"From the outside this looks like any other bodega in Brooklyn, but Mr. Coco carries a plethora of organic and specially foods. In front they have a rotating assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables. During the day this place has a stream of people coming and going, a sign of this places quality." - Adam Brodowski & Clara Bunker

If you walk down Myrtle regularly, this should be your go-to. Keep an eye out for deals as you pass by and quickly Mr. Coco’s becomes a favorite. Great prices and great quality. I come home raving about this place to my roommates. If you’re living in the neighborhood I’d recommend this spot for produce and another store for dry goods, dairy, eggs etc. I’ve routinely spent $20 here on weeks worth of vegetables for 2 people. The check out people are really sweet and there’s a real neighborly essence to all the interactions I’ve had here — with both staff and other customers.

As much as I love this little store and the workers there. There is one cashier that gives me this disgusting look that I don't like getting in contact with. I have been coming to this store since it first opened. I shop here typically for fruits, veggies, and more. Today I have purchased alcohol from here like I do every other week. The cashier (I assume she is Indian) always treats me like she is annoyed by me. Now she asked for my ID to purchase alcohol. They never asked for ID to me because I have been coming here for nearly a decade and I have showed my ID to them before. I am 31 going on 32 in May. I don't know what her problem is but she has a unfriendly attitude towards me and I really wish it is someone else working in the front besides her. I know that there are other cashiers at Coco's but when it comes to her, I myself get annoyed. BTW, I was skipped in line by a Jewish man to purchase his groceries and the Indian lady was all friendly and smiley toward him. It looks like she picks and chooses who she want to cater to when it come to customers. Ridiculous! Please replace her. P.S. Another reviewer mention the cashier lady is "lazy and bias". He/she is right.

Google
The cashier at Mr Coco grocery store is extremely bias and lazy. She doesn’t pack the bags for customers and she is rude.

Google
Mr. Coco is my neighborhood food market. It doesn't have as wide if a selection as a grocery store, but the produce is somewhat decent and the prices on produce is very affordable. There are more organic packaged products and cheeses than vegetables. Very friendly staff, and a great option for that quick 30 minute meal you want to cook.

I bought 10 mangosteens tonight’s and all are rotten inside! I called the store several times and no response

Google
Nice neighborhood store with a good selection, fair prices and kind people.

Google
I love Mr Coco's. Really good quality fruit and veg, way cheaper than any supermarket locally. The shop is clean and bright and well stocked, always busy and the employees are always polite and pleasant.

Google
Fresh fruits and vegetables. Great price as well.

Susan C.

Yelp
Organic store very good quality of food and fresh as always we will highly recommend.

Tanisha M.

Yelp
The women cashier is rude and disrespectful and her customer skills are nonexistent, if she owns the store she wouldn't have treated me like this but she does care that they lost a returning customer and word of mouth referrals but I guess they don't need to keep customers. Most disrespectful cashier I ever meet and I'm from Brooklyn! Horrible

Yelp
This spot made me want to live in Fort Greene, from water chestnuts to cilantro; from quinoa to granola. All high quality, all reasonably priced. I was tempted to write a review based just on the granola because it was that good! This place honestly made my stay in Brooklyn.

Jahnavi U.

Yelp
A nice grocery store that has reasonably priced fruits, vegetables, and herbs. The vegetables were fresh. So happy to know it's open 24/7.

Kathy X.

Yelp
I live a couple of blocks from this 24-hour store, and it is my go to place for fresh produce: Fruits, vegetables, as well as chocolate baklava. They have the best prices for fruits and veggies, such as $1 Mangoes, Blackberries, Blueberries, Pears, Pineapples, Peaches, and so much more. All the vegetables are in the $1-4 range... Everything from tofu, to colorful bell peppers, Romaine lettuce, corn on the cob, mushroom, eggplant, and so on. There are always yummy sweet treats on the check out counter and my favorite one is chocolate baklava (which is also rare to find). This is absolutely delectable. Perfectly flaky thin layers of chocolate phyllo dough filled with honey and nuts. Other than what I listed, I find some of the other items (bread, crackers, chips, ice cream, drinks, etc) to be a little on the pricy side. The folks working here are always pleasant, friendly, and kind. This place is a wonderful neighborhood spot for basic grocery needs, especially for produce.

