Chung Chun Rice Dog Opens Its First Seattle Location - Eater Seattle

"Mr. Saigon, the popular local fast-casual banh mi shop, has added another outpost in the city. There’s now a new location in Pioneer Square, joining the ones in Capitol Hill and Downtown. The menu centers around various classic and modern banh mi sandwiches, all on in-house baked baguettes. Noodle bowls, spring rolls, and bubble tea round things out." - Megan Hill

Absolutely delicious sandwiches! The bread is so good, and having a side cup of Pho broth on a chilly evening is perfect. I also tried dipping my sandwich (not something that I have had the chance to do with other sandwiches) and found it be great. A Bahn Mi french dip situation. Prices are very reasonable for the portions/satisfaction.

I never heard of Mr. Saigon until one was opening right by my work - but there are a couple locations so I was pretty excited to give it a try. It’s more a quick walk-in and walk-out kind of place, but there is some seating available if you wanted to eat there. They offer banh mi, vermicelli bowls, pho, and banh pate chaud (which I’m very excited about because it’s one of my favorite Vietnamese pastries). I decided the get the pork belly banh mi (under the “classic” section) to go. For $5.50, it’s a pretty stuffed sandwich and a good size. Fair for the price. The bread was toasted, so it was a nice crisp and not too hard. I’m also a big fan of pate in banh mi, and the pate was a nice texture. Only doe said I would say is that there weren’t jalapeños in my sandwich, though I believe that is something added depending on their menu order. I did see a side bar where you may be able to add extra toppings if you’d like. My other wish (not a big deal) was that the sandwich was cut in half for me. They are when you dine in, but for take out it was a whole sandwich. That’s just preference, but I would like to be asked that. I also ordered the Vietnamese coffee, which was bold and a good level of sweetness - as it should be. I’ll definitely be going back to try other things on the menu and their banh pate chaud. I’d love for this to be a quick fix for Vietnamese food cravings.

Google
Great place for a quick bite, I like the modern and clean decor. I got a BBQ pork banh mi and it was so good. Super fresh bread and very delicious for the price in p square you can't beat it. Also add the side of pho which was equally delicious. Only thing I was very slightly disappointed at was that the pho had no noodles and was just broth and some veggies. But enough to make me sure I want to come back and try a bigger bowl! What a great addition to pioneer square!

Walking from the International District towards Pioneer Square, we found Mr Saigon while walking to another restaurant & changed our mind. A beautiful & bright space with comfortable seating, we shared our table with other people during the busy weekday lunch crowd. Generous portions & the leftovers were even more delicious! The lunch team at Mr Saigon was fast & organized. I am still drooling over the bahn mi.

Google
Pretty disappointing banh mi. It's dry and lacking flavor. They also gave me the wrong sandwich instead of the one I ordered. The vibe and decor is cute though. If you want to try really good banh mi, try Thanh Son and Lan Hue in international district.

Google
Amazing Bahn Mi and Pho! Reasonable prices and great staff. Overall a wonderful experience.

Google
Excellent fresh and bold flavors. Love their subtle variations of modern and solid classic versions of sandwiches. The Bread!!! Now I'm sold on the vermicelli bowls. Great enhanced flavors and well prepared meats. This might just become habit forming. And the counter service has been super nice and cordial, even in the midst of these uncertainties. Yay, Mr Saigon!!

Google
Highly efficient and friendly staff. The line goes quick even at peak hours as the cashier is absolutely competent. Kitchen staff prepares food with complete care. Delicious and highly affordable. Charming interior design to match. Top Vietnamese place around the area. Definitely give it a try pho sure!

Yelp
We travelled from out of town and our server Jasmine was super helpful! The pho and wings were fantastic and the tea is a nice, refreshing side. There's not a ton of seating, but they make up for it with speedy service. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Caysha is a wonderful soul who helped and provided us with such great service. The food from this place is so good! Broth taste clear and scrumptious! A must visit when you are in the area and please do look for Caysha and give her a big hi

