We ordered 2 pizzas over the phone and they said it would be 30mins. We arrive and the pizzas are barely even warm. 1 of our pizzas was the double bacon pizza. Well it also had bell peppers which we didn’t ask for. So they said they can remake it. We wait and they even show my husband the second pizza and he leaves with it. I see it and think maybe the double bacon is under the cheese. Well there was maybe a total of 5/6 tiny bacon pieces on the entire pizza so much for it being. A double bacon when they couldn’t even had the first serving of bacon. Exactly what was on top was what was on our pizza. This pizza is more like a vegetable pizza to which we did not order or pay for, we ordered double bacon for a reason. Edited to add they left off the burger/ground beef as well 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m from Amarillo originally and would visit that location often with my family. This location here in Austin is like night and day. My pizza is always burnt, the box sizes are WAY different and the quality isn’t the same. I know it’s a franchise, but I’ve ordered at this location several times to have some nostalgia from home. But it just disappoints every time. This is a medium, which is crazy small!!!

I was there Sunday to place order and wait... so they only had 2 staff piled with orders so bad that they told customers after my order was taken that it would be no more orders taken for 20 minutes...they were so slammed it was ridiculous and I get it it was only 2 staff... so the guy cutting and boxing had a ponytail up in like a bun did some pretty disturbing things as I waited for 40 minutes instead of 20 for my food... he kept dropping things on the floor no joke and never took anything he picked up to be cleaned...that happened twice...then he got frustrated about something as he was talking to his coworker and this guy rubbed through his hair and down his face and continued to cut and box those pizzas...I waa ready to go at that point... no hair net, no hand washing, no cleaning dishes or devices dropped on floor to prepare food...all the customers that came in to pick up their orders were given longer to wait times... it was crazy and they should consider properly staffing a high trafficed area as this location

We got diarrhea and the food smelled like feet like had smelled the whole house up the manager said it’s not from them it must have been something we ate prior what are the odds we all had pizza one by one we all go to the pooper and the next day still and we will never go back I’d stick with little Cesar over Mr Gattis .

Mr. Joe and his team are amazing ! Everybody was super friendly. I got my pizza on time . And the pizza was cooked perfect & it was delicious! Their new location is so nice & clean!! 10 out of 10 recommend !

Miss the days when a teenager would pull up with a fresh hot pizza in there busted old Honda . Nobody has in house delivery drivers any more it’s all door dash uber and favor. Door dash pizza is cold and requires me to pay by card. Life was better when I could hand a broke teen a 50 and tell them to keep the change.

Ordered my pizza in advance on the website, as I frequently do. Arrived and pizza wasn't even in the oven. Manager claimed that they don't have to start cooking until the requested time. Very rude manager. Other locations don't have this poor service, just here. Wouldn't suggest ever ordering from this location, I know I won't.

Horrible horrible customer service. I ordered their special 3 large 1 topping for 24.99 yesterday 8/28/2020 asked for extra pizza sauce so the pizza wouldn't be dry. Pick it up 1 is completely over sauced and the other 2 dry. I call speak with GENERAL MANAGER AARON who says he will add a credit for 2. Cool. Call today 8/29/2020 so I can get my credited pizza. They read me back my entire order instead of 2 so I was like okay cool. Send my husband to pick it up. Employee there starts to argue with my husband regarding our order and Aaron comes out and ask him "is she gonna call and complain? Are you sure she's not gonna complain" I call myself once my husband gets home and tells me his experience and ask for someone above the general manager and Aaron states his name is bill something. I said so you don't know who is above you? He stated no I just send off emails and reports. Mean while tone the entire time was beyond rude and wanting to argue! This location needs to be shut down or taken over by someone who is going to not argue with a customer and train employees to be professional. I take a look at our pizza they replaces that should have extra sauce and my dam they did such a horrible sloppy job! Beyond disgusted with this location!

This place has the pizza buffet. Very good selections of pizza ! Excellent spaghetti ! Very good salad bar with veggies and desserts. Friendly, hard working employees. They offered to make my pizza of choice for the buffet. Great for the entire family. Have 3 televisions and a party room. Have been eating Gatti's pizza for 36 years !

