Crazy expensive menudo. They charge you extra for using credit card. They can’t take the charge as a service perk when you charge $20 for a menudo? That’s crazy! It’s unfortunate, bc it is a good menudo, but they are a lot of places that have good menudo as well for cheaper and wothout charging you stupid fees. I was gonna pay $60 something dollars for 3 and cant even take the charge.

This has become my to go place every weekend. The menudo is good, the carne en su jugo is really tasty and the biria tacos are delicious. The service is good. Only one time, I got to experience the issues with my waitress and the lady who brought your food out. Everyone else got their food except our waitress tables we had to wait over 25 minutes for our food. When usually the food to come out doesn't take any more than 12 minutes. Our on waitress had to go inside the kitchen to get our food and when she would ask the lady from the kitchen for her table's food she made her face and ignored our waitress this I know cause it happened right in front of us. I ask another waitress for our food to get their attention, and at the end, our waitress, when inside the kitchen to get our food, herself. It's unfortunate that this behavior has to be seen by the customers. Overall, the food is good and the service is good. And the salsa macha is amazing they should sale it as a side I would buy it.

Terrible customer service!!! Menudo was meh & smelled. Over priced for sure. Ordered a menudo online & got a notification it was ready. When I got there still waited 20 minutes. Customers just standing around w/ no update on their orders.

The food was okay, but the experience was disappointing. The person who runs it came across as quite passive-aggressive and didn’t seem to value his customers. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable, and it seemed like corners were being cut to save money. It’s unfortunate because the place has potential, but the management really affects the overall experience

First and last time I order from here. Parking is ridiculous. Has linited parking spaces but that does not stop people from parking illegally and blocking other cars. Moving onto food. I order 2 items of course menudo and chilaqulles with scrambled eggs no cheese no sour cream. Made sure to repeat myself as I can't eat cheese nor cream. Before leaving I asked again if order had cheese or cream and they said no. Got home about 15 min later to have guess what cheese and cream. Called for refund, they said they can do it. They offered credit but I was not going to go back. Then I told them just make my order again right this time again repeated no cheese no cream with scrambled eggs. Mind you had a hard time trying to have them replace my order as they said can not use the credit of their mistake the same day. That was UNACEPTABLE. Now fast forward to the end, parked 2 blocks away due to parking. Picked up my correct order, no apologies and I get home to no cheese no cream, but I get sunny side up eggs... Where the he'll is my scramble eggs that I ordered? Wow amazing how bad a service and experience i had with this place.

Their menudo was very good. They do not have what is advertised on social media and was directed to a different location. Not a cozy place to eat, it’s more of a take out place not dine in.

I've tried ordering three times through Ubereats and they always cancel my order. Do not waste your time here.

Very friendly small mom and pop shop. All these comments are just hating. You get a good amount of food for what you pay and the food is to die for. Definitely coming back with friends and family thanks !

Great menudo and tacos de nervio !!!!! Great service and tentative waitress. The gorditas and chilaquiles are great as well.

I'm leaving a one star review for 2 reasons. The first being that I called them on Christmas Eve to ask if I could purchase tamales for Christmas Day. The woman who answered said I would need to come in person on Christmas Day to order and purchase them. It's now Christmas morning and imagine my surprise when I see their door with a closed for Christmas sign. I wish they would have just told me they wouldn't be open since I drove here from Long Beach. Now I have to figure out where else I can buy tamales from. The second reason is I purchased a tamales de pollo from them about two weeks ago and I found a hair in it. I know what you're thinking, why would I go back for tamales if I already found one with a hair in it. I was planning in getting pork tamales and I was hoping the hair was a fluke with the chicken tamales only. Safe to say it's going to be a while before I come back.

Food was the BOMB ! But it was so busy that the service was not on point ! They skipped us in line until I went and asked ! They did however bring our food and drinks out fairly quick ! It was worth the wait and we will be going again ! The chips and salsa are

The food is amazing and so worth it, the gal in the front , expect to piss you off . Absolutely no customer service my goodness . But the food makes up for it . Enjoy.

