Mr. Moto Pizza Mission Valley

We placed two large orders from Mr. Moto Pizza in Mission Valley, and the quality was superb! The whole team loved the variety of topping combinations and was thoroughly impressed. Customer service was incredible—the order was accurate, on time, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Thank you for making it such a great experience! We’ll definitely be ordering again.

We had a great experience at Mr. Moto Pizza! Thank you for being so kind to my daughter—it really meant a lot. The Pepperoni was a bit spicy for our taste, but the California Love pizza was absolutely delicious! Prices are on the higher side, but hey, what isn’t in California these days? Overall, great service and good pizza!

All 6 of my picky kids ate and loved the pizza. surprisingly all the kids even gobbled up the crust! Definitely more of a north Eastern style pizza and definitely delicious. A little on the salty side but I love salt so I loved the pizza. Definitely get it double cut if you’re feeding kids, the slices are easier to manage if they’re smaller.

Great place for slices of pizza as they have many different types. I found the pizza with toppings better than the plain cheese pizza. 2 slices cost about $10.24, but one was Rickey Mountains and the other plain. I highly suggest Rocky Mountains, cheese with meatballs, ricotta, oregano, and spicy honey!

Wanted some non-chain pizza, and Mr. Moto popped up on the map and gave it a try. Location was a bit fiddly to get to, and parking isn't particularly plentiful. Tried a couple of different slices (there was plenty to choose from) that sounded good to me. There's a pretty robust menu with plenty of options to choose from. Staff was friendly and the location was tidy. There's limited seating, but when the weather's warmer you can eat outside as well. Worth taking the time to pick up some slices that aren't your standard corporate franchise pizza.

Even before Mr. Moto’s had their train wreck of the free pizza giveaway, they always had poor service, especially at this location. I just feel like the employees are very short with customers and always upset/depressed looking. The quality of the pizza is objectively good, but the execution of getting a pizza to the customer in a timely manner (if at all) is severely lacking. They are also way to expensive for the pizza imo, if I want to pay $30 for a pizza, I would just go to tribute or sisters pizza. UPDATE: Mr. Motos honored their word and worked to get me a free pizza, which I greatly appreciated. I will say when I went to go pick it up, there were still a couple hiccups, and the employees that staff the place seem generally In a bad mood. Good pizza, but not going to be a regular spot for me.

I cant believe this place has a 3.9 rating but I understand why, long-time patron here, since the days of them being #1 every year, stopped coming because the service became a little vague, popped in the other night after about 3 years and I can tell you right now something is off, something changed, cant put a finger on it but how I can distinctively explain it is that the love is gone. Pizza isn't about dough and sauces its about the love that gets put into those things that used to make this place great including the service! No one smiled at me or welcomed me like they used to, it felt more like 'hurry up and buy', it was a huge let down. Not to say the pizza wasnt tasty but it wasnt amazing either. I honestly believe this may have happened due to opening other locations not sure, just a theory. Good luck guys ✌️

Quick and easy! Prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for quick bite of pizza 🍕 on a rainy day and don't want to settle for big franchised pizzahut or papa John's, then this is the spot for you when you're in this area. We came at 9 before they closed so not much variety of pizza to choose from. We got a slice of simple pepperoni pizza and also a slice of cheese and tomato pizza whatever that was.. They were good. Garlic knots were GOOD but the marinara sauce WAS THE BOMB. You will want that sauce for everything. Overall, i like that the food here was not too greasy. If you like cheesy, greasy deep fried style pizza, then this is not the place for you. I look forward to come back and try their buffalo pizza!

Pizza was fresh and tasty. Server was friendly. Dining room was clean and in order.

Food: Spinach Cheese Garlic Knot (8/10) - Pretty good size and flavor, I love a spinach cheese combo but in a fluffy bready garlic knot was pretty good. It came out warm as well. Loved dipping in marinara or ranch sauce. Jalapeño Pepperoni Garlic Knot (9/10) - Love the spicy kick and protein in this garlic knot. Also yummy with the marinara or ranch. Will definitely try pizza next time because the pizza at the little italy location was also pretty decent! Service: Straightforward service, nothing personal. You order at the front and wait for it to come out! We got to-go and ate at the tables outside in the plaza. Ambiance: Very casual pizza spot vibes with tables throughout the place.