This is the worst location. The manager, tall Caucasian man the the rudest experience i had. I believe he was the manager,but he was sooooo overwhelmed he did not want to admit. I am a dasher, and he doesn't believe I represent the customer whom I'm picking up for. I was just asking for the ETA on an order,considering I was patient enough and have been waiting for 15min already. He got upset and did not give me the order. This is unprofessional and is not in the restaurant standards!!! In the restaurant industry, it is ALWAYS GUEST FIRST!!!!!! PLEASE ADVISE YOUR STAFF. THE GUESTS PAY YOUR SALARY!!!!!

I suggest not ordering to-go unless you actually see how they're prepping your pizza. No gloves. And on top of that I got an attitude for asking them to use gloves. The other girl still did not put gloves and continue to put her hands into the meat, cheese, etc. Appreciate the other girl who put gloves after I asked her to remake it but suggested her not to waste her time since that food was already contaminated with the other girl putting her hands all in the food anyways. Thank you for Gattitown at southpark meadows for helping us get good, CLEAN, quality food though!

The quality of pizza at this location has dropped TREMENDOUSLY. I order a large two topping pizza. It was over cooked, cardboard crust and the shape of this pizza was distorted. You would have thought two toddlers helped make the shape of this pizza. They need to QC there pizzas before the give it to the customer. I will not make any more purchases from this location.

One star was for the host. She was friendly and worked the left hand station.. lil hispanic woman. But Raw or Ria or Riw or whatever was rude. She came to the register like I wanted something for free. Not at all. I just wanted my supersoni with extra sauce willing to pay because that's what you so as a customer. She needs manager or team leading coaching before she becomes face of the restaurant. Highly disappointed. But loved my pizza as always.

I visited today with my family. The pizzacwas great, the staff friendly and the restaurant clean. We had the buffet and the kitchen staff made us any pizza we wanted. We had a 3 year old and the manager made her a special pizza to take home. I will definitely be back.

Why is it that there are so many poor reviews and no changes to the objective criticisms? This I believe is a franchise store, paying rent and payroll. Making a few changes would increase revenue substantially. This is a good location, bring in families to watch sports etc together. Repaint it, new tables and chairs, new lighting, update fixtures, new ceiling tiles, new appliances. The food needs improvement, of course. The game room is excellent. Make the place a go to place, easy enough.

Run away from this shit hole HORRIBLE customer service and disgusting pizza. I found a piece of card board in my pizza. So I called to speak with management and was greeted by a very rude worker that told me to go fuck myself when I confronted him. So I called the owner and he didn't do anything but try and give us a 20% discount so we will never go there again! So many better pizza places in Austin. P.s. I'm an austin local and I've been going here for many years not anymore. I wish I could post a picture of the cardboard I found in my pizza. If I could give this place negative stars I would!

I placed an order for delivery at 6:08pm, I was told delivery was 45 mins to an hour. After waiting over an hour, I called at 7:20pm, waited over 30 mins on hold. In the meantime, I received a text from gattis at 7:38, saying that my order was canceled because the " assigned dasher was not able to fulfill your order". So I drive to the store because, they had already charged my credit card and I have 2 hungry little ones wanting pizza!! When I arrived, there were a total of 7 employees and one door dash employee and about 4 customers waiting. The phones are ringing off the hook, no one is answering those calls. I ask to speak to a manager, he tells me my order was for "pick up", wrong. I show him my text message. He offers to make me fresh pizzas. Great, however the young man that just had his hands on the boxes, the computer and lord knows what else, digs his hands in the cheese without washing them!!! Nope!! I asked for a refund! No apology from the manager. Here it is 8:20 pm, now I have to find something else for these babies to eat! I am so disgusted with Gattis on William Cannon!

Not happy with this visit at all, my pizza was under cooked and I specifically asked for Extra LIGHT sauce, and the pizza was cold. I had to reheat the pizza in the oven once received. I have been sitting on hold for the past 45 mins, the system keeps saying I am first in line but have yet been able to speak with anyone. This is not acceptable. Very disappointed and definitely not a satisfied customer.

