Mr. Tso

This is our second time here, and it doesn't disappoint! Everything is fresh and full of flavor, I had a small chicken soup and added an egg, it's creamy and delicious. Also ordered the honey sesame chicken and it was that perfect texture of crunchy, slightly sticky but not too sweet, just right! And don't forget to try the pineapple refresher, they make it themselves and it's lovely! This is becoming a favorite go to for flavor, comfort and fair prices, highly recommend!

This place is a 10/10 seriously the best Chinese takeout I’ve had in a really long time! Everything tastes so fresh in quality, great flavor, and good portions. The staff is also wonderful and sweet extremely welcoming and professional. They definitely won me over I will be back time and time again. I hope they stay consistent and nothing changes!!!!

I usually don’t write reviews for restaurants, but this place is insane! Stopped here because I was in the area, didn’t check any of the reviews and decided to give it a shot. Hands down some of the best Kung Pao chicken I’ve ever had. The fried rice was also delicious. If you are in the area, give this place a try, it is truly a hidden gem!

FULL REVIEW: Mr. Tso’s Great food, great service! This will be my new spot! GREETING & FIRST IMPRESSION: I’ve been waiting for this place to open since they first put up the sign with the catchy cute logo. Love the signage! I happened to catch them Today on “Opening Day!” I saw people going in and out of this place. We haven’t had great local Asian food in a while in this area. I ordered food for a game night event! A friendly guy/host greeted me and other customers and invited us inside. Super chill upbeat and friendly. Not shy! Let’s just be honest and acknowledge -that part alone- is not the typical experience in Chinese/Asian food spots. In my experience they are typically not friendly and are often very flat in terms of greetings and interactions. This place is 10/10. It’s giving they’ve been here for years, so happy to see you come in, and they already know me by name (they used my name yall - when handing me my food and thanking me for my business). So personable! The atmosphere is cool trendy clean and spacious. I envision a welcoming Asian cafe type vibe in the Village (NYC) iykyk the vibe! I forgot to check out the bathrooms but I’m sure they kept the theme. Would love to bring my laptop in and work while enjoying a meal if they allow it. I can see them attracting local town professionals and patrons during the day, family style dining may be possible. We’re a Boba family so it would be cool if they add Boba options to their menu later! Wink Wink! They are still putting finishing touches on the place as far as for ambiance but I hope they go with that route! We’ll see what they come up with. He explained the menu which had a great variety, combo options, vegan options, and desserts. He made great recommendations based on my tastes. The food was cooked well and tasted so good!! I ordered a combo chicken fried rice and General Tso chicken and a Banana Pudding dessert (he states he made personally fresh that morning)! *The food packaging aligns with the service & atmosphere here - very trendy thoughtful and kind. For those who care - The containers are plant based compostable and safe for food. It felt like a warm hug! FOOD: 10/10. Can I just tell you…the rice/veggies were perfectly fried not oily and the chicken in the rice is so flavorful not soggy. The Tso chicken was delicious as expected and the banana pudding barely made it out of the car! Instant regret- I shoulda bought 16 of those Banana Puddings lol! I would say the entire menu gave a good variety, combo options, included some fusions from other cultures foods/desserts, as well as standard drinks. Prices are affordable and the portions are great! So load up! PERSONAL TOUCHES: The logo was consistent- paper bags are stamped. They offered me hats (merch) for my daughters! Would love to see more merch from them like - TShirts, wrist bands, insulation cup covers, water bottles, ceramic noodle bowls, iron on patches, maybe even some Asian candies to try etc.! The logo is just so cool I can see it doing well on the merch end! FINAL VERDICT: 10/10 Overall! I hope they make roots and stick around! Service is top tier, food -amazing, atmosphere welcoming. I would say play some cool mix of music to add to the vibe. They have delivery options too yall! I will be a regular patron of this business! I do hope everyone has the same experience I had. It’s a cool spot with great food! Windsor can use more of this! Now I don’t have to travel out of town for good Asian food! Yay me! Game night was EPIC! Ladies won- duh!! Someone swiped the rest of my banana pudding (I get it - they were taken over by the smoothness, mix of flavors, actual banana in the dessert - it changes people - it’s really my fault for bringing great dessert!! Haha) So the ones who tried the Mr. Tso’s food enjoyed it! I included photos of some left over food I hid away for myself just to show! Haha. I appreciate customer reviews so I’m diligent when leaving reviews.

