The red velvet sheet cake and assorted cupcakes that you did for the Reel Gleeful event celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Reel Affirmations Film Festival were absolutely DELICIOUS! Thanks for your support of the festival and other community events.

As reported in Axios D.C., Mr. Bake was founded by celebrity baker Kareem Queeman, who is a James Beard Award semifinalist. Mr. Bake Sweets "churns out homestyle cupcakes and banana pudding" and in general nostalgic Southern / American comfort food. The menu includes cake in an 8oz jar for $6.95-$7.95 (such as award-winning sweet potato cake and red velvet cake), an assortment of cupcake flavors that can be ordered at $84 for two dozen, and, of course banana pudding, which can be ordered for as a half tray for $50 or a whole tray for $100. Local pickup, delivery, and shipping is available in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) metro area. As a bit of trivia, Kareem, who is actually known as Mr. Bake, still has the pan from his first cake when he was eight years old. It was a Pillsbury yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

I highly recommend these cupcakes. We decided to try the cookies and cream (chocolate cake, Oreo icing) and red velvet (red velvet cake, cream cheese icing). The chocolate cake was delicious- so moist and chocolatey! The Oreo icing was sweet but a nice complement. Definitely tasted like cookies and cream! The red velvet cake was also delicious! The cream cheese icing was a bit strong though, and out of everything was my least favorite thing. With that said... best cupcakes I've had in a while and I highly recommend! Can't wait to try more!

Yes, yes, yes, yes.... Another bakery in Riverdale. Bring on the sweets! Tucked in Le Fantome you'll see the QR codes on the tables. Order directly from your phone. They will bring the order out to you! So delicious! To die for! Who needs Nothing Bundt Cakes when you have this place near.

They are one of the place under Le Fantome. You place an order online and they deliver it to you. I ordered the cookies and cream cake in the jar. The chocolate cake was a little on the dry side, but the icing help make up for it. The actual Le Fantome is a beautiful place to dine in

Ordered cupcakes via door dash ! A star alone just for offering such a service for dessert . I think the cupcakes are tasty , had higher hopes for as I was hoping the cupcake would be a bit more moist . It not dry by any means but I think it could be better . Sweet Potato was delicious . Vanilla I scraped off the sprinkles . Presentation was good , icing to cake ratio good . Much better than going to Georgetown Cupcake or Sprinkles (I'm not a fan of those at all ) . Support this business . I ate it all so hence the 4 stars despite my slight critiques.

Omg we ordered some cupcakes to pick up on a whim this evening when we saw this place in Le Fantome. We got chocolate, sweet potato, and vanilla and they were the BEST cupcakes we've had since moving to the DMV 17+ years ago. Nothing compares. They are SO MOIST, the cake is so flavorful, the icings are so delicious. The best cream cheese frosting I've ever had. I'm so happy to have found this place. We will order cakes from him in the future.

Mr. Bakes cakes are absolutely delicious. He's professional, he pays attention to detail and he's fun on top of all of that. There are so many different custom bakers around that make pretty cakes but not many of them can make a pretty cake that also taste delicious. The strawberry shortcake cupcakes are something I could eat every day. I even like the icing and I have never been a fan of icing. Its not too sweet, its flavorful and complements the cakes. Overall, it's awesome.

The cupcakes are a delicious treat to finish off an experience at Le Fantome. Overall were very good but a little pricey.

After seeing the owner on TV, and taking a 45 minute trip to the establishment, I was a little thrown off by being told that I couldn't see what I was purchasing beforehand. I was informed that I needed to use the kiosk machine to make the purchase then, my cupcakes would be brought to me. After inquiring 25 minutes later how long does it take to package 6 cupcakes, I was truly disappointed about the taste and appearance of these miniature size cupcakes at $4.00 a piece. I get home only to find I didn't get what I paid for. I ordered a sweet potatoe and got red velvet. I don't forsee going back anytime soon.

I used Mr Bake for a surprise birthday party for a good friend of mine. Mr. Bake made a custom cake in the shape of a jack daniels bottle. The aesthetics of the cake were awesome and the cake was delicious. Everyone at the part wanted to know where the cake came from. I will definitely use their services again!

I will never recommend this bakery to anyone. I called to the place an ordered and the owner was rude and nasty with a foul attitude over the phone . I figured he was having a bad day. The next time I called to make a payment was told "you need to check your email and I sent your invoice." I finally get the cake for my bday and it tasted like cornbread. The cake heavy and dry. The decorations was ok and icing was decent . I will never spend my hard earn money here again . The cake was $100.

Mr. Bake Sweets is definitely my go to for any sweet treats when I'm having a party or if I'm having a cheat day and/or week becaise that happens . I recommend him to everyone I know needing a baker with confidence that should they choose him they wont be disappointed. Very professional and the cakes not only look good but they TASTE amazing. I highly recommend. Besides the cakes, the banana pudding is phenomenal. Better than my own mother's.