We love Mr. Moto in our house, but this location needs changes. The wait here is always way too long and it's rare if a call ahead order is ready when it's supposed to be. I've reached out to management to share these concerns and they didn't care to respond.

We have had decent experiences at Mr. Moto's (other locations) in the past but had a horrible experience today. Placed an online order around noon for pick up around 5pm. We got there at 515 and they said it would be 10 more min. We waited and then inquired 25 minutes later as they did seem busy and they said they actually never started on our pizza. So we waited another ten min and they finally had it made by 5:50pm or so (they did forget our salad so we had to remind them of that too.) Overall pretty disappointing and needless to say we were late for the commitment we were headed to. Not sure we will visit here again.

I've been visiting Mr. Moto for over a decade at various locations. I most frequent the Mission Valley location. The food options are great. I like the NY style pizza, nice large slices of thin crust pizza. The crust itself has flavor which you don't always find. I appreciate the non-standard toppings. I love the Mr. Moto and the Rocky Mountain. Those are definitely my go-to pizza selections. My son loves their pepperoni and they put more than just a few slices, which we appreciate. I usually love garlic knots but unfortunately I'm not a fan of these. I've tried them multiple times and different locations and they always tend to be over cooked and the herbs burnt on top. I finally stopped ordering those and I stick to pizza only. The staff is usually friendly and I have never had an issue with the staff.There is never an issue with parking either, even if you have to walk a few aisles over, there is plenty.

Ordered for delivery to the hotel and pizzas were piping hot, cheesy and crust soft and doughy. We scarfed it down it was so good. My only slight complaint is that the pepperoni one was a bit oily.

Counter service. Small dining area. 80 and 90's pop music playing during our visit. The staff were friendly. It's pizza by the slice or you can order them whole if you're on the hungry side of things. You can choose to eat there in the dinning area or outside in the perfect San Diego weather. Of course, you can also take your food with you. Food was good. The wait time is typically long, I recommend ordering in advance.

I've been to this Mr. Moto location many times before and always really enjoyed their pizza, but I've never taken the time to write a proper review. I want to recognize them for their delicious pizza, especially right now, while they're doing their free pizza Mondays for November. Like I said, their pizza is really good and they have lots of different options and specialties for pizza. Their pizzas are thin crust and New York style. My favorites are the Mr. Moto and California Love, but you really can't go wrong with any of their pizzas. You have the option to order by slices or get a full pizza (including custom pizzas). I've also tried their stuffed garlic knots before which are also delicious. Customer service is great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking at this location since it's in a large shopping plaza. As for the free pizza Mondays, I want to give a huge shoutout to the staff for managing the long lines for the free pizza so well while also managing walk-in customers. They have been getting through the line and making pizzas as quickly as they can all while maintaining a positive attitude and high-quality pizza.

I never expected to find a thin crust gluten free pizza as amazing as Mr.Moto Pizza serves up!!! It's become our go to when we are in Mission Valley. The service in store is always very friendly and informative. They're great at making suggestions or answering any questions you might have. It's a cute little spot to dine in, but we usually take ours out. Definitely a great find! I'll add a picture next time we have one.

Wanted to try this location as I've been to several throughout San Diego. I liked their pizza because it was saucier and it came out really quick. I'd come back if I was in the area.

I had a calzone and a slice of Pepperoni pizza, the servers were friendly and made recommendations, and my food came out steaming hot and was excellent. I drove back to my hotel and it was still smoking when I settled in, if you don't feel like cooking stop here and grab a slice or two.

Why didn't anyone tell me about Mr. Moto Pizza?? Where have I been?! Well glad I'm on the Mr. Moto train now cause it's a great chain. Their prices are decent and the food is above average sooo I'm definitely coming back. Tried two of their pizza slices [$4.75/each] & liked the regular pepperoni way better than California Love slice. Pretty big slices, but it's rolled out thin so it's not too filling. The dough they use really shines brighter than most pizza places does so I'd rate their pizza 4/5. Tried their caesar salad [$11] which I know is basic, but it was decent enough and extra points for including two salad dressing cause no one deserves a dry salad! Also got the Vodka Sauce Penne [$15] and that was really tasty too! IDK if I was just hungry, but everything was hitting! I would say that the pasta was a bit oily, but not to a gross level. Both the pasta & salad are definitely meant to be shared. Overall, a "more than" decent pizza option if you're craving that. All employees were nice and the place was clean. Loved that there was a sink outside of the restroom so if all you needed was to wash your hands, you could do so without standing in a line. Plenty of parking at this location, but watch out for homeless people asking you for money and when you politely say no, you get called "liar." True story.

