The 10 Best Lobster Rolls In The Hamptons

"Come to this casual restaurant on the second floor of a strip mall for the signature Montauk lobster roll. It includes a hefty portion of cooked meat warmed in silky butter or coated lightly in mayo and celery, scooped into a toasted brioche bun, and served with fries. Also worth trying is the gooey lobster melt, a lobster-stuffed grilled cheese that will always yield an epic cheese pull of american, pepper jack, and mozzarella.  It’s more fun to bring your order across the street to Montauk Brewing Company to enjoy it with some cold ones, as they have a dog-friendly space. They have a second location in Sag Harbor with a similar menu—at that spot, you should bring your takeout to nearby Kidd Squid Brewing Company. " - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

This restaurant is located kind of in an odd spot (upstairs of a donut store) and on the west side of town. We visited on a Saturday night around 5:30p and there was no one in the restaurant. As we were sitting inside in the AC, a few more parties came. All the work staff was very nice and attentive the entire duration of our visit. Right away brought us a pitcher of tap water and glasses. When we finished that pitcher, not even a minute later, a new and cold fresh pitcher arrived. We ordered the crispy calamari to start, which is served with a Thai sauce and a marinara sauce. The calamari was so tasty and the Thai sauce.. yum! We could’ve licked that Thai sauce clean. We ordered the cold lobster roll (which on the menu is named something different) and it comes with chips. The chips were actually fries, but these were the best French fries I think we’ve ever had. Thin and crispy and flavorful. I like to describe the fries like the McDonald’s kind, but gourmet! Also ordered the gooey lobster melt, with was practically a lobster grilled cheese. Wasn’t expecting that but also didn’t hate it, but the three types of cheese really did the sandwich so well. Like mentioned before, all the staff was very attentive and caring, and would recommend this place over and over again.

Had an amazing dining experience at MTK Lobster House in Montauk! I opted for the Surf & Turf Burger while my wife enjoyed the Montauk Lobster Roll, and both dishes were exceptional. The flavors were spot on, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The ambiance and service were equally impressive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch meal in Montauk! 🌊🦞🍔

We were driving around looking for a place for seafood while on vacation, spotted it and decided to give it a try. The restaurant was quaint , clean , and quiet. The server, who happens to be the chef and owners wife, was very friendly and cordial. We got the mussels for an appetizer, they probably were the best mussels we’ve ever eaten. They were big and sweet. The lobster roll was moderately priced compared to other restaurants in the area, and the meat was also sweet and plentiful. All ingredients were very fresh and well prepared. My compliments to the chef. Overall it was a nice atmosphere and great dining experience. We will definitely return when we come back.

Google
Came specifically for lobster bisque. We were seated immediately. After ordering drinks they told us they were out of lobster bisque. It was a Saturday night in July so we were pretty disappointed that a lobster house was out of lobster bisque. We asked to sit at the bar and were told they don’t really seat people at the bar because they only serve beer and wine.

Google
I really looked forward to trying the lobster roll here but was left disappointed by the meal considering the prices. The signature lobster roll was a bit bland - the most memorable flavor being too buttery. I wish the butteriness could’ve complimented the lobster better instead of being the main flavor. The calamari was pretty average, but the sauces it came with were a good touch.

Google
I was looking for a good lobster roll. The lobster roll here was so fresh tasting, just delicious! Fries were amazing too, crispy. This is more of a casual/cute dining spot. The burger was great too.

Google
Such a beautiful place. The inside has a great vibe. The lobster roll was sooo delicious and buttery. 🤤🤤 The staff is also very friendly. They give quick and great service. Definitely recommend this place a shot.

Google
Nice place. Came with our own file fish and got refused by manager. Even though we are loyal customers for many many years. So left the file aside and ordered meal from the menu. Love Montauk beer. This place has wine and beer only. Tacos were delicious. Mussels were in butter and garlic sauce. In average it is a good place to come. Very great service by waitress. Thank you for that. The only one thing I had to tell the girl who was bringing the plates was to cover nose with a mask. Cause the mask covered only her mouth.