Yelp
Mr Coco quality has dropped tremendously in the last year or two. The last few times we ordered from here, it lacked any taste. They just give you milk and bubbles. Today I ordered 2 lava pearl lattes, which use to be really good. Now it's just milk. Service was quick.

Brandon T.

Yelp
Big fan of this little veggie heavy small grocer in my neighborhood. Have early everything I need if most of the time. Super cheap veggies, slightly higher priced packaged goods. Only two problems I have are that at times the veggies are flavorless or spoil quickly. Especially bell peppers and broccoli. Also, the freezer section is lackluster to say the least. The worst frozen pizzas, and no other good easy quick late night snack options.

Thomas P.

Yelp
Great organic stuff very friendly crew love buying stuff here all vegetables and fruits are very fresh and prices are very reasonable.

Kenny C.

Yelp
I feel like a Pokemon trainer, going to every single location of the Korean Mr. [Fruit] empire. They should give me badges. Anyway, aside from the super cheap produce that's reasonably fresh, I usually go to these stores to check out their beer selection, which is usually a crapshoot. Mr. Melon disappointingly doesn't sell beer, while Mr. Mango (my favorite store of them all) has the best selection I've seen outside of a specialty craft beer shop. Mr. Coco is somewhere in the middle. They sell beer, and have some interesting craft stuff, but the selection is still limited due to space. Speaking of space, Mr. Coco is pretty tiny, so don't expect them to carry everything. Also, due to their small size, they don't have a specialty shtick, like a juice bar or a bibimbap counter.

Tania C.

Yelp
Mr coco was my favorite place to shop my weekly fruits and vegetables. Well Tonight I'm turned off by their rude Indian cashier with the man bun who thinks he's a comedian . I will not step foot in that place again .

Suanne L.

Yelp
Mr Coco is a small grocer with the cheapest produce in the area. It is a bit out of the way for me, but worth it if I need to make a fruit salad or have the need to go vegetarian for the week and can't make my way to Chinatown. The produce selection is wide. This past weekend, I picked up blueberries and strawberries, pineapple, red and yellow peppers, $0.50 bunches of fresh spinach, grapes, string beans - and did I mention its February and it was all cheaper than the next three supermarkets I visited? While the markets down the street charge $5 for a flat of strawberries, Mr Coco was charging $1.50. I will note that produce quality can be a little hit or miss. Especially with the berries out front, you do have to check for bruising, leaks, and mold. If you're the type to eat everything quickly, this isn't an issue, but if you shop once a week or forget about produce, you may be a little disappointed. The quality of the fruit inside tends to be better. The store inside is well lit, its easy to find help if you need it, and there are plenty of grocery foods in the back like cereals and frozen meals, nuts, juices, and snacks. It smells like coffee by the register - they also have fresh pastries to make a grab and go breakfast. Getting in line may be a little bit complicated because its a bit crowded by the door, but get be nice to everyone.

Liz F.

Yelp
This is a great little place to buy produce and basic groceries. The produce is the most reasonably priced in the area, so Mr. Coco is my go-to for fruits and vegetables. They are 24-7, which is super convenient and allows me to do my grocery shopping at all hours of the night. Eggs, bread and other staples are also reasonably prices, especially compared to other stores in the area, so I'm a big fan of this little place.

Jess L.

Yelp
When I think of NYC bodegas, I often think of this spot. It's the quintessential bodega you want everywhere in the city. It's clean, has lots of different life necessities (including the more deluxe, expensive items), and even includes a small, well-priced produce area. The people who work here are very nice, and I've never not found what I was looking for. Seriously. I think all of life's needs can be found here.

Margaret T.

