"For that go-to late night slice of pie, head to Mr. Mike’s where $2.50 gets a slice of cheese pizza and $11.00 gets a whole pie. Stay for craft beers, wings and good vibes because this 25-year-old Burlington stalwart eatery stays open until 3 a.m. on weekends." - Heather Platt

Super cool spot in downtown Burlington on Main St one block off from Church Street’s fun. Very nice chill atmosphere with solid service and yummy bar food options along with their signature pizza, good drinks and beer options on tap and others. Known for their pizza but I tend to do sandwiches and bar food type appetizers most often 🤙 I have to say its the staff/service that keeps me coming back. They've been great for my visits

Nick Papleacos

Google
Great pizza at moderate prices. Very casual and geared more to a younger crowd. Of course, at 70 everyone is younger. Like one of the previous reviewers said, it is a dive bar. (Meant as a compliment). I would go back. Staff was very friendly.

Mark Kuprych

Google
So sorry to do this; Mr. Mike’s in Burlington hit a new low on my visit. 35 minute wait for a sausage sub. I had to go find the counter girl twice. They apparently never put it in or checked status for my order. FINALLY got it and another disappointment- no more real sausage, Mr. Mikes now shaves a cooked sausage into bacon-thin slices and hides that in what is primarily a red sauce sandwich. $13 for a sauce hero. JFC. And I left a good tip… cannot recommend anyone going to Mr. Mike’s anymore, there’s no ownership, it’s all temp, part time cooks and counter staff with no responsibility other than just showing up. Used to be so good….

Google
Food is great. I have been calling all day and calls have gone through but when it gets picked up no one responds and then they hang up after a few seconds. Very frustrating.

James Grant

Google
Consistently good food and good value. If I’m ordering pizza this is where I’ll go. Nothing outstanding but it’s hot and it’s ready.

Keith Schnell

Google
This is among the best pizza in Vermont, and certainly the best for the money: only at your high end restaurants are you going to get something like this. It isn't your typical soggy bread small town pizza. Atmosphere is the perfect corner dive bar, and the staff do a great job and are very quick.

Celia

Google
Hi! Very nice staff, but please add more sauce to your pizza-it tastes like I’m eating cheese on bread. It’ll add depth to flavor!

Monday is the day to go random pizzas appear in the cabinet not on the menu and good new tastes

Abbi F.

Yelp
This place is so good! Every time I eat here, the food is hot, the service is quick, and everything is delicious. The ambience is cool, a quiet spot to grab a drink or a late night bite. Can't recommend this place enough, a great spot to grab a slice (and everything else on the menu).

David C.

Yelp
What a good spot. I have to say it's my favourite thing in Burlington. It'll fix my empty stomach, heighten my mood. to me its the closet thing to ones highest form of enlightenment. On a good day I go to bed and dream about the buffalo and barbecue pizza. I've been many times and I have never had a pizza that was not the perfect balance of hot, crispy and tasty. Thin crust has never been better. Service has never faster. Even with a line out the door I close my eyes and I'm sitting on those nice wooden chairs looking out the window with joy. I will never forget about Mr mikes I live it and I love it.

Danielle J.

Yelp
Daughter insisted we had to go here. Said it was the best she's had (other than NY/NJ pizza). We went Friday night. Ordered a cheese pizza and garlic knots. The pizza sauce was decent, good cheese to sauce recipe, but felt the crust was way too doughy. The garlic knots were delicious and fresh from the oven

Jillian W.

Yelp
It was amazing food and the cheese steak sandwich was so good. While you you were waiting for your food you could play pool or play your own music on the jukebox. Overall it was a great experience and I would go back.

Linda G.

Yelp
Hey Mr Mikes - On your door at your store in Burlington VT, it says you close at 1 am. Went by there today and it was closed at 12:15. I know your website says it closes earlier, but based on the sign on the door it should have been open. What's up? Bummer when you think you are going to get pizza and then you get left out in the cold.

Abby W.

Yelp
After walking around Burlington, I knew that I wanted a bite of something before continuing on the road to Albany. After looking at several restaurants and finding them closed, I came upon Mr. Mike's, which was closed indoors but serving through their walk-up window. I chose to get a slice of pesto pizza and it was pretty good. I'm usually not a fan of thin crust pizzas but the pesto definitely brought this pizza to life.

Kara M.