Our take-out order wasn't quite right and we promptly got a refund for the wrong item. Great customer service.

Can't go wrong with Mr. Moto pizza in my opinion. I love stopping by here for a quick and affordable lunch if I'm in the mission valley area and in the mood for pizza. My two favorites are the mamma Moto and Mr Moto. Service is quick and plenty of seatings both inside and outside the restaurant. I tried this on Pepperoni pizza day. They didn't even know about the 30% off so I had to talk them into it. I bought two large pepperonis, both were burnt The pizza is just so-so. I'm sure it's fine for your average Californian, but for somebody who grew up back east, it just doesn't cut it. Luigi's Pizzeria on Newport blows the place away by a hundredfold, actually any Luigi's pizzeria locations.

Delicious pizza. Love that location! Easy parking. And you can run some errands in the plaza while you order your pizza :)

Ordered the family meal for pickup tonight and after I got home realized my sealed bag was missing items. I called to explain and the guy in the phone didn't seem to care much and told me I had to go back to pick them up. When I arrived to pick up my items there was no apology whatsoever. Terrible customer service.

This is a Revised review. I ordered a pizza last week for a specific time and wasn't ready & I was on a time crunch. Miriam the GM called and offered a free pizza for the troubles and I declined. Good pizza. They have really good bacon, so get something with bacon on it. Pizza by the slice. They also have pasta, salads, and desserts.

Can't go wrong with the pizza with Mr. Moto, but the service is horrible in this location. Don't great, don't ask if you need to order or pick up they just stair at you. First time I was there had bad experience but decided to come back Since pizza is good and Mr. Moto is the closets pizza place to me. I ordered on the app so The pizza could be ready by the time I get there. I get there and they finally decided to helped me they told me it was not ready, two more minutes even though app said 20-25 minutes. I understand it's busy right?! But I ended up waiting 15-20 more minutes in the store because it seems that they keep forgetting and my pizza was well done(a little burn). I hope the service gets better because the pizza is good.

I heard about this place for a long time and I can't believe it took me this long to try. It came to the Mission Valley location and had their pizza and it was great. Great crust as well.

I love the variety of pre-made pizza slices. If you can wait 30 mins then you can get a whole pie. A little pricey for the additional toppings as it is $1.50 - $2 each. We decided to order a whole pie. My kid described the dough as soft but crispy. The crust is crunchy. We also ordered garlic knots which were amazing. Must have whenever we come here. They also throw in ranch or marinara. The staff were really nice as well. Warning that this is a cashless establishment. Overall, we will be back.

The slowest location. I waiting 30 minutes for 6 slices and 6 garlic knots. And the staff was very unhelpful.

Amazing customer service. I put a large order ahead of time and upon pick up, I made the mistake of scheduling it for the next day. They immediately looked at their scheduled lineup of orders and fit me in without disturbing their line and had my order in 20 minutes! Thank you thank you. We already love the pizza. Okay, Mr. Moto, I see y'all expanding throughout all of San Diego! There pizza selections were my favorite for awhile! I love the slices with the fresh toppings on top like arugula and such! I had their chicken and garlic pizza and I would definitely be back! You cannot pass up on their garlic knots! It's a must have with the marinara! The service was quick and the ambiance is casual! I will definitely be back to try other slices!