Yelp
I really wanted to give Mr Coco 5 stars because a place in NYC that sell produce that cheaply probably deserves it. The quality of the produce is better than the average corner market and the prices are comparable to Chinatown markets*. The selection is not amazing but has all the staples and some seasonal items. So while you're not going to find Jerusalem Artichokes and organic free-trade strawberries picked by profit sharing farmers, you will be able to get all the ingredients you'll need for your beef stew (except for the beef, maybe). So why not the 5 stars? 1. The line. THE LIIIIIINE. It's long and eternal. You'll see people buying 2 plantains who have been waiting in line long enough to grow cobwebs. Please hire an efficiency expert. 2. Mishandling of produce. Now that you've made it to the front of the line, that delicately chosen avocado you gently placed in your basket will now be slammed onto the counter next to the aggressively placed asparagus. *tear* 3. Non produce prices. These are insanely high. I tried to buy a pound of butter (who doesn't need a pound of butter) and it was $8. I found it for $3 somewhere else. A 1/2 gallon of milk is $3. $2 at another bodega. Look, Mr. Coco, I get it, I'm sure you're not getting rich and opening other Mr. Fruit offshoots because of the low low prices you charge on your fantastic produce so I'll definitely still go here to buy my produce and when I'm dying for milk or just too lazy to make 2 stops, I'll likely still buy other things. Just know that I'm on to you. I'm on to you. ---------- * This is a massive complement.

Andie B.

Yelp
Lapin and I come here during the warmer months for fresh fruits and veggies. Their produce is usually fresh (sometimes, you might have to dig for unblemished piece) and affordable. There is sometimes a line but it goes by quickly as they usually have two cashiers on staff. They do accept credit cards which is nice.

Kin N.

Yelp
Pretty good selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Very inexpensive and the people there are nice. A great neighborhood store that deserves our support. It is also 24x7 for your convenience.

Gina L.

Yelp
Mr. Coco is my go-to for fresh produce. I'm lucky to live so close to this particular bodega; it's hands-down the best in Clinton Hill. The staff are friendly and the selection of items is excellent for a store of this size. Plus, it's open 24/7!

Stephanie P.

Yelp
A little Whole Foods condensed into the form of a 24 hour convenience store, except better prices on produce! You can find almost everything you need in here, the variety is incredible: Frozen veggie organic meals, kimchi, nut-based milks, chips, organic canned/shelved products, ready-to-eat vegan sushi and dumplings, are just a few to name! What a dream amongst all other usual liquor store convenience stores.

Scorcha L.

Yelp
Very affordable fresh produce plus tons of basics. Eggs, cheeses and huge beer selection.

Lindsey H.

Yelp
Mr. Coco!!!!! This place is great. Really good selection of healthy foods and fresh produce. Conveniently open 24 hours!

Josanna V.

Yelp
Mr Coco is an adorable place, with great fresh and organic cheap food!! And it's 24/7!! I love it in here! They always there for us!!

Alex M.

Yelp
I love this place because it seems like they are ALWAYS open. Seriously, they might be 24/7. Its great for cheap produce but I suggest consuming it fast -- There have been times where I bought fruit or veggies that literally started turning bad the very next day. But that's the thing, you go here when you just need one pepper or one onion real quick to make whatever you are making for dinner. I've also had days where I went in and spent like 30 bucks on groceries to get me through the week because for such a small space, they have everything from english muffins, juice and coffee, to pasta sauce, veggies, frozen options, and chocolate. They also have a great selection of ice cream, beer, and all the typical bodega necessities like handsoap, toilet paper, paper towels, and batteries. They do have a credit card minimum, but who cares when they have everything you need? Avoid rush hour. Too many hipster commuters with special requests and arguing over already cheap prices. Lines get long quick!

Liz N.

Yelp
I realized that I've become a "real" New Yorker because I just thought to myself the other day, "well if the corner store doesn't have it, I probably don't really need it." Good thing Mr. Coco is my corner store! The store is consistently well stocked with lots of fresh items and the most reasonably priced produce in the area, but more importantly I have experienced a much higher level of customer service there then in almost any other bodega I've frequented. For example, I recently went there in kind of a time crunch and was hoping to find butternut squash that was pre-peeled and diced. They only had whole squash on the Shelves, but when I mentioned what I was looking for, one of the stockists took the squash in back and peeled and diced for me! Those mofos are not easy to prepare. I was surprised by and grateful for that level of service. My only complaint is that, because the limited shelf space is devoted to "fancy" and organic products, they don't really have some of the kitchen staples that I would love to be able to grab quickly, like mainstream cereal brands, etc. Call me crazy, but I think more people desire Cheerios than pink Himalayan salt.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
I just bought romaine, a cucumber a tomato strawberries, some peaches, spinach, broccoli and oranges all for less than 10$ I love this place the produce is so low cost and it's local. They sell mainly produce, stuff to drink and a few non perishables also a few household goods it's kinda like a bodega except their main source of product here is produce. A lot of the produce on display outside tends to not be as fresh and because of that the prices are generally lower. There are only two registers and because of that.. sometimes there is a line.. it goes fast though. They have a lot of Asian snacks and candies and they also sell sushi. They have coffee and ice cream too. It's a nice little stop to get fruits and veggies on the way home...a lot of organic and vegan staples here too.

