5 Stars – A True Southern Gem! I had an amazing experience at Mrs. Linda’s Soul Food in Dallas! The smothered pork chops were tender and flavorful, perfectly paired with creamy mac n cheese, savory greens, and smooth mashed potatoes. Every bite tasted like home-cooked Southern comfort. The customer service was top-notch—warm, welcoming, and filled with genuine Southern hospitality. This family-owned restaurant is a must-visit if you're in the area. Highly recommend!

First time visiting this restaurant with my cousin and his girlfriend. The food was AMAZING…It really hit the spot! 😋 Everything tasted homemade and indeed soulful. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread. My cousin had the chopped steak with macaroni and cheese and greens and his gf had the fried catfish with macaroni cheese and greens and we ALL ENJOYED EVERYTHING(and I don’t even eat meatloaf like that but that meatloaf, right there was fkng awesome)! Oh and her famous punch too…YUM!! We were the first customers there for the day so when we arrived, we placed our order and it took about 20 minutes to come out which I had no problem with because I prefer my food to be freshly made! It was seasoned to perfection(Didn’t have to add salt or pepper) and the portions were also great! Mrs. Linda is an absolute DOLL!! Loooove her kindness, politeness, and hospitality! SUCH a beautiful soul inside and out🙂 She made us feel very welcomed The entire time…her and her hubby(I think he was her hubby🤔) We DEFINITELY will be returning💁🏽‍♀️

My husband and I stopped by here on a whim. It was after church and if you know about the Sunday dinners, this is definitely the spot you want to go to!! The food was so good and my husband said the customer service was top-tier. I was in the car but he did the review of this place. We’re definitely going back!

Cozy spot, not much seating but the food was ready within 20 minutes. The food is so delicious! Nothing was over seasoned and our food was piping hot!

When I tell you this place was a God send on a early Sunday morning when I had a hanckering for some catfish. And finding good filets of actual catfish and not those tiny little slivers is hard to find in Bedford. Not only did I get up there right when they opened but I got the chance to meet the owner Mrs.Linda and boy did her energy put a smile on my face. Not only that but her cook and cashier were amazing as well. Did I mention I was early😅...cause they were in the process of still setting up for the day but very welcoming all the same. Sorry to ramble but it makes a huge difference when it's your first visit somewhere. Now to the meat and potatoes of this review...Everything on this plate SLAPPED!! Two big filets fried to perfection seasoned to the gods.🙌 And my sides of cabbage and greens beans delicious.🤌 And don't even get me started on that corn bread! All made to order! I asked for extra tartar sauce and didn't even need it😭 If you're looking for a meal that makes you feel the love in the cooking this is the spot. Thank me later.🙌 and thank you Mrs.Linda and staff for making my Sunday a great one💕 I'll definitely be back

My my my. This is truly an intimatr hidden gem that serves excellent pipping hot soul food. Everything from the food to the jazz music being played was excellent. They even have Dominoes and spades available for play The prices are reasonable, food is cooked to order and seasoned very well. Reminds me of old skool down south cooking. Chef Jeff was amazing and very helpful from the time we walked in to us leaving. Pictures were taken half-way through me eating, so it definitely wasn't served the way it looks. The food is amazing. I had greens, mac n cheese, yams, cornbread and smothered porkchops. We will definitely be back.

When you get in the mood for some (real authentic) soul food, unless you leave near one, be prepared to do some driving to get the good stuff. A month or so ago I spoke a magic phrase to get me closer to it..."Hey Google, soul food near me!" To my surprise this spot showed up in the results, and it was less than 3 miles from me. It was a Saturday, and when I got there and walked in the guy came from the back and said..."we're not open today!"😤 Wait, what?!?! As it turns out, they were doing some repairs but forgot to update Google about the unexpected closing for the day, and forgot to lock the door. Anyway I ended up driving further on to another spot to get my fix. Fast forward a few weeks later and always willing to support local business, I returned and I'm really glad I did. The food was as authentic as you will find. I ended up getting two plates to go along with homemade strawberry cake. The fried chicken was fried hard and crispy...as it should be, yams and greens were seasoned to perfection. Ebony, who took my order, and is also the daughter of Mrs. Linda, went in the back and had Mrs. Linda come out and personally thank me for coming back to give them another chance to make a first impression. Well worth it!