Who knew this hidden gem was right here in Windsor, CT?! 😍✨ The menu is impressively versatile with so many vegan options 🌱🙌🏽 — there’s truly something for everyone! Food is amazing, taste a lot healthier non greasy compared to other Chinese restaurants. Workers are welcoming. Will always be my number one go to for Asian cuisine

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! CLEANEST RESTAURANT I'VE SEEN A LONG TIME! STAFF IS SUPER FRIENDLY! THE ASSOCIATE JIMMY IS GREAT AND VERY NICE! OH AND DID I MENTION THE FOOD IS AMAZING! I LOVE THEIR SHRIMP AND BEEF WITH BROCCOLI! THE LO MEIN IS ALSO GREAT! COME TRY THEM OUT! YOU DEFINITELY WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

WOW for the first time ever, food that doesn't make my stomach hurt!! I couldn't stop eating this. We ordered takeout, and I got the Honey Sesame chicken. Although I'm a big General Tso's fan, I wanted to try something different, and I'm so glad I did. It was small, crispy pieces of chicken, easy to bite into, sticky and flavorful. I absolutely LOVED it. This is my new favorite Chinese American spot, and I can't wait to try the tofu and rice/noodle options next!!! I ordered the side of broccoli with the garlic sauce, and although the flavor wasn't for me, the broccoli was beautiful and fresh, and I will order it again (just plain)!

I love Mr.Tso I come at least twice a week. Love getting the Beef and Broccoli, Chicken and Broccoli or the Shrimp and broccoli. The staff is kind and friendly will answer any questions you have. The place is always clean the music that plays is a vibe, I have no complaints whatsoever.

This is a pretty good spot! A friend recommended for takeout so we got the chicken and broccoli with white rice and general tso with pork fried rice. The general tso was actually super good and had a nice kick. The rice was good but it was a bit dry. The food was warm though so I think it would be really great if it's eaten right away. Shout out to the compostable packaging! I'd grab food here again.

Honey sesame chicken sandwich was phenomenal! Chicken was crunchy and perfectly sauced on a potato bun! Highly recommend along with the pineapple refresher and banana pudding. Broccoli was steamed perfectly, good portion size. Cornbread waffles were the right amount of sweetness and crispy on the outside. Service was great! Store is very clean, nice ambiance, perfect place to catch up with friends!

It was just okay. I ordered a shrimp roll, general tso's chicken with shrimp fried rice and broccoli (garlic sauce). The shrimp roll was very greasy, with one shrimp. The general tso's chicken was okay, but could use more seasoning. The broccoli was the best item ordered.

I was very excited to try this new restaurant, but I was disappointed as the shrimp in the shrimp lo mein were very small. I would not recommend this place.

Ordered the General Tao's Chicken it was over cooked and had no flavor. The Egg Foo Young was also over cooked. The Pork fried rice was alright.

Food was very good the general tso chicken was amazing, Sauced perfectly. I was very excited about the size of the portion until I realized the entire bottom of the container was broccoli which was a little upsetting as I ordered a large size portion which was 1/4 broccoli hidden at the bottom. The rice was pretty good with the pork nothing to out of the ordinary. Tso chicken wings were excellent even though I ordered the plain version because I wanted to test the crunch but still very good and well sauced. Order the Mac and cheese with pork on top I would give it a 2/5 very obvious that it was some style of boxed Mac and cheese with their version of boneless spare rib chunks on the top. The redesign of the eating area looks cool and modern and very clean and inviting environment. The gentleman at the front counter was very happy and greeted me from the desk well before I got to it which was a nice piece of customer service. I do plan to try them again in the future maybe order over the phone just to confirm everything is how it was intended to be ordered.
