Google
This sushi restaurant is kind of hidden but it's actually really good once you find it. The fish was fresh and the sashimi pieces were large. Service was good and very quick. Jeon and Vivi are excellent at taking care of their guests. Very kind and attentive. Thank you!

Google
I have lived and worked in the area for almost 5 years and I’m sad I haven’t tried this place sooner! First time ordering take out, and I already can’t wait to have my next dining experience eating in! Great food, great quality, great quality and excellent service! See you soon Mr. Terriyaki!

Vlad T.

Google
Nice sushi spot near the airport. Known for their teriyaki chicken. Greet service and food quality was excellent.

Google
Had the Chicken Teriyaki. Excellent! Filled me up. Also had the stuffed jalapeños. Betwr than expected! Went back a week later and ordered the same. Delicious! Friendly lady up front, as well.

Google
Quaint clean hole in the wall, tucked back in a business industrial park. Staff is friendly, attentive and the food is of quality with plenty of selections for anyone. I liked it so much I went for 3 evenings in a row, ate and drank something different every time. I went right when they opened at 5pm, go early, fills up quick on some nights! Worth it.

Google
Cool hole in the wall place, was hungry and came upon this spot. They had a good selection of Japanese dishes where you would definitely find something you would like. Service was great and food came out quick. Definitely will be back when I’m in the area!

Google
I haven't been to place in so long that I didn't even know they moved.  It was a little hard to find, kind of hidden.   Thanks to Google Maps, I found it, and there was parking. Inside, it looked small and had a nice simple layout. Not cluttered or anything, it was nice and organized.  I had placed my order over the phone and was picking up.   The lady who had taken my order was super nice and helpful.   I was trying to figure out what the difference was between rice bowl and ordering the entree.   She informed me that the only difference was that the rice bowl had more rice. While I was waiting,  I liked that to my left, I could watch Itamae skillfully prepare and make the sushi.  It made me wish I had ordered more sushi.  I'll order more next time. I ordered: 1.  Gyoza - It was crunchy and fresh, I loved the sauce that went with it as well.  It had a little kick. 2.  California roll - fresh and has a sweet taste to it 3.  Beef and veggie bowl  -  Hefty size, it had a lot of cabbage.  I'm not a fan of cabbage, but it's one way to get me to eat veggies. 4.  Beef bowl  -  The meat was nice and tender.   It did come with extra rice.  I think next time I'll order extra meat or something.  It wasn't enough meat and needed a little more sauce.  I ended up giving my husband my beef to kind of balance it out some more. Overall, it was a great experience.  I can't wait to come back soon.  The prices were reasonably priced.  Great service, and the 2 aunties that helped me with pick up was super nice.

Google
It was a very good sushi place, seemed a little of the beaten path! I would recommend! The sushi rolls are good and the chicken rice bowl was good too for the kiddo!

Yelp
Quick take: recommend by a friend This spot was recommend by a friend. The food is delicious and the service is also 5 stars. Can't go wrong going to Mr. Teriyaki. Bentos are good. Rolls are also good.

Yelp
I'll start by saying that's it's good that it had good reviews. Otherwise, I would have seen the location and left without going inside. It's in a dark corner of a parking lot behind a building. It's a small restaurant with limited seating. No liquor but they had beer and wine. The nigiri was expensive but the portion size was generous and was roll that I had was very good! Service was good, but nothing exceptional. Will go back next time I'm flying out of SFO.

Yelp
I recommend this place for people craving sushi rolls staying in the hotels near the airport off of Bayshore in Burlingame. I recommend the sushi and rolls. The Bento boxes are probably good for lunch weekdays and less expensive? 18.95? The Bentos are $24.95 at dinner. The food is ok and portions are not as large as some touted a few years back. We do not recommend the tempura items. Stick with sushi or single entree items. We were not as impressed with the Bento boxes

Yelp
It was close to my hotel as I'm traveling and I just saw I could quickly walk to it. So I went. Now though if I'm back in town I will even drive to it no matter where I'm staying at. This is a totally legit Japanese place. The server and the hostess were both perfect. Since I had not really eaten the entire day, I did order a bit much of food but every single one was delicious. This is a great little spot for sure.

Nicole H.

