If this had a half star I would rated a half star, will since I'm pregnant i was craving donuts I went here cause it Said 24hrs. But when I went Wasn't open, my Ass 24hrs. Is not 24hrs open.

The people that run this place treat you like family... They have such good Vietnamese iced coffee I swear to God and sandwiches..

Great customer service and price. They are now selling authentic Khmer fruits; like, phermented mango..and more.

Great donuts, not many selection. You can find others snacks at this place. Also, I get free small donuts.

What I Ordered: -Raised Glazed Donut $1.65 The Raised Glazed Donut was fresh and very soft. It was sweet as expected, but wasn't a good donut as I've had better. I went on a weekday morning and it wasn't very busy. Donut shops should be busy in the morning, if they're any good. That's my personal opinion. I would give the Raised Glazed a score of a 2.5-3 out of 5. Staff was very friendly! I wouldn't come back as there wasn't a large selection of donuts and the quality was so-so.

My review is solely based on my desperate craving after a long shift at work. I was on an hour drive back home in search of a donut shop that was en route. All I could think of was a single cinnamon sugar donut and some donut holes for my girlfriend. I stumbled across this place by accident. I was greeted nicely by the worker. He gave a few extra donut holes free of charge and even rounded down my total to the nearest dollar. I've never had such accommodations from a donut shop before! Unlike other reviews, they make a solid donut. There's nothing to complain here since I was not going for a variety dozen. Thank you for hooking it up!

I was in a bad mood and opted for a donut to ease the pain ;) The donut shop is nicely organized and clean. They also sell lottery at this place. Sugar raised donut ($1.10): it looks nice and fluffy, but the taste was off. Not greasy, but it tasted like old oil? Friendly service! 3 stars!! Mr Steve's Donuts is almost yummylicious!!

Mr Steves makes solid donuts. Nothing fancy but quality is solid and they open early. The only cons for me is that they used to open 5:30am and now not til 6am and I believe they only accept cash. Parking is convenient but limited and prices are relatively good compared to a dozen other places. I wouldn't venture out in any other foods here besides donuts though. Or even coffee for that matter. But donuts: solid.

I enjoyed Mr Steve's donuts. Pleasant and straight forward old school donuts. Great prices as well

What a dark, dingy, sad gambling parlor this place is. The clerk was almost shocked that I ordered a donut. The whole business seems to be lottery tickets. Nobody is happy here, not even the stale old sad donuts. This place must have been a little more hopeful once upon a time. The 24 hour signs combined with bright colors and checkerboard floors almost make me tear up. Now they close hours before dark and whatever meager selection is available has been stale for hours. My donut was pretty much what I expected, so they get a second star.

Mr Steve is reliable, and the donuts are good. I visited Mr Steve's on a Sunday morning around 8:30 am, and ordered 4 dozen donuts. The total was ~$39, which equals roughly .81 cents a donut. At this time, there wasn't as much selection as I would've hoped, and they were entirely out of the classic glazed round donuts (*womp, womp*). Considering I'd expect weekend mornings to be one of their busiest hours, I was disappointed. However, not to fear, as they still had a couple of my other favorites - cake style, and twisted glaze. I've had Mr Steve's donuts on two occasions, and have enjoyed them both times. As a fan of cake style donuts with sprinkles on top, theirs are dense, and moist, with a perfect amount of glaze. No old oil taste here. The apple fritters are also worth trying - cinnamon baked apple chunks with a delicate blanket of glaze atop the hearty donut. Parking is in the lot. Card and cash is accepted. The staff here is friendly, and the woman cashier offered to help carry my four pink boxes of donuts to my car. I appreciated their kind service. I'll likely return when the craving strikes, and I'm hoping on my next visit, there's more variety!

This place is trash. Went in for bacon egg and cheese, they didn't have bacon. I said that's fine just do turkey. Lady spent 10 min making this sandwich probably bc they were out of proper ingredients and she was trying to figure out what she could put in as a substitute. Sandwich literally had gross ass pre-made pepper eggs, low quality turkey, and chipotle mayo and relish in it. So nasty. Why not just tell me you don't have the right ingredients instead of being dishonest.