Yelp
Michael was incredibly helpful and made our experience amazing, he was the best server I've had in a long time. Also, the Banh mi drip was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place! The surrounding area isn't the best, so be cautious outside but the food here is fantastic and so worth the visit. My friend and I came on a Saturday night and there were a good amount of people inside, but nothing too crazy. You order at the counter kiosks and they bring you your food when ready. We got the classic cold cut and banh mi drip, and also an order of the fish sauce wings (which you can get for free when checking in on Yelp!). The food came out so fast and man was it good. The wings were so crispy and juicy and had the most delicious savory sweet sticky sauce with fresh pickled veggies on the side. I still dream of those wings. Both banh mi we're also delicious -- the cold cut was probably the best I've had in Seattle, as it has the perfect amount of each meat and pate, all within a crispy but fluffy baguette. Service was so friendly and the food was so good! This is definitely a spot I'd return to :)

Yelp
Service 5/5 -- Self-order kiosks available and they bring out the food to you. Staff has always been attentive and caring during my visits. Today, I accidentally ordered rice instead of vermicelli and they quickly remade it for me and graciously offered a free appetizer coupon for the wait. Table cleanliness is hit or miss, you bus your own table but staff is quick clean up when it's not super busy Ambience 4.5/5 -- Super busy! Hard to find seating during the rush but tables open up quickly enough. I love the restaurant concept, decor, and appreciate the Vietnamese music. My only complaint is how small it is inside and the amount of flies in there Food 4/5 -- Super sad to say that I'm disappointed from the first time. When I came on May 4th, I got the Bun Bo Hue hotpot and was super impressed with how flavorful the broth was! Spicy and full of lemongrass, one of the best I've had out here. Abundance of veggies and staff was quick to offer more. It was 5/5 stars then and had me craving more! I revisited on May 28th and hoped to get the same BBH hotpot but learned they only serve it on weekends, major bummer. I got a regular steak pho and was disappointed by the broth, it lacked depth and flavor and the fresh noodles became soggy quickly (I personally prefer chewier noodles). It was a 3/5 star pho experience Today I was super excited to get BBH and ordered a regular bowl with iced coffee. Coffee was good, strong and slightly sweet. Maybe it's the novelty of the hotpot situation, but the regular bowl didn't have the same flavorful broth that I've tasted before. You can see a visible difference in the broth color! It wasn't spicy and I found it rather bland, no amount of chili can replace the spices that good BBH needs. The pork blood wasn't great, it didn't taste pure/clean (IYKYK). The meat, however, was so tender, flavorful, and falling off the bone. It saved the entire dish for me. Spring rolls were good, same as the first time I visited. I wasn't impressed with the chicken vermicelli bowl. It was ok for my taste but I've had better. Overall, I'm disappointed with my experience today but I'm still open to coming back specifically for the Bun Bo Hue hotpot.

Yelp
10/10. Food, Environment, Service, etc. First time here and I'm so glad I came across it during my morning running errands. I ordered the "Most Popular" Banh Mi Drip (w/side of Bone Marrow Soup). I added some Hoisin Sauce and Chili Oil in my sandwich that they had on the tables - Phenomenal. Definitely taking people here that visit from back home! They have a cafe and a kitchen right around the corner that looks like it's being built still if I'm not mistaken. Seating is more of a free for all, so get cozy - wasn't an issue for me!Theres also the plaza outside with seating as well!

Yelp
We drove in from Portland and arrived just after 5 PM. Unfortunate because we realllyyy wanted to try their betel leaf banh mi. A lot of menu items aren't available after 5pm. We'll have to go back some day to try it! We did end up getting the cold cut and the banh mi drip. Both were really great, even heated up the next day. I also loved that they were super dog friendly. Parking is HARD. We also didn't know that Seahawks games would mean no parking or parking for $70 so we weren't able to try their food the next day. So make sure you do a bit of research!

Yelp
I'm honestly so surprised I haven't heard of Saigon Drip earlier! A bustling Vietnamese joint serving up delicious banh mi, Vietnamese coffee, bun bo hue, pho, and more, like Vietnamese fried chicken wings (which I got for free with my Yelp check in!) I got the Banh Mi Drip, which is their signature Banh Mi, at the suggestion of the staff. It was delicious! As much as I loved the banh mi itself, the best part was the broth. Absolutely phenomenal, and you can even watch them make it right behind the counter in huge pots in the kitchen. It was very crowded at lunchtime, so they packed everything for me to-go. The staff were very kind and took my order at the counter, and they also have mobile kiosks that you can place an order on. The food was definitely made to order as it was piping hot, and the bread was very crispy. One banh mi is very filling and I had to save half for later! The chicken wings were absolutely phenomenal as well. Super hot, crispy, juicy, and bursting with fish sauce flavor. Even the pickled radish and carrots on the side were delicious. I can't wait to come back here to try their pho and bun bo hue, as well as come earlier in the daytime to try their selection of Vietnamese coffees!