Yelp
My friends and I had a wonderful lunch here! It was still off season so we were able to get in with a reservation without an issue. I liked the interior design of the place, a nice beachy, trendy vibe. They had a solid beer and wine list, everyone found something they liked. I tried the clam chowder which I enjoyed. The calamari was tasty as well. I was super jealous I didn't order the lobster roll, because that thing looked awesome. Service was friendly and someone was always there when we needed them. A nice spot to stop in for lunch when you are walking around the shops in the area!

Yelp
I wish we read the other reviews before we went. They had beer taps and menu said to ask about beer on draft but had no draft beer but glad because we question if it would have been cleaned regularly. Condiments on table are not cleaned regularly with weird gunk in the salt shaker. Lobster boil didn't taste fresh. Much better lobster rolls elsewhere. Wife got sick after. Expected better particularly for such an affluent area. Server was nice though.

Yelp
Horrible! I don't know how a restaurant can ruin a basic salad. Salmon Caesar.. 1 grilled romaine bundle with a 3oz fishy piece of salmon. Grilled shrimp Cobb with old mushy avocado and 3 strips of greasy bacon that the "chef" was too lazy to chop up. Grilled shrimp tasted frozen. The lobster Pasta looked the most promising. Don't order the fried calamari salad. Looked terrible sounded terrible and was terrible. The lobster rolls... not sure because the girls who ordered it said nothing so... Staff...seemed shocked and surprised by having customers. $275 w/tip for 6 ppl no drinks ordered No pics because it was that bad.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good lobster roll in MTK, try somewhere else. Location was good for people watching from the elevated outdoor seating. Food was just okay. Was expecting the Lobster House to have the best roll in town... not so much.

Yelp
Our first day in Montauk we lunch at this restaurant. It had a nice open feeling & was decorated nice . Our waitress was very friendly & helpful. We had the warm lobster roll it was very salty. We also had a hamburger it was dry and had no flavor. I wasn't happy with our lunch.

Yelp
I ended up at the Montauk Lobster House on a weekend right before the summer began. It was a beautiful day and the town had a good amount of people. We ended up at the restaurant right as they opened. It was understandably empty, but was clean and the staff was friendly. The service was good and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. The lobster bisque was the best thing we ordered. The reason for the 3 star review is largely based on the lobster roll. Being the montauk Lobster house, located right in the heart of town, I would have expected an amazing lobster roll, or at the very least a good one. Although it was a decent size, it tasted like the water that you would find at the bottom of a seafood boil pot was dumped over it. With the other lobster roll options in the area, I would have expected better. Go for the ambiance, and the bisque. But go anywhere else for a lobster roll.

Yelp
Montauck is a lovely little town at the South end of Long Island. We decided to try out the MTK Lobster House. Having had a long day on the road, we were happy that there were tables available for dinner. Restaurant is on the second floor with indoor and outdoor seating. We found parking in back of the building. During high season, I imagine parking is difficult. I ordered the lobster bisque. It was a nice soup with a few bits of lobster. Unfortunately, I was comparing this soup to others I've had. Not always a good idea. It was a nice soup, just didn't compare to others I've had. If you're looking for a creamy luscious rich soup, IMO this was not it. Also ordered fried calamari, those were fantastic. Calamari comes with two sauces; a spicy thai and a marinara. Also delish. SO ordered fish and chips. It should be explained to customers that "chips" are just that. They are not french fries as you normally get across the pond. Chips. They were good but not what was expected. Service was good. A good place in the heart of town.

Yelp
Looking for a bite before going up the lighthouse and this was #1 on Yelp. Grabbed a table on the patio looking over the main road. Started with some lobster bisque. Pretty tasty. Huge chunks of lobster. We even had a claw! Next we shared the Fish Sandwich. Really good. Light and tasty. Tartar sauce was top notch. I could leave without trying the New England Clam Chowder. This was good but I have had better. Had a cold beer that went really well with the fish sandwich. Overall this spot was ok but really pricey. Since we didn't get to try any other place in town I can't say it is the best or the worse place but just based on our visit it was just ok.