This place was horrible!!! Looking for something quick to eat on our way to San Antonio thought a pizza would be great. Walked in here and it looked like a Heath hazard! Buffet style, pizza was not fresh, salad was old and picked through. The employees were making the pizzas without any gloves or hair nets. Not clean at all, had a half a slice of pizza and walked out. If you see this place drive right by it!

Ordered pizza at about 2:51 this afternoon. It is now 5:42 p.m. and still no pizza. I called the Gattis back around 45 minutes ago and they said Door Dash has it. Manager said I would get pizza fresh...nope. More than 2 hours before Door Dash even picked it up. Seriously, Papa Johns is better off without former CEO who now runs Mr Gattis into the ground. Unbelievable!!!

I used to love Gattis Pizza and the food has been slacking these days. Got home with my order, large pizza (pepperoni, sausage, jalapenos, extra cheese but not really) and a medium order of pepperoni rolls. I hope I don't get sick from eating uncooked pizza dough. Not cooked through. It's been awhile since I ordered the rolls but they gave me half sized rolls (maybe size has changed, idk) which when I bit into the pizza roll...it wasn't even cooked through. Yep... not loving Gattis Pizza these days. Disappointed.

I can last night. Brought my 2 nephews. The lady that took our order was very nice. Kids eat free on Wednesday's. That's cool. The buffet had next to nothing on it the entire time. There were people standing next to the buffet the entire time waiting for to go pizzas and for pizza to be out on the buffet. A man can in with a huge black cat on his shoulder and was walking around. He started touching all the children on the forehead. Then stopped in the back of the place and raised up his hands. A customer went to the counter and told them that a person was in there with a cat and the person said "tell him to leave" the customer replied "I don't work here". This was a terrible experience. It took 10 minutes to get someone's attention to even request a pizza to be out out. And then 10 more to get a pizzas out.

Called this place 5 times. The first time they answered, got my name, and placed me on hold for 5 minutes. They came back on and hung up. I called back while driving there and they answered and hung up again. I called three other times and they didn't answer. At this point I had already arrived and was so aggravated by their horrible customer service that turned around and got Mods pizza instead. How are you going to hang up on me twice and not answer the other times I call?

UPDATE: This place has gotten worse! They stopped answering their phones so your best bet is online ordering! They hung up on me 6 times one night and i went to Pizza Hut instead where i got my order in 15 min. Then another time they hung up on me 4 times which prompted me to make my order in person where i got to see them in action turn the phones down and not answer calls or answer and hang up. Too bad, this place has my favorite pizza but lately their service has literally driven away people. This review is long coming, but today's experience made me write this. I went in asking for a water cup to take medication, she's says "your order is ready" and walks off to get my pizzas. When she comes back I again ask for a water cup she asks me why I need a water cup I say it's for water, she ignores me and goes gets my coke, she comes back I ask her for a third time if I can get a water cup for water, she replied "we don't have disposables". Disposable or not I needed to get a drink of water at that time to take medication she could have given me a restaurant cup for my water. She was very rude and inconsiderate. I ended up having to drink out of my 2-liter coke to take my medicaNot to mention one of my pizzas was cut into 14 tiny slices with hardly any toppings (even though I order and pay for double toppings bc they have a tendency to do this) and another was cut into 6 slices with even less toppings than the first. I'm a long time Gatti's patron but it's becoming hard to come here when I am received with rude customer service and bad tasting pizza.

Wow. This pizza was so sad. It wasn't fully cooked, didn't add on the extras like a requested but of course charged for it. The large probably had 8 pepperoni and about 3/4 full bell peppers and onions, so a bell pepper and onion pizza basically vs. supreme. WILL NOT RETURN PLEASE GET IT TOGETHER!

Place has really gone down hill! It's dirty dirty There is hardly anything on the buffet The workers do t look like they give a crap and look like they just rolled out of bed I picked up a pizza on the way home, just because it's the closet. And I was told 15 minutes... Been here 40 minutes and nothing yet. No one is wearing gloves. Not the people making pizza or cutting the pizza.

Communion Wafer Pizza. Can I just leave it at that, or do you want more? I have NEVER had pizza crust like this...EVER. I know it sounds like I'm being a douche in calling it Communion Wafer Pizza, but that is the only thing that I have ever had that comes close to this crust in taste and texture. This was the first place I ordered delivery from and I was stricken with Post Traumatic Stress for almost 3 months. I just finally got brave enough to try a different pizza place this past week. I will say this for Gattis, the staff was incredibly friendly.