Yelp
Sheesh! That Drip was nice! Had a little hometown tour of new spots to try, and this is one place that friends kept saying to check out. Showed up for lunch and accidentally caught the happy hour, so make sure u look into that. Lets get into the stuff that really matters though: Banh Mi Dip: Have you ever had a bahn mi with a side of broth to dip it in? If you havent this is your call to action. This banh mi is filled with brisket, pate, onions, and paired with a side of oxtail broth. By itself the banh mi slapped nicely, but when you actually get that dip in the broth it takes it to the next level. One of my favorite new bites in the city. Definitely get this. Spring Rolls: Fresh, standard, but also pretty huge. No complaints here. Get these. Fish Sauce Wings: These were nice. Nice, light, and crispy batter with a full of flavor fish sauce. I wouldnt come thru here anytime without having this as part of the order. Get this. Viet Coffee: Solid. If you want that punch me in the mouth flavor with the slap you to wake up caffeine this is what you're gonna want to get. Get this. I chopped it up with some of the workers while I was there. Everyone was a vibe. Definitely will be swinging by whenever I'm back home visiting.. Check this spot out!

Yelp
A Delightful Return Visit - We returned to this fast casual spot, and perhaps I wasn't in the right frame of mind during my previous visit, but this time was truly exceptional! The Banh Mi Drip ($15) was a sumptuous treat--tender, juicy brisket complemented by a delectable sauce, all encased in a perfectly crispy yet soft baguette. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the chicken vermicelli bowl ($17), which offered generous portions. While the prices are on the higher end for Vietnamese cuisine, the quality and flair of the dishes justify the cost. The staff was attentive and courteous, and the vibrant interior added to the overall enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Flavor explosion in my mouth with their amazing lettuce wrap egg rolls! A tour ended nearby and a little previous research saw that with a check-in on Yelp you got a free appetizer. We ordered the lettuce egg roll wraps and an order of their salt and pepper wings as well as a lemonade and a few coronas. During their happy hour needs are discounted (well at least corona) and all appetizers are 1/2 off. Wings were nice and crispy and very good but what stole the show was their egg roll lettuce wraps. I have never seen basil and cilantro and cucumber slices to be included as well as the staple carrot mixture. It made for such a yummy treat! Plus the egg rolls had great flavor!!! Would go back in a heartbeat for another order. It's not too large inside with a mixture of some two person tables, long bench seating and even a counter area seating. The people working were extremely nice and kind and had just a little wait for our very fresh and hot food.

Yelp
A very popular spot for Banh Mi and Pho. We loved both the Chicken and Grilled Pork Banh Mi. The meats were so juicy and perfectly charred with the grill. The bread was also made super fresh that the inside was fluffy while the crust was crispy. Perfect amount of sauce and fresh herbs as well. Service was slow and chaotic, however. Do be prepare to wait and fight for seatings to dine in. Hopefully they adjust to the crowd soon.

Yelp
We got to Saigon Drip Cafe on a Saturday about 11 am and we just beat the lunch rush because after we sat down the crowds never stopped coming in and the to go orders never stopped appearing on the counter. This place is super popular and they recently celebrated their 1 year anniversary! They even have a free selfie cam and a Taylor Swift stand up in the lobby for great photo ops! We were greeted warmly by the staff and they even offered us a free small order of chicken wings if we left an online review for them. The food and drink at Saigon Drip Cafe is so yummy and the place was hopping! I bought a Mango Black Tea for my drink along with my complimentary Yelp sandwich. We ate in the restaurant and got to see the crowds and the staff working throughout our visit. I noticed the menu prices were rather affordable with several sandwiches offered at $10. The hotpot entrees served here seemed rather popular with the customers as well. Several people had those while we were there. I loved my sweet Mango Black Tea and tried my daughter's Taro Milk Tea and it was also delicious. The neighborhood here is sketchy but with places like this popping up, I hope it changes for the better soon. The food is definitely worth coming here for though.

Yelp
Conflicted, because I paid almost $30 with tip and tax for a can of soda, 2 small banh mis, and cold fries. The flavors were good and I felt full after. The presentation for $30 banh mi was lacking as it comes in a to go container even if you dine in and the included the thick stems of cilantro that usually aren't used. The flavor was definitely there, but I told some people how much I paid for my meal and they laughed at me :(. Also the pho broth that comes with their signature sandwich leans sweet. I probably wouldn't come again for awhile because of how expensive it is but it was good.

