Cashier makes you wait until she’s don’t serving all orders, needs more employees. System was down for debit card. Waited 30 min to get in front of the line just so I can get cut by all the people who’s card didn’t go through. Next time put cash only.

FIRST TIME. 04/14/2024. FOOD TRUCK Ordered my menudos (2) with Grano(hominy). Smelled great, lots of people. Got home poured it into a dish. Completely disappointed. There was hardly any menudo, it was all grano. Drove back and spoke to lady who helped me to which she responded by stating, "that is how it served". I presented what I purchased back at the counter and proceeded to ask for a refund. She then pointed to a printed out piece of paper that read. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. What a ripoff. I then remembered how she attempted to charge me $ 56.00 for my two plates, and when I asked her why, she immediately responded by stating something about Taxes and service fee. I responded by pointing out that the large plate was only 16.50, and that the price range for two should be somewhere 38-39 dollars. She hesitated and then admitted to doing the math in her head and continued by correcting my bill. The bill came out to 38.00, Too high a price for grano and Very little menudo. Felt ripped-off, will not come back.

I came here after all the hype they had about this place so I decided to give it a try. The menudo is pretty decent it's very good honestly So if you want Menudo this is one of the places to try! The gordita de Chicharron wasn't as good it was cold and a little stale ill give it a 4/10. The tacos de birra were yummy and tasty. The service was good they didn't take long to be honest Im actually planning to come back next week. Ah they also have a small table to eat on the spot it's pretty nice to just be able to get out the house and enjoy a bite in this place. Overall I give this place a 7/10

We ordered the Menudo, it was alright, we also ordered micheladas. We asked the waitress if she made them she said no. They were HORRIBLE the worst we ever tried. I asked the waitress to take it back but she said she wouldn't take it off our bill. I asked her to try to fix it but No fixing how ugly it was. So we ate what we had and paid our bill. Wasn't worth it at all. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

Food was good , the only thing I didn't like was if your going to eat there, they only have two small tables to eat and they give you the food in containers to go .

Service was great. Unfortunately the food was not good. Menudo was lacking flavor and the birria was not good. I had an order of chilaquiles those were good.

I wish I took a pic of the food! BUT I was sooo hungry and ate it in the car, the situation made it hard to take pics with my menudo bowl. Lol Mr. Menudo definitely deserves the name, their menudo is chefs kiss ‍ I had a small menudo bowl with hominy that came with, cilantro, onion, tortilla, lemon and chilli oil. Now, add in whatever you want but do not forget that chilli oil! The menudo was already great on its own but adding that chilli oil made it even more delicious! The tripe was cooked very well and the broth has a very good tasty flavorful. I would definitely come here again and probably get the large menudo bowl. Don't get fooled by the location, this food truck is worth the try!

I visited the Downey location today with my daughters. We were welcomed with excellent customer service. We had delicious cafe de la olla and you must try the chilaquiles. We ordered both green and red salsa. Delicious !!! The ambiance was nice and very welcoming. The owner stopped by our table to welcome us as well. Our first time going to the restaurant, but definitely not our last

They should improve the service, 30 minutes in the line to order and then 1 hour to get your food so crazy y will never go back !!

I've never had menudo where you had to REQUEST the hominy - and for an extra charge! The menudo itself was mediocre. Wouldn't order again.

I visited this place on Whittier Blvd. in the city of Whittier. No exaggeration, it took 25-30 mins for my small menudo! I am upset that it cost me almost 13$ and it is NOT even good! I live 5 mins away and it was barely room temperature when I got home. Smh. It does not taste fresh and it has NO flavor.

Menudo was delicious, just like I wanted it , hominy and broth ( no meat) . The girl working the food truck in Whittier on Friday August 18 was super friendly. I was the only there at the time, I got my menudo pretty quick. Thank you. Will definitely be returning.

I ordered a small menudo from the one in Bellflower and it brought me back to my childhood! Just like my tios used to make it. Lots of good memories and good food. Will definitely come back!

It wasnt that good. Nothing like Tacos Guadalajar, in Downey. Best Menudo ever. And customer service here was crappy. I stand by, my comment. Customer service could have been much better.

I finally was able to try this place after living in CPT for 5 years. Everything was just perfect! This is what my vibe is!! 1. Great Customer Service 2. Clean Truck 3. Staff presentable 4. Everyone had Gloves Food. 1. Great taste 2. Good amount of everything 3. Tortillas are bomb!!!! 4. Great presentation: Condiments properly sealed. Overall a great experience. Happy finally found something good in CPT cause everything else is not good at all.

