Google
Great little mom and pop place in frisco. Great fresh and tasty sandwiches and smoothies. Will be coming again soon.

Google
Amazing gem! Their banh mis are 100% authentic, just like in the streets of Hanoi. It's hard to find a place that can match this. The freshness of ingredients is unmatched. They bake their own bread, which makes a huge difference. They also add pate, an ingredient not every Vietnamese restaurant adds. Highly recommended!

Google
Tried Mr. Banh Mi for the first time on a Friday during lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve always driven by this place and decided one day to give it a shot and was not disappointed. The bread is excellent and according to other reviews, is made fresh. It was very soft yet with a slight crunch (there’s nothing worse than hard bread that scratches the top of your mouth - none of that here). The ingredients were fresh overall had excellent flavor. I think a good way to test quality is by looking at the veggies especially cilantro, since it can go bad easily - and well this place included fresh ingredients. I’m already looking forward to coming back again. Got the bbq pork with a fried egg and no pate. Highly recommend

Google
My wife loves Mr Bahn Mi sandwiches, she introduced me to this place, and encouraged me to try it. Vietnamese sandwiches are not my favorite, I have to admit that growing up in NJ/NY I love Italian subs from authentic NY style delis, but I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh the taste was, and it was better than I expected it to be. The best part for me is the bread, I usually buy a half dozen hoagie buns from this place and I make my own sandwiches at home. These hoagie rolls taste fresh, and after lightly toasting them they perfectly balance my homemade sandwiches.

Google
The best banh mi in town. The bread is super crunchy. Worth 45 min drive.

Google
Great banh mi! Very reasonably priced, just $6 for a pretty large sandwhich. The grilled pork was 8/10, very flavorful, just not as saucy as id like. The combo sandwich was 6.5/10.

Google
One of the best Bahn Mi ive had in the US hands down. Highly recommend menu no 4!

Google
I got the #1 combo and it was SO good!! I honestly can’t wait to go back. The ingredients were fresh and the place was clean. They were fast to make it and I wanted more. I think adding extra meat and veggies is a good idea, but depends on how big a sandwich you want. The only downside was they closed early and don’t necessarily stick to their posted hours. I went in to order more but they decided to close 40 minutes early. But I’ll still come back, very yummy.

Yelp
BEST BANH MI EVER. My ex who was from Vietnam put me onto this establishment 5 years ago, and always mentioned that the sandwiches are the same as in Vietnam. Even after 5 years...it's still amazing. It's a very small shop so if there's seating, go for it, but most people do take out. I recommend the Grilled Pork, but there's other options such as chicken etc. They also sell fresh shakes there, and an assortment of other beverages made fresh. Service is very quick and attentive, I recommend looking a the menu before going.

Samir G.

Yelp
I paid five dollars almost 6 for Vietnamese coffee. It was 2 ounces of drink and 98% ice as you can see in the picture over the phone. The guy was nonchalant inside seemed pretty nice, however very disappointed horrible business practice.

Kenny I.

Yelp
Walking in, I noticed the peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff, who were very welcoming. The Banh Mi sandwich was good, and bread was nice and crisp. The curry was spicy and the coconut milk didn't over power it. It was definitely worth $6.99 for the curry, because it also came with the Banh Mi bread. The coffee was nice and strong yet not bitter. I would definitely recommend this place for a budget friendly place to eat.

Yelp
Finally got around to coming here after I saw how good the other reviews were and I was craving a banh mi! Service was very nice and my grilled pork banh mi was amazing as well as the Vietnamese coffee I had with it. The entire sandwich tasted so fresh and the pâté was great (it was my first time having pâté as far as I remember). Thank you!

Joanna S.

Yelp
Ordered through Uber eats this time. We came back for the second time in the same week! ordered the same tofu banh mi for lunch instead of dinner. The bread and banh mi was delicious! I would say the bread is fresher during the day than 50 minutes before closing. I also ordered a strawberry smoothie... but did not receive the smoothie. super upsetting but overall, great banh mi.

David S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I had a combination (#1) with a fried egg. I am coming back to try different ones! Wow! Update: I went back 3 days later to try something different. This time, I grabbed the meatball one. SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE NUMBER 1. HIGHLY recommend the meatball sandwich!

