"In a city full of stiff restaurants, Mr. B’s is a refreshingly unserious place that takes its food and drinks seriously. This place fills the West Palm Beach restaurant void between uber-casual spots like The Brass Ring and more formal spots like Palm Beach Grill. This is tavern food, so we’re talking burgers, salads, wings, and steaks. But when the disco ball starts spinning along with the DJ on weekends, this place turns into a party. And it’s probably the only reason you might see a Palm Beacher leave the island (other than to go to the airport). Don’t mind them. They’re just here to eat fish dip and see what a Pabst Blue Ribbon tastes like. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, so arrive early for a table at a bouncy booth under a giant wooden sawfish. photo credit: Ori Harpaz Food Rundown photo credit: Alissa Dragun French Onion Dip The hand-cut chips are the size and shape of sand dollars. And the onion dip is smooth and rich, but docile enough to not compromise a future makeout session with the person at the bar who bought you an old fashioned. video credit: Virginia Otazo Fried Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich We love the delicious chicken schnitzel at Mr. B’s sister restaurant, Kitchen. They have one here too, but this one arrives in sandwich form with a honey and hot sauce aioli for a sweet kick. A huge chunk of the crunchy chicken sticks out from the bun like it’s trying to hitch a ride home. photo credit: Virginia Otazo Crispy Eggplant “Burger” The fried eggplant is juicy, crunchy, and nearly thicker than the buns holding it together. It’s a bulbous sandwich. What it lacks in circumference, it makes up for in width and flavor. video credit: Virginia Otazo Mr. B’s Banana Pie If you’ve never tried Kitchen’s airy coconut cake, you can try it here. But (we can’t believe we’re saying this) the banana pie is even better. There’s at least a full-sized banana in this. The slices are layered on top of a crumbly crust and topped with fluffy whipped cream." - Virginia Otazo

My husband and I have been eager to check out this new restaurant for a while now. SO glad we did! Very cool vibe, great drinks, KILLER lobster roll! My husband loved the burger. The only downside was the music/DJ was a bit lid for my taste it was 7pm on a Friday night, and I'm noise sensitiv, so your results may vary. Good tunes though. Will be back for their generous happy our offerings and weekly special.

What an amazing hidden gem! It’s like a diner but has a DJ and also food is delicious. Servers are very attentive and also great wine and drinks! It’s a must if you are in the area

Recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr. B's with friends and can confidently say it was exceptional!!! We ordered everything of the menu, and I can't even decide which was my favorite. The Burger brought me back to life, The muscles which you can have a white or red were amazing and their portions are phenomenal, definitely don't skip the banana pie and their famous coconut cake !!! Overall , Mr B's Tavern exceeded all expectations with its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and outstanding service. Will definitely be my new spot! Highly recommend!

Nice concept. Limited parking and a bit out-of-the-way. Nice cocktails. The food is a bit expensive for West Palm but good. The waiter in particular was a very nice man-very helpful and upbeat.

Loud, fun, nice service. Started with the house made chips and French onion dip, very good. My burger was ok, I wouldn’t get it again the pickle was house made but mine had no flavor and the slaw was bland, just cabbage. Fries with my burger tasted like fish oil, which was weird because I didn’t see any fried seafood on menu. Incredibly fishy fries though. The Caesar salad with Mahi was alright. I didn’t love it. The market fish was a nice portion but ours was not cooked in the middle, very watery and my son didn’t care for the fries or slaw. Not a great place for kids. Definitely loud and fun environment though. Our server was amazing, I thought the auto gratuity service fee of 20% was a lame finish. Why not let me reward this guy for crushing it and being so on it. Makes 100% of his tip income taxable. Prices seemed higher than expected, we ate at the four seasons last night and this meal was more $$$ somehow.

Google
Great new spot. Awesome vibe. Simple menu. This place is the perfect upscale bar food spot. I got a burger and it was excellent. We also got a few different apps - Wings, fish dip, and French onion dip. They were all great. Highly recommend!

Great food and amazing service. Love the atmosphere. The drinks are good too, not too sweet.