Yelp
Little cafe serving pho, banh mi, and vermicelli bowls. It's located in the middle of pioneer square, so not a lot of parking, but street parking is not impossible. You order at the counter and then can take a seat. I ordered the pork vermicelli bowl. It came out pretty quick and we were offered waters as well. But since it's counter service, that's the extent service wise. The vermicelli bowl itself was okay! I liked the thick cut pickled radish and carrots. The egg roll was super fresh and crunchy. The pork was also nicely seasoned and they gave pretty generous portions of the meat. My only gripe with the place is that it's a bit expensive for what it is. There isn't anything standout special about this place that warrants a $20 bowl. I'd definitely be open to trying the banh mi though, since that's what they're known for! Overall, pretty good food, but from at least a vermicelli bowl perspective, you can find the same quality for much less just a few blocks away in Little Saigon.

Yelp
We went on Sunday during lunch and it seems like a busy time to go. There is Limited seating but overall it's a small cute shop with great decoration. This is basically a self order place, but the owner was very attentive. I appreciate the owner ensuring the table is clean for customers who are waiting for a seat to get a table quickly. This place was recommended by some friends; my food wasn't the best. I ordered the Pork Vermicelli Plate, portion was Ok but for the price I was expecting more and the flavor was missing. The pork was a bit dry for me and I didn't get any Fish Sauce for the dish. My friend ordered the Chicken Bowel and it came with Beef Broth, he mentioned the food was good but the broth was a bit salty for his taste and I agree. This place is the range: $$
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
Solid spot! We've been wanting to come here for awhile! We came on a Sunday for lunch and it's smaller than I was thinking. They have a few tables and a high top bar area you can squish into. The con was that this spot didn't seem to have AC so it was pretty hot to eat inside. Food - order at the kiosk and find a seat. + chicken wings - super tasty! + spring rolls - these were solid nothing special + bahn mi dip sandwich - the bread was nice and soft, meat was good, and dipping broth was flavorful but I felt like veggies or something was lacking about this sandwich Overall, I definitely want to try their other items. Maybe for takeout if we ever come on another weekend summer day. It was pretty busy when we went.
google avatar

Linda L.

Yelp
Clean interior and some outdoor seating. Got the pork Bahn mi, enjoyed the grilled flavor of the pork, has a lot of meat. The bread is nice and thick with a soft interior and crispy exterior. Wish the veges on it were pickled/more pickled because they were kind of bland and the acidity could've helped cut through the grease of the meat. Went during lunch hour and it was really packed. Seemed like they usually deliver the item to your table if you're dining in.
google avatar

Chee Jen N.

Yelp
Amazing food and experience! The Banh Mi Drip was to die for! The beef brisket in it was so tender and creamy. Paired with the bone marrow soup, it was delicious! The Bun Bo Hue was also great with a generous serving of beef rib that fell off the bone and with lots of other meats too! Phong was very helpful explaining the dishes for my first time here. The ambience inside the store was amazing and beautiful.

Yelp
The Vietnamese Food You've Never Seen Before But Need In Your Life...! Alas I got to try Saigon Drip Cafe in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. This place definitely lived up to the hype, starting from the modern decor & stylish ambience to the actual dishes that had a slight twist to their traditional counterparts. I tried the Chicken Wings, Banh Mi French Dip, and Bun Bo Hue Hot Pot: - The wings had a nice glaze of caramelization with the fish sauce - packed of goodness of umami flavor - The Banh Mi French Dip is where it's at! Fatty brisket and mayo-intense sandwich that you dip into this rich pho broth. Reminds me of a Philly cheesesteak with an Asian twist. Would have loved it if this Banh Mi had a more decent amount of pate, but that's just me and I heart my liver spread - BBH Hot Pot is only available during weekends and there's a reason why: this dish is humongous! You build your own bowl of BBH with noodles, all the fixings, beef slices, short rib, and, yes, even pork blood. Large portion that can easily feed 3-4, and the staff will come over to refill the broth for you Finally, have fun with the selfie machine there, as well as the Taylor Swift cardboard cutout (lol). There's much more items that I need to try, so I'll be back...! (and they have a rewards program where you can also get something on your birthday so that helps) If you want to check out my reel of SDC, my IG handle is @datglobetrotterlife.
google avatar

Suzen T.

