Wife and I tried the Jambalaya Pasta with fried shrimp and Shrimp Alfredo Pasta with fried catfish. The food was beyond great. It was magnificent! The service was outstanding. We were given a couple of turkey necks to sample as we waited for our order. Each plate is made to order. We will be patronizing this eatery for the foreseeable future. If you haven't stopped by, that's your fault!

Absolutely amazing experience at Mr. Shrimp Kitchen 504! From the moment we walked up, the customer service and staff were top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was incredible, with bold, authentic New Orleans flavor that truly hits the mark. The fried shrimp and fish were perfectly seasoned and crispy, the shrimp pasta was rich and flavorful, and the turkey neck was fall-off-the-bone tender. This place is hands-down the best of the best. Highly recommend!

This was our first time experiencing Mr. Shrimp and it will NOT be our last! Everything from the customer service to the food is top tier. The owner was not cooking our food, but he was very engaging. The food is seasoned perfectly. I look forward to going back.

What a hidden treasure!! Attended a conference in New Orleans and was desperate for a meal. Walked over to the mall and was blown away by the Mr. Shrimps jambalaya pasta!!! Just the right amount of everything! Go get some! The chef here knows what he’s doing! ****So stinkn’ good I had to go back again…..even better the 2nd time! 8/22/2025****

Man! Impossible to say enough nice things about this joint. The FOOD. Come on! You can’t go wrong, but the Jambalaya pasta was crazy. Even met Mr. Shrimp himself, one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I bought a shirt and he signed it! Everyone working here was also so dope. Do yourself a favor and visit Mr. Shrimp! Also–it shows up as 2 locations on google. The right one is the one by the river. Can’t wait to come back!

I was walking through the food court and I was offered a potato. The flavor in the potato made me know my mouth and stomach were about to be real happy. The shrimp 🦐 rich boy with fries did it all for me. I also got the potatoes and corn on the side. The potato was amazing, but I don't have enough characters to describe how delicious the corn 🌽 was. 20/10 definitely recommended. Flavor explosion 💥.

This is a place that I’ve been trying to get to for a long time. Finally got the chance to go today and The expectations Were beat!!! The food is hot, fresh, & Delicious!!! The shrimps are huge. & And the food is season so well that I did not need any sauce. 10/10. Will be coming back to try the seafood.

Visiting Nola for the first time and happened to walk by Mr.Shrimp’s Kitchen. I love seafood so it wasn’t a hard decision to try it. I ordered the fried shrimp and fry platter. Which comes with 12 shrimp and a nice amount of fries. While waiting for our food to cook we were offered to try the shrimp and potato that comes with the boil. Well, let me tell you…. I have never had shrimp or potato that I didn’t need to add seasoning to. This was the best sample I have ever had. Seasoned to perfection!!! The fried shrimp and fries were delicious as well. I also want to mention the staff were so friendly and pleasant. I will definitely be returning before my trip is over to get a boil. If you’re on the fence about trying this place. TRY IT!!! You will not be disappointed!!

If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. hUGE portions of fresh, delicious and made-to-order food. Shrimp, sausage and corn boil for husband, shrimp "rich boy" for me. The shrimp are HUGE. The "rich boy" shrimp are also pretty high in and have a light batter than complements the tender shrimp. Service was friendly, enthusiastic and joyful. Great find in the Riverwalk shopping area!

Date of visit: December 19, 2024 Let's be clear: This is a mall food court, so if you are expecting fine dining or a professional atmosphere, you will be mistaken. However, if you are looking for excellent food made by an energetic staff, you have come to the right place! Another win for Yelp, guiding me to this location that I never would have expected to find at an Outlet Mall, Mr Shrimp's Kitchen had food even better than Dragos Seafood within the Hilton for less cost. Between the three of us we had a Pretty (that's what they call it) Salmon Salad, Fried Shrimp with Fries, and Shrimp Alfredo that came with a side of garlic bread. Both the fried shrimp and the Alfredo were excellent! The garlic bread was clearly store-bought, but I love garlic bread so I won't knock them for this! Really the only reason I can't go five stars is that they didn't have water. Not through the fountain or even bottled water to purchase. They sent me over to Fat Tuesday, but they weren't even open, so if became a time-consuming game of Who Sells Water? that took me away from my food for far longer than it should have.

Yo Mr. Shrimp, you did that! I went there with a co-worker and order food. We ordered the food online and went to pick it up. The food was FRESH and hot. I ordered a shrimp (12) plate with fries and a drink. My co-worker ordered a shrimp and fish (2 pieces) plate with fries. We also ordered another plate which was a shrimp poboy..The fried shrimp are also deveined. I know I say that like I'm shocked and I am because all places don't do that. The down side to ordering online is that you can't customize your poboy..The food was so hot even when we made it back to work..I'm definitely recommending Mr. Shrimp! A big plus is he was there with the employees helping them..no he wasn't training them he was being helpful. Yall go to the Riverwalk and check em out! Mr. Shrimp get a food truck lol

Being from out of town, we were in Riverwalk Food Court and were welcomed to try a sample. Decided to eat there. DELICIOUS. They have a nice selection. Had their Grlled Shrimp salad. Lots of food. Not everything is spicy. The folks were super friendly and professional. Would recommend everybody come try. Hollis made it a very pleasant experience.