Noel P.

Yelp
I ate here two times this week. Obviously I like it!! The Banh Mi is made fresh there- perfectly crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Sandwiches are about $6 which is nice but could you a LITTLE more meat. Overall really tasty, veggies are fresh and eggrolls are delish! This place is usually packed at lunch so expect some wait.

Chad J.

Yelp
If you like Banh Mi's this is must visit. Family run, awesome home made bread and everything is fresh. Also the egg rolls are crazy good! Almost all the sandwiches are only $6, and only $2 more for chips and a drink so you can't beat the value. My only advice would be to get double meat.

Richard W.

Yelp
A little hole in the wall off the beaten path but worth the visit. Their banh mi is served on fresh bread that adds to the flavor of the sandwich. They are constantly busy but each person receives great service as you order they answer all the questions. Will continue to order my banh mis only from here.

Lillian K.

Yelp
Great tasting banh mi, delicious eggrolls, nice people, and great price for what you get! We love supporting this small shop in Frisco!

Alice L.

Yelp
Business was already steady before 11am on a Saturday & egg rolls were completely sold out. My go-to is the #4 grilled pork. Solid banh mi for this area without having to drive all the way to Garland. Service is friendly & wait time isn't very long.

Don C.

Yelp
ate here recently, towards the end realized some of the meatball was pink and slimy (raw texture), i immediately felt sick and continued to be sick until the day after, Someone new must be working there because I've never had a bad experience here before.

Phyllis C.

Yelp
Mr Banh Mi has hefty banh mis for a reasonable price! Located at the edge of the 99 Ranch plaza in Frisco, this small family-run shop is serving up fresh fluffy baguettes with great filling options. I've come twice on a Sunday afternoon and it's always been easy to quickly order at the counter and get a seat at one of the 4 long tables inside. It's always taken no longer than 5 minutes to get my sandwich. Tip: it seems to be easier if you order by the number on the menu. I always get the #4, grilled pork, with everything. They are gracious about customizing, my friend asked for no mayo and jalapeño and they easily accommodated. Definitely a great local option for a quick bite!

Amy T.

Yelp
Pretty good banh mi! The quality of the bread is really good. Easy to order. Chill place to order and go. I wish it wasn't an hour away from me. lol would def come back

Larry N.

Yelp
The food was good and I'd buy again, but the lesson of the day is order online. They apparently prioritize online orders over walk-ins, so don't walk in at lunch time expecting to get timely service. There should be a balance.

Cindy T.

Yelp
Haven't been able to order from here in quite some time. Enjoyed the ease of ordering online tonight. Got the grilled pork bahn mi with cucumbers carrots, extra meat, extra pate, and extra mayo! Delicious!!!!

Gary N.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a recent trip because the reviews were so good and had a hankering for a good Banh Mi. Unfortunately, the SF Bay Area has Banh Mi's priced no less than $9.99 and they definitely don't taste like they used to. The bread is harder, they give less mayo, no pate, and less fillings. Mr. Banh Mi is not that! The sandwiches were loaded and all come with pate if you so choose. The bread was fresh and the loaves were large, all other ingredients were also fresh and delicious. The owners were also very kind, recognizing the large order that we had made and threw in a free smoothie, which were definitely all kid approved. I'd make a visit to this place again because of the value for the price. Too bad nothing like this exists back in the SF Bay Area.

Ava K.

Yelp
Actually my favorite place in the world. I always get the #5 (grilled pork belly) and whatever smoothie I'm feeling, though I think the passionfruit is my favorite. Their eggrolls are great too. Very affordable and so so so delicious! I think I would go every day if I could.

Melissa P.

Yelp
My husband couldn't stop talking about this place after we ate here. Yummy bread, good prices. We will be back!

Hima P.

Yelp
We love this place and the owners. Hidden Gem for a great takeout sandwich. The Pate is delicious. My favorite is the cold cut w/ extra pate and a fried egg, or the grilled pork with a fried egg and extra pickles. The service is so good and they're always so kind to us and our kids when we come in. Need to go this week to get another!