Yelp
It's a sit down express style. Order first and they'll bring out to you. I ordered the BBH (bun Bo hue), Bo là lot and their special bánh mì drip with a Vietnamese iced coffee. I thought their BBH was ok, mediocre. Meaning nothing stood out about it. Wasn't bad tho. Bo là lot was ehhh for me. BUT their coffee was strong! Sheeesh! Just the way I like it. Taste . Now the bánh mì drip was so good! It probably ruined bánh mì for me now. Because nothing will compare. Warm crispy baguette, tender meat, and you dip it in bone broth. Warm. Crispy. Flavorful! But it's even good without the dip. I would describe it as Vietnamese French onion dip. But way better. As we were eating, Phong "he does the dishes" was wiping tables. I saw him conversating with the customers. Making sure everything was great. He approached us and saw that we didn't order their chicken wings. So he gave us chicken wings on the house. Both flavors. And they were so freaking good! Both flavors were good. I'm from out of town, and I had to go back there to eat again before I left. Unfortunately there was a Seattle Seahawks game that day. And parking was a #%^*+. We literally drove around for 1 hr. So we gave up and went somewhere to eat. BUT after breakfast, we went to get coffee not too far from there. So after coffee we scootered 13 mins to get there. Yes so worth coming back there. Even on a full tummy... still the banh mi AND the chicken wings were great! I'm def coming back here everytime I'm in Seattle.
google avatar

Barry K.

Yelp
A nice concept. Three of us for lunch, had Pho, lettuce wraps, and bon mi. All were really good. Food came fast and the employees were really nice and helpful.
google avatar

Shannon K.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised at how good the food is! Usually cute and trendy shops like this have mid food, but the food here is great. We came in around 11 and the store was starting to get pretty busy. There isn't a lot of seating, but people were in and out quickly enough that you don't need to wait long for a table. We got two banhmis, the banh mi drip and the bok bok b*tch along with a viet coffee. The banh mi drip is SO GOOD. The banh mi itself was good, but my god the pho broth is amazing. I'm definitely coming back to try their pho from how good the broth was. The bok bok b*tch was good, another option to get. Their other banh mi options looked good as well, but you have to try the banh mi drip. Wish it came with a side of the veggies w/ the order and not as an additional charge, but it tasted so good that it's forgivable. The viet coffee was so strong in a good way, but I would let it water down a little personally. Highly recommend coming in, the room was kind of hot even with all the fans they had going though.
google avatar

Maggie L.

Yelp
Tip: Check-in on Yelp before payibg for a free appetizer I get the hype for this place! Food is so good. Casual ambiance. Order at the kiosk, grab a seat, and food will be brought to you. It was pretty busy during Thursday lunch, but food came out about 5-10 minutes after ordering. Price for each dish is a few dollars more than most vietnamese restaurants, but worth it to me. We tried: +Banh Mi Drip (5/5) - high recommend. Meat inside is sandwich is tender, and pairs perfectly with the caramelized onion. Dipping it in piping hot bone marrow broth makes it even better. If you can try only one thing, make it this! +Brisket pho (4/5) - solid pho, good broth with strong beef flavor and a little sweetness. I'm used to my pho with a variety of meat, but you can only choose one meat here (brisket, meatball, etc.) + Caramelized fish sauce wings (4.5/5). If you enjoy strong fish sauce flavor, this dish is for you. Small wings, but cooked and seasoned well.
google avatar

Celina S.

Yelp
For $15 I expected more. The banh mi were fine but not $15 fine. Small portion and the fillings were not exceptional quality to justify the price. Ambiance is upbeat and trendy inside. Parking tough so we did togo before a mariners game.
google avatar

Paige P.