Yelp
I stopped in here with a friend while visiting Burlington. Being a New Yorker for most of my life, I'm a bit picky about pizza and I don't usually like to order it by the slice, but we did. I was excited to see that they had Vermont made Citizen Cider Dirty Mayor, so yummy and I highly recommend. Employees were friendly and efficient, but the tables could have used a bit of cleaning. There is a small bar area towards the back of the restaurant. Pizza was average and nothing special. I guess it's hard to really judge accurately when you are having a reheated slice, but I have been to a couple of the other pizza joints up here over the last few years. I prefer Ken's or Juniors over this one. The food here probably tastes even better on a cold night after you have a few brews in you!

Beth D.

Yelp
Yes the Unfortunately they stopped selling strombolis and other items from their menu and only serves slices of pizza after 10:00 10:30 which is wildly inconvenient and absolutely senseless for us people that are not simply drunken college students looking to feed myself for whatever change left in my pocket specially being downtown Burlington I think people should consider when talking about the decline of cities and places such as what's taking place in Burlington also has as much to do with businesses and their practices and the way that they handle themselves as well as the problems that you mainly see complained and constantly brought to your attention by throwing it in your face as if that is the sum of all evils and the sole reason behind the decline of a town or city as a whole . Nor do I think that they mention that anywhere so you would only stumble upon that information after spending the time and effort into getting together your order and making your way there to be sadly disappointed . I will say while the strombolis are amazing I was awful upset that being told that as far as the condiments or items that I could have in my stromboli were limited to I believe two meats and maybe two vegetables only one of which I actually care anything for you would think that being a pizza place there would be multiple choices and it wouldn't be difficult to stuff some toppings inside the dough with the cheese though I understand that might be asking too much for a downtown restaurant that's targeted to tourist for primary source of revenue

Yelp
Mister Mike's goes above and beyond every time! Their pizza is one of my favorites in Burlington, and their staff is some of the friendliest and nicest people in food service! If they make a mistake, they are so easy to work with and do everything they can to make it better, I couldn't recommend them more. Get it by the slice, get it delivered, just get yourself some great pizza!

Kyle T.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite pizza place in the Burlington area, prices really aren't that bad either. Pizza is always at least a solo 8/1 stretchy cheese, soft crust I guess the only thing I could complain about is the younger girl working towards closing ever really isn't too friendly.

J L.

Yelp
Check your receipt and make sure you are not being over-charged which is what happened to us. It got ugly when we called them on it. They are very dishonest. The customer service is just awful! The pizza was ok but on the greasy side. I would not go back again.

Mayra D.

Yelp
PizZa by the Slice and Perfect Crust! I walked up to Mr.Mikes as their dining room was closed. I got Buffalo chicken pizza slice and a beer. I will definitely visit again!

Susie T.

Yelp
Simple pizza shop that sells by the slice or pie! They have a seating area in the front and a pool table in the back of the restaurant. The slices are decent. Not the best pizza in the area but it is a great place to swing by and grab a slice with a drink.

Michael F.

Yelp
Hits the spot, I can't stop thinking abt the body on top of the roof tho, but damn this really is good. Kinda messy, but that's the price u gotta pay I guess. I guzzled down my sandwich in no time.

Torrie F.

Yelp
I've lived in four states and I can honestly say that Mr. Mike's Pizza is the best freaking pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life. A night out is never complete without a slice of Mr. Mike's (or 3) at the end. They are quick, sanitary, and the slices are massive given the low price. They are great for takeout but if you want to sit and chill they have plenty of space to relax with your friends and listen to music, and they also serve beer which is cool. Whenever I go visit my parents in Upstate New York they ask me to bring SEVERAL entire pies specifically from Mr. Mike's on my 3 hr drive back. That's how good it is. If you haven't had Mr. Mike's you are seriously missing out on the best pizza orgasm of your life.

Sean F.

Yelp
The wings were decent. Not the best in town but not awful. Don't think I will get wings at mr mikes again. I'll stick to the pizza here.

Jacqui P.

Yelp
I had the philly cheese steak. REALLY good and hot/fresh. Highly recommend! The only downside: Pepsi products, not coke.

Mia M.

Yelp
Work up the street from them and it is by far the best pizza in town. Just tried the BBQ Chicken and it is amazing.

Brian C.

Yelp
Pizza and good beer. Is there much else better? I've gotten a bunch of the different slices they have to offer but the pepperoni, BBQ chicken and pesto are standouts. Quick and easy, moderately priced and the way that pizza should be. Thin, foldable and delicious. Couple that with a decent tap list and it's good for a quick bite and a beer before a show or if you are hoping to grab an afternoon slice snack to go.

Danielle R.

