Mr Chills First Class

Took my 10 almost 11 year old to this shop for his first professional line up and trim. He's only ever allowed me to trim as he watches. My son has long curly hair that he is very protective of. He was initially afraid, but Josh made him comfortable and asked for our preferences. After he saw the results, he wants to come on a regular schedule. Josh also complimented him by saying he was '"swaggy," which I believe made is day! Appointment process was easy and not a long wait. We'll be back.

its so hard for me to find a quality hair stylist/barber. my hair isnt the easiest to cut in the first place it has a mind of its own. josh is hands down the best barber ive ever had touch my hair in my 30 years on earth. he takes his time and really and i mean really does everything he can above and beyond to ensure your service and experience with him is just as the shops name is..."FIRST CLASS". josh my new friend and barber you have a customer for life!

The haircut that I got at Mr. Chill's was the most entertaining haircut that I've ever received. The guys in the shop are a lot of fun and do a great job of creating the atmosphere of what you'd expect from a traditional barber shop. Very high energy, very enthusiastic, and very funny. Beyond the experience, the haircut was also the best I'd ever received. I was only passing through New Orleans, but if I'm ever back in town I will be paying a visit to Mr. Chill's.

Just had the best experience at Mr. Chill's first class cuts. Excellent customer service and a quality cut. I went in for a clean up of my undercut and hardline. Courtney did an amazing job! I highly recommend this barber shop to anyone, including women. Mr. Chill's is clearly a pillar in the New Orleans community!

40 dollars for a hair cut. The barber is good but there are to many Great barbers that charge less to pay 40 for a good hair cut when you can get a Great cut for 35 and less

Mr. Chill's isn't just for men. My friend got a badass Ruby Rose inspired cut, I came along for the laughs. This is a first class establishment that can deliver an exceptional haircut and the men who run the show will have you laughing from the moment you walk in the door.

These guys are on point. I came in here looking like a feral mountain man after two months on the road, and Courtney used his master sculptor skills to chisel out just the look I wanted. The barber shop banter feels like you're chillin with friends in your living room. I wish I lived here so I could keep coming back.

These guys were really nice and talkative in a very respectful manner. I arrived here fresh from the airport and was welcomed like a true gentleman. I got a very very clean cut and was ready for the action aka daiquiris and old babes flashing on the ole burbon street.

Customer service in this day and age seems to be hit or miss. I needed a haircut today, and my barber was closed. I saw that this place was open, and had great reviews so off i went. With Mr. Chill, you're not just getting a hair cut. An experience is how i would describe Mr. Chills. Best haircut and customer service experience I have ever had. I just broke up with my old barber.

just an update....I have to reiterate that these two gentlemen are top notch. Chill Wilson's smooth demeanor will coax any timid toddler on his first haircut (very entertaining to watch). Chill and Carson work well together and are committed to excellent customer service.

Since being introduced to Mr. Chill's Barbershop I can't imagine going anywhere else to get my haircut. Courtney (my barber) always gives me exactly the cut I want and helps to make my hair noticeable in all the right ways. Also, I love that they work by appointments only, I'm in and out in a half hour.

I live in Hawaii and the first place I visit when I come home is Mr. Chill's First Class Cuts. Just like the name implies, their service is first class all the way. I love being able to set an appointment and know that the chair will waiting for me when I arrive. Both Mr. Chill and Carson are amazing barbers with the super-skill of making you look your best. I won't be home for a while, but when I arrive I know where I'm going first. In addition to barbering skills, Mr. Chill continues to be a shining example of community leadership and education. I started following his story in the Times Picayune after Hurricane Katrina where he started his barber shop immediately after that tragic disaster. Mr. Chill has evolved from that corner gas station to a plush barber shop where he continues to manifest superior haircuts, determination, and sheer Will. Aloha.

The barbers at Mr. Chills are top notch! Mr. Carson has been cutting my son and I since he was 4. I wouldn't dream of bringing him anywhere else. Great group of guys and a great atmosphere. We also look forward to visiting and discussing all the latest. Haircuts are very reasonably priced and Mr. Chill even has his own aftershave available for purchase. There is a public school across the street and each afternoon the kids come in for candy and water. Protocol is for all of the kids to acknowledge and shake hands with everyone present and they always do. It is nice to see these young kids learning from the men at Mr. Chills, be prepared to interact!

The first few haircuts I got here were fantastic. Great attention to detail--then. Today, and the cut before this one... I definitely have a baby bump in my hair. One of my sideburns is bushier than the other, just like last time. I'm gonna have to thin it out myself.

Welcoming to interracial couples (I was actually asked if i'd like to go back and chill in the room where the magic happens) while my partner was getting a cut. Normally, as a white chick rolling up to a black barbershop, I don't want to throw off the dynamics of what functions as a multi-faceted space for folks to let their hair down (no pun intended) and relax. So Mr. Chill's was a nice change! Also, my partner isn't American and is extremely picky about the cuts he gets at American barbershops. This barbershop was an incredible fit for him, as he found his barber to be extremely attentive to his requests and took care to study the shape of his head/face/hair to create a cut that truly suited his features.

Was looking for a good barbershop in Nola for a few years until I finally checked out this spot. Should have done it way earlier, this is a classic barbershop. I get my haircut by Carson who is excellent and a stand up guy, but all the guys who work here are great. Won't be going anywhere else, there is no need.

Best Barber Shop experience in NOLA by far! Extremely professional, polite, friendly environment that makes you feel like it's a family member cutting your hair, only better, b/c Chill knows what he's doing (sorry unc LOL) . After a long search of barbers, I've found my spot! Highly recommend, particularly if your military and want a fresh fade that doesn't "look military" like I prefer. Thanks Chill!