I used to love this place and it was my go to for menudo. But the past few times I've gotten menudo it has been very watery and bland. I made a comment regarding this on their instagram and they blocked me so my comment would not be seen. I'm a huge foodie and will travel for food but just wanted to comment on how the menudo has honestly gone down hill in the hopes things would change coming from a previous regular. But clearly constructive criticism is not wanted. This place will not last with this type of attitude.

This place is the worst place to go the hostess was very rude they need to improve the Costemer service I Oderd a coffee and they never brought it to the table and the food wasn't good there's other places way better than this restaurant never going back

Menudo is delicious but my favorite and a must try is the chicharrón Gordita extra sour cream and salsa just amazing. Very well staffed quick and always gets my order correct. The Downey location is a great eatery bellflower doesn't have sit down but they are very friendly.

Menudo was nice and soft. Prices for Jarritos being $5 just seems a bit much. Toppings were included, but unfortunately the same tortillas break up in the wrapping. Chili oil and onions were nice. 3 stars due to the price of everything being more expensive than what you'd typically find anywhere else. No seating (unless I didn't see any outdoors).

Wanted to try this place with with the hype on tik tok. Was so disappointed. I asked for extra pata and this is all I got, I specifically asked to see if they still had pata and the girl came back saying yes. If you didn't have anymore then say you don't , don't let the customer get home with this trash. The tortillas were pre wrapped so they were all soggy and when you tried to open up the packed they fell apart to small pieces luckily I had tortillas at home. Got a Gordita and tamale again another disappointment.

Wanted to try their menudo so bad. Unfortunately they were not open. We arrived before 7:30, waited in the car until 7:35, stood at the door for a few minutes. There were employees in the back because we seen movement but no one came to the door. After noticing no indoor seating we decided to leave. Shame we drove all the way there for nothing. Also their days are posted different than what's on here on Yelp. On the door it says closed on Tuesdays

Cannot go wrong with this menudo based food business. Not all menudo is the same! Give this place a shot of menudo regularly calls out your name. Enjoy. Jordan

After waiting for a hour , I order my menudo without grano, I didn't check my order there I got home and got all my order wrong , no pata and a lot of grano, but the menudo is good , I just hate getting my order wrong and wait a long time

Ok so I have been going to Mr. Menudo since he started in Compton. It has been great to see him grow his dream of opening more places. Ok so about the food . There's a reason that this place has such a big following. Honestly very one makes menudo but not everyone makes great tasting menudo consistently. This spot has their recipe perfect and the menudo is delicious honestly the Best menudo in all of LA . I've travelled trough all of cali tasting menudo and this is the best I've had ever ! It's so good that you don't need anything on it but hooked up with the onion, oregano, chili oil is perfect. Now being called mr. Menudo doesn't mean that's all they have . They have delicious gorditas. You guys have to try the Gordita de chicharron. They also have all kinds of tacos and great tamales. Today I tried their new invention a tamal with chilaquiles and pollo en salsa verde . It was delicious a foodgasam of flavor . Don't take my word for it just go by and explore their menu . Oh and don't forget to also have a cup of cafe de olla or champurrado !

We had the menudo, Chilaquiles, Gorditas, it was delicious. Service was amazing. Ambiance Only I wish that they had more sitting and more parking.

Authentic tasting and generous servings of some of the best menudo in South LA. Ever since I had it for the first time a couple weeks ago, I have these strong sudden urges to run it all back again. I try to minimize my menudo intake because I would happily eat it every week but I will definitely be ordering again soon once I cave to the cravings.

The menudo here is excellent. The staff is super friendly. The bellflower location is small and very clean. Unfortunately, they only offer outdoor seating.