Yelp
A solid place to come when you are wasted and need pizza or if you want to get wasted with some pizza. I have only been for the former. While I always wake up with some serious heartburn in the morning I am always happy the night before. They have a bunch of different kinds of pizzas but I always stick to pepperoni. You can't go wrong with pepperoni pizza. There are tables and counters there so you can sit with your food and drink as well. The prices are great for poor college kids. Very decent. The bathrooms are awful. If you have to go you can but if you can hold it do so and wait u too you get home.

Carson T.

Yelp
We ordered our pizza and wings from Eat Street. The service was commendable. Our food arrived quickly and before we had expected it to. In terms of quality and taste, the pizza toppings were top-notch and the sauce was drizzled onto the pizza in near-perfect amounts. However, the crust did contain several bubbles which subtracted from my eating experience. Approximately one whole slice of pizza was sacrificed to the bubbly nature of the crust (pictures included). Additionally, the wings were incredibly spice-dominant rather than drenched in sauce, which provided a unique and rich taste. Altogether, i was very pleased with both the eating experience and the service/price.

Derby M.

Yelp
Great music, hospitable hostess, entertaining locals. I'll be returning for more than just the slice(which was perfectly tongue-burning enough to punish my haste, but not to leave a lasting pain)

Dude M.

Yelp
Great peetz! Open late. Don't miss out. Lots of fun options. If you want a luxurious piece of peetz, come here. Also for the classics. Really don't miss out! The line is fun to wait in at 2 am.

Nicole G.

Yelp
The craving for pizza can hit at the most random times, this was one such incident. The guy at register was friendly and seemed pretty cool. I had ordered a large pepperoni, light sauce and extra cheese. The pizza was hot, cheesy and really hit the spot. Not sure if the pizza was actually light sauce/ extra cheese. Regardless, it was still good!

John D.

Yelp
Honestly always slept on Mike's for Burlington pizza, and now I know that was a mistake. Since the COVID-19 pandemic I've been getting my essential employees lunch every Friday and Mikes has become the most requested spot. Great, abundant toppings, not too greasy, and flavorful crust, meat, and veggies. Reasonable pricing for downtown. As I'm writing this I am completely full after 2 slices. Have yet to try some of their non-pizza menu, but I highly recommend this joint for Takeout and Burlington delivery.

Jamal J.

Yelp
The place is an isht hole, but if you can look past that it's a 5 Star pizza. Girlfriend said it's the best pizza she ever had in her entire life and we had to come back here several times. She was rubbing her belly all the way home like a little piggy. Oink oink. The crust is thin and crunchy, and the pizzas are of good variety. The dough is good and overall a spot worth visiting for a slice at any time of the day!

Scott C.

Yelp
Went here to try a slice on a recommendation from a coworker...I was told it was a "hole in the wall," and not to be fooled by appearances. The interior was nice enough and had a college feel- the two slices we sampled were crisp, hot, and filled with flavor. The music they were playing at the time was also our jam, so that was a great treat. All in all, some of the best pizza by the slice in Burlington!

Jess P.

Yelp
YUMMMMM! Pesto pizza here is GREATTTT! everything else we had was too but we spent the whole next day talking about the pesto. Nicely done. Cool place! Open super late. Quick service even with a crowd.

Travis L.

Yelp
Mr mikes pizza was very good... I highly recommend to anyone in the area that is looking for a good slice.

Paul D.

Yelp
Terrible pizza, greasy chicken fingers can't qualify as New York style pizza. Staff also thinks they're running a night club. 0/10 would not recommend to a friend (unless you're dying and need food)

Yem Ily S.

Yelp
Incredible experience at Mr Mikes tonight. The service was timely and very polite. My bartender Josh was cordial and professional. Pizza was top notch and local beer selection you can't beat.

Katie G.

Yelp
I ordered ranch and the bartender (man with long, light colored hair) charged me for ranch, I didn't get ranch. Not to be an asshole but he was clearly very high, every single person in my group commented on it and it was obvious he was struggling to take complex orders, lagging on things, and generally having a hard time. I've smoked before, it's literally SO obvious and my night was ruined. I was charged for something I didn't get and I wasn't going to spend the money to uber back to get fucking ranch. Fire people who come to work high, not sorry. It's not cool and I wish I didn't tip but i gave a large tip to the trash person who charged me for something I didn't recieve. I am so unsatisfied and I will throw a giant fit if i get charged for condiments the next time I come in. I will also not hesitate to get the manager involved next time the employee taking orders is visibly high.

Heidi C.

