Mr Chippy's

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips! The portion sizes are incredibly generous—you definitely won’t leave hungry. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky inside, and the chips were just the right balance of crunchy and fluffy. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it makes the experience even better. If you’re in the area and fancy proper, old-school fish and chips done right, Mr Chippy’s is the place to go. Highly recommend!

The staff was so friendly and the container was nice. And most of all, the fish was so crispy and chips were delicious.

The guy was pleasant enough, but the fish was soggy, the chips were minimal and had no salt. The food was sadly disappointing, didn't eat much of it.

The food was good. We ordered 2 large plates of fish and chips (because our children are not able to eat so much) along with 4 drinks (3 soft drinks and 1 juice). Unfortunately, when I wanted to pay, the manager started playing with the calculator and made me understand that the total was 33 Pound, when it was only 26 (prices that are visible to everyone). No one is richer or poorer for 7 Pound, but it is the audacity of wanting to be too clever. It is impossible to make him understand and I was "ripped off". I will never go back and I would not recommend it. There are honest people in the establishments around

Absolute disgrace told me to come collect an order then told be they don’t take orders and so incredibly rude!!!!!! Don’t bother with them they are a waste of time

Avoid here. Fish undercooked and quite overpriced! If the staff weren't so focused on being rude to customers maybe they'd have time to cook the fish properly. Many better shops in the area if you need a quick bite.

In all fairness this was all I could find in the area other than McDonald's and KFC and I wouldn't eat that if it was all that was left on gods green earth, now with that being said I'd like to add Mr Chippy to that list, if someone want to open up a good business I recommend a good Chippy in the area because this place is terrible. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars was because the guy working was very polite and he let me use the plug to charge my phone to write this review! The chips were rock hard as if they have been in there for a century, the gravy was like brown PVA glue (I'm not a child, I don't eat glue anymore) and the spring roll was like a turd rolled in puff pastry and deep fried, and why are you serving spring rolls? Stick to a culture jack of all trades master of none!

Now these guys know how to serve a portion of chips. No mater what you order, small, large, you get a metic-shit-tone! Plus just a heads up, the gravy has the consistency of snot, my advice...DO NOT LET IT GO COLD, keep it moving...do not leave the gravy motionless, it will develop a skin in less than 5 seconds. However they do serve bread cakes in a basket, it's a much needed touch of class. They also have some of the finest art work I've ever seen outside of a 1star hotel foyer, plus they have saved money by dispensing with those avant-garde, bourgeois picture frame which so many restraints now a days waste their money on, in stead favouring the photocopied picture frame approach, thusly saving valuable money invested back in the excessive chip portions.
