"This simple shop may not be the most atmospheric, but its tasty food in generous portions at affordable prices always attracts a crowd. With a Thai owner and all Thai kitchen team, rest assured that the food is as authentic as can be. The tom yum soup strikes a fine balance between sour, sweet, spicy and salty tastes; the BBQ squid is nicely grilled and loaded with umami, perfect with the hot and sour sauce. Reservation recommended." - Michelin Inspector

Singapore Bib Gourmand 2024: Inspectors' Favourites

"MP Thai's prawn tom yum soup features a hot red soup with a balance of sourness, sweetness, spiciness, and saltiness. It is filled with prawns that offer an umami taste and bouncy texture." - The MICHELIN Guide

The food was really good. Top pick is always the deep fried pork belly which I always come back for! Kangkong texture was crunchy and the Tomyam soup was really appetizing! Also ordered the steamed sea bass. The fish had a slight fishy taste and would probably taste better if deep fried. Would order the deep fried version if I have the chance to order again the next time. Iced milk tea was okay. You have the option to order less sweet and less ice which I opted for. Take note that the rice serving is quite big so if you’re not a big eater, you can opt to share a bowl of rice for two people. One thing which can probably be improved is the table size. The table is kind of small to have multiple dishes. There is also indoor and outdoor seatings, though indoor seatings get filled up quickly. Come here before 630 to get a seat inside. Paywave / credit card is accepted. The price in the menu already include the GST (or maybe there’s not GST). No service as well. You pay what you see in the menu, thumbs up for that 👍!

We’ve been coming to this Thai restaurant for years — it used to be really crowded, probably because it’s Michelin Guide–recommended. This time, we visited on a Monday night and it was much quieter, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was craving their claypot glass noodles while he wanted papaya salad, so we ordered both. We also had their signature Thai omelette, kailan, and grilled pork jowl. Everything paired really well with the glass noodles, and the flavours were spot on. Loved the meal and it definitely reminded us why we keep coming back!

Pretty good and affordable thai food! Everything was tasty (albeit a bit salty), and we really enjoyed the tom yum hotpot in particular! :) Food is not too spicy, so don't be afraid to order more spicy!

Pic order: Green Curry, Tom Yam, Papaya Salad, Red Ruby Highly recommend these dishes is you're coming here to eat! Portion sizes are big and the food quality is great. Service time wasn't too bad even though restaurant was quite full and it was a weekend.

Portion quite small tasted normal, it doesn’t really hit my expectations as Michelin standard to me. We ordered: Tomyum Seafood Red with Milk $20 - inside only have 3 prawn and few squid and enoki. Tomyum soup tasted nice but not something that I will surprise and come back again Kai Lan with Oyster Sauce $10 - taste quite nice but the portion was really small Deep Fried Pork Garlic $15 - I quite like this, it was crunchy outside and soft inside. BBQ Pork Stick $10 - I tot it was moo ping but it is not, it was just a very normal pork stick and again the portion is really small Thai Milk Tea $4.50 - another mehhhh drink to us, the milk taste is stronger than tea taste. But this is my personal preferences (I like tea taste more than condensed milk taste) Mango Smoothie $6.90 - duno why we tasted a little bit artificial. It cost us $76.75 for 3pax, it wasn’t really expensive but it also doesn’t fill up our stomach

Didn't even know it was Michelin guide rated until I entered the shop. The food is actually reasonable and it's authentic. I ordered the Papaya Salad & Sour & Spicy Pork Noodle. Service is not bad, even tho they are very busy but they are very kind & nice. Personally feels that the place is abit small but it's alright. Very likely will return again to try out other dishes. 😁

ordered papaya salad but not being served. 30minutes later checked with the staff and she mentioned they missed out the order and no apology given. All the staffs are gathering around and chit chat. very unprofessional. yellow curry crab is too salty and crabs very little, vegetable inside is so large you can’t even taste any meat. deep fried squid batter is too bland. fried rice and yellow curry crab served with steam but food are not hot. feels like microwaved and served to us. pork jowl is the best out of a bad bunch. overall can’t believe this place has even 1 michelin, least to say 3??

My wife and I randomly walked into this restaurant, not realising it’s listed in the Michelin Guide for both 2023 and 2024. It wasn’t lunch hour anymore, yet there were still many customers, which was a good sign. We ordered a seafood glass vermicelli salad, a pad thai, and a Thai-style fish soup. The salad was freshly prepared with crisp, quality ingredients and had a well-balanced, refreshing flavour. The pad thai was slightly on the sweet side for our taste, but overall still quite enjoyable. The fish in the soup was large—more than enough to make the two of us feel full. The soup itself was outstanding; even the aroma alone was mouthwatering. The fish was soft (not exactly tender), but it absorbed the flavours of the broth nicely. The soup wasn’t overly oily or salty, and you could drink it without feeling overly thirsty or heavy afterwards. It was a very pleasant surprise and we truly enjoyed our meal here.