Went here for to pick up and order there. Guy says it's a 20-25 minute wait for pizza. I said ok, I still wanted the pizza. He did give me a free drink while I waited. He also said that, I'll call you when your pizza is ready. He never did and the pizza had sat there for, what he said 5 minutes. Yeah, I won't be going there again for take out pizza

This restaurant has the worst service EVER! We grew up eating Gatti's and love the pizza but this establishment needs to be burned down! It is a total hit and run that the order will be correct, BUT tonight was the end all of ever ordering pizza from here again. I placed an online order at 6:05 pm with a 45 minute delivery time. At 7:30 I call the store to be put on hold...and then get cut off. Call back listen to the recording, someone picks up the line and hangs up. Call back again and someone answers... Thank you for calling Domino's how can I help you... and hangs up. CALL back a 4th time and am told... it's loud in here and I can 't hear you, so I say, go where you can here me. I WAS LEFT ON HOLD FOR OVER 20 MINUTES BEFORE I FINALLY HANG UP. My neighbor was here and calls and get the manager Melvin on the phone... she can get through but I am ignored? I have already been charged for a pizza that is now over 2 hours past the delivery time. WTH!! and the manager is stating he is going to send cash with the driver to reimburse me. I really believe Melvin needs to be taught how to reimburse a credit card. AND finally... a text message is received from door dash that our food will be delivered at 8:25 pm. I live ONE mile from this restaurant and it takes 2.5 hours to be delivered. BTW... it was a THIN pizza.... not hand tossed..... DONE WITH THIS PISS POOR EXCUSE FOR A RESTAURANT!... and congrats for actually getting the jalapeno's ON the pizza this time. Hire people that can read and count. This place is ruining the Gatti reputation.

I ordered dinner at 3pm. I received a notification that it would be 45 minutes for delivery and expect it to arrive at 3:42pm. The store called just after my order was placed they needed to make a substitution. I tried calling them back but I could never reach anyone in the store and kept being routed back to a main call center who would then transfer me back to the store. The substitution did not matter but I did want them to know I had gotten the message. At 3:45pm, I got a text my order was on it's way and would be here in a few minutes. I went out to the front porch to wait. At 4:10pm I got a text from the driver saying they could not find the address. I am less than 3 miles from the store, they are on I35 and William Cannon, I am on the corner of I35 and Stassney. A straight shot from one corner to the other. At 4:30pm, I called the store because at this point, it was an hour and a half and a lost driver going 3 miles on a straight direct delivery. The store did answer the phone this time, and the store told me it had been left on my front porch. I went back outside and the driver had indeed left my order but had not knocked while I was inside on the phone. When I opened my order, it was not what I had ordered. The substituted item was there but the rest of the order was not accurate. After an hour and half of waiting, I decided just to keep it and not bother trying to get it fixed. I received a survey code but when I tried to take the survey, it was a dead link and I am not sure why they even bothered to send an email for a survey.

I ordered 2 medium pizzas for delivery and when I get my pizzas, my Pepperoni pizza looks like it had been juggled in the air or some one careless dropped it in the box the wrong while it was still hot and closed the lid wrong way. It was completely unacceptable how my pizza looked. I call and the manager was very apologetic and polite and credited me for my next order and even up'nd the size to a large instead of a medium. That was the upside and the pizza that was edible was very delicious but the presentation of my Pepperoni pizza was just sloppy and careless.

The reason I'm writing this review is because I'm here on September 28 2019 and I'm giving this place a one star is Because there is about 20 people here and they don't have a lot of pizza for everyone and they only have 2 pizzas out and their fountain machine don't have ice so I wouldn't recommend coming here to eat.

this place needs to be shut down. even before covid-19 hit this place had horrible service. don't expect to be greeted or acknowledged. more then half the staff do not wear masks & the staff who do, are wearing it as a chin guard. no gloves are being worn as they make your pizza. i will never order from this location again.

