Best Vietnamese iced coffee I ever had from a business, best in town so far. Sandwiches are delicious too. Highly recommended.

Thank you for accommodating for our field trip group! Staff worked tirelessly to get our orders out. Great boba & smoothies. However, the matcha boba had an unpleasant aftertaste. But other than that, everyone was happy with their orders. Great Thai Tea btw!

Was just exploring the city for the day, came looking for great banh mi and in my search, i came across this shop. Tasty sandwiches and the bread is just so delicate but firm enough to hold everything in place! I got 3 sandwiches and all were amazing, by far one of my favorite places for banh mi :)

They bullied two elderly individuals who visited the establishment to inquire about being charged for four orders of sandwiches but receiving only three, as she had given the cashier $40 and received $11 in change. The situation was particularly distressing, as my elderly mother and another elderly lady, who does not speak English and unfortunately did not retain the receipt, were unable to effectively communicate with the staff. Despite the presence of all employees, none of them offered assistance, instead choosing to believe the cashier's account without reviewing the security footage to verify the events. The subpar customer service and mistreatment of elderly individuals with limited English proficiency led to my decision to discontinue patronage. It appears that the management lacks the necessary skills to effectively operate the business and address customer inquiries. The staff's behavior suggested that they believed my mother was being dishonest about a $7 sandwich. It is perplexing that the owner did not take the initiative to review the security footage. While $7 may seem insignificant, the manner in which customers are treated is unacceptable. I would advise against patronizing this establishment, lest you experience similar treatment.

The amount of bubbles in their bubble tea is tragically sad. 😭I was left with 1% amount of non existent bubble to drink ratio, nowadays I feel like getting bubble tea at frosty cafe cuz I miss their bountiful bouncy bubbles 🙏 I was mislead by the name of the place since they are called Mr bubbles 🤥

I regularly visit Mr. Bubbles Sandwich House for their Vietnamese coffee boba smoothie, and it's always a good deal. You get a generous 32 oz drink loaded with plenty of boba for what you pay. I've seen some reviews mention a lack of boba, but my guess is those visits happened later in the day when they were low on stock. The service is fast too, from ordering to getting your drink. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the mood for a boba boost.

This place never disappoints. They have thee BEST grilled shrimp wraps. They are filling, super delicious, and a guilt free pleasure. Eating a healthy, well-balanced meal doesn't have to taste like air. Their teas are also refreshing and not too sweet. This super cute location is located on Canal Street. Staff is always friendly and ready to take your order. Perfect lunchtime meal to keep you going at work.

Recently went to this spot to check it out. I was pretty surprised. Boba was good, soft and sweet. The menu didn't have my usual so I got the mocha coffee. I would say 4 out of 5 overall. I also got the combo bahnmi. I was surprised the but bun was light and crispy and not hard. The veggies were fresh and had good balance with the baguette. The meat wasn't strong and had some orange sauce. A different than what I'm used to. Combination usually has pate paste but I didn't taste it. Certainly is higher quality than in HCMC, Vietnam I liked. Sandwich was a bit small, but perfect for a quick snack. A solid 4 out of 5.

They need to be more consistent with their sandwiches. It's hit or miss. Depends on who's working, you might get a real sandwich that's filled with meat and veggies. Other times you'll end up with two slices of meat and 1/4 of a meatball on your combination sandwich you paid $7 for. What a joke. Do better, Mr. Bubbles. I liked the old owners better. At least they were consistent.

My go to place for Banh mi here in the westbank. I usually get the #2 grilled pork Banh mi. They used Dong Phuong bread which has a good toasted crunch on outside but fluffy on inside. During Mardi Gras season they also carry DP king cakes. It's a little pricier than driving out to the east but I rather pay the extra $$ to get it closer to home. Staff are always friendly and facility is clean. There is still no dine in. You just order at the counter and wait for your to go Banh mi. This location is located inside the Hong Kong strip center.

The place is located inside of the Hong Kong market. The taro bubble tea was okay, not overly sweet and well balanced but I probably will no longer have this again. Mine had the texture of a smoothie and other bubble teas I've had in DC were more a clear liquid. These teas come with tapioca balls on the bottom and from what I've read, are not very healthy. Soooo, I'll just stick to making my own smoothies at home or grab one from Smoothie King. I'm sure you can get these drinks without the balls but I'd rather err on the side of caution. They do have lots of other healthy beverages and sandwiches to indulge, so check'em out if bubble tea is ya thang!