Yelp
Cute little spot. We were staying at one of the airport hotels and wanted a walk and some sushi. We got both. Fish was good service was nice food was good.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice spot to walk from the hotel for a very good sushi dinner. The nigiri and the rolls were fresh and service was quick and very friendly. Will go back for sure.

Yelp
I was craving sushi and came across this hole in the wall spot nearby. 10s across the board for the quality of food, service, price, and availability of parking. Since coming here in the last 4 months, I've gone quite a bit for a quick bite. So grateful to have come across this business!
google avatar

Jason X.

Yelp
When there's consistent business at a place as out of the way as this, then you know it's good. We really liked the sushi and would be down to try more rolls. The tempura was more of a miss - didn't seem worth the price. Not the prettiest interior but it was full of happy diners and good vibes.

Yelp
Amazing food and service great food to get around the bay area. I flew in for a work trip and heard this place was pretty good went for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. Great waitstaff
google avatar

Tatiana N.

Yelp
The service was efficient and the staff was kind. I had two rolls (salmon skin roll and crispy crunch roll) plus the seaweed salad. Nothing spectacular about the seaweed salad, but they have the tastiest miso soup I've had to date! The rolls were very good.

Yelp
Any restaurant that can survive while being so tucked away from everything, has to be doing something right. And for this spot, that something is generous portions of sushi at reasonable prices. This cozy little sushi spot isn't even in a nondescript strip mall. It's in a somewhat industrial part of town and if you're driving by it, there's a very good chance you'll miss it one to two times. While, I wouldn't drive down from the city for it, if you're in the neighborhood, and looking for a bite, I would recommend this place. The quality of the fish and chicken all seemed great and the service was excellent. We went for a weekday lunch and had no difficulty getting seated (I also suspect they do a large part of their business as take out/delivery). We didn't get any of the specialty rolls, but the classics were well priced and solid.

Yelp
Ordered a few platters from here for an office lunch and it was a hit. Everything was really nicely arranged and looked fresh. The sushi tasted great, good variety, well-made rolls, and quality ingredients. Everyone kept asking where it was from. Will definitely keep this spot in mind for future catering!

Yelp
This spot is tucked away from the main road and a bit hidden, but I'm glad we found it. We came close to the holidays so it was pretty empty and we got seats right away. It's a good spot for casual sushi and the interior is super cute. The staff was super nice and the specialty rolls are pretty good.

Yelp
Inventive rolls and friendly staff make this place worth the visit. Special rolls cost between $15-20. The Danielle was particularly good!

Yelp
Mr. Teriyaki Sushi is a hidden gem that is extremely hidden especially at night time because I got so lost trying to find this place. I felt very silly driving past this restaurant without realizing and had to do a u-turn at the dead end. If you see an It's It sign then you passed it... Regardless there is plenty of parking and when you walk in this is definitely a much nicer restaurant in the inside. The staff are all super welcoming and friendly and gave great recommendations. I ordered the Sushi Combo ($19.95) and the Jessica Roll ($18.95). Their fish are pretty fresh and the sushi combo is pretty filling. Their rolls have plenty of filling and their nigiri also is also pretty thick. Their Jessica Roll is also pretty popular and I liked the crisp of the tempura inside with the imitation crab meat wrapped with it. For me the biggest aspect that would make me keep coming back is the cozy atmosphere, but also how amazing the service is here. It's a 10/10 in that regard. Just make sure you don't miss that left turn when driving to here!

Yelp
Came here for a weekday lunch around 12:30 and had no problem getting a table for 2. We both ordered the bento box and thought they were good. We both agreed we'd be happy to come back again. The two tables flanking us both ordered what looked like very generous plates of sashimi. We plan to try that on our return trip. Pros - wide menu with lunch options - easy parking - leaning generous portion sizes - prompt service Cons - no outdoor seating - ambiance is average - relatively small space

Yelp
This little hidden gem was perfect for us, just understated, casual, and quick. It's behind a vacated building called the Kahala Tower. We were greeted by a nice man infused with the aloha spirit. It felt like we were in a non-touristy spot in Waikiki. Another customer even walked in with a beautiful aloha shirt. We were quickly seated and greeted by a young lady also infused with the same kind, welcoming aloha spirit. We hadn't eaten a proper meal in six hours, so we thoroughly enjoyed and shared: Spicy CA Rolls - not too spicy, nicely balanced with fresh, crunchy cucumber Jessica Roll - delicious crispy tempura shrimp and crab, topped with tuna and salmon Spicy pork - just had a few bites of this, my husband's meal. It was packed with flavor, not too spicy, and very tender Beef Terriyaki bowl - tender and tasty, with a crunchy refreshing salad Passionfruit Mango macaron ice cream sandwich - perfect bite-sized tropical dessert! Coffee Hazelnut macaron ice cream sandwich - more perfection! We live two hours away, but we will return with friends.