I've always liked Gatti's pizza and I have been ordering it since Gatti's was called Pizza Place and there were only two locations in Austin. I still like their pizza but the last time I ordered delivery from the Wm. Cannon location it took almost three hours to get delivered!!! And I was never given a reason or an apology. Also, despite telling me I would get a refund that never happened. When I placed the order online at 6:33pm my confirmation email said the delivery would be made in approximately 45 minutes. (This was a Tuesday night). At 8pm I had no pizza and I called to inquire and was told my pizza would be out to me in about 25 minutes due to a "mix up." That seemed fairly self evident but I said ok, hung up and waited. I'm glad I didn't have company to feed. An hour later I called and spoke to a rude, argumentative young woman who offered no apology nor explanation but did promise a refund and discount coupons or something. Basically, it wasn't coupons or free pizza I wanted but a reasonable explanation and apology and some evidence that this store has someone actually running it with a little bit of customer service skill. Why did no one, in over 2 1/2 hours, ever call me to advise of a delay and give me the option to cancel my order or wait? And why never an apology? When the pizza arrived I was still on the phone with the argumentative young woman who was more interested in talking over me on the telephone than in finding a solution and giving me a reasonable explanation and an apology. I wasn't looking for free pizza. I wanted some degree of competent customer service. I have been ordering from this location since 2003 and from Gatti's since the 1970's! I'm a loyal customer who was treated like dirt. Who's minding the store at the William Cannon location!?? I took the pizza from the delivery person and I later discovered he had tossed Parmesan cheese all over my vehicle windshield. I suppose because I didn't tip him he was angry. Why would I tip for a pizza delivered at after 9pm (!) that took 2 1/2 hours to get to me with no explanation, no call, no apology!? What!? Get it together Gatti's! We have a new pizza restaurant near where I live. I plan to try it soon. Guess I'll be divorcing Gatti's. Sayonara Gatti's.

Ok, I don't get it. Every location of Gatti's I have been to is the same. They are all messy places, the buffet is ALWAYS empty and you have to wait for the food to be place on the buffet line. Once the food is put back out, you then you have to fight over the pizza's like a bunch of vultures fighting over a freshly squashed roadkill. The pizza is nothing to brag about and every location I have been to have all been dirty and is crawling with little kids climbing over everything and putting there fingers on all the food. I have giving Gatti's a few chances to see if some locations are better than others and I have come to the conclusion that, they are all the same. Only thing I can recommend about this Gatti's location, and all of the others is to simply, just stay away!

In summary, this place TOTALLY SUCKED!!!! The order was supposed to be here in 45 minutes, but didn't come until another 45 minutes later. And when I called, I was put on hold by one guy and then passed on to someone else after a few minutes. And when the pizza arrived it was luke warm, at best. Ditto for the garlic sticks and cinnamon sticks we ordered. I also ordered a salad, but they forgot to include the salad dressing in the bag. And there was no silverware for the salad which should be a no-brainer when delivering to a hotel, right? The one positive was the driver who seemed really friendly. But that's not even close to being enough for me to ever eat at this place again.

If you want poor service with an attitude this is the place to go. You will be treated with an attitude of indifference and a total lack of concern that you are a customer. I addition you can count on burnt pizza.

I've always loved Gatti's pizza and haven't had any complaints about any other location I've either dined at or had a pizza delivered from. But the William Cannon location is definitely not on that list. I've ordered from this location for a few years now and at first there was no problem but lately it seems I'm just hoping I actually receive my order. Placed an order earlier tonight of a large "meat market" pizza with an order of pizza rolls and it took over two hours to be delivered and when it got here it was cold and no marinara sauce. Seems like they just grab a pizza that's been sitting for a while and put it in a box and deliver it. Honestly I'm kinda glad that I even received my order cause there's been a few times I didn't receive anything not even a phone call to explain what happened. Granted I know they close at 10pm and sometimes I place an order in at 9pm but that doesn't mean I shouldn't receive my order. Can't remember the managers name who I spoke to when I called but he straight up lied to me and said he tried to call me when i know for a fact he didn't because I had my phone on me the whole time and it never rung. It just seems like the employees at this location just plain don't care about customers which is sad because Mr.Gattis has great pizza and I like eating some but honestly this location is making me question whether or not I wanna keep giving Gattis my business