Google
This is what I would consider a neighborhood bar! Love it. It’s super casual but attracts a more upscale eclectic crowd-very diverse age group too. The menu is a bit limited and offers more of a “bar food” experience. We ordered a cheeseburger and some chicken wings. The cheeseburger was outta sight and so were the french fries! This would be my number one thing to order. Service is top and everybody seems genuinely happy to be working there. DJ on the weekends. I can’t put my finger on it, but this place made me feel nostalgic, like when I was back in my mid 20s and we just had a cool hang out local place for cocktails, simple eats and no frills decor.

Yelp
First visit for our group. Restaurant was packed by 7pm on a Wednesday night. The service was quite good, attentive and friendly. We were a party of 4. Two Chicken Schnitzels, a Smash Burger, and the Mahi of the day. We shared a fish dip, which was flavorful. The crackers, however, were overly seasoned and distracted from the fish dip. Also shared a Caesar Salad, which was delicious and fresh. My burger, was also well seasoned, but the sauce was very wet, which made the roll completely soggy. The chicken tasted good, but wasn't really a schnitzel, was more like a standard breaded and fried chicken sandwich, and not pounded thinly. The Blackened Mahi, with Truffle fries was tasty. Overall, it was 'just ok'. Not sure what can be done about it, but the venue was extraordinarily noisy, and we were screaming to each other over the music, TV's, other patrons, etc. Not sure if I would make another trip from downtown Lake Worth Beach, but if I were in the area, perhaps a burger for lunch. P.S. What's with the automatic 20% gratuity on a party of four. It's annoying, and I often tip more than 20%.

Yelp
First visit and I LOVE this place. The Decor & lighting is straight out of the last century with a big bright picture behind the bar, red leather chairs booths and barstools (ok the barstools do have backs, but nothing wrong with some upgrades from the 50's) Service was first rate. everything was brought to us promptly.. The drinks were delivered Cold and the food was Hot. They had no problems with seperate checks. The quality of the food was wonderful. The fish I had was perfectly prepared and the fries were perfect. My friends had tuna tacos, roast chicken, and the chicken schnitzel sandwich. Everyone reported that they loved their food. Sorry no report on desert as we were all too full. Well be back

Yelp
I had received word about the same people who own the beloved kitchen on Belvedere opening a new neighborhood lounge with vintage vibes in West Palm Beach that had a cool bar offering cocktails and a food menu. Naturally, I had to check it out and pleased with the old school Floridian meets Polynesian interior and local vibes. Plus the cocktails were good from the one I ordered. With GPS, I discovered that Mr. B's is a lot further south in West Palm than I anticipated. If you aren't familiar with where Georgia Avenue is then you are definitely going to need GPS with either Waze or Google Maps. You have to either go up or down Parker (depending on your direction) and hook over to Georgia via one of the side streets or get on the Avenue south of where it's located or north of Southern. The bar can quickly sneak up on you if you aren't paying attention. But once you see the brick-red painted building with the tinted rectangle windows with the large signage overlooking Georgia Avenue, you will tend to remember it. Parking is available either by the lot in front of the building on the property or on the streets surrounding it. Depending on when you go during the day, you may need to look for spots on the streets since the lot parking is limited, holding about 12-14 spaces total. The inside definitely recalls a 60s Elk Lodge meets 70s Polynesian without all the excessive palm branches and statues. A large stingray hangs on the north wall overlooking all the red leather bar stools, booth seating and table seating. A large painting of a tiger known as Frank apparently hangs over the liquor shelving in the middle of the bar area; hell, there is a drink also named Frank the Tiger (which I ordered and it was good). There is a game room in the southwest corner to the left of the bar that has an electronic dart board and a pool table. While I only stayed for a drink, the experience was fun and chill, definitely radiating neighborhood bar vibes in an old Florida setting. The Frank the Tiger reminds me mostly of a Negroni with the Campari. It certainly packs a punch between that, the gin, the rum, and the Montenegro. Haven't had tried any food from the menu yet, but look forward to checking out on my next visit.

Yelp
Love Mr.Bs. The atmosphere Is great. Drinks are good - they do a great margarita, best appetizer is the French onion dip. The grilled chicken Cobb salad and the tavern burger are also really great and must finish with the coconut cake Everyone is really friendly and great crowd

Yelp
What an interesting little spot. I came here for lunch right at noon and the place was pretty empty. I was greeted up entry by the staff. I sat at the bar and had the blackened fish sandwich. It's a limited menu which I kinda like. The size of the sandwich when it came out looked kinda small but it was tasty and filling. I will definitely comeback and try a few other items. Enjoy!