Renea C.

Yelp
Gentrified? Rude? Unaware? Clueless? Humans replaced with robots? Don't know which? Probably all of the above. When a customer returns an item because it's uneatable. You don't say you're not responsible for how it taste. Then dismiss the person.

Dion S.

Yelp
WHAT HAPPENED TO MS. KELLY!?!?!?!?? I love Mr. Coco's because they stay open all night and they've been in the neighborhood like forever. I'm from Brooklyn I love something to remain the same. Ms. Kelly was my favorite. She always knew what I wanted even when I forgot to get it she would remind me..."don't you need Peppermint soap?" and I'm all like "yes Ms. Kelly, you're right!" then I'd go get it. Bring back Ms. Kelly or I'll come in there and just reek of stink sweat from the gym and then what's gonna happen!?!?

Amy S.

Yelp
I wanted to adore Mr. Coco, honestly but compared to Mr. Mango, it just doesn't match up. Yes, you have a pretty good selection of produce and the price is good for the area but otherwise it is basically a bodega that also sells sushi. If you need something last minute, if you only need one or two things, awesome... but if you have a grocery list, Mr. Mango is where it's at.

Audrey S.

Yelp
Lets put it this way...when friends come to visit me in my hood (thank god no one has really figured out this is the best place to live) they leave with a couple of bags from Mr. Coco. Thats right. Somehow on a tour of my local spots, Mr. Coco is always a highlighted stop. Mostly to make my Manhattan friends jealous that I can get two full bags of produce for $10. But alas, they all end up leaving with their own bags of produce to take home with them. Some of my favorite regular pick ups include (though price can vary but not by much) $1 blackberries $1 raspberries $1.50 Kale $1 avocado $1.49 Organic Strawberries $1 a pound vine tomatoes and the list goes on and on.... Owners are all extremely nice and friendly and deserve the success of this store! Ive already proclaimed my loyalty if I ever happen to live farther than walking distance.

Dexter C.

Yelp
I live down the street from Mr. C's And I will be the first to admit that they do have good prices for fruits and veggies. But once you get them home they start to rot within a day or 2. The organic fruits and veggies I buy from other places in the area hold up twice as long. I was told that the reason the can sell stuff so cheap is because they buy stuff that is about to go bad. Also I find the staff( stockers) very rude and had one run me over with his hand truck and acted like a total douche after he hit me and did not even say sorry. This place is an accident waiting to happen with boxes everywhere and you have to crawl over things and staff just to get something off the shelf.

Saba F.

Yelp
The reason there are often lines here is that they have Super Cheap Produce. I mean like $2 blueberries and $1 strawberries. You can usually go by and find 2-3 things that are so cheap it is shocking. I do try to eat my strawberries quickly because they don't have a long shelf life. But, it is worth it if you eat your fruits and veggies quickly. They also have a great array of cookies and things like pita and lentil chips. The chocolate dipped macaroons are heavenly. Nice selection of specialty items like little pickles and capers, nice cheeses and canned organic soups. They even have a sushi chef on staff who makes fresh sushi all day!

Amy D.

Yelp
Ok guys we really gotta get excited about this place. It is by far the best thing that has happened to me in this neighborhood. Fresh vegetables 24 hours a day. I, WE dear neighbors, have NO REASON not to eat healthy now that Mr. Coco is here. Before my excuse for eating cereal for dinner was that Associated was closed, but now? Greens, nightly; fruit daily. The selection really is decent (pitas and vitamins and crackers and house cleaning solutions oh my!) and the prices are outrageous how low they tend to be - $1.00 for strawberries! $1.00 for a lb of kale! The price does not mean the quality is sacrificed either. It is a mystery to me how things are priced so low, but Mr. Coco blows all the other groceries on this street completely out of the water in terms of quality, consistency, value, and cleanliness. I hope it stays that way... Hip Hip Hooray for Mr. Coco. A very enthusiastic 5 stars from me for this dream come true.