Yelp
The flavor in the broth for BOTH the bahn mi drip AND BBH hot pot were phenomenal. It was so addicting, I was full and i STILL kept trying to eat more. I'm not from Seattle, but whenever I'm back, I'll definitely hit Saigon Drip Cafe up. Service was amazing, too. Props to Kevin, he kept checking in to make sure we were good and was super chill and gave recommendations for our trip around Seattle. WORTH THE VISIT.
google avatar

Green A.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! I was craving bahn mi so found this place on yelp and visited on Sunday afternoon. The employees were pretty friendly - they highly recommended the bahn mi drip, and said we will even get a refund if we don't like it. We ordered the bahn mi drip, grilled pork bahn mi (piggylicious), and bo la lot (grilled beef) as an appetizer. There aren't that many tables inside, and the place was packed. One downside was that the tables were not cleaned so we cleaned it ourselves. But the food came out pretty quickly and we really loved everything! Bahn mi drip (5/5): the bread was so perfect - crispy on the outside and soft in the inside that wraps super juicy and tender beef with flavorful caramelized onions and mayo that comes with a side of broth for dipping. The broth was very fragrant and yummy as well! Piggylicious (4/5): really liked the pickled veggies that were not there for the bahn mi drip. More refreshing and crunchy. But I preferred the beef in bahn mi drip over the grilled pork. Bo La lot (5/5): this was amazing! 6 pieces of bethel leave wrapped beef - these were incredibly flavorful and fragrant - we loved them. Comes with fresh lettuce and pickled veggies on the side to make lettuce wraps! Overall, really enjoyed the food here! This is one of the few places in Seattle that we definitely want to come back for more.
google avatar

Hannah V.

Yelp
This place was packed! I came in for a drink and left with a bit more. The tea was the perfect amount of sweetness and came in a cool cup. The gyoza was crispy and juicy. I'd for sure recommend this place! While waiting for my gyoza, I saw the food others got and I was jealous. Wish I had time to get a full meal there.

Yelp
Food was fresh. Staff were excellent and brought the food out to the table. Loved that the drinks were in a bottle. Decor was amazing. Would definitely recommend the Banh Mi Drop and the Cafe Sua Da.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to places for lunch! It gets really busy at Noon, for a good reason, so I typically like to order online for pick up (easy to do on their website). My favorite thing to get is the vermicelli bowl with extra pickled diakon - yummm. The portions are huge so it can usually last me another meal. Service was great even though it was busy when I dined in for lunch. It was nice that the staff offered and brought us water. I recently made it in on the weekend and finally had the opportunity to try their Bun Bo Hue. THIS IS THE BEST BUN BO HUE I'VE EVER HAD! I shared the hot pot style bbh with the rib with a friend and we devoured it. What a great idea to make it hot pot style because it stayed hot and tasty the entire time we ate it. I'm a boiling point gal so I think food tastes best hot. The only change I'd personally make is to ask for more lime on the side for more sourness and a thai chili or two (if they have it) since I like it spicy. They do have a tasty chili-satay sauce on the table as well, but for this dish in particular, I like to add spice without the saltiness. I will have to try their banh mi's and pho next!
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
These bahn mis are worth going out of your way for! They have an easy self-order kiosk and lots of selections, including easy customization and options for a vegetarian bahn mi. The service is speedy and efficient. They call out your name and bring it to your table and it's already in a little take out box if you do have leftovers. I don't expect you will though because their sandwiches are delicious. Easily in the top 3 bahn mis in the city imho. It's a small spot with some seating inside and out but it's a nice casual and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
I came here on for lunch around 12:10 which was the lunch rush so there was a line. It moved pretty quickly though and my food came out soon after I ordered. I got the banh mi drip as well as the passion fruit mango limeade. The drink is super refreshing and has great flavor. The banh mi was delicious as well! The meat is super tender and flavorful and so is the broth. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I recently visited Saigon Drip Cafe, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots in the city! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm by Caysha. The decor is modern yet cozy, with a perfect blend of Vietnamese culture and contemporary design. I tried their bánh mì, which was fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor. The balance of savory meats and crunchy veggies was spot on. The staff here is friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and eager to ensure you have a great experience. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee to go or sitting down to enjoy a meal, Saigon Drip Cafe delivers on all fronts. Overall, if you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese cafe experience with top-notch coffee and food, Saigon Drip Cafe is the place to go. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Popped in for a late lunch and they were super busy. We'd been here before it was rebranded and coincidentally had the banh mi dip. Cashier sort of pushed the dip hard when we were ordering, so we got one of those and a beef blitz. Also ordered the salted limeade which the cashier had said, "it's not that salty, they put like a pinch" and the ca phe sua da with salted foam. The salted limeade was very salty, the coffee was very sweet, the beef blitz very wet (from pickled veggies) and half the drip banh mi was very fatty. Overall, it was good- beef blitz had good flavor (the beef part), the drip wasn't too salty, and the coffee tasted like a milkshake.