Went into this store after shopping at the Hong Kong Market, what a convenient location! I got a grilled pork banh mi and am avocado bubble tea. There is no indoor seating; everything is taken to-go. My bubble tea was very thick and I think that's fairly standard for avocado but this was my first time having it. It was delicious. My banh mi was simple and filling, glad I tried it. Both items were prepared very quickly and the staff was nice.

Mr. bubbles Sandwich House has an amazing blend of drinks my favorite part is the tapioca balls. It's fun and exciting to watch them put together your drink.

I got 2 of the all veggie banh mi sandwiches and they are so so so good! The French bread is crispy and so delicious and all the veggies (carrots cucumber jalapeño cilantro onion) were fresh as can be! The all veggie banh mi is only $4.25 so I went ahead and got two!!! Ate one pretty much immediately and will save the other to add tempeh or tofu to when I get hungry again. 5/5 highly recommended you try a banh mi from Mr. Bubbles! It's located inside the lobby entrance to Hong Kong Market.

Mr Bubbles, you are the banh for mi! The banh mis here are so delicious. The French bread is nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Pair that with your protein of choice, some perfectly lightly pickled veggies, some jalapeños for some subtle heat, cilantro for an extra kick of freshness, and butter mayo for added richness and you have yourself one heck of a sandwich. On top of that it's such a good deal - only around $5 for a delicious meal. Their bubble teas are also pretty good. The boba is nice and chewy and the Thai tea I got was the perfect amount of sweetness. I would definitely recommend coming here for your banh mi cravings!

Ah. It's one of our pleasures while we go shop at Hong Kong Market. I'll be very frank, it's not the best Boba (I call it boba because I'm from California) in the City, but it's been the most reliable boba I can find around the West Bank. I've tried a couple of their teas, and some of them are actually quite bland. My favorite seems to be the strawberry milk tea, wherein they actually use real strawberries. The tea has a great taste (I think it was Jasmine, but I forget). Their bobas (tapioca pearls) are lackluster in that they do not have or retain their nice soft texture. In Los Angeles there are tea places every 2 miles, and if you're within a certain area of Los Angeles every block. If I can't make it to Meteirie, then this place (due to location) is definitely the go-to place. The staff are always wonderful. Their Banh Mi are also pretty good! Pricier than next door, but faster and dare I say it, friendlier.

Love this place! Staff are very friendly, and it's a very convenient location, the smoothies are always very smooth and everything just works with each other. I usually get a couple sandwiches and a smoothie and it's always precisely consistent! It's silky, buttery, but not greasy! I recommend this place if you just want something to eat while you watch a movie, or it's just a hot day and your feeling a little piggish.

I got the boba milk tea. I was not very impressed by the flavor. It has more a flora taste rather than a milky creamy taste. Tasted like watered down tea with a splash of milk. The tapioca balls were very good and chewy, however there were not many tapioca balls.

I love coming here for Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches because it's always quick, cheap and the sandwiches are very tasty. (They do make sandwiches inside HK market as well but I don't feel that the quality at the sandwich cart is as good). The bread tastes fresh and the sandwiches are made really well with all of the traditional toppings. My favorites are the pork meatball banh mi and the grilled pork banh mi. I also really like their strawberry passion tea with lychee jelly, it's not overly sweet and so refreshing!

Drinks review only. Very nice service but unfortunately their drinks are weak. I got milk tea but it taste like water with a hint of cream and tea. There smoothies is also lacking. Drinks here is water down tasting.

Was in the area and needed a quick bite, I have heard of this place before, but never ate here. It looks like a small place with nothing much going on, but boy, they got it going on! I had the following: B1 - Banh Mi Xiu Mai (Crushed Pork Meatball) - the flavor of this sandwich is out of this world! And with the extra kick from the jalapeños, I'm in heaven! Vietnamese coffee - perfect amount of bitterness, and a perfect dose of condense milk, it was great! I'm salivating thinking about this place!

Best banh mi on the Westbank! They order their bread from Dong Phuong bakery! You can even buy the bread plain! I love their combination and my son loves the xiu mai (pork meatball) banh mi. The jasmine tea is my favorite as well. The best on the Westbank as well. Yes it's regular jasmine tea but they brew it fresh and it is never too sweet like most places. It's just right! The management/staff really went above and beyond for me when I had to place a huge order for a funeral. I haven't eaten banh mi anywhere else since! Great food, great service, can't beat it!