Daria K.

Yelp
I love you, Mr. Coco. I'm pretty sure you've changed my life. Thank you for finally selling beer. Thank you for having a great beer selection. Thank you for consistently being open 24 hours a day. Thank you for never judging me when I come in drunk at 4 am. Thank you for making delicious fresh sushi. Thank you for always having avocados and good produce. Thank you for have $1 coffee. Thank you for being you, Mr. Coco.

Rahil P.

Yelp
As a resident of Clinton Hill, I can vouch for the great qualities of the tiny Korean owned produce/grocery/convenience store that is Mr. Coco. It's the perfect place for people who don't cook large meals since they have all of your Trader Joe-esque green foods such as granolas, greek yogurt, natural sausages, soy milk, jams, spreads, etc. In contrast, they also have fresh produce, many discounted outside. They also sell vitamins and supplements. The only thing missing is fresh meat, which can easily be found at other nearby markets. They even sell sushi rolls! The prices are great for all of their products. You can spend $5 for a pack of strawberries, organic bananas, and a pound of granola, or just buy one top shelf jam. It's up to you. Finally, the greatest reason I come here over all of the other markets in the neighborhood: the variety. They stock a new item and have a new discounted item on sale every time I go. Lychee juice, coconut milk, giant California avocados, starfruit, pluots, $1 bell pepper bags, $1 for 3 oranges, winter sweet melon, and so on. My personality enjoys buying something new or cheap, so this works perfectly for me. It's more than just another Korean mart. It's a microcosm of high quality city supermarkets. Great job, Mr. Coco.

Taryn B.

Yelp
So many reasons to love this place: 1) They take cards 2) Really good $3.50 sushi made there, that you can pay for with a card 3) Lots of pre-sliced fruit cups for $1.99, that you can pay for with a card 4) Vast selection of vegetarian and vegan items, that you can pay for with a card 5) Coffee station with really good coffee, different creamers and sugars and SIMPLE SYRUP, that you can pay for with a card 6) Single-sold Emergen-C packets for 50 cents, that you can pay for with a card 7) Cigarettes of any kind, that you can pay for with a card 8) Extremely nice employees, not for purchase

Anne H.

Yelp
With a name like Mr. Coco, I was expecting the owners to be adorned with lei's and addressing each other with "Brah." This was not to be. The owner is actually an adorable Korean man, and his employees were actually hot emaciated hipster girls who clearly enjoy the health food products that are sold in this tiny yet well-stocked stores. Or they are heroin addicts. The rumors are true: strawberries and blueberries are indeed one dollar. With prices this cheap, I may come back before July 4th so I can make one of those stars and stripes cakes featured in those supermarket check out magazines that also promise 100 pounds of weight loss from walking 5 minutes a day. They also have a myriad of health food and vegan friendly products, including the largest selection of faux cheese that I have ever seen. The prices for vegan-rella and Applegate Farms were a bit lower than at other health food stores. No bulk bin so I have to deduct one star. How a bitch gonna get her quinoa on the cheap?? Also the gluten free section is limited to one shelf. No products really stood out--just the general Mi-Del cookies (which are generally hard and ass-y tasting) and Nut Thins. All in all, a solid health food store solidly located off the B69. Werd.

Amanda A.

Yelp
For starters this place is getting a 5 because they were open during Hurricane Sandy!!! They didn't close! They were still operating per usual! 0_0 Besides that I love this store. They sell fresh inexpensive produce natural and organic included. There are a myriad of products in the store, rare seasonings and sauces., national and foreign food and snack brand items. Pricing for most of Mr. Coco's items are typically one dollars less than local or big box grocery stores. I usually purchase fruits, veggies, or snacks. I wish they had more poultry products to choose from. But I can always get my turkey bacon. Plus they accept credit/debit cards for items $5+. So we're good I'll travel TJs for chicken. I used to live across the street from them but moved away to Manhattan and still traveled back to Mr. Coco once or twice. I couldn't help myself I'm attached. But I'm back around the neighborhood and I've definitely made my over. Lastly, the staff are super friendly and sweet. One of the guys once remembered the snacks I like to buy. :-D No other borough has this great of grocery spot. I lived in Queens, BK, and Manhattan I don't believe I'll ever move to the Bronx. But I'm convinced Mr. CoCo is hands down the best and worth a grocery shopping trip.