I ordered the fried catfish, mashed potatoes, and macaroni w/cheese. The portions are huge, the food is made from scratch. Everything was delicious, I hadnt had catfish that good in a long time. The gentleman at the register was funny and made sure we didnt need anything. I believe Mrs Linda made the food, she came out and said hi to us while the food was cooking. Both of them were very sweet people. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Google reviews did me a solid. I'll start this review that for the most part I'm boycotting YELP since they removed my 2025 Elite status for the first time in 14 yrs. Craving fried chicken and decided to head to Juicys Soul Food and learned they had closed....uggggh. Not to be deterred discovers Linda's Soul Food to go and called to inquire if they had fried chicken. They did. Yahoooo. Off we went. Upon arrival and as we entered this little gem I just admit I was worried. It was dead and appeared only one person was working. We learned they only had 4 meat offerings, fried chicken, fried pork chops, meatloaf and fried catfish. We were a bit disappointed when we learned they only had wings and legs for the fried chicken but moved on and placed an order. I had the fried chicken legs, collard greens, fried cabbage and Mac n cheese. She opted for the fried pork chops and Mac n cheese. The serving size are huge. 3 legs, 3 pork chops. Sides are plentiful. Are you ready? Absolutely delicious. The fried pork chops were the best we have ever had out. The Fried chicken was equally as good. HOT. JUICY. Soooo good. The Mac n cheese was better than Juicys. Cheesy and gooey goodness. I loved it. The collards were also better than Juicys....id argued one of the best I've ever had out. My mom would have been in heaven. Speaking of heaven...the Fried Cabbage is to die for... A major home run!

Yelp
I was in the area and searched for places to eat. I went with this establishment. There was a couple that walked in just ahead of me and based on their questions, it was clearly their 1st visit, as well. The dry erase board had the following listed; meatloaf, fried chicken, fried fish, fried pork chops. She did say they offer other things on the weekend. That statement confused me because it was Saturday around noon and the couple had to wait for someone to come unlock the door which implied that they were just opening. The couple inquired about options other than fried and was told that meatloaf was it. One asked if there was pork in the sides. Her response was "no pork at all" and the lady said, " Except the fried pork chops, right?" Well, as you see from the photo, there's pork in the greens. I ordered fried pork chops with mac & cheese, yams, and collard greens which came with cornbread. The only other side listed was cabbage. Lemon pound cake was the dessert offered. I was told my order should be ready in about 20 minutes. I left and went to Starbucks up the street and came back about 30 minutes later and he was putting my order into the bag. I want to preempt by saying give this place a try and see what you think. You may have a different experience. There is construction being done on the street in front of the establishment, FYI. I personally did not enjoy the taste of the food. The yams were okay, but again, the taste just wasn't there for me. The cashier did say that they've only been open a year so maybe it's a work in progress.

Yelp
I was in the area and searched soul food. This place came up with great reviews so I decided to check them out. The guy that helped me was pleasant. He offered me a sample of chicken tetrazzini that wasn't on the menu. He swore it was good, and it was! I ordered that with corn and greens, since the cabbage I originally requested would not be ready for another 15 minutes. Chicken tetrazzini was 9/10. Very good. The corn and greens were cooked with waaaaayyyyy too much pepper and should have been labeled as spicy corn and spicy greens. Also, the greens needed to be picked - I had too many big stems in my serving, and I'm not a fan of those. Would I go back when I'm in the area? Yes. Will I take advantage of them offering samples on everything? Absolutely! Reel back on that pepper, and they are in there. I recommend.

Yelp
This is our 3rd time eating here and Mrs. Linda never disappoints. Today I had Oxtails, they are well seasoned, slow cooked and finger licking delicious. The oxtails were so good I almost forgot I also had their out of this word spicy greens, cornbread and delectable yams. For dessert order their caramel pound cake it's also amazing. Thank you Mrs. Linda and D we had a satisfying meal. The atmosphere is always inviting for a great time.

Yelp
Oh. Wow. I mean, I'm danged near speechless because Mrs. Linda does it right! I haven't had food like this in ages, something that sticks to your bones and makes you feel like you just visited someone who really loves you. The fried chicken had the most incredible seasoning, the meatloaf is out of this world (and isn't covered with ketchup, I was so glad, lol), and that oxtail... what a show stopper. The mac'n'cheese and cabbage were probably my favorite sides of the day, the black eyed peas were a close second. This place is so authentic and everything was so good, I'm literally leaving my house to go back and get a piece of cake. Thank you for coming to my area, Mrs. Linda!! I can't wait to visit over and over! Update from a few hours ago: My boyfriend doesn't normally go out of his way to try gumbo, but he said Mrs. Linda's gumbo gave him goosebumps.

Yelp
Love that more down home cooking spots are popping up all over this area! Locals are catching on to the goodness which is great to see. I very much enjoyed my baked chicken meal and had lots of leftovers for later. Food is not overly greasy, made with love and that is something you can feel good about. Prices are not listed online as of yet. I took my food to go, it looks like you can dine in but most are picking up their meals. $20 for three big pieces of chicken, mac and sweet potatoes. Meal was enough for 2 so I did not mind paying that price. Place is decorated super cute inside. I'd come back for sure. I enjoyed each and every yummy bite. I recommend adding prices online or perhaps include lunch specials for those of us balling on a budget. But this is a fabulous addition to mid cities and we are so grateful!