Yelp
Super cute place. Had the lobster bisque, clam chowder, street corn, Mac and cheese, warm lobster rolls. Everything was great. But I can honestly say I've had better of all in other places. Service was very good as well and prices were reasonable considering the area.

Yelp
I had a lobster roll and I think spicy shrimp. The food was very good. The service was excellent, waitress and busboy very nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Disappointing. Out of lobster bisque at a "lobster" house. All other fish, sandwich, fish and chips, fish tacos were catfish...? Is catfish, a bottom feeder lake fish even local to MTK? Lighthouse Lobster Roll just okay. $200 later just really disappointed.

Yelp
Cute spot on the main Montauk commercial drag in a multi-level building (look up to the second floor)! They're doing social distancing indoors, and it looks like for the busier season, their front outdoor space will also be available. I was a bit surprised by the price of my lobster roll ($29) given its size, but it was good. It was very pure - no obviously added flavors except maybe a hint of butter. The fries that come with were perfectly cooked. In all honesty, they almost stole the show. Looks like a cool place to grab a drink. The bevvy list was on point.

Yelp
First time trying this place.... Fairly new place, think they are here 2 years. Not your traditional Montauk look or feel but we decided to give it a shot. On the main strip over the store that sells everything. Place was basically empty... hmmm Started with the lobster quesadilla... it was awesome, so awesome we had to get another fir dessert! Not every lobster roll is created equally. And let me tell you i was very surprised! The hot lobster roll was excellent & The cold lobster roll may of been the best i ever had. We also had the grilled cesar salad which was very unique & very tasty. This gem is hidden in plain sight & is a must try if your in town!

Yelp
In Montauk for a few days, so decided to find a place with a decent lobster boil. MTK Lobster House was a near miss. We started with the lobster bisque, which was not good. Fortunately, bad soup, but good service. The waitress collected the offending soup, the manager agreed that something was off, and took it off the bill. Next up was the lobster boil, which we split. And good thing, it was plenty large enough. And... meh. Maybe it's me, maybe I'm just not in love with Lobster like I used to be. Or maybe it just was not good. The tail was rubbery and not super flavorful. The claws, fortunately, were better... but not enough to solve the problem. As for the rest of the pot, the clams were large and too chewy, and the potatoes were flavorless. Fortunately, the corn was delicious and the mussels surprisingly good (especially surprising considering I generally don't like mussels!). Overall, though... don't need to do that again. $100 for a lobster boil and 2 beers, I'd expect better. Even in a strip mall in Montauk.

Yelp
Service was good. Indoors are well conditioned. We didn't have reservations but they took us right in! Love the ambiance and it is at a great location. My favorite dish was the lobster tacos! The lobster rolls were smaller than expected but the truffle fries made up for it. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
I guess we will start with the lobster. It was fine - not the best ever but good/solid. The Cali girl salad was awesome. I love big chunks of blue cheese. Fish and chips were also good, kind of hard to screw that one up. The waitress was cool and nice to the kids. It was empty because we went early but I can't imagine how they serve more than 3 tables without it being to crowded (for covid regs). The place is really nice and I would 100% return.

Sofiia M.

Yelp
Servis terrible, waitress just yelled at me when I said that salad should be chopped and not the whole romaine on plate, this way you can't call it salad. Ruins whole trip to Montauk
google avatar

Chrissy R.

Yelp
No fuss easy, lobstah everything! We picked up lobster rolls our first night in Montauk - one cold with mayo, and one hot with butter. Appreciated the variety. Both were fresh and delicious - our Caesar salad was too. Standard market prices and resto was hygienic and careful.

Yelp
Nice place in town. Worth dropping in casually if you're around. Wanted take-out but they weren't doing take-out due to their dining-in patrons, and how backed up the kitchen had become. So went back to Gurney's to pick up the family and drove back to dine in. There was no wait to sit when we arrived, however we hung out at the table for a while watching this short-staffed crew work their butts off to do everything they could to keep things running as smoothly as possible.