Yelp
A tucked away gem of Burlingame Sushi, this family owned restaurant really stands out with its excellent service and quality food. At first the name had me thinking 'must be some chain of sorts' or something middling but it's really grown on me and I'm happy I made the side trip that day so long ago just looking to get some quick sushi only to gain a weekly spot to wind down and dine.

Denise V.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Sushi and Bento dish presentation was beautiful and tasty. I highly recommend Yo Sushi!

Jessica H.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Food is on point and a great option over hotel food. It is a bit of a hole in the wall location but the staff are super nice and quick.

Yelp
Great service, sushi selection is extensive. Loved the Golden State Warrior roll and Uni. Reservations recommended.

Yelp
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I WAS LAST HERE. We moved to Hercules at the beginning of the year which explains why Met a new face last night! Vivian, who was very warm and welcoming, helped us throughout the night. Charles initially sat us and immediately recognized us when we walked in. We had a short conversation and caught up briefly before we began our meal. It was pleasant to be welcomed like that. They are always so kind! We received some small items on the house which was a great touch to the service they provided. It was near closing time (about an hour and a half before they closed) and there was still a good amount of people dining in. The only time the food disappoints is when it's all gone it goes down so smoothly and so quickly, my wife and I are texting each other about how we want to come back already lol. Until next time!

Yelp
Fantastic sushi spot near Marriott Waterfront. Lots of options for lunch, but this was the clear winner. Efficient. Clean. Kind. Delicious. I got the miso soup, seaweed salad, spicy tuna hand roll and red dragon roll. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you are looking for a no frills, family run Japanese restaurant for a meal or to get some takeout Mr Teriyaki Sushi hits the spot. While the tables are fairly basic they are clean and have a decent amount of tops for seating. Since we came in with 6 I usually give them a call so they can put a couple of tables together and to make sure they are not too busy. Most tables there are for 2 or 4 people. Service wise they asked if we wanted water or hot tea and got the variety of orders for the kids and adults. Food wise they have the Bento style meals with a couple of proteins with side salad and soup. They also have a variety of rolls to order. Fish tastes fresh and everything comes out in a nice timely matter. Staff was checking frequently to make sure we didn't need anything and the steady stream of takeout/ people waited to be seated lets you know this spot is pretty popular for dinner. The location is in the middle of a business park area by the airport so it's kinda in an odd spot but probably good for lunch for people and at dinner time there is plenty of parking since no one is there for business anymore. Easy location off 101 and plenty of spaces so to me it's a little bit more accessible than maybe a similar style restaurant in a downtown area where you would have to fight for parking. Overall very good service, good food and value was in line with most other sushi spots in the area. Will be back when craving a bento style sushi meal.

Yelp
The best sushi I've ever had. I always order the Three amigo's, they're huge sushi rolls and the staff are very friendly. It's a small restaurant, but very cozy.
google avatar

Eugene K.

Yelp
First I didn't think I was at the right place but there I was in the back of the parking lot. The server, Charles, was super friendly and always smiling. Charles is very attentive so nothing goes unnoticed. The food portions are quite large so don't over order like I did unless you want leftovers. Loved the Christmas music
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
For a lunchtime takeout place this is pretty good. They have bento box combinations you could choose from and noodles, sushi, and salad.
google avatar

Sandra J.

Yelp
Some of the best sushi I've had in the Bay Area!! Reasonable prices and selections. The staff are lovely and attentive. Wish I lived in a close proximity!