Yelp
This place is SO YUMMY! ordered the banh mi drip with brisket and bone broth soup. The bread tasted amazing and was the absolute perfect texture. The broth also had great flavor and was perfect for dipping. The employees are super friendly and check in a lot and want to make sure everything is good. Interior is clean and cute and there's mouth wash in the bathroom. I came later in the evening when their menu is reduced, but I definitely will come again to try the rest of the menu!

Yelp
As much as I don't like the Pioneer Square neighborhood, I've been eyeing this place as many many clients have recommended this spot to me. The only downside is the early hours, so I had to block out a longer lunch to crawl over to Seattle to finally check out the food for myself. It did NOT disappoint. Ordered their most popular item, banh mi dip. It came with a side of pho broth to dip the banh mi, honestly it was kind of messy and I would just eat the banh mi and sip the side of soup instead. We also ordered the ribeye hot pot pho where you cook your own meat, it was a unique experience and more than enough food. Wished we had the stomach to try other things because seriously, the menu looks so good! Love the vibes here. Fun fact: They were filming for the Bachelorette close by while we were dining. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

Yelp
I love the food here! We got the spring rolls, honey fried chicken, and bánh mì drip. The bánh mì drip had a perfect balance of crispiness and sauce. The honey chicken was surely the best chicken ever. I also want to call out how kind Jasmine was in explaining all the menu items to us. She was super patient and kind, making us want to order more. This cafe has a modern twist on a Vietnamese street food stall and modernism. I would come here to hang out with friends.

Yelp
I stopped by saigon drip on a wednesday around 2pm and it was a great time! My friend and I were just looking at the menu outside and were lured inside by the smells and really friendly workers. I was greeted multiple times and asked if I needed help so I appreciated how attentive and personable the staff here are! They also gave recommendations and a run down of the menu. I love banh mis and these are their specialty, so I got their most popular item, the banh mi drip ($16.54). It's beef brisket with a side of beef bone marrow soup. I thought the flavor was great and the beef was so juicy!!! I will say the soup was on the sweeter side which surprised me and I think a more savory taste would have been better. The decor in here was really cute and they had a selfie stand that was a nice touch too! My friend and I stopped by to take some pictures with funny filters, but unfortunately, the transfer process was broken? and we just took pictures of the screen instead. I also have to say the prices are a bit expensive but I did overall enjoy the food and experience!

Yelp
OMG. I ordered the pho hot pot and drip banh mi. The pho is the BEST I have ever had. That is the best review I have given because my mom is an amazing cook and I also cook pho for my children.

Yelp
If you haven't tried the brisket pho at Saigon Drip, you are seriously missing out. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the brisket is melt in your mouth perfection. And don't even get me started on the Banh Mi Drip Sandwich, it's a flavor explosion with every bite! Their fish sauce wings are also to die for. Crispy, a little tangy, and super addictive! What really makes Saigon Drip stand out are the incredible owners and staff. They're the friendliest, most hospitable bunch you'll ever meet. They make you feel like a VIP every time you walk in the door. So if you're in the mood for some amazing Vietnamese food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Saigon Drip is the place to be. Just writing this review is making me hungry. Your taste buds will thank you!

Yelp
Being Vietnamese-American, I thought I've had all of the Phở experiences but what I didn't know that I was missing out on the ribeye hotpot phở experience pho-real! What an amazingly delicious experience. The phở broth was perfect and the ribeye dipped into the hot broth cooked to your liking! My wife and I made a day trip to Seattle from Portland and was so glad to have stopped by Saigon Drip Cafe. From the hotpot ribeye phở to the cà phê sữa đá to banh mi, everything was well crafted! Very cute and tight knit interior and the staff was super quick and nice as we went during the lunch rush, cảm ơn Saigon Drip Cafe! We'll be back.

Yelp
Great banh mi! We got the banh mi dip which was amazing and definitely one of the best banh mi's you can get in seattle. I'd love to come back to try the others!! Ambiance and decor was all super cute. 4 stars because the vermicelli bowl was just ok, and the coffee was too bitter. But great place for banh mi!

Yelp
10 out of 10. Wow. Super tasty bahn mis with incredibly friendly staff. Ordered two Vietnamese iced coffees with this salted egg cold foam and they come in these really cute sealed cans! It was $40 for two sandwiches and coffees which feels steep but it was rather delicious and there was plenty of space for us to sit, even though its quite a small fast casual place.