Yelp
I am sitting here hungry and craving Mr. Mike's pizza. I could pretty much have anything to eat right now (within the Burlington area that's available at this in-between time) but that's what I want. It's not that Mr. Mike's pizza is the best pizza in the world, but it's pretty damn good NYC-style pizza for the Burlington area. When in a pizza pinch there are generally a few places I tend to go: 1. Panacea Pizza (where I go most the time for a slice or two to bring home) 2. Veritas (when I want to go out for a sit down pizza meal) 3. Flatbread (ditto) 4. Junior's (take out) 5. Mr. Mike's (take out) I tend to go to Panacea because it's in my hood and uses local, organic ingredients for the same cost as a slice from Mr. Mike's or Junior's. But every once in a while I make the trek downtown and I really like Mr. Mike's pizza. It tends to be less well done (not cooked so long) as Panacea's and the dough is very soft and yeasty. The sizes are large, crust thin, the toppings are not too much/not too little, and I like the sort of "lack" of ambience at Mr. Mike's. It isn't trying to be fancy. It's a pizzeria first, a bar second. Fun for a pizza pick up or even for going with a friend and playing pool in the back (every once in a while). Kudos Mr. Mike's for getting the NYC-style pizza thing down!

Shane K.

Yelp
Great Pizza and even better customer service. Thanks again. We'll be back. Definitely a place you want to visit in Burlington.

Shannon A.

Yelp
Two words: Heat & Flies We were told this was THE PLACE to go and have pizza in Burlington by someone who was from the area. I am wondering now if this was a joke. I have to say, the pizza was great. I think if I lived in Burlington, I would mos def get pizza to go from here. It was the traditional NY style, thin crust pizza. We had a large group on a weeknight so we sort of had the place to ourselves but man, oh man, this place was hot and humid. I am convinced people in VT do not believe in A/C. It's August people! I'm all about conserving but I also am all about not melting in the summer heat! There was no escaping the heat so we took in a few Switchbacks (my new fave beer) but it was difficult to drink and eat while swatting the flies away. Yuck!

David T.

Yelp
Though I am not a fan of New York style pizza, Mr. Mike's was quite impressive. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza, which they threw in the oven for a few minutes. The crust was very lite and quite tasty. The cheese and sauce was also tasty. The sausage (sliced) could have used a little more flavor, but the crisp that was added to it by putting it in the oven gave it that little bit of extra flavor. Pepperoni is just pepperoni. The girl at the front counter was extremely friendly as well. Atmosphere was nice as well, as it is just a little corner joint. The only changes I would make would add more cheese and sauce to the pizza. Otherwise, they do not skimp on the toppings. Definitely recommend this pizza.

Jordan A.

Yelp
This is the best slice in downtown Burlington. It's been through many owners over the years, yet the pizza remains excellent. That's a rare feat. I almost always double down: a slice of BBQ chicken and a slice of Buffalo chicken. You may have to dodge a few drunken bros, since it's a go-to stomach filler for the baby inebriate set, but the staff is always prepared to deal with their drunken antics, and always makes the polite, well-behaved customer feel important.

Fu D.

Yelp
"Burlington Pizza Tour" "Best Fucking Slice" Finally! A smiling face ordering our food, quick delivery, a low price for a slice, a better deal for a whole pie. When the Pizza is fresh I'd say it is the best in town for what its worth. In my personal opinion the Pesto Pizza is one of the best slices I have had anywhere, sooo good and something I don't think I have seen anywhere else although I am sure it is out there. They have a great selection of slices and specialty pies to offer and that is all I really need from a pizza place. On top of that we had some great conversation with the bartender who didn't mind our loud spirits on the last stop of our tour. And I was happy it was the last stop because the Pizza was good, the drinks were cheap, and the mood was ripe. Well there you have it. Our tour is complete, Manhattans and Mike's take the top spots -Fu D.

Neal L.

Yelp
I'm not a teetotaler or anything, but I've never even had a beer here. I come strictly for the slices. A slice of cheese is $2.50 even and it hits the spot if you're broke and have the munchies. The crust has a slight crunch to it that I really enjoy that I'm pretty sure comes from the reheating. Sometimes I opt for the pesto slice, which is definitely tasty, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra 50 cents. The pesto counts as a topping even though it displaces the tomato sauce. I understand that pesto is more expensive than tomato sauce, but it's not 50 cents per slice more expensive. This isn't the best pizza out there, but you could do worse for a slice of cheese.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Been here so many times on previous visits to Burlington. So disappointed. The staff was mean and inconsiderate. Our order was forgotten. When we asked for it, they appeared to intentionally delay it even more. They stated it takes a very long time to make a sub. We had ordered 2 small subs (chicken parm and philly). There were only 4 other people in there, all eating pizza already. They completed several orders for people who came in after us, both pizza and wings. It was a first visit for a couple with us, it will be their last.