Mr Bubbles has the best Banh Mi in the whole greater New Orleans period. We tried all the restaurants/ Cafes in town and no one has better Banh Mi than Mr.Bubbles. so whenever we want Banh Mi, we have to drive to the West Bank to Mr Bubbles. My husband also loves their Peach Kiwi smoothie. That's the only smoothie that my husband likes besides Smothie King. Though their tapioca has been a lot smaller than usual lately. I guess it's because of choking hazard. But it makes my whole family including my 3 years old very sad.

I got the pork banh mi and it was decent. The meat and bread were both good but there was barely any meat on the sandwich. It was mostly just bread and vegetables. I also paid extra for spicy Mayo to be added to my sandwich and they forgot to add it.

Avocado drink?! Avocado drink?! Wha wha?? I been sipping bubble teas with tapioca for awhile, and I am a big fan of avocados anyways, but I never made my way around to drink that type until recently, and now I have had it 4 times this week. Yummy!!! This is a easy spot o get your drink on, or bahn mi or something like that , like a in and out. Its located in the entrance mall to Hong Kong Market. We like to grab a tea and then go walk the market and enjoy the stinky smells and buy strange candies and drinks for later. Oh and stare at the huge live crabs in the tanks. I got side tracked again This business is fast and friendly. There is a picture menu to help if you arent familiar with Viet foods. The prices are decent and the location is nice and cool.

6 dollars for a banh mi and there's hardly any meat. I mean the entire sandwich is half full even with the veggies. Horrible

Needing a caffeine or boba tea fix before venturing into Hong Kong Market? Then you'll definitely have to stop by Mr. Bubbles for a drink. It's conveniently located on the right hand side before the grocery store entrance. Service is always welcoming and friendly. The cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee) was a perfect beginning to the start of Lunar New Year weekend. I enjoyed the cafe sua da, which had a good ratio of coffee: condensed milk: ice (4/5). Try some for yourself and you might get hooked like a kid in a candy store! If you are needing a bite to eat, they also serve a variety of Vietnamese banh mi (sandwiches) at reasonable prices. We tried the combination (thap cam) and pork meatball (xiu mai) sandwiches. The first thing that threw me off were the sliced purple onions. I was expecting the typical pickled carrots-daikon, cilantro and sliced fresh jalapeños, but the topping of purple onions just really threw me off. In all of my years of eating banh mi, I've never had purple onions in them! Personally, I don't mind eating onions but others may not. As common courtesy, they should let patrons know about this on the menu to avoid any mishaps in the future. The combination sandwich was average in taste (3/5), filled with Vietnamese cold cuts. Their bread tasted like it came from Dong Phuong- I can always spot their buttery French bread from a mile away. The pork meatball sandwich was slightly above average (3.5/5). The meatball has a sweet taste, almost reminiscent of an Italian meatball. The banh mi were ok, but nothing to rave about to all your friends. Convenience and cost are the reasons why I would visit Mr. Bubbles when shopping in the area. Their quick and friendly service helps to keep patrons coming back. I may be biased, but Dong Phuong still has the best banh mi in town.

Kind of a weird way to describe it, but I would almost label this place "Vietnamese fast food". It's a small place located right inside the Hong Kong market. There's a counter where you can order and a couple of tables and chairs. I stopped in because I heard through the grape vine that they have an avocado smoothie here and avocado smoothies are my new obsession. Went right in and ordered. I like that you have the option of getting your drink without the tapioca balls (my choice). The smoothie was a really good size for $4.75 and full of flavor. You could tell that it was really fresh. Pro tip: I noticed that as the drink warmed to room temperature the avocado taste was a lot more rich, so don't be so quick to gulp it all down in the first few minutes. They also serve small banh mi sandwiches, which are a steal at $3 each. That's why I labeled it "fast food", because you can get a quick little bite for cheap. I'll definitely be back and I'll probably get some sandwiches when I return.

I love love love Banh Mi! This place is no exception. This ace is located inside the Strip of the Hong Kong Market. Stop in a get a drink before you go grocery shopping. Then on your way out, get a banh mi! The place is family owned and ran. Mom is out making drinks, dad is fixing the mechanical things and daughters and sons are prepping drinks and banh mi! I always get Xa Xiu (sweet pork) Banh Minh. It's the pork loin seasoned with xa xiu. The bread was light and airy. So much like the french bread! I always get a Vietnamese frozen coffee with boba! It was also delicious! I would have liked more boba. I should try the avocado shake because they use real avocado!! All in all, I will keep coming back. I love supporting my local places. You should give this place a try.

With the limited choices in Boba in New Orleans, I'm pretty picky about the choices. I only come here when I need groceries at HK market and always order the same red bean with boba. They definitely do an excellent job with the drink. It is consistently good and the tapioca is always perfectly cooked and not too chewy or hard. I haven't tried any of the sandwiches yet but it's definitely on my list. The staff have always been nice. Overall, not the best boba I've had but enough to keep me happy in NOLA.