Mr. Moto's Pizza is a local chain that serves up New York style pizza. I happened to visit the Mission Valley location, but they have a handful of locations around San Diego. They have a variety of pre-made pies that you can order by slice. They also have garlic knots and stuffed knots. You can also order a whole pie if you want more than a couple of slices. I was nearby and decided to grab a couple of slices of pizza. I ordered the combo of two slices 1) "Mr. Moto" and 2) "The Hulk" and a fountain drink. I also added a garlic knot with marinara sauce (the other option was ranch). The young man behind the counter was nice. I was a little surprised that they didn't accept cash, but not a big deal. However, they do accept cash tips. I had change on me... but I'm just wondering what if someone has large bills and needs change to leave a tip? Anyhow my slices and the garlic knot came out pretty hot. The garlic knot looks really flavorful, but surprisingly it was a bit bland and the marinara tasted a little watery / diluted. The slices were both good, but I preferred the "Mr. Moto" slice (Italian sausage, Spanish chorizo, burrata, and marinara) over "The Hulk" (pepperoni, bacon, ham, and sausage). The pizza here isn't as good as Bronx. Mr. Moto has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the tables were not clean, but it was around lunch time, there was only one guy taking the orders and someone in the back making pies so it's understandable. This place is easy to find and there is plenty of parking in this shopping center. This is the best pizza place in San Diego! Kind staff, fun atmosphere, awesome pizza. They stand behind their product. Rewards gets you very commonly free pizzas, with a surprising way to run it where they take off the highest priced pie.

Hot, fresh, delicious. Pizza was made on time and they gave crushed peppers and parmesan cheese. Ordering online was really easy, and the pizza was just very high quality. This is why we always go to Mr. Moto.

I tried Mr Moto for their free pizza Monday promo and it was very decent pizza- thin and crispy crust, generous toppings, and excellent sauces. A really great experience, even considering the long wait. The service was understandably rushed but still trying to keep up with everyone's orders so I wouldn't give the service a fair rating. The store itself is very clean and has plenty of seating. Would I pay $25+ for these pizzas? Maybe not, but it's a good pizza spot to check out if you're bringing a pizza to impress.

I've been a fan of Mr. Moto's for awhile now, back when I went to their North Park location. Semi-mixed feelings about this location. I ordered the Furious Diablo, which didn't disappoint. The mixture of Buffalo and ranch dressing was spot on, the slice wasn't drenched in it and flavor was good. The Hulk on the other hand was SUPER salty. It does have bacon and ham which are usually on the saltier side, but this tasted like they added salt on top of that. The crust on both was done well though, not too crunchy and very foldable. The stuff garlic knots are also a favorite of mine, and they have a generous amount of filling, so I wasn't disappointed there. This location is a little on the smaller side, so seating is limited. They have three taps for draft beer and I learned Mr Moto has their own hazy IPA and blond ale. Didn't get a chance to try them this time around, but hopefully on my next visit. Service was okay, it's counter service so it's always hard to judge (in my opinion), especially because I'm familiar with their pies and didn't have any questions. The area was clean so it appears they keep up with bussing tables when not behind the counter. Overall, this location is a great place to stop for a quick slice, or ordering to go. Despite my experience with the Hulk slice this time, I'll give it another try, hopefully it was a one-time thing.

First time here. Small shop off Friars Road in the Ralph's shopping center. Grabbed their 2 slice special with a fountain drink for $12. Wide selection of slices with different toppings. I decided to go with the pepperoni and Diablo Buffalo Chicken. They were heated up within 5 minutes so the wait was minimal. Nice crust on both. The pepperoni slice lacked a bit of flavor but overall a good experience. Seating inside and outside.

Hits the spot. Fairly priced. Great package deals. The flavors are good.. would have been a 5, but the crust was a little too chewy, undercooked for me? But that won't stop me from coming back, haha! They have these cool stuffed rolls which remind me of calzones but mini, I suggest you order those! Their Caesar salad also is pretty solid, their dressed is vinegar based so it tastes lighter than typical creamy based Caesar.

Want a terrific meal with no hassle?! This spot is spot on. Came in and no wait. It's a cool place, clean with a Andy Warhol vibe to it. There was a display case at the counter where you order filled with pizzas and salads and other items. We ordered our pizza and a house salad to share which was ready in less than two minutes. I had the Mr Moto pizza which had sausage, chorizo and burrata on it, highly recommend! Hubby had the California Love which he devoured, lol. The house salad was very fresh with a simple Italian type of dressing on the side, very good. Yes we will come back to try other items.