Yelp
Disappointing. I really wanted to like this place. It has a lot of potential which is squandered by having such extremely mediocre food. It's got a kitschy kind of vibe and it's squirreled away and a mostly industrial type neighborhood. There's a fair amount of table and booth seating and we didn't have to wait at all for a table for two around 530-6pm on a Thursday night. Our server was very energetic and attentive enough. Where things fell was the food. The crudite platter had decent vegetables, but the dips were pretty awful. The hummus was more like a dense, flavorless chickpea paste - under-blended, thick and without an hint of lemon or tahini. The babaganoush wasn't any better, but the tzatziki wasn't terrible. My brick chicken was flat out boring and lacked meaningful flavor (go try the chicken at Hive or RH). Darn shame in my opinion.

Yelp
We had a very good dinner here. Parking is in the small lot out front or on the streets nearby. No valet parking fees to deal with. The area itself is a warehouse and industrial district. We lucked out finding a space as someone was just leaving as we were rounding the block for the first time. We were meeting friends and got there a bit early. Early enough for my husband to grab a glass of house wine at a happy hour price. The place was jumping. Obviously, this new casual restaurant (by the chef from Kitchen) is already on the radar of the in-crowd who like to try new places. Most folks were in jeans or the like. Every seat at the bar was taken with folks waiting for a seat. And every booth was occupied. We got a four-top table in the middle of the room. The tables are quite close to each other so there's not much privacy, but that wasn't a problem. What was a bit uncomfortable was the loud music which made conversation not the easiest. By the time we left, every seat in the place was full and there was a line of about a dozen folks waiting. The menu is limited, but there are enough choices. Our friends started with a chopped Italian salad. It had a little bit of everything in it including salami. This was quite good. I'd get this in the future. After that he had their fried chicken schnitzel sandwich. It looked good and he enjoyed it. She had their Greek salad with added chicken. She liked it but was hoping for a bit more variety in the salad. My husband had their tavern burger. There was special sauce and sauteed onions on it. Both his burger and the schnitzel sandwich came with French fries, coleslaw, and a pickle. He said the burger was very good. I had their local fish bites. The fish was mahi. The "bites" (an appetizer) were breaded and fried. It came with an herbed tartar sauce. I liked them. I took a couple home as I was saving room for dessert. Each couple shared a slice of their coconut cake. The cake was wonderful. Light and airy and nicely covered in coconut. The slices were large and perfect to share. There are a lot more items on the menu that I'd like to try in addition to their chopped salad -- like their fish dip, wings, eggplant "burger", as well as their banana pie. I hope we can return soon. PS. Just a note: They add an automatic 20% gratuity onto your check.

Yelp
A new modest foodie venture in the West Palm environs. Associated with The Kitchen, a great locale to enjoy lunch and dinner. You even get to sample some of Kitchen's items if you are in the mood. Loved our server. Wishing him the best on his private pilot check ride.

Yelp
This place reminded me of a pretty version of a pub and the customer service is great! I enjoyed the wings and the beer shot option during Happie hour was nice. Will be returning! Daisy was also so sweet and gratuity is included which I find amazing.

Jacob F.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere with fantastic service. Not a problem at all getting quick seating, fantastic burger and wings and my friend got the alla vodka pasta and said it was amazing. Highly recommend. Great cocktails as well

Yelp
They have done a nice job with the decor, cute casual place. The noise level gets bad once it is crowded which is most nights after 7:30/8. The DJ does a good job, but the acoustics aren't good. Foodwise, not bad. Fish bites were good the first time but not as good the second order. The fish tacos were actually tuna tar tar in won ton shells - not what I was expecting and did not make great tacos. There wasn't much flavor. Great coconut cake but 1 slice is $14.

Andrew W.

