Yelp
The servers here are kind, but I have nothing good to say about the food. The fish was not fresh, and everything just tasted wrong.
My group of friends and I LOVE ceviche, we love Peruvian cuisine, and we were super excited to try this restaurant. We literally walked 35 minutes in Miami heat to get here.
Lomo saltado- Huge portion, but the flavors aren't there. It was kind of bland, and the meat was really really chewy. There were fries. They were placed at bottom and just got soaked.
Pulpo al olive- We wanted to try a fun sounding dish. Oh man this wasn't it. The sauce did not taste like olive; it tasted kind of like sweat. The octopus itself was fine, though, so we just wiped off the sauce and ate it.
Ceviche- We ordered the ceviche mixto and the salmon avocado ceviche. The ceviche mixto was alright. It tasted like just lime. Nothing else but lime. The fish was labeled as just "fish", and it wasn't very fresh, but it wasn't offensive.
Now... the salmon avocado ceviche. DON'T GET THIS! After we ordered this, we actually got a tuna ceviche the first time. None of us like tuna, and we debated just keeping it, but we decided to ask for our original dish. Wrong decision. This is where the suspicions started. The moment we waived our hands over and pointed at the fish, the waitress immediately knew that the dish was incorrect and brought the dish back.
After like 20 minutes, the salmon avocado dish came out. Nononono--why was the salmon half cooked? It was either 1) sitting out in the heat or 2) microwaved slightly to cover the taste. It tasted super old, warm, and honestly disgusting. After one bite each, we couldn't stomach it anymore. I'm not sure if this was because salmon isn't a popular fish in Peruvian cuisine, which could honestly be our bad for ordering it, or if it was just negligence on the kitchen's part, but please do not serve this.