Haven't been here for a while..but they have bahn mi (and before the bahn mi che cali moved in next door)... hehe and great donuts ... relatively cheap too. They have a good variety of donuts. Love their old fashioned glaze donuts, bear claws, apple fritters, and more. And ooh nice coffee and good selection of drinks. Hehe Only bad thing...lots of loiters

Been craving a good sandwich but haven't been able to get my hands on one till today. Was craving donuts and decided to stop by here. Donuts are very good not Lacking anything. Coffee is decent. I was debating on trying a sandwich.. But the pictures on the wall looked good so I gave it a try. I got a ham and cheese with everything. The lady toasted the bread in the oven so my bread was crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. So simple yet very good. Will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in a mood for another sandwich or donut.

The place has been around for as long as I can remember. My brother buys donuts from this place once in a while. Yesterday my brother gave me his Ice Coffee from here. I was surprised that it was ice coffee I liked. I'm not a big fan of Ice Coffee, but usually when my brother gets it and lets me have it it's good. This morning I was craving for donuts and couldn't really think of anything close by. Yelped the closest donut place and to my surprise its this spot. Went in got my donuts and left for home. Was a quick drive to get donuts, I see myself coming back more often since the donuts are good. My friend tells me he gets banh mi here and likes it. I don't like banh mi so I wouldn't try it. Closest donut shop for anyone who lives near garvey between new and san gabriel probably. Good spot to just get a quick donut fix.

This is a super friendly donut shop. I live super close by, so I've been going to this place for almost my entire life! Everyone is so nice and my experience has never been bad there. The donuts aren't bad, but I did see flys flying around the donuts a few times before. Ive never ordered anything else like sandwiches or anything else like that other than donuts. My parents tend to get coffee from there, and I think they do like it. This wouldn't be my first choice for donuts, but it is pretty decent with the good service.

(I didn't buy any, on a diet) ;) A friendly looking Asian man took care of my Powerball tickets and then he said "GOOD LUCK!" I felt like I needed more than good luck, I needed a miracle of winning the 1/175 million jackpot! But, it's good to dream right people? ;) There were also some more friendly or just minding their own business older Asian men sitting around scratching their scratchers & drinking their coffees; looks like they were having a blast or just chilling :P I CAME OUT: Then, I went to my car & drove home! ------------- I will be back, back, back! When the Powerball is high & tempting once again! ;)

My family and I have been going to this donut shop since forever! The only good donut place in San Gabriel. I've been to various places around and none compare to the freshness. They have a lot of type of donuts. Best time to come is in the morning. Late at night they don't have a lot of variety to pick from. I'm guessing because not a lot of customers. Still, my favorite place to go!

So...I was really craving some homemade cookies around SGV until I realized that there weren't any (unless someone can prove me wrong..send me a message!). Refusing to give up I decided I'd patron the first local donut shop I saw to get my fill instead. Located in a strip mall with unremarkable signage, it's real easy to miss. It says it's opened 24 hrs but I have no idea if this is true. I walk in and it reminds me of my childhood when my dad used to take me summer mornings for a chocolate donut covered in fudge and crushed peanuts. I'd also order an orange crush soda in a can or a cup of hot chocolate. Yes, I was a fat child. So I get another chocolate iced cake and a cruller just to make sure I'd satisfy my hunger. They also have a variety of other glazed, sugared, and chocolate covered delights. I'm sure they have coffee, and on the side are refrigerators of other bottled beverages to buy. The lady over the counter was very nice and you get your usual customers who smoke and chat outside and those who come in just to buy lotto tickets, but they kind of make the donut shop a valuable place for everyone to gather. I kind of like it. Aside from all the nostalgia, the donuts were great: moist cake covered in sweet glaze, they taste awesome and are cheap too. One less star because I think they can branch out with their donut varieties since their offerings look pretty standard. I'll probably start a bad tradition of coming here more often. You should too!

This donut shop has an old school feel to it. They have fresh basic donuts for a fair price. I saw some people drinking coffee, but I did not have any. Looks like they make sandwiches also. I will be back when in the area.

What a great donut place. Good sandwich, donuts are fresh and the place is always clean and organized. Highly recommend it.

TLDR: The service was awesome. The glazed donuts were airy and not the absolute best, but well worth the price. I would come again. I had a huge order with the nearby Banh Mi Che Cali and needed to call them in order to confirm my order. Banh Mi Che Cali wouldn't pick up, so I called this place to run over there and confirm for me. While this is an odd request, the cashier did that for me and my order was still made. As a thank you, I decided to get a dozen donuts from here. I had a dozen glazed donuts since that's the way you test the quality of donuts. The other people I was with liked them and said that they would come back in the future. I was only able to try them late in the day whereas I had gotten them early morning. They were slightly crushed, but still surprisingly airy. The flavor was not too sweet nor too bland for a glazed donut. Overall, these donuts were not the absolute best, but at the price point: they were definitely worth it. I would come here again.

