can see why. The lunch rush must be insane but for good reason. So many tasty options to choose from so I can see why there's always a crowd. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was superb. Perfectly breaded with the perfect amount of spice. I think their portions are generous without being overwhelming. The staff was very friendly and the service seemed quick once I got there. I don't know how I'm going to choose from the menu on my next visit since it is so vast but I have a feeling I won't be disappointed.

Worst bagels in Charleston! Stale and chincy on the cream cheese!! This was so disappointing! Why would you serve a lousy product like this? Ugh never again!!