Yelp
This August 2019 was my first time heading to the Island I usually just stay in the city when I visit New York. Of course I had to eat it was so many options I some how landed at MTK Lobster House. I easily found free street parking the restaurant had a light crowd we talked with our server she was from Croatia and and our chef was from Jamaica awesome intimate customer service. Lets get to the reason for my visit, "The Food" - The lobster roll was full of fresh warm meat with drawn butter inside a fresh baked soft bun crisp crunchy seasoned fries I opted for water to savory the taste. And1 no net lol

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a weekend as we were quite hungry and didn't want to wait a long time at some other seafood places nearby. We were seated immediately here, and brought menus immediately, the waters took a bit of time. My husband had the lobster roll, and I had the fried seafood. The seafood was overly oily, and the chips had been cooked from a frozen bag, and were very oily also. My husband enjoyed his lobster roll though. Service is friendly, but a bit slow. The prices are on par with other restaurants in the area. Ambience is quite casual. They have a small area for outdoor seating on the deck, with most seating indoors. I would not recommend this place, and would not return.
google avatar

Urszula P.

Yelp
Great spot for food with inside and outside seating. Try the surf & turf (burger and lobster)! You can also splurge for the seafood boil if you are in the mood. Burger & lobster with real lobster lobster pieces was my pick.

Yelp
These lobster rolls were sooooooo disappointing!! At my stay in Montauk, my friends and I were on the hunt for the best lobster roll and clam chowder, and this place was notttt it. The classic with Mayo had absolutely no flavor, if anything tasted like lotion. As for the warm lobster roll with butter, even that tasted like nothing! After trying a few lobster roll places before this and it was painfully obvious to know these sucked. They were packed with lobster so we had to keep that in mind for our rating. They rated the lowest at a 10 out of 40 points, each of us rating it 2 to 3 points. As for the chowder, I prefer a thicker one but it had the best flavor from the ones I tried. (Next time in the area I'll be going for lobster bisques or crab chowders) they added bay leaf which gave it good taste but I like chowders thick and chunky. We each rated it a 4 so 16 out of 40 points, doesn't seem like the best We also tried the fish and chips, which was the best we had there at the restaurant. It was though very very greasy, everyone else liked it but I thought it was a lil nasty. But once again tasted good. These got a 26.5 out of 40 points
google avatar

S R.

Yelp
Two stars just for the mussels. Everything else was subpar and without any taste. I got the surf and turf burger and it tasted like water or that the burger wasn't prepped correctly as it was still frozen. The fish and chips were extremely soggy and tough to eat for my daughter. My wife's shrimp tacos looked under cooked and without seasoning. The pasta with marinara for my youngest was like canned pasta and sauce. Without the mussels this dinner would have been a 0-1.
google avatar

Raymond M.

Yelp
Great spot for fresh Montauk seafood. Considering the location the prices are reasonable. The only thing missing is a water view. Highly recommend the surf and turf burger. Very generous lobster tail on top of an oversized burger. Amazing!
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
MTK lobster house is right in the heart of Montauk. Second floor with inside dining and s few tables for outside dining on a balcony overlooking the main drag. The name being a give away to what's best on the menu the only choice is whether you want the lobster roll warm with butter or cool with mayo. We had both and they were delicious. Nice chunks of lobster and not soggy. Nice order of fries and a couple of beers give you a true beach town vibe. Covid compliant with room around the tables and on a nice day snag the outside table.
google avatar

Nicholas G.

Yelp
If you walk too fast you will miss this place. It is upstairs in the center of montauks downtown area. I don't even know what you call the building but it is on the 2nd floor of the place. It is off to the side so make sure you find it. There aren't many tables outside but they have 4-5 inside. I originally thought it was a takeout spot. We came for lunch and were hungry so tried a few different things. We ordered the fish and chipper and fyi it is a massive portion. It is 3 big pieces of fish and it is enough for 2. The batter is crunchy and fried nicely. It is not oily. The fries were also pretty good. We also had the calamari which was standard fare. Don't get me wrong it was good but you can get it at a lot of different places. The sweet chili sauce was the best of the 3 sauces. They also had marinara and remoulade. I also tried the New england clam chowder since that is a staple in this area. Solid choice and will fill you up if you order it. MTK lobster house is a solid choice for any meal and you won't leave hungry that is for sure. I guess I should have tried the lobster but whatever. Check it out.
google avatar

Lin K.