My goodness is this place incredible. Dragged my husband out here after begging to go for months and he was absolutely in love with the place (his argument: why does he need to try Vietnamese poboys when he already has a favorite poboy in the city). He loved it. The bread was super warm and soft, but with a nice crunchy outside, he got the sweet roasted pork with homemade sriracha mayo and I got the combo pork. I actually think I ate his sandwich, but I don't care. It was like a nice rich sweet/savory pork stew with cucumbers, carrots, and jalapenos. He loved the homemade sriracha mayo and the banana bubble tea was quite wonderful, too! Service was attentive and quick (minimum $5 purchase) and at $4.25 a sandwich it's easy to do. Not too dense, not too filling, just absolutely perfect. If you've never tried Banh mi before Mr. Bubbles is the way to go! I've also heard he opened a new location in Tulane Public Health building downtown and I'm crazy jealous I don't have class there anymore because I would literally eat there everyday!

Just got three combo banh mi sandwiches, fruit smoothie and a large ice coffee and let me tell you, the banh mi sandwiches tasted awesome along with the ice coffee to wash it down and the fruit smoothie tasted awesome as well. Love the kindliness service from the employee.

OMG a 6 inch po'boy (Banh Mi) for under $4. Hells to the yes! They'll even customise it for you which is great if you're like me and allergic to jalapenos and don't like cilantro. The bubble tea is awesome. My favorites are the strawberry and the lychee. Staff is friendly and quick and will happily explain what everything is and they have photo menus if you don't read vietnamese. Mommy notes: only a few tables inside, shopping carts not allowed inside, gives plenty of napkins, bubble tea does not have a kidde or small size

Stopped in here after having a not so great experience at the bahn mi counter in the market. This place was MUCH better. The girl behind the counter was super sweet and nice. We ordered our bahn mi sandwiches and decided to get some bubble tea after watching everyone else in the place order theirs. We liked that you didn't have to get the ball things in the bubble tea because neither of us like them. Everything tasted good. I do wish they had a tofu option and not just veggie. The veggie just doesn't have enough filling. It needed something. But it tasted good nonetheless.

After living in California and traveling to Taiwan (where boba was invented in the 1980s), it's hard to find a place that matches up in quality, especially down south. Mr. Bubbles comes pretty close - hands down the best option in the New Orleans area. So far, I've stuck to my usuals - taro, milk tea, honeydew, and avocado. The pearls have always been perfect with just the right amount of chewiness. The avocado smoothie was made with real avocado (my #1 test for any bubble tea place with that option). And the milk tea had a strong jasmine flavor (necessary for any jasmine milk tea in my book). One star off because sometimes the bubble tea can be a bit too sweet and/or powdery. Just ask for half sugar.

The strawberry passionfruit tea is still my absolute favorite but I now love the strawberry milk tea and the Vietnamese frosted coffee as well! Their tapioca balls are perfect consistency every time. :)

These are not the same sandwiches as inside the market. I will try the market Bahn mi next time to compare them. Pretty good Bahn Mi. Had the combo with a bit of everything on it. Bread was fresh and good. They told me a local bakery brought them in every day. Avocado smoothie was good also. I've had better of both but I would come eat here again. The staff was super nice and the food was ready in a flash. Just a couple tables and most people got their sandwich to go. Really a 3 to 3.5 star place but I round up to be fair to places as yelp doesn't do halves.

Worst mango bubble tea I've ever had. I watched her make it and she only put like 1/2 of a tiny spoonful of mango flavoring powder and maybe a tablespoon of milk. It had no flavor whatsoever. I make these at home following the manufacturer's recipe so I know how much powder you're supposed to put. Probably costs them $0.10 to make it how they make them. Ha ha!

I wanted to come on here to give my update on the banh mi. To me it seem like they put less and less meat into the bread. I like their banh mi but it's not worth it anymore.

Located in Hong Kong market, this little shop offers many great varieties in bubble teas and Vietnamese sandwiches. Get the frequent shopper bubble tea card so after ten you get a free one. I always order a 2 combination bahn mi sandwiches and 2 bubble teas and the total is $18. You can't beat that! Even when the shop is packed, the service is quick and friendly. The sandwiches are full of meat.