This is a classic SGV 24 hour donut shop! Went in about 8:00pm donut variety was the standard basics but fresh and yummy! Coffee was good too. Keep in mind it's on Garvey sooo expect the odd ball or two!!

They are not opened 24 hour I jave come here multiple times and they are closed.Seems like they close around 9 pm or 10 pm.

I forgot to write a review but this is for that time. Came for donuts at 3am. Doors are obviously locked so I went to the little window on the left side of the door. I was knocking on the door and yelling hello. I went to the right and saw a man there and kept knocking but figured they don't want my business. Wasted time coming and there was no way he didn't hear me unless he was deaf.

I was craving donuts and had fond childhood memories of this place. That familiar atmosphere with a retro menu, older Asian men squatting outside with coffee in their hands, and my eyes scanning their selection of donuts threw a fragrance of nostalgia in the air. However, let's get to the actual review: the place is stocked very standardly. Coffee, donuts, sandwiches, chips, soda, and a few other oddities were present- I didn't pay attention to their complete stock. I ordered ten donut holes, a small coffee, and a ham and cheese sandwich. It honestly had been a while since I'd last been to a donut shop, so I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap everything was. However, prices do not always dictate quality. :) The donut holes were nice, sweet, a little moist and chewy- I enjoyed that thoroughly. However, this was not the best part. The ham and cheese sandwich was very unexpected. It was very cheaply made: hamburger buns, two thin slides of square ham, a slice of melted cheese, and it seemed like some form of relish topped it all off. It was soft and warm, and the buns were nice and fluffy! It wasn't too hot, and every bite had its ingredients proportioned just right. However, this was also not the best part. The coffee! I ordered a small black coffee, and I can honestly say that this was the /best/ cup of coffee I've ever had, and that is no exaggeration. I couldn't find the cream, but there was a selection of pure sugar and zero calorie alternatives, so I took a very small amount of sugar in my coffee- it was nearly black. The temperature of the coffee was perfect! Often times when I do order hot coffee from other places, I get exactly what I ask for- of course, I mean singed taste buds. However, the coffee here was served just right. Hot enough to warm my stomach up, but not hot enough to burn every cell of my digestive tract. The coffee was so smooth, and even though it there was barely any sugar, it didn't give me a headache and a look of pain on my face, like every other time I've supplemented black coffee for sleep. It was the perfect cup, and I would come here again /just/ for the coffee! All in all, this is a very nice little spot. The sign doesn't stand out, so you'd probably only notice this place if you were really looking for a donut place. Very good experience.

I ordered a breakfast ham and cheese sandwich or something like that. I wouldn't know. I never tried it. About 15 minutes after I ordered it, I still had not received it. I was in a hurry at that point as I needed to get back to work. I waited with my small coffee I had ordered. I had to decide--be late or wait for these nudniks to finish my sandwich. The place was crowded so I will give them that. However I was getting mad as now I am late. They informed me they were making my sandwich but the clock was ticking. I finally walked out without my sandwich and I was pissed. As I drove away I realized I don't remember paying for my coffee and sandwich. If that is the case, I'm glad I got a free coffee out of it. Never again, unless I have a good hour to kill.

They have the best Vietnamese sandwich EVER. It takes them quite some time to prepare it, but SO worth the wait. I don't actually come here for donuts, but when I do, it's for the donut holes :) OH! and lottery and scratchers too, of course while I'm waiting on my sandwich.

I love coming here! Always have nice, fast and friendly service!! Sandwiches here are good too! Love the hotdog lunch specials for quick and cheap lunches hehe.

I can only comment on how wonderful the donuts are when fresh outta the fryer at 4:15 in the morning. Perfect glaze, slightly doughy, and simply THE best mom n pop donut I've ever had!

This place is a sketch ! Do not come here. Went with my friends to buy the croissant ham and cheese on the menu it says 1.50 but the asain man around his 40's and wears glasses charged us 2.50. After we confronted him he told us he used the hambuger buns that's why its 2.50. Looked inside it was the ham and cheese croissant.

We went to order at night using the window that's available until 4AM. Worker just ignored us. Don't go out of your way to come here if you would actually like service.

I've been coming here since the late 1980's. Different owners, my grandfather used to have his coffee here and I used to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ninja Gaiden when they used to have arcade games for the kids. Donuts are great, owners are friendly, and the place is clean. What more can I ask for? Oh and the memories!