Matthew C.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! I loved the quality of their bread. Too big of pieces of carrots for liking. I'd rather them be cut a little finer. Best Bahn Mi i have had in awhile. Convenient, and easy to get to. Employees were very nice. They do a big take-out service.

Kathleen T.

Yelp
Really disappointed in my last experience. The price was inflated to $6 a banh mi but portions were really skimped. I'm gonna try banh mi dalat or drive to garland. This is getting ridiculous.

Erica W.

Yelp
This place is slow. Don't expect a quick lunch if you're ordering from them. It will take over 30 minutes just to get your order. On top of that, the amount of meat they give is really little. I wouldn't recommend going here.

Lea B.

Yelp
This is the second time trying to go to this place! First time it was closed second time they were open walked in wanted a to go order since we are from out of town. The lady waiting to locking the very last customers out was very rude and said we are closed. No hi, sorry we are closed Just straight up rude!! Definitely won't be trying them!

Nancy T.

Yelp
Been craving Vietnamese sandwiches and found Mr. Banh mi close in the area. I ordered the Grilled Chicken and fried tofu sandwiches. Both were really good. The bread is soft and buttery. The grilled chicken has lots of flavor and the mayo had a nice buttery taste to it. I love that they put a lot of veggies in there. I love cilantro and cucumbers and they add a lot to my sandwich with jalapeño as well. The tofu was really good as well. I will definitely come back whenever I'm craving for banh mi. Definitely stop by if you're in Frisco. Best banh Mi in Frisco

Jasmine R.

Yelp
Decent sandwich the restaurant service and dining area leaves room for a little more to be desired.

Fredric G.

Yelp
The best meatball Vietnamese sandwich I ever had. The ice coffee was wonderful too. The warm friendly atmosphere is why I choose the small business over the chains. The sweet mother making the sandwiches is such a hard worker. I will be coming back regularly. This was a quick walk while I waited on PepBoys to fix my tire. I'm thankful I found this small jewel eatery. Cheers and blessings to continued success.

Emily H.

Yelp
Service is great. Food is even better! Best Bahn Mi in town!! Everything is fresh and tasty and best of all its cheap. Mr. Bahn Mi is the best bang for your buck.

Rachel C.

Yelp
Love that there is a banh mi place in Frisco!! I used to have to go to Garland/Richardson to satisfy my banh mi craving! I really like their grilled chicken sandwich but I always ask them to pack the vegetables separately so that I can assemble at home. I usually reheat my sandwich in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp up the bread again and warm the meat. Then, I will layer in the pickled carrot/daikon, cilantro, cucumber, and jalapeño. A delicious meal for about $5 per sandwich!!!

Nantha S.

Yelp
Great food and quick service. Great staff Would go back again. Online ordering was a little tricky though.

Lam B.

Yelp
This is the best Bánh Mì place I have eaten at in Frisco so this will have to do. The baguette is buttery (gets all over your hands), flaky, and chewy. I need to ask if they can toast it next time as that will bring it to the next level. The veggies are fresh, crunchy, and crisp. The meats are seasoned, juicy, and sufficient (not too much but enough to get you full). On a side note, the Egg Rolls are okay and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee is strong.

Tony T.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese sandwich, perfect butter and fish liver ratio. Great crispy bread. Lots of selections. Please bring back the egg rolls :)

Deedee S.

Yelp
Solid banh mi place, if you don't mind the wait. Came here to get a grilled fish banh mi, but they were out. I settled for a sardine instead, plus avocado smoothie because it was hot outside. After placing my order in person, I left to get something at a nearby store. I hurried back, fearing my sandwich would get soggy, only to find they had not even made my order yet! There were 2 staff working on a Friday night and they were BUSY. Their phone kept ringing & they kept stopping what they were doing to take those orders. After waiting for a while, I finally got my sandwich & smoothie. Both were delicious. Please know the regular sandwich has liver pate in it, so ask them to take it out if that's not your cup of tea. I also saw other customers asked them to pack the vegs separately. The smoothie was made with real fruit. No picture because I was starving. Next time I will definitely call ahead of time to avoid the wait.

Aqsa T.

Yelp
Amazing Banh Mi sandwich and the only place you can find that adds pate Check out this small shop, it's a gem.