I stopped by at Mr. Moto Pizza on my lunch break the other day to order some pizza for my team to celebrate my colleague's last day of work. My colleague always has great things to say about this pizza shop, he recommended to order the Mama Moto pizza. According to the shop's menu, it has burrata cheese, truffle oil, parsley, and cherry tomatoes with a homemade garlic paste base. The Mama Moto pizza was delicious! I'm a huge tomato lover, so the burst of cherry tomatoes along with the taste of burrata cheese that had the creamy and buttery taste to it was literally so good. Originally when ordering I had mistaken the name of the pizza order and asked for the Mr. Moto pizza, which actually has meat on it vs the Mama Moto pizza that doesn't. The employee there that helped me is named Marquis. Shout out to Marquis! He was so welcoming the second I walked in and even though I accidentally ordered the wrong item at first he was quick to be of assistance to fix the issue. The ambiance was laid back, there is seating inside and outside the pizza shop. I will definitely be returning soon to try their other pizza flavors.

The new young man at the counter is a pleasure to deal with. I had an issue come up with my pizza and salad and he worked with his manager on making it right. Kudos to the team in Mission Valley. I will be coming back for more.

I love their pizza! all the workers there are so nice!! My kids love the pizza. It's always great. I don't understand where they have bad reviews. I've tasted food all over the world my husband's a chef their food is excellent. It's a really good pizza.. I think a lot of people are doing that to get their stuff for free

Stood at the register for ten minutes before anyone even looked at me or offered to help. I had ordered, payed, and my order was already ready when I got there. This was the second time I've been to this location and received uninterested customer service. The food itself was not bad. Their pizza was good size with lots of toppings and the wings were actually really yummy.

Large parking lot shared with other businesses. Indoor seating. They have a restroom, sink is outside of the bathroom. You can order by the slice or a whole pizza. Don't forget to use the Yelp check in for a discount! Tried: everything we ordered was unfortunately cooked too long/burnt. The staff did apologize. Cheese - kiddo loved it Buffalo - good Sausage - good Knots - good Jalapeño knots - just ok They have inside seating I'd be back and maybe bump up a star if future visits are better.

Probably shouldn't be putting pizza slices out as "display" if you don't have any of the specified variety you are displaying for sale. But I bet you were keeping that slice for your own lunch, that's why you removed it from the display after I called you out on it. Staff is also lazy, and mumbles when they speak making it impossible to understand what they are saying, did not provide good customer service after the slice I requested was "only for display", next time instead of saying "you are gunna have to wait if you want that". How about you say "I'm sorry that is unavailable at the moment but if you don't mine waiting X time, we can get a fresh pie for you" . Also Watched a lady at the register yawn at an another customers face and didn't cover her mouth or say excuse. Disgusting. Pizza is very good, but the experience took away from the enjoyment.

Ordered delivery takeout, which they deliver with Uber. Uber picked up about 15 min. after the food was ready, per the app, so food lukewarm at arrival. No salad dressing, dipping sauce for calazone, napkins, nor silverware. Pizza and calazone were pretty good though. I'm hoping my hotel restaurant will give me some dressing so I can eat the salad.

Stopped by to get a few slices before hitting the grocery store. This place never fails.. Well, the options change but what can you expect. The pizza is always good. Love the thin crust and some of the combinations they create. Service is always friendly, and all locations are nice and clean. Just one of those places I like to get pizza when Im out and about. ‍

If you love pizza let me put you on . This spot has been my go to place and trust me I have tried a whole lot of other pizza places . I have already tried a few items on their menu and they all delicious but My favorite pizza is the buffalo chicken ranch its sooo delicious y'all need to try this spot for real and the best thing about this place they have Monday deals and let me tell you they really generous with the portions and toppings they ain't stingy like other pizza places it's so worth it ..HAPPY CUSTOMER!!

Love this location and Pizza. I come here at least twice a week and the staff is freaking cool as hell. The pizza is always fresh and delicious. The wings though, let me tell you about their wings. Good lord, they are good. Now I'm hungry, going to Motos after work now

A nice spot of a quick slice of pizza! I really enjoy that they sale pizza by the slice because sometimes an entire pizza is too much. The pizza tasted great and was a good size. The cashier we had was very nice and it was quick even though we came in during the lunch hour.