Yelp
Our first time there, will be the last time there. I was excited that I found this place on yelp since we really do not have any decent soul food restaurants in HEB. Our only comparison is Ms. Mary's Southern Kitchen in Coppell which was delicious but unfortunately closed down. My excitement turned into sadness. We visited on a Thursday @ 6:00pm. 1. The restaurant is located in a strip center on pipeline. Once we entered it was a quaint little place, little crowded with decor since they had there outside tables inside the eating area. We were "greeted" by a older gentleman. What I mean by greeted was "What do you all want". I am ok with sub par service as long as the food measures up, well it did not. 2. I wanted to try the meatloaf, but was told that they did not have any. I had to settle on the fried pork chop, mac & cheese and mashes potatoes. My wife decided on the smothered pork chops, greens and cabbage. The food took awhile to make so we thought "oh man they must be making everything fresh. This going to be good!" It was not. 3. The food portion was amazing. The food itself was not. It came out really hot, almost like everything was put in microwave to make everything equally hot. Of course I could be wrong, just my opinion. 4. My Plate A. Fried pork chops- It was super dry and like eating leather B. Mac & Cheese - Tasted spoiled & curdled C. Corn Bread - Ehh D. Mash potatoes- They were good for being plain, would have been better with some gravy or something. 5. Wife's Plate A. Smothered pork chops- Sauce was ok, pork chop not very tender B. Cabbage- It had a overpowering vinegar taste. C. Greens- I don't know, I didn't try them 6. Overall, two thumbs down. Incredibly disappointing. My soul is still searching for that amazing home cooked meal.

Yelp
Mrs. Linda and her husband D serve amazing food with lots of TLC. We are big supporters of this lovely couple. You feel at home with their friendly smiles and attention. Everything is clean and inviting with complimentary wine and board games. It doesn't matter how far you live it's worth the drive. We love their oxtails, pork chops, fried fish, collard greens, yams, macaroni and cheese and cornbread.

Yelp
Was met with the warm inviting smile of Mrs Linda and her delicious food. Highly recommended!!! Support this business!!

Yelp
My catfish was not fresh. Appeared to be refried. I was unable to eat it. The greens were too salty. I would not recommend.

Yelp
Came here for the first time and was excited because of the reviews. I decided to try something new and get the oxtail. It was very over cooked and also a bit greasy I talked with the owner and she understood my frustration and is remaking me a plate. I appreciate people like her because I know things like this can happen in a restaurant so it's not hard feelings at all. She handled it well and took care of me. I appreciate it very much!!

Yelp
We had to try Mrs. Linda's new place since they are our neighbors. We missed the grand opening, so we went in on Tuesdsy for a late lunch The location is a cozy front end with a couple of two tops and stools and ledge along the front window. We were greeted by the friendly counter man who took our order. We grabbed a table, and after a short wait, we were served our lunch. The young man who served us was extremely polite and friendly. My wife ordered the catfish with black-eyed peas and candied yams. The cook let us know that they were out of yams and suggested the corn, which was OK with her. That fish filet was a big one and the sides were a good portion size. The plate was served with a piece of cornbread. The fish was hot, crispy, moist, and delicious. The tartar sauce was very good, too. The corn was really tasty with bits of red paper mixed in and seasoned very well. The black-eyed peas were cooked to a good texture but were a touch salty. It's not a big problem, but it's worth mentioning. I had the smothered pork chop over mashed potatoes with collards and mac & cheese.Good portions, and everything was spot on. The pork chop was juicy and tender, and along with the gravy and mashed potatoes made for some good comfort food. The collards were tender and only needed a little shot of hot sauce to complete the flavor. Mac & cheese was good and cheesy. My wife was stuffed halfway through her plate, so it went home only to be my lunch today. YUM. I plowed through my lunch and was happily stuffed and looking forward to a nap when we got home. We will be back to try more of the menu items and some desserts as well. The owners are our neighbors, and we wish them well with this new venture. Give it a try. It will be good for your soul and stomach as well!

Yelp
Incredible food, atmosphere and owners... you need to put this place at the top of your list. It's a 11 out of 10!!! The menu is wonderful includes fried chicken, smothered chops, meatloaf, catfish etc with all the fixings- greens, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, mash potatoes etc... Mrs Linda takes soul food to a new level - everything is homemade. Get on down to this local gem in Euless! You will absolutely love it!

Yelp
Great local spot. Just went for the first time. The fried chicken, cabbage, and yams were all delicious. Like, for real, delicious. My wife legit thinks it's the best cabbage she's ever had. So glad to have a place like this!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Exceptional home cooking! i do not know of another restaurant that serves chicken tetrazzini and Mrs. Linda's is delicious. It is served with green beans cooked to perfection and side salad with the best seasoning I have had. am looking forward to trying all of her daily specials.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent. I had the Salisbury steak with yams and Mac. Portion size was generous and everything was seasoned very well
