The Best Boba Tea in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Another Taiwanese franchise with a Seattle outpost, Mr. Wish — in Bellevue and Kirkland — specializes in fresh fruit teas and smoothies. One should also check out the cafe’s black tiger milk, a perfect combination of sweet and creamy that’s made by slow cooking tapioca balls in black sugar, and then topping it off with lactose free milk. Be quick when ordering, though — they go fast. Available for takeout, delivery, and limited indoor dining." - Ryan Lee

Best boba/tea in State College. There are menu options for everyone and great prices for the size and quality of the drinks. The interior is super cute and you can get some Hibachi Express to go with your drink or shop the market in the back if you're in the mood.

Stepped into Mr. Wish for a refreshing treat was not disappointed! I ordered Strawberry Fruit Sherbet paired with coconut jelly, which was a delightful surprise – not only aesthetically pleasing but also bursting with real fruit chunks. Opting for 50% sugar was the perfect choice for a healthier yet still indulgent experience. The store's ambiance adds to the charm, with a wishing tree and walls adorned with hopeful messages. It's a space where delicious milk tea meets the warmth of community spirit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth and perhaps, make a wish of their own!

Mr. Wish is a fantastic bubble tea shop! Their slogan, *"Have a drink, make a wish,"* adds a charming touch to the experience. I highly recommend their milk tea– the tea flavor is wonderfully rich and fragrant. You can also customize the sugar level, which is perfect for different taste preferences. Their fruit tea is refreshing and full of natural fruit flavor. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great spot to relax. If you’re looking for high-quality bubble tea, Mr. Wish is definitely worth a visit!

Ive tried many drinks from this brand and they always deliver top quality drinks. In the pictures I have the mango fruit sherbet with coconut jelly, and the avocado smoothie with pearls. Both drinks are very refreshing, the mango is sweet and has a delicious familiar flavor. The avocado smoothie is very good despite the initial glance at the name. It’s quite sweet and pretty creamy. Overall I’m in love with the brand and love that State College has a really healthy fresh option for bubble tea.

Edits; times have improved. Drinks are good but do not worth a 30 min wait. People who were 3 orders after us got their drinks and left 5 minutes before we even got our drinks.

I love Mr wish and it has such a convenient location. My favourite is the grapefruit green tea with boba (medium cup in the flower picture) and they have a really good selection of drinks. From their smoothies I love the peachy sunset (pink drink). The fruit drinks also taste really fresh! Totally recommended.

The food here is good! I would definitely recommend the bubble tea over the hibachi though.

One of the best boba ever! Simple yet amazing. Tiger boba tea was exceptionally good. Hot tapioca pearls with cold milk tea was a perfect match. You can even order at a mini kiosk and take pictures at a cute selfie corner. There are even some card games you can play while having your boba tea. Overall, loved the boba and the vibe! Love to visit again to try some more options.

Yelp
Atmosphere was okay. It had a wall that looked like it was decorated solely for the purpose taking pics for instagram. The service felt lackluster and the food was expensive. I got a tropical fruit juice tea with crystal boba and it was great don't get me wrong. But it feels very college-aged-social-media-influencer-trying-to-promote cool and less genuine-connection-for-friends cool.

Yelp
Since tea is all the rage in State College I decided to get some more tea before I left town. But turns out that every place is closed on Sunday mornings. Mr Wish was the first one I found that was actually open. So this is where I came. It's totally cute inside and you have to order off a touch screen. I went with the large Black tiger milk tea. Tea in State College is soooo much more expensive than tea in Philadelphia. I can't believe I have to pay over $7 for an order here. But that is life. My tea was pretty good. The bubbles were chewy and delish. The rest of the tea was pretty good but I have had better black tiger elsewhere. I probably should have ordered one w the chopped up fruit bc the pics looked so pretty. I just wasn't in the mood for that today. I will get that next time.

Yelp
Super cute bubble tea location that also has the convenience of being a small Asian grocery shop and an Asian fusion eatery! Let me coment on the interior design first: You could call it a typical Asian cafe layout, with the green wall, neon lights, and white-on-wood plus pastel "natural" look, BUT this is State College, PA. How many other places locally have cute set ups like this?? No where. I would love to come here with friends, just to sit and study, hangout, anything. How I miss cafes like this being on every corner in the cities. But alas I'm surrounded by hills in a beautiful valley - thankfully I still get to enjoy this ambiance at Mr.Wish! Their main menu items are fruit teas, which is a refreshing addition to the area as the other bubble tea places focus on the milk teas. You can see all the real fruit chunks and puree in the drinks which is also a much appreciated shift away from flavor powders or syrups! So many different fruit teas to choose from - I got the Peach Sunset today but I'll definitely be back for the Wish Special Fruit Tea(mostly because it looks like calamansi and where can you get that around here?!), and others available. The peach sunset is an icy white peach smoothie with a cheese cap. I think it just comes in L. Not too sweet, but concentrated white peach flavor! They do still have a selection of milk teas so in case your friend still wants the milk tea with tapioca pearls, not to worry, you both can still enjoy the drinks here. :)

Yelp
I go into Mr. Wish so much because I have a boba addiction and it is probably the best boba place in state college. Drinks will typically cost between $5-$7 and it is worth every penny. It is conveniently located right across from Penn States Hub. However, if you need to park it is about $1 an hour street parking everyday except Sunday where it is free. It also has a Hibachi place and an asian market inside! It is a one stop shop for most needs!

Yelp
I've ordered twice now at Mr Wish while I'm in town for a conference and both times have been excellent!! Great options for pearl milk tea (such as reduced sugar, additives etc) I'll be stopping by again before I head out of town!! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Great place, lots of options. Food is finished in a timely manner and tastes great. Nice shop in the back with everything you might need.

Yelp
Mr. Wish has *the* freshest, softest tapioca pearls in state college, hands down. I don't know why more people are not raving about this place. It has great drinks, a touchscreen to order if you don't want to talk to people, and fresh food/Asian grocery store all in the same place. It's a must see in my opinion. I used to go to cafe wow, but the service was not as good. This is where I will get my bubble tea from now on.

Yelp
By far the best boba in State College! I love that I can get boba and sushi at the same location. Workers are always friendly and the drinks are consistently yummy. Restaurant is clean and well maintained.