Yelp
If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Our go to local sushi spot. Been coming here for years and no matter how much time passes between visits the staff always remember my family and I. Sushi always comes out fast, fresh and pic worthy! I've been ordering the sushi and sashimi combo lately. It's a must try. The perfect amount and always satisfies my sushi craving. They also moved locations a few years back, with the new location looking more updated and has a bit more room of dining in. Can't wait to come back again!
google avatar

Kari H.

Yelp
Absolutely loved my dinner, I had the teriyaki salmon/California rolls Dinner Combo!! It came with Miso soup and salad, everything was so delicious, just perfect!!! They had so many drink options, great choices, I finally found Plum Wine, it's so hard to find but it was so sweet and refreshing, hit the spot! The service was really welcoming, they greeted us right away and got a table. I would recommend 100%.

Yelp
Mar 2023 Got food to go. Place was easy to walk to from the hotel but it is definitely tucked in the back area off the street. For the turn into the parking lot area towards the back, there's the sign off the street but it is a little hard to see. Service was helpful with any questions that I had had. I had gotten the creamy crunch roll minus the cream cheese, avo-cyu, and the veggie spring roll. Everything worked well I'd say, but didn't knock it out of the park for me. Good for a quick nearby meal though,. I'd stop by again to entertain other options on the menu.
google avatar

Joy F.

Yelp
Almost hard to find in a tucked in area, and glad we did, away from the hustle and bustle of Burlingame, which I find nice sometimes if you just want to eat and go. A sweet mom and pop Japanese resto with the sweetest family. The fish is fresh here, and there's so many combos, it's hard to choose. Tea is piping hot and you do pay for it here, but it's minimal, in case you're expecting it to be complimentary. Ha! Ordered chirashi, which came with thicker slices of sashimi, bento with chicken and cali and a roll. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Nina S.

Yelp
Fresh and tasty sushi! Great local spot, not easy to find- it's tucked away in a small business area. Worth checking out.

Dannyle T.

Yelp
So good! Best sushi place I've been too! The service was great too. I got the baked salmon roll and the deep fried Philly roll
google avatar

Yelp
Mr. teriyaki, a great place, a place that makes you feel at home , once you step in you feel extremely welcomed and appreciated. The service alone is spectacular, and will surely knock you off your feet, going out the way to make sure every roll is taken care of, making sure the table needs are met, along with some laughs in between. Now the food, let's talk about it, the spicy tuna is to die for just the right touch of spice not too much nor too little, the 48er roll was delicious as well, the salmon tasted so fresh tasty, the salmon teriyaki bowl was so good, the rice perfectly made, along with just the right amount of teriyaki sauce. Over all the experience and the ambiance of the place was through the roof, I will forever come back to this place as it is now one of my top go to places and recommendations for anyone that comes and visits! THANK MR TERIYAKI

Alyssa A.

Yelp
I had a fantastic experience here! The Sesame chicken was both flavorful and crispy, while the tempura was light and fresh. My sister had the chicken katsu, which was a great size, with moist chicken and a crunchy crust that wasn't overpowering. The sashimi was buttery and smooth, perfect for anyone who loves quality fish. My daughter got the chicken teriyaki and absolutely devoured the whole plate--enough said! Service was top-notch. I really appreciate when servers are genuine, kind, and try to connect with you. It made the experience even better. The dining area and tables were clean, though it's a little odd having to walk past the kitchen to get to the bathroom, and there are some sauces stored in the hallway, but honestly, it added to the charming, mom and pop vibe of the place which isn't a bad thing at all. My daughter was super intrigued watching them cook--maybe a future chef in the making! The only small hiccup was that it was a little tricky to find when it's dark outside, but once I figured it out, it was totally worth it. I'll definitely be back for another teriyaki fix. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Barbara S.

Yelp
What a fun sushi restaurant! If you are staying over in an airport hotel and want great value and excellent sushi, you must go here! Large portions, big fat and thick fish portions too on that sushi rice! We relaxed, watched the warriors on tv, and had a grand time and excellent dinner!

Yelp
Quaint Sushi Heaven tucked away in a very unassuming spot. I was reccomended this place by a colleague who couldn't stop raving about it. They are now my favourite spot for Sushi. it is a wonderful place with the friendliest hosts I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. The food is extremely well prepared with attention to detail. If you're feeling down n out come here and just the smiles of the hosts itself will brighten you up and then comes the rest of the yummy tasty food from an amazing menu. An experience I would highly reccomend to anyone visiting the area or passing by. I am sure a Local would know this spot was a treasure.

