Two New Pho Restaurants Debut in Asiatown | Eater Houston

"Housed in a small 49-seat strip-mall space and launched as a passion project by friends Kenny Pham, Yen Gia Lang, and Sonny Pham, this casual spot is built around a short, focused menu and the trio's love of cooking and drinking—Yen is known for his broth and Kenny for his steak. The menu is a one-pager featuring two soups and four rice plates: the northern-style pho Bac (14-hour beef bone broth that comes with toppings like rare, marinated filet mignon and can be customized with beef meatballs, tendon, brisket, or fatty flank) and a bun bo Hue (spicy pork and beef noodle soup) that is already getting rave online reviews; rice plates include com suon bo dai han (Korean-style BBQ short ribs with rice), com bo luc lac (shaking beef with rice), com ga xoi mo (Vietnamese fried chicken with rice), and com chien duong chau (combination fried rice)." - Mai Pham

The food is really good , the staff are not very friendly or welcoming but I guess the food makes up for it. Update , I went back here 6/25/25. When I walked in I let the host know I was going to the restroom first. I waited for the person to come out of the restroom, when she came out she had on gloves & an apron. I went to ask the host if the lady worked in the kitchen because she had on gloves & she said “ she will change them” I think it’s very unsanitary so I left. Be careful!

My wife and I had stopped by a few times before the pandemic and then had stopped ordering out for a while, we started coming back the other week and forgot how good the food was! It's a nice sized restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The owners are nice and friendly. The special fried rice is delicious and you can also order it with just Chinese sausage if you want, and we love that it already comes with a fried egg! We definitely plan on coming back more especially during the evening happy hour! Thank you for the great food! Sometimes the service might be a little slow but when you realize a lot of people are ordering to go or pick-up that shows that there is quite a demand and they are keeping up as fast and as best as they can!

My experience here was OK. I have visited several pho places in the Cypress area and they are all a bit different when ordering the "same order". My small pho bowl was mainly broth and lots of onion, small pieces of brisket with tons of fat bits on it, was gross for my taste. The environment is a bit dry- as in customer service, chill not too noisy. Can't say about other items on the menu but the pictures others have upload look tasty. Viet coffee was for a coworker, she said it was strong 👍🏼. Most likely won't be back, as pho is my thing and I wasn't satisfied.

Mr Pho is always our go to place when we want pho. Especially is we’re feeling sick, it’s the best and helps us feel better. We’ve been coming here for atleast 7 years, everyone is always helpful and food is always good! Weather you sit in or take go, it’ll always be the same which I love!

Normally we buy food to-go. Today we decided to dine in. The pho is decent enough. The pork seafood noodle (or Phnom Penh noodle) is my favorite! We got the dry version today. The soup came with it was so good. I would definitely come back to try the soup style! Egg coffee is delicious and so is the milk tea frappe (not pictured - was busy enjoying everything so I forgot!)

My wife really loves the food here. She always gets the vermicelli with chicken and I either opt for the house special fried rice or the Korean bbq ribs. Service can be a bit slow (especially if they are focused on to-go orders) and this last time they forgot my meal but were quick to remedy it and apologize. If you like pho then you’ll enjoy this place.

So I was never a Pho person but my girls love it. We felt like there were no good pho places in Cypress, but wow this is best in NW Houston. The girls that work there are awesome and work hard. Great specials and food is AMAZING!

I stopped by this Vietnamese spot for a quick bite, and I was seriously impressed! The service was fast and friendly — I barely waited a few minutes before my food was ready. I ordered the BBQ sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled, tucked inside a fresh, crispy bread with just the right amount of pickled veggies. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. If you’re looking for great food and speedy service, this place definitely delivers. I’ll be coming back for sure!