Fra S.

Yelp
This is the best place to eat Banh Mi in Frisco/Plano area. The paté they use for each sandwich is the key ingredient to the delightful taste of all their sandwiches. I go to work in the area every Friday. And I can't miss it. I always buy the Combination Banh Mi, with the jalapeños without seed (can't really eat spicy stuff) and cut into 2. I eat 1 for lunch and then the other for dinner. Love their sweet breads too. Yummy!!!

T N.

Yelp
The egg rolls are delicious! fried just right with right amount of meat to vegetable ratio. I came for sandwiches but the egg rolls are a bonus! I was a bit disappointed in the lesser amount of green/ cilantro & carrot/radish medley in the sandwiches.

Nancy T.

Yelp
Seriously, they put way too much cilantro in a sandwich. I get putting 1-2 stems of cilantro but literally the sandwich was half-filled with cilantro. Look at my picture. I'm not kidding. You can't even see the carrots, radish, or pork. I thought this may be a one time thing only but I came here a few weeks later. And nope. The same thing happened. Will not come here again.

Anna S.

Yelp
I always have these random banh mi cravings... and I'm so glad I found this place! I'm no banh mi expert but my friend told me you should never pay more than $5 for a banh mi. This place gives you good quality banh mi with a fair price. Their main selling item is banh mi but they also sell other items too like - eggs rolls, vermicelli entree, etc. I got their 3 for $2 egg rolls and they were delicious. I've been back 3 times already in the past month. I always get the pork banh mi. This place might not have the best banh mi I've eaten - but it's delicious and the price is great!! Will keep coming back. Servers have always been friendly every-time I'm there. After trying their banh mi sandwiches I don't think I can ever eat a Subway sandwich again lol. Tip: you can customize and take out stuff you don't want. I'm a bit iffy about the "liver paste" so I always tell them not to add that.

Mary T.

Yelp
It's ok to raise prices due to inflation but it's not ok to reduce the portions ! I been coming here for awhile now because it's location is close to us . But I will not be returning ever again ! I would make my drive to garland/Richardson for banh mi from now on ! This is how much meat we got in our banh mi today ! Btw we order the 5 get one and all 6 are like this !

Pauline P.

Yelp
Mr. Banh Mi is actually a legit, authentic, family-owned Vietnamese banh mi shop in Frisco! It's honestly rare to find good banh mi on this side of town... it's especially hard to find outside of the Garland area (where most of the good Viet eats are). I don't usually like to compare other restaurants when writing reviews but if you're familiar with Banh Mi #1 in Garland inside Cali Saigon Mall's food court then Mr. Banh Mi is VERY similar to that -- the bread, cold cuts, mayo were very reminiscent of the sandwiches I had from Banh Mi #1 so I'm wondering if there's some relation there since they practically use the same recipes (granted I only tried one sandwich from Mr. Banh Mi). The bread itself is pretty special here and is freshly baked. It has a slight sheen and I love the taste and texture of the bread -- it's very flaky and crispy so you get a good crunch with each bite. I only tried one sandwich from here so far: the combination AKA banh mi dac biet. The filling is average. The cold cut meats were pretty standard. They give you a generous amount of cilantro and cucumbers. The pickled carrots and daikon were ok -- I personally like them a bit more tart but it's alright. Their pate is solid and their mayo was pretty good! It's different from your usual banh mi place and it has it's own unique taste (but similar to Banh Mi #1). Overall a good sandwich, not my favorite, but pretty up there. If you're from the Frisco/Plano area then Mr. Banh Mi is a great option if you don't wanna make the 30 minute trek to Garland. I would recommend Mr. Banh Mi!

Yu-kwong C.

Yelp
Very happy to see a banh mi place near where I live. We ordered a grilled pork banh mi (probably most popular) and a fried turmeric fish banh mi. The pork was very juicy, succulently tender, and savory. We loved the fresh cucumber, pickled daikon and carrot, and cilantro. The bread was made in-house, in case you don't know. It is as fresh as you could get. The bread is definitely a key ingredient in banh mi or any sandwiches. The fish banh mi was good also although I would prefer real fried fish than processed fish, which is more of Vietnamese style. We also get a cup of beef stew. It was surprisedly yummy. The stew was not as thick as what I had before. But it was very delicious - rich, flavorful with a nice spicy taste. We didn't expect to find so much chunky beef in there. Definitely the chef is not stingy on the main ingredient. The menu is not extensive, but the prices are unbeatable - just around $5 apiece. I'm sure I'll come back again.