I gave this place a second chance n no I it looked like I order a pozole instead of menudo n the tortillas all bad i know they dnt care if I go or not but just my opinion

All great!!! I loved it, I bought my own pot and it was so good!!! I do not like the mazsa (the corn) and I was able to get it without the corn and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back there!!!the service was great considering it is a food truck

Best menudo ever with maiz. It taste like my Mommas menudo. Like WOW it's not stinky at all. I had very stinky menudo elsewhere. But at Mr.Menudo it's amazing. The tortillas recien hechas delicious. I'm from oc and I will drive out to compton to mr.menudo just for a delicious bowl if menudo

Menudo was given to me cold and it wasn't even good. Over priced and not worth it. I don't mind paying the price if the food is worth it but it wasn't and another thing the owner has very bad customer service. I walked up to order my food he basically just looked at me and said what. Never again.

Absolutely delicious. You don't have to wait til the weekend to get your menudo fix. Served with warm tortillas and all its trimmings. From Compton to East Los definitely recommending #mr.menudoficial. Thursday mornings make sure you go by Whittier Blvd. and stop by #mr.menudoficial. and get your menudito calientito.

I have to admit never been to this restaurant,food truck but by the comments and the service and they way the business owner responds is disgusting. No customer service professionalisim . All he says you don't like oh well or we don't care for your business. Mr, menudo your a straight piece of shit trash

Not good, I ordered from Uber eats, my order was completely wrong. I ordered chilaquiles with egg; menudo, an asada taco and a gordita de chicharrón. I got chilaquiles with no egg ( that I paid extra for), 2 birria tacos and 1 quesabirria. Food was not good. Tried calling to have my order fixed and there was no answer. Will not be returning.

Menudo was tasty. (Attention) when you order THOUGH you have to be specific. You have to say hominy, tripe, and or bone because if you don't they only give you broth seriously Crazy considering menudo means tripe and hominy. If I want broth I will and it won't be for 14$$

It was our first time going here and the service was disappointing. Make sure you get what you paid for. My husband ordered to go. Took our own pot to avoid wasting the containers. My husband clearly asked how much it would be for the menudo and pata in the pot they said $30. When he gets home there's no pata and one piece of nervio. This was the owners response. Making it seem like we needed to pay extra to get what we wanted he did us a favor by adding their nervio (which was literally one piece that was half broken into two) instead of apologizing for their mess up. When mom and pop shops starting getting hype they start lacking on their service and this is what's clearly happening here. Update: My nephew asked me to give them another try since he knows "mr. menudo" and they blocked me after telling them they didn't give me what I paid for. No pues wow.

I ended up finding out this place on Instagram and decided to give it a try. Yes, it is a bit pricey but it's worth the money! The menudo is not greasy like other restaurants. It has a great texture and seasoned with perfection. The meat is not hard to chew which means it was made that day nor is it from the can. The chile de aceite they give you on the side is delicious and super spicy and it makes the menudo taste even better! I stay thinking about their chile de aceite all the time. It's so good.

I visit this place today because I heard great reviews on the menudo. I ordered a large Menudo with pata turns out they only gave me pata and hardly any meat. I didn't go back because of the drive but it was very disappointing for what I got and what I paid for.

First off...there are some days, other than the holidays when I'm craving some homemade menudo. SATURDAY was one of those days. I made the pilgrimage to the city of Compton to try what has been touted as THE best menudo around!!! And you what?... it is! Now don't get me wrong ,it's kinda hard to beat my mother in laws homemade menudo that she makes religiously during the holidays . But honestly this menudo is really good! The service is friendly and efficient and the staff (Familia) that runs this business takes pride in not only their food but their service. The menudo piece are clean...the pride and craftsmanship that goes into quality of the menudo from every step truly shows. The broth that comes with it is perfectly seasoned! The menudo as a whole is top shelf. Every spoonful is consistent and flavorful as the last. I cannot rave enough about this menudo. A true testament to the quality of this bowl of deliciousness comes with a seal of approval from my mother in law. She raves about it now. Gracias Mr Menudo Oficial!!! They have ok menudo .. the bad part is they take so long to take your order n get your food .. menudo is all they serve it should be faster service .

Come early and bring your ollas! I've been here a few times now and it has slowly become my new menudo spot! The meat is super clean & the broth is so flavorful!! There is sometimes a line, but just get there early and you won't have to wait too long!

This message is for the owner. Instead of you telling people how long you have been in business address their concerns. Peoples opinion are just that, opinions. I must say that out of all menudos I have eaten yours lack flavor and just not very good in my opinion. There is a theme and you should address it, the menudo has no flavor and go from there. Do not take it personally but like a boss and own it. You are trying to build your business that means adding to your customer base. Good Luck.