Definitely do not skip out on eating at this establishment. My friend who is a local had recommended that we try this spot. On the first time we came to the mall we didn't see any signage for the restaurant so we left. I then got a message from my friend letting me know that they were actually in the food court but they did not have any signage on the main mall maps at this point. We circled back the next day and we were so happy that we got to enjoy the tasty food at Mr. shrimp's. We stopped in before heading on our steamboat cruise so we wanted to eat lunch. We shared the crawfish and shrimp pasta which had a side of catfish. It was definitely enough food for us to feel satiated however we could have ate more we just didn't want to be stuffed on the cruise. The pasta was tasty and the shrimp were huge. We really enjoyed the catfish which I hooked up with some of their hot sauce. Baby that hot sauce is fire and I wish I would have purchased a bottle ago I don't even know if that's an option but it was delicious. Hands down the next time we come back to Nola we're going to mister shrimps not once but at least twice. I really do wanna try their other all offerings and it was just nice chatting it up with the owners and the workers because everyone was so genuine. Wishing all the success to this new business in the mall and I'm telling you do not pass it up if you were reading this review..... you just need to go eat there!!!!!!!!!!!

Service was not the best. I ordered the seafood boil and asked the worker if I could get a lemon she said they didn't have any when I clearly saw some in a bag. I was excited to try this spot based on reviews however when I tried the actual food it was a bit salty for me. So I had to go back again to ask for lemon. I politely asked if I could get a lemon and the other worker made a comment about me asking for the lemon, saying that I wasn't salty enough. I offered to even pay for it because I felt uncomfortable at this point. The original worker who said they had no lemon actually came out of the booth and just glared at me. Overall the food was okay, nothing out of this world. But the service wasn't good. I wouldn't go back again based on this experience.

Hands down, without question, the best fried shrimp I've ever had. A local recommended it and we were skeptical of going to a mall food court for a good meal but it was spectacular.

5 Stars 10 out of 10 highly recommend! Mr. shrimp's kitchen is a new restaurant located in the river walk food court. They recently opened on November 17, 2023. This is a family ran business with a lot of heart, a lot of soul, and a lot of flavor. If personality could be sold, they could add it to the menu as well. Mr. Shrimp and Cousin Shrimp are seen customer facing in the front, taking orders and preparing meals. This dynamic duo trying wants you to experience next level dishes through their food. My husband ordered the shrimp Alfredo w/ fried catfish. HIS WORDS: "that was the creamiest alfredo I've ever had, without the appearance of looking too heavily sauced". The dish was low in sodium but didn't lack in flavor. The taste was like "someone's mama made it in the kitchen." He was very pleased, and the catfish was battered and seasoned perfectly. After going back and forth I settled on the Shrimp Yakamein, posted on their sign. Being a Baltimore native I'm use to a different style of yakamein, gravy base, fatter noodles. However after Mr. Shrimp gave me a small sample of the broth (alone), my decision was made!!! ILL TAKE 1 PLEASE! Before I knew it, I was being handed a 32oz container of Yakamein, piping hot. It contained fresh cut chives, 1 egg split in half, spaghetti style noodles, and a heaping portion of broth filled to the brim! I felt like Dora the Explorer eating this... "yum yum yum Delicioso"! I'm blessed to have my first New Orleans Yakamein experience at Mr. Shrimp! I'm excited to see where this journey takes them next. The ambiance is typical foodcourt vibes, but their restaurant was clean! The pots and pans seemed like well seasoned pots and pans straight from grandmas kitchen. These guys really take pride in what they are doing here in the Riverwalk! They are extremely humbled and blessed for the opportunity they've been given here at this location. Check out the pics, and videos, and RUN DONT walk to Mr. Shrimp. My ONLY recommendation is to offer a 16oz option. I'm not a huge portion person, and I hate to be wasteful because the portion is so large. I ended up sharing it with my husband. Lastly, the prices are affordable and on par with the portions you get! I wish Mr. Shrimp nothing but the best in the future of his business, and Happy early birthday to him as well. (Feb 8th)

At NOLA convention center and took an afternoon session break out the outlet food court next door. surrounded by deep fry choices, happy I found the sautéed salmon and shrimp salad at Mr Shrimps Kitchen-it's delicious and sautéed expertly while you watch. Paired with the water view deck it's much more of a treat than I expected at an outlet mall. Also love the reasonable price of $25. Coming from Seattle I know my seafood and this is wonderful- including perfectly seasoned salmon skin on the filet with just right crunch and amount of fat. Customer service from Kirtrina was excellent. 3 more days of conference and I will definitely be back.