Dee D.

Yelp
So ever since this place opened up in my neighborhood, I've been frequenting... a lot. There are cheap fresh fruit and leafy greens. Always a good deal and fresh. I like that... i like that a lot. They also have a lot of other selections for organic fare and cleaning products. The convenience of being able to go there 24/7 is an aplus in my book. I'm not too crazy about the sushi, but the coffe ain't too shabby. So happy you came along Mr. Coco!

Cristin B.

Yelp
Love this store. Unfortunately they have not adapted to the current covid-19 crisis well. I'm a long time fan and patron of Mr. Kiwi, Mr. Mango, Mr. coco, and Mr. Melon. I wish I could continue to support during this time. But if your store is small, it seems necessary to create a line outside rather than crowds inside. People love your store, and it seems they are willing to brave the 20 people packed in a tiny store in order to shop there. It's a problem. I know staffing is an issue. But instead of two cashiers, perhaps there is one cashier and one line regulator outside. The line inside will naturally be shorter. This is a mini-version of what Trader Joe's is doing. Long line outside, no line inside. Also, many stores are requiring masks now. Not mr. Coco. It's unfortunate. I cannot go there during this time unless something changes. Mr. Mango is a similar situation, but bigger store. Note: They are on Postmates, but delivery fee is 10 bucks unfortunately. Then Postmates will charge you a percentage service fee (without warning you), and then of course you have to tip well. I would not recommend this.

Roger C.

Yelp
Believe the hype...Mr. Coco's is an awesome spot to get your produce. Prices are wallet friendly and you're bound to get some great deals, even before you walk into the door. You can get a ton of fresh veggies and fruits for a few bucks (sometimes even just a dollar!); bell peppers, squash, tomatoes, peeled garlic, and a whole lot more. They sell pretty much everything...eggs, cereals, chips, tons of fruits, soaps, vitamins, bread and I could keep going but won't so you peep for yourself. The only con for me is that they do not serve any meat (aside from some cold-cuts and sausages) and they don't sell beer there, so I usually have to walk a to a bodega just around the corner. But Mr. Coco's makes up for it by their prices and friendly staff. Again, their prices will probably throw you off as they're probably some of the lowest that I've seen in the BK or the city. And...they sell a good amount of Asian goods, saving me a trip to say, Chinatown or K-town. Mr. Coco's is a pretty decent walk for me, but for the deals I'm getting it's def worth it.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I think Mr. Coco's is a good option in the neighborhood, but I wish they had more organic produce. If they did I would shop here all the time. I feel like if you don't care about stuff being organic and you're going to eat the produce you buy from them right away, then I think it's a good spot. But I also feel like with their produce, you get what you pay for and it goes bad pretty quickly. I remember a long time ago I used to buy strawberries from them for $1 and then 1/4 of the carton would go bad and I wouldn't care because they were only $1, but if I think about it now, that doesn't sound like very healthy strawberries.

Joanne L.

Yelp
WHAT?? i just did some grocery shopping here, enough fruit and snacks for 3 days, half dozen eggs AND an order of sushi = $10.32??? that's ridiculous. i haven't tried any of the fruit yet so can't speak to their quality or freshness but the sushi was pretty good. i still think the guy must've not charged me for something.

Ivar S.

Yelp
This place is an awesome hole-in-the-wall grocery/convenient store. First of all, that name is silly and super cute. This place honestly had me at the name, just so I could see what it was. And I was pleasantly surprised. A wide variety of fresh produce and a different sale every few days, this is the type of local stores that I sought after in the big city. This is where I go to satisfy my inner "Chopped Champion." I buy whatever veggies and fruits they have on sale (usually from 1-2$) and I make a meal out of it. The discounted produce is usually placed outside. I mean really... 1 dollar for a box of strawberries? Yes. Me want now. I was also surprised at the variety of the products inside. Incredible amounts of healthy green foods i.e. dried fruits, cereals, chips, salsa, pasta, sauce, coffee/tea. Icing for my cake... they sell sushi rolls too. Wait a minute. I can buy most of my hard to find products here, discounted veggies to cook them with, AND a sushi snack? Mr. Coco.... you spoil me.