Way better places that won't charge extra if you want sauce. Way better places that will give you way more cilantro and onions for a large menudo ($14.50) Got charge $8.50 for the sauces in this picture . I barely got onion and cilantro . Lady at the front desk was nice and went to the back to ask so not her fault at all . I also ordered 9 tamales But it's bs , I'll never come here again .That is crazy but yea I'll rather go somewhere else. Not even on FREE sauce screw this place.

Hit the spot in every way. Woke up super hungover and had to take the kid to practice. Expect to pay food truck prices but you can't go wrong with this place. Had the menudo fresh tortillas and a chorizo quesadilla. Mouthwatering

Terrible service for mid food. Waited over an hour for our food. I would not recommend this place especially if you have places to be.

Best menudo in town! Only flaw is that you order the daily special you MUST mention that you want the special price or else they try to charge you full price. It doesn't make sense to me or any of the folks that were in line with me when I found out. The special price should apply automatically or put up a sign that lets customers know they have to mention the special. Or, just don't have specials.

The best and the tacos are so delicious as well. I recommend this place I will definitely be going here from know on .

I will give 2 stars sometimes the menudo Is great, but when I order a small one without no meat the corn was Luke warm, not even hot. Wasn't too happy. But I don't know why they charge a percentage when using your debit card!!!! They don't respond, and their hours are not accurate. They say it opens at 7am but they are always late or closed down.

It was good, the stomach lining wasn't all chewy like gum... long ass wait but, good... kinda hyped too by pictures on the wall of famous people that go but, still solid pick up for menudo if your local.. I wouldn't really travel too far for this place..

So disappointed after I seen the hype on tik tok I decided to come with my coworker to try it out!! first I spent 21 dollars on the chilaquiles and tamale plate and a jarritos. Then I get back and honestly the chicken wasn't like on the video at all it tasted like leftover meat , then hardly any crema and no quest fresco, and tons of cilantro like I was so upset we spent all that money to be disappointed. Pictures are of what I got and what I was supposed to get.

Great menudo, it's really good and they have to option with or without pata... also you ask with or without maíz. But overall great portions and super tasty! I highly recommend this place.

The Menudo was delicious, great flavor, lots of Menudo pieces, grano y pata is optional. The Chilaquiles also very testy, hot flavor, but not too hot, just right. I recommend a visit and treat yourselves. This location is for pick up only, it gets crowded, but they bring your order out within 15 minutes. Definitely worth the standing wait. There is a table and bench outside under a tent, you can sit there to eat or wait for your order to be ready.

Good was not very good. Menudo & tamales were flavorless. Think I'll stick to my own cooking. Over rated! Cheese Tamale was the worst & it happens to b my favorite!

My go to spot for Menudo so far. I drive 45 minutes to get here, but it's worth it. Prices aren't as bad as well. Most other places charge more for the mediocre menudo. The staff is friendly. Usually there is a wait. I waited 20 minutes one day guess it depends on which day you go. Weekend mornings would be more crowded. Anyhow I am glad that I can get menudo any day of the week. Most places serve it only on the weekend. Come try this flavorful menudo. You won't be disappointed.

They constantly break ADA rules letting the owners/employees use & block the accessible spots. The only other accessible spot in the parking lot is covered by their tent and tables. Also the food quality has gone down.

I start by saying It was my family's and I our 1st time trying this place, but the wait was horrible we had to wait for over 1 hr 1/2 they had a really bad organization. I think they need to really know how to organize themselves when it comes to serve a party of 12 people or more. We kept being skipped and smaller groups were served 1st. After waiting for such a long time my family and I decided to leave that place. Not going back for sure as the hostess kept telling us to wait So disappointed at this place.

Some of the best menudo I've had, it's not the cheapest option but you get what you pay for!! Keep up the quality! Chilaquiles are also bomb, can't wait to try other items!!

