Restaurant Takeout and Delivery Recommendations From Eater Austin Editors | Eater Austin

"I tried Mr. Noodle-San’s ramen at Aviary and it blew my mind: springy homemade noodles and an incredibly rich 24-hour pork belly al pastor tonkatsu shoyu broth combined into a bowl of pure magic. Daniel McAleese (Mr. Noodle-San) is taking his restaurant to Taos but hosts pop-ups around town — follow him on Instagram for updates." - Erin Russell

Google
Fantastic ramen. I had the regular Tonkotsu and my wife had the spicy tan tan. Both were full flavored with a beautiful depth. Restaurant was quiet (I love that) and service stellar.

I had Spicy Tonkotsu and DanDan noodle at Mr. Noodle, and it was the first time I had had such authentic Japanese ramen at Media. I asked the chef, and they said that both soups were made with freshly boiled, rich broth every day, and the roast pork belly was freshly baked. There was also a delightful vegetarian ramen that was a surprise, bringing good news to vegetarians. Even more surprising was the refreshing fruit tea to help with digestion. It was just amazing!

I loved when this place was just a boba shop, the ramen just adds to it! It’s a nice, cozy shop with delicious ramen and the boba tastes just as good as always. The people here are very efficient and nice, amazing service and quickly makes our food.

Great new ramen spot right on state st. Great ramen was missing from this strip and Mr. Noodle checks the box. The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen is rich and delicious. We added tempura shrimp and a side of pork buns. Family run biz. If you crave ramen give this great new spot a shot!

I first wandered in here about 3 weeks ago. I am not from the area and was looking to grab a quick lunch. When walking in it looked empty, and at first I didn't know how to process that. I ordered my lunch, crossed my fingers that it was good and left. I sat in my car and ate it and omg it did NOT disappoint. It was so delicious I ordered take out the following week and then did a sit in today. The atmosphere inside is quite, but it's nice. I had a chance to get some work done, enjoy a delicious meal and get on with my day. If you haven't tried it. I 10/10 recommend. I got the marinated beef over rice with a mango green tea. (And as you can see...delicious) Give your tastebuds an adventure if you haven't tried them yet. Also, they offer a store club card for frequent flyers!

Super tasty ramen full of flavor. It’s not super fishy. More tonkotsu pork forward. Lived in Japan for 4 years and I miss the ramen so much. Happy to have a local place in Media and not need to travel into Philly to be transported back to Japan for a meal.

The ramen here is soooo good! The broth is full of flavor and has that umami richness ramen should have. Ive gone to other noodle houses in the area and they just didn't have that umami feel and richness that this soup has. OH and if you like the soft boiled eggs, do yourself a favor and get another as a side, you can thank me later.

Yelp
Get the Tonkotsu Ramen!! My husband and I love ramen. When we travel we are always looking for the best ramen place we can find. Then Mr Noodle came to town and we have both been blown away. The broth is like nothing I've ever had before. My brain does a happy dance just thinking about it. Deep, rich, complex and yet still a comfort food? Sign me up! And all the meat and veggies and yum yum yum!! Another ramen place opened up in granite run and we have not even bothered to check it out because the best ramen place in the world (equal to our last favorite place in Hong Kong) is right down the street. It will not disappoint.

Yelp
Popped in for dinner after visiting Bookish Notions. I was surprised this place was empty, but grateful for the quiet. This place must be the best kept secret in Media. Mr Noodle is a cute store with some kind of cooking show playing on a tv. The food was delicious and my server was kind and attentive. I absolutely will return.

Yelp
I'm not really sure if you're supposed to order first and then get seated, or they seat you. When we walked in, we were not greeted so we went up to the counter and were told we can take a seat. We erdered the Tonkotsu Ramen and the Dan Dan noodles. The Tonkotsu Ramen was very good. It had a lot of flavor and there were plenty of toppings on it. The dan dan noodles on the other hand, was disappointing. Having eaten at Dan Dan in Wayne and Ardmore as well as nyc, the difference was striking. It barely had any minced meat or sesame paste, and didn't taste like Dan Dan noodles. It also used the same noodles as a Ramen noodles, and not the typical thicker ones. From the name Mr Noodle, I wish the noodles were better! I would still come back again for the Ramen, though. (Rating is for the ramen, not the Dan Dan). Recently tried Rayaki in media and I think that's my new favorite ramen spot.

Yelp
I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen and she got the regular tonkatsu ramen. Very good and full flavored, not diluted like many places especially when they become too popular and need to stretch ramen broth due to unexpected crowds. The pork was charred nicely, probably a handheld torch. A more natural cast iron seer would taste better but it's better than nothing. Service great. They probably do many more takeout orders since just recently adding ramen to the menu and rebranding from the bubble tea tsaocaa. Hopefully they add a better fume hood as it gets more popular, the cooking smell is not overpowering but it's noticeable.

Yelp
I have been to Mr. Noodle many times before it was a ramen shop (when it was Tsaocaa), and after it became Mr. Noodle. And honestly, I'm so impressed because I would not have expected a rebranded boba shop to have ramen THIS good. I wish I didn't forget to take pictures of our ramen meal today, but here's my review: after trying their ramen three times (specifically different variations of their tonkotsu ramen), it's actually one of the best/better ramens I've ever had and I regularly have ramen in Philly (Terakawa, Yamitsuki, Hiro's to name a few), on the west coast, and in NYC. I love how the spicy ramen is actually a decent level of spice. And the flavor!! The flavor is seriously on point. 9/10 for me. Like seriously I didn't get how there's not more people at this place, it's actually on par with Terakawa in my opinion. Boba: The Grapefruit boba tea was so good before and it is STILL good!!! Don't sleep on Mr. Noodle boba just because it's a ramen shop now guys. I think their other bobas are not as good as the Grapefruit but still better than Kung Fu Tea down the street (sorry KFT). Service: The service is always 100% with the dude with the glasses! He always gets my order right now matter how much I adjust it and also when I order a lot of boba/food. Ambience: It's got hole in the wall vibes, and it was empty on a Thursday evening. I think it would be better ambience if there were a few more people, but none of that takes away from the quality of the food for me. 5/5

Yelp
Delicious ramen! Great broth and some of the best fajitas I've had! Been here a few times and have not had a miss!

Yelp
The ramen is flavorful and not too salty, and their fruit teas are very good. Grapefruit peach green tea 0% sugar with nata jelly is the goat

Yelp
I got the Brown Sugar Bubble Milk and the Miso Ramen and I probably haven't had better milk tea. EVER. We got served super fast and the restaurant was basically empty, which it shouldn't be. The restaurant felt so cozy and nice, and the music was nice. 10/10 WILL eat again!
