I had the opportunity to tour the MSU warehouse and bakery a recently with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. It's a very impressive operation with state of the art systems and squeaky clean facilities. The bakery goods are wonderful. As a local Realtor, I will make this another one of my many recommendations for bake goods and of course the famous MSU cookies. :-)

Best place to get bagels. Why aren't you here yet? Probably because it's illegal to be any nicer without people wanting all the love this place gives out. Seriously just try one out. Ft. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bagel

This bakery on Hannah Blvd is a little difficult to find but well worth it. You just need to look for the flap style little sign in the lawn. You will not be disappointed. These were the best donuts in Lansing hands down over the other 2 donut establishments! The donuts were very fresh and flavorful. The filled donuts actually had a good amount of filing in them throughout the whole donut. The apple fritter was tasty but could have had more apple filling. We also bought a loaf of English muffin bread. It was very good toasted. I noticed a lot of people ordered decorated cakes as they were stacked up behind the counter. When I’m in town that is the place to go for the best baked goods. I read that some of the bakers are 15 to 30 year veterans! These are the best baking teachers for students to learn their craft!