Pamela S.

Yelp
THANK YOU MR. COCO! We were having a last minute Sunday Brunch and wanted to make a fruit salad. WOW! We were so happy and surprised by the quality and the price. Although the cantoloupe was $1, it was delish. Various other fruits were great too. AND....Clementine Crate for 5 bucks! That is unheard of around here. Thank you a million times. I look forward to frequenting your establishment for years to come.

Jill P.

Yelp
It only just occurred to me to look up Mr. Coco because the Yelp newsletter was talking about local, cheap, yummy produce. And then I got nerdily excited to come here and give Mr. Coco 5 stars. Why? --$1 awesome produce on the curb --everything I need to make delicious, cheap stir-fry, 1 block away --one time I literally filled up my bike helmet with an unreal amount of fruit and vegetable goodies, and uttered a very real "WHAT?!" when they told me it was only $4.10. --one time I let the cashier keep a penny of change, and he remembered and made me take an extra penny the next time I came in. --milk that actually lasts til its expiration date --Greek yogurt!! --cheaper tofu than anywhere else I've found in the neighborhood --$10 Brommer's soap on special this week (vs. $15 at Fairway or $13 at Associated) I hated on this place a little when it first opened, and took my boyfriend on the bougie tour of our new bougie (bourgie?) grocery where we can buy all our bougie necessities, mwaaa. But once you see how awesomely cheap it is, for quality goods? I would be lying if I did not confess true love for the Coco.

Yelp
This is absolutely the place to go for groceries in the ClintonHill area. The owners/counterpeople are extremely nice and friendly. There were a couple occassions when I forgot my wallet and they either let me pay them back later or held my groceries for me til I got back. They were so kind and patient. There are really good deals on veggies/fruits and eggs there. Cheaper than most nearby groceries. They sell beer, cookies, chocolate, a lot of organic and healthy options. Super clean place too! I miss them now that I moved to bedstuy

Yelp
I'm a fan of this place. I moved in right down the street and did a double take one day as I passed the beautiful produce outside. I was getting concerned because there aren't a lot of places in my immediate surroundings to get nice produce but this place looks great. They also have a good selection of chocolate and also my favorite brand of popcorn(this is important.) They also have a nice selection of beer.

Yelp
Great prices on most stuff except for the stuff you can get at a korean grocery store (i.e., kimchee, roasted seaweed packs...), although that doesn't stop me from getting the occasional jar when I'm too lazy to schleppe over to k-town.They're also cheaper than the new korean-run market that just opened up down the street. One thing I hate is that often their ready-to-eat, vegan dumplings are often on the verge of going bad (can smell the rancid oil upon opening the package). Otherwise, this a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Dropped by this bodega that posts signs it doesn't adhere to (gladly, as I didn't have cash and just needed dish soap). Nice, well-laid-out selection and friendly-enough staffers.

Yelp
My experiences have been very positive so far. the prices have been much more reasonable than the other organic market in the neighborhood. Friendly, friendly guy behind the counter. Clean, bright store and yes, they're also open 24 hours.

Yelp
I can't get enough. Interest rose when I found out it wasn't a chain store. The one and only Mr Coco...right here in Clinton Hill. I love you, Mr Coco. But I don't live near you...what's wrong with me? Everything organic, perfect to fuel the vegetarian's wet dreams. The place is tiny but that's why it's cute. Traffic accumulates in the little aisles. (But if it weren't for almost bumping into those oranges maybe you wouldn't have realized that you wanted one?) They have meat products -- the weirdest being ostrich jerky. The prices are always reasonable. They're well organized and always in stock of everything...except one thing. They used to have these belgian waffles that were microwaveable...where they have the frozen food section. They've stopped stocking them... ...but i still love Mr Coco. Friendly staff. Sushi. All types of tea and gourmet snacks. Beautiful canned and packaged food that is also healthy for you. And did I mention they're 24 hours? I will be buried underneath Mr Coco.