Yelp
WOW. We got the Saigon drip ban mi and that was incredible. I brought it home and I was using my fingers to get whatever was left on the plate after I was done. Delicious and I'm saving the broth to drink it later. The cool thing too about this is that banh mi was originally made during the time the French were in Vietnam and this combo really respects the cultural history behind the meal. The limeade was good too. The service was fast as well. We got a standard banh mi as well and that was good. I personally like the banh mi at than son tofu bakery slightly more, but this was good too. Their specialty is definitely the Saigon drip and I think that's what people should get first time around.

Yelp
Kind of easy to miss from the outside at first. Came in for lunch with the family. It's a self order, then grab a seat kind of place. The place isn't too big with some tables and stool/standing seating. Was excited to see they had bun bo hue, so I had to get it. It was a huge bowl with a good variety of veggies to add. The appearance looked good, but unfortunately, the taste was alright. The noodles weren't cooked all the way. The broth was sweet like a pho broth and was missing the shrimpy and lemon grass flavor. I will admit though that the bowl kept me full until the night time! Their ca phe sua da is very strong! My dad couldn't even drink it so I took it. I couldn't finish it either.

Yelp
What we ordered : 1 banh mi 2 brisket pho Banh mi was really good! I've never had a banh mi like this one. Meat was juicy tender & flavorful. It was very filling, definitely of my favorite banh mis in the city now :) I also love that it comes with a side of pho broth if you're debating between a pho and banh mi it's nice to have the side of broth to satisfy the craving. Pho was really good too, I like their broth & they give a good amount of noodles. I would definitely order again. Total came out to 58.92 after tip We ordered pick up so we didn't get much interaction but they did greet us so no complaints on the service. The space looked cool, I hope to come back and enjoy the space & dine in next time!

Yelp
What an incredible experience. I used to work downtown in the Smith tower and would have been able to come here almost every day had that continued. This place has only been open for about a year now one of the employees told me. What a hidden gem in Pioneer Square. Met a friend here for lunch today. We both had the banh mi dip and a side of six shrimp spring rolls. We came in the middle of their lunch rush, but they are very quick and efficient and we didn't wait more than seven or eight minutes. Seating inside the place is a little bit tight, but they have several large tables and no one seems to mind if you share their space. Wait staff was very friendly and kept the lobby and seating area clean. The food was delicious. The sandwich was incredibly tasty and the side dipping sauce made it even better. I look forward to my next visit and highly encourage all my friends to visit and try this place.

Yelp
Love the innovation of this place! Saigon Drip takes Vietnamese food and takes it to a new level! I came here with my boyfriend and we ordered the banh mi drip and WORLD* Famous Chicken Wings (Haunted Heatwave flavor) with some drinks like the Cafe Sua and the Passion fruit Mango Limeade. The banh mi drip was something I've never seen or done before with my banh mi. Basically the banh mi comes with pho broth, which you dip your banh mi that contains pho brisket and caramelized onions into! This gives off a savory flavor that elevates the whole idea of a regular banh mi. I would highly recommend the banh mi drip. The WORLD* Famous Chicken Wings in the flavor Haunted Heatwave were good, but boy were they spicy! My boyfriend had to down water to calm down. The flavor is definitely manageable if you have high spice tolerance like me, but definitely be sure to order drinks to go with it. The Cafe Sua was rich and strong for my boyfriend, I'm not a coffee person so I didn't really like it. I really liked the Passion Fruit Mango Limeade though! It was very refreshing and perfect! We originally came to Saigon Drip to try out the Bun Bo Hue hotpot but they didn't have it on the day we came so we choose those other items to eat. Overall, I am really satisfied with what we ate and definitely will come back for the Bun Bo Hue!

Yelp
Ever tried to eat pho without utensils? They have you order at a kiosk. I made sure I requested utensils on their touch screen. My order was up and I walked out with my to-go bag but something reminded me about their shortcomings from my last experience. Once outside I stopped in my tracks and took look in the bag. Well what do you know, they forgot to add utensils. I looked at the order ticket attached outside of the to-go bag. Yep, it had "utensils" printed on there. Proper training is lacking or they just hire negligent staff. If you're going to a game or concert just skip this place. You're paying a premium for lackluster service. I also didn't realize they got an "Okay" health inspection rating until someone told me about it. Grab something in Chinatown-International District instead. Take the Weller Street Pedestrian Bridge or walk along Jackson St from Pioneer Square.