What They Miss In Taste, They Makeup In Service. Mr Shrimp's Kitchen is located inside of the Riverwalk Outlet (food court) Mall. There's a large community eating area if you choose to dine in. What They Miss In Taste, They Makeup In Service! The Staff is very friendly and entertaining. The Manager or Owner (not sure which) is so sweet. He has the best personality! I ordered the boil shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. Food Review: Shrimp - boiled waaaaaay too long. They were very mushy! However, the seasoning and flavor was great. Corn - dry, but well seasoned. The spices are really soaked in. Sausage - OMG! The salt taste is overpowering. However the pop and taste are good. Potatoes - best item in the boil. Perfect consistency, best flavor and very delicious. Overall the food was OK. I will return because they know how to treat their Customers. Also, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are plentiful.

Very nice fried shrimp and catfish with fried. Both fried after you order them so they were nice and hot! Was able to sit outside and look at the Mississippi. The staff working were super friendly!

Absolutely delicious. I don't know how else to put it. It's located in the Riverwalk food court and is so so good. The people who work there have a bunch of character and confidence in that definitely comes out in their food. I got the fried shrimp and fries combo and ate every last drop. I would recommend coming around 11/11:30am because they are very busy during the eatery rush hours. Definitely give it a try when you're in the area. You won't regret it.

Stumbled on Mr. Shrimp's perusing the mall, and couldn't be happier. The friendly staff tempted me over with a sampling of their seafood boil and reeled me in for a delicious plate of jambalaya pasta and catfish. The food was made on order, nothing premade and it was piping hot and delicious. I can taste the soul and the love in the spices and seasoning, not what I expected in a mall food court. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area, it's worth the stroll.

My husband and I were shopping and worked up an appetite. We were contemplating what to eat when one of the chef's at this spot had us try a sample of some potatoes. When I tell you that one bite sold us, we went ahead and ordered the shrimp alfredo. It was so good and filled with shrimp which was very tasty along with the garlic bread! Definitely a must try if you haven't been!!

Sandwiched in between a Canes and Pei Wei in the mall food court, I didn't know what to expect. But after taking my order for shrimp jambalaya, when Mr shrimp blasted his tunes, popped a generous amount of butter in a fresh pan and turned up the flame on his grill, I knew I'd be alright. Obivously cooked with soul as the fresh ingredients and generous portion of shrimp are transformed into a meal... Delicious!

I'm trying to eat healthy so I had the salmon and shrimp salad. It was delicious! Grilled and perfectly seasoned. Excellent!

I read an article about this place opening and thought I'd try it out.... GO!! lol. It is fabulous food! I had shrimp and fries. The shrimp was delicious, not too full of batter and seasoned well! Both fries and shrimp were cooked to a perfect temp and large portions I was given a taste test of the boiled potatoes for the shrimp boil and those too were delicious... I just didn't feel like peeling shrimp lol. Maybe next time!

The energy was welcoming and inviting. I ordered the fish and shrimp basket. The seasoning was superb. It was top-tier. I will definitely return to this place all the way from Texas in the very near future. I really enjoyed the energy of the place and the food. It was a clean environment and the food was inviting. It really exceeded my expectations. I give it a two thumbs ups. Keep up the good work keep up the good job Mr. shrimp's kitchen.

I would definitely recommend this place if you're in New Orleans. Even though it's a restaurant in a mall food court the quality of the food was on point. Being the big buy that I am, when I walked up to the counter I asked the guy about the portions and he was like, "Just watch as I put the food on these plates." Man he didn't disappoint. I had the fried shrimp with fries. The shrimp were big and seasoned to perfection. I ate it so fast I didn't even get a picture. My son had the boiled shrimp with corn and potatoes and he couldn't even eat it all. The guys behind the counter were very down to earth, we had joking conversation as I waited for my food to finish. Definitely as must try if your in the area.

Worst service ever. Customers are not served in order. Sign says 15 wait. I'm at 40 minutes and still no order. Even those with my same order served earlier. I will not return.

Customer service and time of wait is horrendous- I ordered food at 3:27 and food was not out until 4:03. I understand that the food is cooked to order but how did the customers behind us get their food before us

Wow! What a find in the food court in the Riverwalk! Had the boiled shrimp , potato and corn plate. Delicious. Shrimp were large, cooked exactly right and seasoned perfectly! Most importantly the shrimp are easy to peel! Give this place a shot. It's worth it. To top it off you can eat outside with a view of the river! I think it's the only place in Orleans parish that you can buy and eat boiled seafood on the river. This is not food court food.

I am soooo happy I tried this restaurant. First and foremost, the customer service is impeccable! The vibe from everyone there was amazing!!! I truly enjoyed the hospitality and friendliness from the staff. It felt like being right at home! I ordered the crab boil and it was amazing! It was well seasoned and the turkey necks and potatoes in the boil were tender and very flavorful! Along with the jumbo shrimp and corn. I initially thought I would need it dripping in sauce or seasoning but I was wrong. My friend went over and ordered the pasta and that was amazing as well! If I could stretch my stomach even more I would have gotten some to go! This was one of the best experiences I've had since being in town and I will definitely return. Thank you all for being simply amazing!

Food was great.You like shrimp boil give this place a try. Simple plate of shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage.

Food was cooked to order and was worth the wait. The only drawback is that you can only order their combo meals no exceptions or substitutions so be prepared to pay a big price for French fries you may not want.