Yelp
Looks like they turned an old bar which it was into a slightly upscale tavern in a warehouse district. I probably wouldn't let my wife go there at night without accompanying her. I asked the difference at happy hour between a well drink and a top shelf drink and it was $16 compared to $20. I think that's a bit steep for the location. It was probably a pretty cool bar for the neighborhood before they took over. I don't think many Palm Beach people frequented the old place. The owners of the kitchen own this restaurant as well and have some upscale food and drink. The menu was a little limited but sufficient for this type of establishment. A salad, a burger and an eggplant burger with a perhaps blue ribbon beer and two vodkas came to $112. I thought that's a little bit overpriced for this area and this establishment. Maybe it's a trend for the future.

Yelp
If you are looking for a low-key vibe and very reasonable priced food this is your spot. Cool decor, friendly staff, good happy hour prices 3pm-6pm daily. You dont need to dress up- it's super casual, you can be in and out within an hour. Started with the French Onion Dip and Housemade Potato Chips- although the chips didn't look well done enough they tasted as though they were- a good starter for the table. We asked for more Potato Chips -there was a charge for that. Then had the Local Fish Bites with French Fries, both regular and Sweet Potato - I preferred the latter but both Fries were satisfying and served appropriately hot. The Local Fish Bites have a lot of crispy batter on them so maybe not low cal- if that matters. We added the House Slaw which had too much Dill for my tastebuds. Mr. B's Banana Pie although sweet, does not contain Banana Cream - in the Creams place is Caramel topped with Whipped Cream - a tad dry for my liking. For the money you can't go wrong- something on the menu for everyone. Thanks Mr. B's!

Rhonda H.

Yelp
Great local spot , they really spent some money to upgrade the look and the Burger was excellent Fun bar but great for a family visit as well

Daisey L.

Yelp
What an amazing new neighborhood restaurant. It's all the nostalgia of "Palm Beach" without having to cross the bridge. Amazing decor, drinks and food. Elena is an amazing bartender and makes a perfect martini. Definitely becoming the new spot to be. Bonus for me it's walking distance.

L J.

Yelp
I really hate giving this place four stars as it's already hard to get a seat. An earlier review with a single star wasn't quite jaded enough to be read as a "please stay away so we locals can have Mr B's all you ourselves!" That said, great people, nice dishes and drinks. A little loud but lots of fun.

Lulu A.

Yelp
I should've known by reading the reviews! Terrible! Food was below average... we had the burger, chicken sandwich and pasta. The pasta was the best choice if you insist on trying something from the menu. Service was terrible! Took me 10 min to get a glass of water. I suggest going to the bar and having a drink and LEAVING quickly!

Anne C.

Yelp
Blackened dish sandwich was phenomenal! Service was excellent and place is clean and inviting!

Amanda B.

Yelp
Fun, upbeat, high-end diner food with a fun bar. Good spot to come to watch a game, hang with friends, and grab a quick bite. The food comes out fast and the burger was my husband's favorite. Don't come if you don't like fun and loud music.

Christy S.

Yelp
Chicken wings were solid. Everything else was so so. It was busy and we were offered shots by the owner in exchange for getting up from our table to make room for incoming parties...my friends were still eating and nobody was having hard liquor so this was a very strange request. I don't think we will be back.

Giovanni T.

Yelp
Fun place with great music and a nice bar. The food though is terrible. Their salads are terrible and was once served their tavern burger on a moldy bun.

Christine D.

Yelp
Great food. My friend had fresh grilled catch of day, Mahi. I had the chicken schnitzel sandwich. Coconut cake of dessert. Service was fast and friendly. It was our first time at Mr B's and looking forward going back.

Janelle S.

Yelp
Mr. B's Tavern is a must-try!! The place itself has the swankiest, disco, classic tropical vintage diner decor and vibes. I tried the Stanton cocktail which was a light cucumber almost Elderflower spritz drink, it was refreshing. I had a chicken Caesar salad turned wrap with a side of truffle fries and wow! That was probably one of the best Caesar wraps I've had and the truffle fries were so truffle-y and delicious. For dessert we tried the coconut cream cake that was obviously made with lots of love and a special touch. It tasted homemade and for someone who isn't crazy about coconuts it was DELICIOUS! This is definitely food I'd crave and have to come back to Mr B's for! They have a back game room with pool and darts which makes it not only a nice place to have a meal but a great place to have drinks and hang out with friends.

John G.

Yelp
Good food, good drinks; good vibe; GREAT service! Convenient location. Could use more parking. By the owners of Kitchen!