Juno L.

Yelp
I'm eating my first sandwich from here and I gotta stop to write this review. Holy moly. This is one of the best Banh Mi places I've ever been to. The bread. It's so buttery and soft but also so crispy! The veggies are fresh, the meats are tasty, all in all this was a fantastic sandwich! The service was really great too. Thien helped me today with my order and he was attentive and friendly! I'm so thankful that this place is so close to my work. I will be a regular from now on! Can't wait to try more! I also ordered a jackfruit smoothie and it was delicious and refreshing. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a good banh mi place!

Fiel R.

Yelp
Great service and good food and value for money. Ambiance can still be improved. Five stars

Saavi S.

Yelp
If I could I'd give them 3.5 stars. I feel bad giving them less then four compared to everyone else's reviews. I went to this place when it was fairly new and they were following covid guidelines REALLY WELL! I love how they have organized ways to pick up uber orders/phone orders etc. When I had gone I had ordered three sandwiches: Grilled Chicken, Grilled Pork, and Fried Eggs. The Fried Egg was surprisingly SO DELICIOUS and recommended to me by one of the girls working there. The bread tasted so good and fresh! I felt like the sandwiches/meat in the sandwich lacked a lot of flavor and took WAY TOO LONG to make I think I waited 45 minutes before my sandwiches were made. I am also comparing these sandwiches to other vietnamese places I have gone too and I felt like this just didn't hold up, especially since this restaurant is dedicated to just Bahn Mi's I definitely had higher expectations.

Bob J.

Yelp
Really good food. The bread is amazing. The sandwiches are delicious, as are the egg rolls. Definitely my favorite sandwich shop in Texas

Lyn T.

Yelp
I ordered sardine & grilled pork banh mi. Both are pretty good. Bread is perfect. Meat is great seasoning. Love to have a place closed to home instead of driving all the way to Garland or Richardson. Will definitely be back!

Raymond C.

Yelp
I can't believe these bahn mi's are only $4.75 and they taste so good! I live near here and I can't believe I've never been. I will be a regular because their bahn mi are so good at such a great price! Right now they are takeout only and they only provide seating inside for you to wait for your order. I got the Grilled Pork Sandwich and my gf got the Pork Belly Banh Mi and they were both really good! One thing though, I would stay away from their drinks. I got the strawberry smoothie and it was kind of eh. The flavouring tasted kind of artificial and the drink was way too sweet. Otherwise I will definitely be a regular to eat their awesome sandwiches!

Elaine M.

Yelp
One of the best additions to this strip mall! It's closer to Ohio around the corner from 99 Ranch Market, just so you know. Wow, ordered the combination (first thing on the menu) sandwich and it was packed and full of flavor. I got it without jalapenos because this girl cannot handle spice but for those of you who want the authentic flavor, go for it. The bread had a great crust to it and soft on the inside. And the pate... yum. It was such a big sandwich, I couldn't finish. We used to have to drive an hour to get really good Banh Mi, I'm so glad that there is a place nearby with as high quality. The service was very fast and friendly :). Only downside is that I had to eat it in my car, lol. Not really dine in option..

Nikki V.

Yelp
Mr. Banh Mi is a great place in Frisco to visit for banh mi. I highly recommend visiting and trying it out! Food -- Combination banh mi (5/5): They make their bread fresh and you can definitely tell when you take a bite. It has a nice crispy outside with soft inside. The meats don't have a lot of extra fat, and there is a good proportion of meat to pate/mayo ratio. Just overall great flavor and quite filling. Service -- It was a bit of a wait for our sandwiches, but that's only because the person in front of us ordered quite a few. It was busy but it was also a Saturday during lunch so that was expected. If possible, I recommend ordering ahead so you don't have to wait long!

JD W.

Yelp
Love a good Combo Banh Mi. Buy 5 get one free special. Call ahead and ready when you get there.