Best avocado smoothie, ever! They cut open a real live avocado, not a mix. Best strawberry smoothie, ever! With boba, yes please. I would go as far to say addicted.... No trip to Hong Kong Market is complete without one. They offer sandwiches as well, which I have yet to try, but they look delicious. The prices are amazing considering my super smoothie is $5

Love this place I have been coming here for over a decade now. I rarely go to this side of town anymore but when ever I am around this area I get a craving for bubble tea and drop in. The Banh mi's are good and I like their home made aoli sauce. The service is always great no matter who is working it's always someone extremely nice!

When reading reviews, do you really trust reviewers who can't even be bothered to type out words like you're? Seriously...go back to school before writing a review. You look like a fool. P.S.S what you smell when going into Hong Kong is how real food smells. If you don't know that, there is something wrong with you. Yes it is not sanitized and fake smells. It's real life. Deal with it.

Selling both bubble tea and sandwiches, this food spot is located right outside Hong Kong Mart. A perfect place to grab a snack either before or after shopping at the surrounding places. I ordered the Slushie Taro Bubble Tea drink which didn't take them long at all to make. Being only a few bucks, it's well worth the stop. It was of perfect texture with the right amount of taro flavoring and it had a good amount of tapioca balls. Usually places either put too many or not enough but they hit the spot. They sell a bunch of flavors too! I opted for the taro flavor as that's a personal favorite of mine but they also had red beans and to my surprise, an avocado flavored! I wasn't game enough to get that though but perhaps next time as I've never had a bad avocado food before. Anyways, definitely recommend stopping by if you're out this way and grabbing yourself a drink. My partner got a sandwich and I didn't try any as he gobbled it up pretty quickly so I'd take that as a good sign.

I spied Mr. Bubbles on our way out of Hong Kong Market after doing some grocery shopping. Grocery shopping is a chore, chores deserve treats, and boba is always one of my favorite treats. So a quick stop at Mr. Bubbles became imperative. We ordered the mango and the Thai tea. The mango was okay. They probably used Mexican mangoes instead of the infinitely more superior Filipino mangoes. Then again, I am biased. If you told me I could only eat one food (food, not fruit) for the rest of my life, Philippine mango would probably be on the top of my list. The Thai tea had too much ice but maybe we should have asked for less. With friendly service and decent prices, I would be happy to go back to try their other flavors. I also want to sample their sandwiches: I had a little bit of envy when I saw someone else's banh mi order, so I will order as well with my boba tea.

Small but delicious. I'm loving it in here. Bubble tea and sandwiches, you can't go wrong with this combination. There are a lot of options, so be sure to be hungry when you come in. Today it is fish patty sandwiches and banana bubble tea. I can't wait to see what I decide on for lunch tomorrow.

For about five dollars, you can get a solid Banh Mi. Crunchy carrots and good pork, the sandwich needed sauce but was delicious when I added Sriracha. Would happily eat again.

I love their Banh Mi and my favorite drink is Tropical. I ordered a Cha Ca (fish patty) banh mi which was really good!

I am on a Banh Mi/Pho craze lately so I went to Hong Kong Market for my ingredients. Mr Bubble's is inside the entrance. The Hong Kong Market is like being in a foreign country! So many things you've never seen or heard of before. After shopping I stopped at Mr. Bubble's. The banh mi was pretty good. I had the chicken and the wife had veggie avocado. We split a coconut bubble tea with tapioca that was pretty good too. The woman working there said the avocado bubble tea is the most popular. Recommended and affordable. ( Mr Bubble you should franchise. Lemme know. Really. I have a great idea for a Mrs Bubble and Miss Bubble.)

Once u get past the fishy smell of Hong Kong Market (barf barf), make ur way to the right and give this place a visit. Very friendly and warm staff. Not a whole lot of flavors to choose from like I'm used to in Houston, but it will do for now. Ordered the thai tea and was not disappointed! Tapioca balls were not that great (way too chewy like they had been left out too long or something), but overall I digged the place and would most likely come back if I'm on that side of town again.

This is one of the few places I will drive to the Wank for. Their avocado smoothie is absolutely delicious and as everyone else has mentioned, they use real avocado. I love their bahn mi as well, the Vietnamese Ham one is quite tasty. The bread is absolutely phenomenal, and I love the fresh veggies they put on every sandwich. Definitely get their housemade sriracha mayo on your bahn mi, it's delicious. The service has been great every time. It's clear this is a family business; the kids are manning the register while the parents make bubble teas and bahn mi. I love supporting businesses like this!

This gets 5 stars for super fresh ingredients on an 8" sandwich for $3. This is the way to go for sure. A great lunch or any meal for $3??? I'm happily shocked.