Yelp
Was super surprised that this place was rather empty on a Saturday evening! It was delicious and worth not having to wait an hour to get into somewhere that may be more trendy Calamari was crispy and plentiful. Surf and turf burger was delicious and the fries are super crispy. Really nice and fast service as well!
google avatar

Jennifer V.

Yelp
A very expensive meal that was anything but delicious. The lobster roll was bland and the fish in the fish and chips was soggy. We had to ask for water after the meal as it was never given to us and the salt in the food made us thirsty. It was very expensive for what we had. Waitress was nice but not very attentive. I won't be going there again.

Yelp
MTK Lobster House Final Score is based on the following 10 categories divided by 2 to meet the 5 star rating. [10 Categories] / 2 = Final Score 6/2 = 3 STARS Note: Review is based on two visits in one month. 1. Parking: 0. No parking available. Must find street parking. 2. Location: 1. It's on the second story of a building in the center of town. Perfect location to grab a bite then walk to the beach (5-10 minute walk) or go shopping in town. 3. Wait time (for seating): 1. No wait for a group of four for both times I went. It's a small restaurant so make sure to have a reservation for a large group. (We made it right before rush hour) 4. Interior / Exterior design: 1. Love the decor! There's bar seating and regular seating. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Small restaurant with tables close to each other. 5. Wait time (for food): 1. For both visits we had about a 10 minute wait for our appetizers. Other dishes came out soon after. Not a bad wait! 6. Sanitation: 1. Very clean and ornate! Not a single flaw. 7. Customer service: 0. Very kind staff, but could be better. Slow service even when there were only three other small groups (ended up getting nearly full later on). Had to flag someone down for extra napkins, water refills, and to remove extra plates for us (normally we don't ask for empty dishes to be removed but the table was small I almost knocked over my water). 8. Restrooms: 0. Very clean but was out of toilet paper. Yikes! 9. Food / Beverage: 1. Delicious food! Appetizers and entrees were phenomenal. Can't wait to stop by again! 10. Other: 0. Another con was that their internet was out. I noticed a few customers getting up to leave, then come back into the restaurant and leave with their group. Turns out all customers were asked to get cash from the bank to pay for their meal. We were also at the seat which is above the WiFi router so we were asked to move tables. Of course no one was mad since internet outages happen, trust me I get it, but it was pretty annoying that we had to move tables while dining and have someone go to the bank to get money. Since the internet was out the bill had to be manually calculated. We were handed the handwritten bill and paid in cash. As we were walking out the restaurant the waitress told us to come back in since she miscalculated the final price and we actually owe more. Ma'am, couldn't you have double checked before you handed us the bill and made us go to the bank Now I was pretty annoyed lol

Yelp
A most disappointing experience I hope no one ever experiences here or anywhere. Do not recommend MLH whatsoever. Food: 2.5 - nothing particularly special. $12 for kids menu buttered elbow pasta was ridiculous. Came here on a rainy day. No social distancing in indoor dining. All tables spread normally. Looked around and it seemed as if two tables were finishing up. That could make it socially distances acceptable. When we arrived a female host said no tables for 30 min for our party of 2 adults and 1 infant. But we saw an empty table in a corner away from others. The female host said it was reserved. Okay, we'll get takeout. So we ordered and waited outside in the rain. Not even a minute later I turned around and saw the female host seat 3 adults and 1 toddler and 1 infant without them indicating that they had a reservation. Hmm. We waited out in the rain for about 20-25 minutes. We saw a table open up and nobody else waiting for a table. So I went inside and asked if we could eat our takeout order at that table. We were told no. I asked again, please? No. I asked to speak with a manager. The female host came by and I asked her if we could eat our takeout at the table since we've waited 20 minutes for our food already. She said no. Then I asked her, well you gave that other table to that family and told me that I needed a reservation. She responded, well that's a table for 6. It's a bigger group. Then I asked why did you tell me that we needed reservations then? You could've said that we're not big of party? Then I just went out and said it because it was out there. Is it because they're white and we are not? SHE DID NOT SAY NO. Her eyes widened. A male host came by. I asked do you take reservations? He said no. Oh really, so why the female host say that to me and give the empty table to the other party of just 1 more adult and 1 toddler? Are they really going to order that much more? I then asked him whether we could eat our takeout here since we've been waiting for 20-25 min. He hesitated. Why can't I eat $80+ dollars of food that I just ordered for takeout inside when there are no other people waiting for tables? We asked for a refund. Refused. He said we could eat. I was about to walk out but our infant started getting fussy aka hangry. We sat and ate at the table. No water for the table. Nothing. As someone who lost their restaurant due to covid19, I fully understand that times are tough. But I'd like to hear the justification of what just happened or will it be another inconsistent statement?