How do I start, I love menudo one of my favorite dishes/soups(Mexican) I came across Mr Menudo and another Menudo spot in Bell(not gonna mention the name) so I decided to give both of them a try. The first spot in Bell not only was it expensive for a plate the grano was over cooked the menudo broth didn't have any flavor at all, and I added cebolla,oregano,lemon i ended up adding salt. I was disappointed and a bit upset because it was pricey. so a couple of weeks later I decided to try Mr.Menudo on Atlantic in Compton, let me tell you guys that menudo was delicious the flavor in the broth was perfect, I didn't even add the condiments and it was bomb. (Trust me I'm not getting paid for this review) but would like a discount lol J/K. The price is about right , I wished they had an option of bolillo instead of tortilla some of us Mexicans from chihuahua eat it with toasted bolillo but that's ok. What matter was how good Mr Menudo is. A week later I went back and double the order so I can take some to work the next day . Hands down delicious menudo

Review of the new Los Angeles food sensation Mr. Menudo, located in Compton, CA. This was a new experience for us here at Destination Yelp as we always thought the best menudo would be found in a restaurant somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Well, we found an outdoor spot, with enough flavor and quality ingredients that packed more punch than a stick of dynamite. We are so pleased to have found a new "go-to" place for Menudo. Quality ingredients, service, and overall taste. Location is conveniently located off the freeway, with plenty of parking and fast and efficient service. This is the best menudo to date. I went with my bf and he ordered menudo and I ordered chilaquiles with birria. Paid $17 for the chilaquiles with birria and they came with no birria. The chilaquiles weren't any good, had to throw them away. Tasted like nothing but sauce and watery. My bf raves about the menudo but he also tasted the chilaquiles and said they weren't good. ohh and the wait was ridiculous....

Customer service is lacking. Guy seemed bothered by any questions we had. Ordered 2 large menudos...mostly broth which was lacking salt and flavor, very few pieces of the meat almost none. Then we didnt know u have to ask for honiny on the side. Went back to get some, it was flavorless and I know hominy is basic but when we make it it sits in the caldo and has taste and flavor this was just like straight from the can. Then half way through my husband finds a hair in his caldo!! Never again. Find another spot. It's all hype.

Every time I find myself close to Mr.Menudo and it's early in the day, this is our go to. Growing up in a home where the only "good" menudo was my grandmothers, he definitely gives her a run for her money. The menudo is clean and tasty. Con: it's cash only, they really should consider other payment methods, as most people hardly carry cash now a days. Also, it's on a very busy street, so I would consider getting there early to beat the traffic as much as you can.

SCAMMERS!! Please be careful with this place. I sent my husband out here for the first time and some snobby male cashier tried acting slick with my husband when it came to giving his change back. They'll give you the wrong change and keep the rest. On top of that they robbed us from our order by messing it up. I called to express my frustration and the guy that answered the phone gave no crap whatsoever. Will never go back there again. 30 minute wait for some menudo is ridiculous!

Menudo is very delicious but they put a lot of granos like it's half of the portion. I ordered a small menudo with pata and pata takes space on top of that they put a lot of granos and barely any caldo. If you like a lot of granos then enjoy. I'll be back but I will definitely ask for light on granos.

Menudo is so flavorful and tender.. best menudo ive tried so far. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Its not all bland and boring like most menudo places. Solo falta que las tortillas sean a mano pero the ones they give are pretty soft and good so that makes up for it. Definitely recommend it!

Mr menudo never disappoints and actually tastes like it's always getting better they have a new spicy chili oil which I will include a picture of u only need a small amount to spice it up now I know why we got one container for two large orders spicy food stuff! Keep up the hard work everything is great the tortillas, onions, oregano and chili flakes in self serve packets, i can't wait to go back soon thanks for serving the people! I have only been there twice, both times got it to go. They take too long to give you what you ordered even if there isn't a lot of people. The first time I didn't get condiments only a pack of oregano. The second time I got 3 tortillas stucked to each other and the aluminum foil as if they had been rolled for days.

One of the best Menudo Ive had. When I don't have to add lemon I know it's good. You can get it with grano or without it or with pata or sin pata. We always go with grano no pata and it's very flavor minus all the grease like in some other places. I'm picky worth my menudo so if they're not loaded, I won't have menudo from somewhere else.

priced at 8 bucks for a small and 11 for a large, its not too bad, but not that good either. I follow them in the gram and had always wanted a sample. the broth left me hanging for some more flavor and some salt. also, the menudo wasn't scorching hot when I got it. with those two strikes, I unfortunately have to rate this a 3.5 star Menudo. :(

This is the best place to come and eat local Mexican food especially of you have a rough night of party come down its fresh it's highly recommended

Excellent tasting Menudo. This spot is the BOMB!! I truly recommend this spot for anyone that loves menudo. Its hard to find a good place that knows how to make a great menudo.

I love this place and their service. The menudo is clean pieces of tripe are cut evenly so you know the take time to prepare it. Owners are friendly and attentive to customers.

Sucks to pay over 20 dllrs for a door dash order and they never get the order right. Please make sure you check your door dash menu!! I asked 3 times for the same item and you always tell me "oh next time" and all the time my order is wrong. Last time I buy from here, menudo is good don't get me wrong but I don't feel like the appreciate my business when it comes down to getting it delivered. Wich it sucks cause they should make sure every order is right just as if I was in person!!