Yelp
Omg the sushi .....amazing! Come down and give them a try . I drove by and missed the restaurant at first because the sign is hidden away; it's NOT easily identifiable. But once you find this gem, you'll be happy you stopped by. I love their sushi and only prefer to have that when I come in. There's not a lot a space so it wouldn't be ideal for groups of 4 or more. Prices are a little high but it's worth it .

Yelp
Wanted to try and new sushi place for lunch and ran across this place with very high Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. Japanese sushi is quite $$$ nowadays but this place had good sized portions and the sashimi tasted yummy and fresh. The place was full when we got there but luckily got a table. It's hidden in the back of a parking lot and I almost missed if we didn't see the small sign for it at the front of the parking lot. We tried some rolls that we have not seen at other places and got a good amount of big sashimi pieces with the donburi bowl. I can see why this place gets high Yelp reviews! We over ordered a bit and had some left for yummy snacks!
google avatar

Valerie G.

Yelp
Came here oh a whim because I was craving a bento box and it did not disappoint! Location might be tricky to find at first. Waiters were attentive & seated us right away. Food was so good & the staff were all so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be coming back again!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. Not only was the service good, the sushi is astounding! I found the portions to be very generous and the prices reasonable. If you're in the area and craving some good quality sushi give Mr. Teriyaki Sushi a try.

Yelp
What a great sushi place! This little sushi restaurant is around 15 minutes from SFO airport. It's a bit hidden but there's a big sign that makes it easy to find. The servings of sushi are fresh and very, very generous in size! My husband and I shared the Chirashi Bowl and a Three Amigos Roll. Both were excellent! Almost every review I read mentioned the excellent service. It's hard to describe the warmth of the welcome. It feels like you're being invited into someone's home. We're in SF for a few days and we hope to visit again before flying home!

Yelp
This place Is such a hidden gem...literally hidden in a parking lot so use your maps! Space: Family owned restaurant that can fit a good amount of people. Very clean inside and comfortable. A lot of parking spaces. Food: 5/5 for all the below: Chicken teriyaki with salmon sashimi combo - flavorful teriyaki and fresh sashimi. chicken katsu dinner plate - can't go wrong. tempura - crispy crispy crunchy roll - big rolls and good. California crunch roll- deep friend and good Salmon skin roll - one of the best we have tried. 49er roll - fresh and good spicy kick. Miso soup - delicious Service: Now this is the highlight of the restaurant and one of the main reasons we would come back...I have been to many Japanese restaurants and let me tell you, by far one of the best services we have ever had. They go above and beyond to ensure that everyone is taken care of and it's purely genuine and not forced service. You can tell they really care about their business.

Yelp
Mr. Teriyaki Sushi is a restaurant that my family will choose as first pick every time. The sushi in the San Bruno-San Mateo area are not the best but without a doubt, Mr. Teriyaki is the best place you could go to. The owners are sweetest couple that give such good recommendations and bring so much comfort. It is in an odd spot and is small but it's nice and quiet, parking is also super easy. Their sushi rolls are by far the best I've ever had. Gotta try here!! My sushi recommendations are: Zztop, shrimp killer, dragon, and the Hyatt.

Yelp
Anytime I'm in the Burlingame area I try come out to this place. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. Charles, Vivian, and the rest of the staff are always very nice and welcoming. Ambiance is great and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
What fun! A hidden cheap eats destination worthy of the effort to find. Just a few tables in the cozy dining room. The welcome from everyone was warm and sincere. Menu graphics are bold and descriptive. Prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are generous. Guy sitting at adjacent table got the sashimi combo. My jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw the BIG thick slices of sparkling fresh fish. My tame bento box was satisfying. Comfort food at its best. Though this location is an industrial / warehouse / commercial area, the folks we dined with were very much neighborhood regulars. I felt it was like an episode of the old Cheers TV show. Check it out. I'll certainly return.

Yelp
Look for this hidden gem. Especially the dill salmon. A good diverse mix of classics and slightly inventive fare, which makes for a nice bento box or some designer rolls. Easy parking and reasonable prices.