Ron M.

Yelp
Pizza varies from edible to "quick flush it down the toilet!" If you like to hang out w/drunk college students in a dirty, loud location, then this is the place. The prices are in line with all the other "very average" food in Burlington VT, as is the "quality" which is your standard fare pizza. They do have a FEW speciality pizzas which makes this place OK (for a quick slice and brew). The brew selection is decent and the local's choice is Switchback. Being a local and enjoying a Switchy is great, getting that brew for $3 Mon-wed is even better. It's almost enough to entice me to eat here, I said ALMOST!! PS Quick side note. Perhaps the WORST bathrooms ever. Crazy graffiti all over the doors, walls, and ceiling. I went to use the urinal one time and there was a bag of piss on top of it near the handle. Now who uses a urinal and pisses in a bag, only to place it on top of the toilet?? SO, use caution when entering the facilities there, if you dare.

Eamonn K.

Yelp
I would probably say best pizza in town, but the only reason I give it 4 stars is because in the past I have had multiple times where they delivered me the wrong pizza or just screwed up an order (forgot an item). Otherwise the pizza is perfect for drunk munchies and regular munchies. I would say they kind that everybody knows them for is the Buffalo Chicken, which is dank. When I would go there I usually went with a slice of pesto and one of bacon cheeseburger. Along with those I would park myself at the bar and order anything and everything. Whether in the mood for a PBR tallboy or a hand grenade, Mr. Mikes and the bartenders were the sh1t when I lived in the BTV! Dope!

Erin K.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from Mr. Mikes and it got here within 30 minutes with fries that were still hot and crispy! Love this place!

James P.

Yelp
I can't really say what the food is like because after waiting 15 minutes for someone to wait on us we left. I've should have taken the hint when the hostess or whoever it was behind the counter barely graced us with eye contact when we asked if we should seat ourselves. It seemed more of sorority house than a restaurant. I'm not an unreasonable guy and fairly easy to please but common courtesy and basic customer service is a must. Went down the street to another pizza joint and has a great experience not because of the food but because of the service.

J B.

Yelp
Mr. Mike's an all around great pizza place / bar. The front of the building is the pizza shop, and in the back room it's a dive bar (really small). The bar itself is super shady, but the pizza is great. They also deliver. They have one arcade game.

Ryan A.

Yelp
Huge slices, nice people, pretty cool place. It's definitely geared a little more towards the younger crowd, but it's awesome regardless.

Sarah M.

Yelp
If you are under 21 in Burlington and want to go somewhere downtown at night, you've got two major options: a coffee shop (I'm thinking Muddy's or the Bean) or Mr. Mikes. Either of these are very good options, but if you're craving a hot slice of Buffalo chicken pie, or maybe a chance to ogle drunk UVMers, you have to go to Mr. Mikes. And even though it's your only option, it's a damn good one. Look, my favorite pizza around here is Leonardo's, but that's just because I'm a thick-crust kind of gal. If you want something a little thinner and stringier, Mr. Mikes should be your go-to. And lucky for you, Mr. Mikes is open until at least 1 am every night, and they deliver.

Alicia D.

Yelp
Not authentic pizza, but good at what they do. The barbecue chicken and buffalo chicken pizzas are amazingly tasty. The bar is tiny, seating is limited, and the A/C hasn't worked in weeks... but as a post-kickball spot for the rowdy twenty-somethings who spend Monday night playing WAKA at Oakledge, it does the job well. The beer is relatively cheap, they bring rounds of free shots to all the teams in the league, and the service is friendly and quick. I'm not sure I'd choose to come here for a slice with my family, but as a spot to hit after day drinking or when I want latenight pizza, it hits the spot quite well.

Marcus S.

Yelp
I love Mr Mike's. Some of the best pizza in Burlington. But I have to give them a 3/5. The last three times I have ordered, something was forgotten, something didn't show up or everything was late. I keep going back but it seems like nothing ever changes. It'd be nice to get something more then "sorry man". Well, I hope you guys can figure it out because I love your pizza...

Nancy R.

Yelp
I ordered delivery and my pizza was a bit cold. In all fairness it was New Year eve. However, the pizza itself was no better than average. I rarely order out so it was a disappointment.