Good menudo spot that just opened up. Menudo is pretty good except they do get your order wrong. Came here with a coworker and he asked to only have the menudo and no grain and they gave him grain anyways even though he has issues eating that. Also, this place would be better if it had a sense of urgency and better customer service to take peoples orders. Took about 30 minutes to take orders from 3 people ahead of me and myself. Someone in front of me asked to get their tortillas changed from corn to flour to one of the workers and they said they could do that. Another worker that took my order afterwards after making the same request said they couldn't do that. This place is being held up by its very good food but could be so much better if they worked on getting peoples orders and better customers service. Also their pricing is inconsistent. The menu on the website has one pricing and I got charged more for tamales and menudo even though this menu was just uploaded and is similar pricing to what they show on their menu at the Bellflower location.

This menudo is really good ! Its mostly a place for take out since is is fairly small but the menudo is delicious ! Its not too spicy and taste fresh! They also have other food options ! I got a cheese tamale for my bf and he said it was delicious!

Wrong hours added! I went today drove 30 mins and 30 mins back just to see it's closed. Please add the new hours!

I brought my mom to come and eat here. The menudo was delicious, their tamales were too too spicy (made the mistake and ordered this for my kids; good thing I had plenty of snacks for them in my diaper bag) and seating area did not fit our needs but made the best of it.

Not recommended food was Nasty and Cold the gordita size of your Pinky menudo no Flavor and on top of that sodas expensive also cashier had a bad attitude

Second time here and I can say that I am a fan of Mr. Menudo! I tried it with the chili oil this time around and it was even more delicious. In regards to customer service, no problems here. I have been greeted and attended to well. The two ladies who took care of me where very nice. I'd say don't plan on dining here unless you happen to catch a seat on the chair(s) / table outside. Give it a try if you haven't already.

I've been a customer at the Compton (food truck location), I give it 4 stars. We drove to Bellflower thinking the new location was a sit in - family restaurant. Show up to be disappointed. Place is basically to go only. However I still rate it 5 stars. 4 Menudo delicious, flavorful (not stinky) and you get your money worth. Plus the home made tortillas 4 Gorditas are delicious. We ordered Frijol, Chicharrón and Molida. I was full with 1. 5 Customer Service is top notch. The lady was courteous, welcoming, presentable, very beautiful Definitely be back but to the lunch truck since it's closer to home.

Not worth the hype. The line is crazy employees are rude to customers, people act crazy and cut in line. All for some menudo that is mid $50 for two small menudos and 1.5 cut lemon lol

As an Menudo expert I must say, the "Menudo" is very BLAND!!! No flavor at all, very very overrated!!! The chicken chilaquiles was absolutely Fuego!!!! Bombdiggitty fashiggity. I would definitely recommend that and the Torta Chilaquiles fashooo..

Drove 45 mins to pick up a phone order. Drove home to find out they messed up my order. Called them to let them know, and they told me I needed to go back and take them the wrong menudo in order to get my correct menudo. Talked to whoever runs their IG page and was told it's they Policy well this policy is so inconvenient to your customers. We don't all have a lot of spare time to be driving back and forth for your mistakes. I've been going here for a while now because we liked the menudo, but this policy is so dumb to me. Have your workers pay more attention to the orders.

Ordered a Guajolotongo they forgot to add the chicken and the tamal tastes burnt. Not worth the $18

Wow, what great tamales!!!! My man loved the menudo ( I don't eat menudo but I did taste the broth and it was delicious)!!! It was a bit pricey but what isn't LA!!! I will definitely come back for tamales, my kids give it a 10. Tamales were full and juicy, sauce was perfect !!

I heard of Mr Menudo Oficial during the pandemic, living in the OC I didn't want to drive out to Compton and they'd be sold out. So years later I was excited to see they opened a store front and after all these years. I finally was able to try their menudo hands down some really good stuff . I will be back and I highly recommend it. I did order a asada burrito and a chicharrón gordita, but I'm so full from the menudo I'll have to rate that next time
