Best place for your grocery. Offers the cheapest prices for daily needs. Now some might say they might overcharge you, the reason is they update the price every day. And since they have to remember all the prices in their head sometimes mistakes might occur. There is more than 200-300 types of produce which are not scannable. Please correct them if they are wrong. Who sells strawberries/avocados/raspberries for a dollar or 2? Amazing

My GO-TO for fresh, adorable produce. This place has basically everything you need- great selection for their small size. Try the Turtle Chips in the snack section. Mr Kale is my favorite place to shop in CH

I always get my produce from this store. For fruits and vegetables, the pricing is unmatched. I frequently found a container of strawberries for a dollar last winter. It is always entertaining to discover a few random products significantly discounted inside the store. Alcohol is also available in the back of the store, along with Asian products in the freezer and the fridge next to the produce.

the overcharging is real!! stopped by on a walk, enticed by the cheap produce out front but they definitely overcharged me (and it sounds like others, frequently??) - not cool for cheaply advertised, on the verge of and sometimes moldy produce!! my most charitable take would be that perhaps they’re misremembering…but..that is a *lot* of misremembering that benefits the store relying on customers not to notice/care and it’s a pretty bad look. if you want to overcharge people, just charge more!!! so many more enticing and honest produce bodegas elsewhere

It’s impossible to shop here because half the store is on a very busy sidewalk and the other half has very little walking room. You can’t really browse around. Produce is 50/50. Sometimes cheap sometimes not. Flowers are priced good but in a tiny area. Everything else is priced like a deli in the Hamptons. Then they have a bunch of plant based products no one ever buys and always out of stock in the few meats they do carry (only ground meats, hot dogs, and bacon so it’s all processed).

The cashiers need to start paying attention to their customers during checkout and stop talking to one another in their native language. As a customer, this does not make me feel welcome.

I don’t know what I would do without this place. They always have amazing specials on fresh produce. I’m talking organic cherry tomatoes for one dollar, avocados for a dollar, and they have affordable eggs as well. Not to mention the people that work here are incredibly kind! I love this place.

Great prices on produce! Wish there was a way of knowing what they have available in advance!

I was so excited to find this place. 24 hour bodegas with this selection are few and far between. But tonight as I was going fir a late night milk run, I was disgusted to see rats crawling all over the outdoor produce. I'm not sure if they're in the store as well. but having a hoard of rats chowing own on your vegetables right outside your front door is enough to turn me away. Gross.

God this place is fantastic for cheap random produce outside. A massive bundle of eucalyptus for $6 and coconut water for 3.99. Again, most other things you're paying a premium for but the produce outside and the deal section inside is top tier. It's why I find myself inside of Mr.Kale 5ish times a week.

At first I was skeptical when a grocery store replaced a grocery store... but then I saw the PRICES Thank You Team For coming to Franklin Ave Mr (Vegetable) is a local chain that has more than a few branches I've come across in other BK neighborhoods like Fort Greene and Bedstuy. I've never really taken the time to stop by and see all the fuss, but over the years I have noticed them sprinkled around Turns out their specialty is low cost produce, out in the open very old-NY style. Has a fruit vendor kind of feel and I'm all for it. HUGE range of plants. Even have yucca and plantains for my Caribbean fam I use to really enjoy supporting some other local grocers nearby but will be spreading the love to Mr Kale for sure Inside they have all the other standard items you'd expect from a grocery or bodega. Some munchies, packaged food like pastas and cereals, home goods like soap, plenty of drinks, etc. It's a compact space so it's not the most in-depth, but solid. For me the produce is the all star and what I'll be coming back for. Great job on the layout and little graffiti detail on the ceiling. Congrats team

They sell bad produce. Their fruit has been badly frozen and unfrozen and is completely inedible. A total ripoff. Avoid.

I love these Mr. Fruit Korean grocers and this one is no exception! Amazing prices on produce out front, like 3 for $1 zucchini, $1 salad mix, $1 avocados, and even $1 asparagus. Sure, sometimes the veggies look a little older but often, they're just as fresh as in a regular grocery store. Friendly staff, a great selection of fruits and vegetables, and all your typical bodega items inside.

Amazing prices and selection I love this place now!! I do wish they'd get my fav Caesar dressing from Primal Kitchen, Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt, carrot/orange juice, and Stok cold brew. But otherwise Mr. Kale is perfect and a great addition to the block!!!

You sold me an opened Bruce Cost blood orange drink. It spilled all over my other items including cookies I purchased. And you don't even have a phone number available to call the store.

So excited to see Mr Kale on Franklin Ave! I loved buying fruits and vegetables from Mr Lime in Park Slope. It seems Mr Kale is just as good with its wide variety and affordable prices. Will definitely be coming back frequently.