Yelp
Great menu, clean place, the dishes look awesome coming out and being placed in front of you. I went for the LIGHTHOUSE LOBSTER ROLL with chunks of fresh Maine lobster meat and warm butter with a side of fries and I left thinking it looked ten times better than how it tasted. Not that it tasted bad but rather, it was a total unmemorable experience. I gave three stars because other things on the menu might be worth it but I am not sure I am going to be back to find out.

Yelp
When we first came here years ago I fell in love with their Lobster grilled cheese and couldn't wait to come back. Unfortunately they seem to have gone down in quality possibly due to covid effects/recession who knows? Their entrees are now served with potato chips instead of French fries. Bland chips nonetheless.

Poopy P.

Yelp
Horrible. Took so long to seat my family of 5. Food took very long to come and it's so overpriced for no reason. It's a cute little place but they need to lower prices and give more food. Horrible experience.

Yelp
Super disappointing $27 for this tiny little roll that had more lettuce than lobster & barely any fries Definitely wouldn't come back

Yelp
First time coming here and made this a priority to be our first stop when we got to montauk. After a 2 1/2 hour drive it's safe to say we were starving. Sat down and ordered some drinks to start, and ordered baked clams. The baked clams as an app were delicious. Should have gotten another app since there were only 5 for 3 people but after I ordered my lobster grilled cheese I'm super happy we didn't get another app. The lobster grilled cheese was absolutely amazing, thick lobster pieces and 3 mixed cheeses that complimented one another so well. The toast was crispy and there was plenty cheese and lobster meat in there. It came with a side of fries as well, which I was not able to finish. Our server here was absolutely terrific. She was super sweet and very accommodating. I unfortunately do not remember her name tho. Overall, great experience great food.

Yelp
Just got in from California. This place was awesome. Great service and the food was very good. The baked clams is a must and the warm Lobster was amazing. Great view as well if the main street.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! The service was so friendly, and the food was so good! We had the clam chowder, ceaser salad and the lobster pasta. Everything was excellent!

Yelp
Came here because we really wanted to try the famous lobster roll from Montauk and little did we knew we were going to have one of the best lobster ever!! The restaurant has quite a homey feeling to it. The service was very good and always attentive to our needs. The menu has a good variety of burgers that you can customize, soups, salads, appetizers and their signature dishes with are soooooo worth it! We ordered the Lighthouse Lobster Melt and the Montauk Lobster Roll. We had seen photos online of different plates but we weren't expecting such big and delicious lobster chunks with so much flavor in them. Every bite contained a perfectly cooked and savory piece of lobster that let us totally KO and full. The sandwiches came with French fries which were as great as the roll, perfectly fried and crunchy and with a lot of flavor to them. We didn't try the fish tacos but the table next to us did and they really looked amazing too. I believe they truly were because the customer got up and thanked the bartender for such great tacos. Definitely a place that I highly recommend and one that I will be going back. I so need to try those fish tacos!!!!!

Yelp
This is a must try restaurant, the food is amazing, delicious, clean and very nice service, definitely going back to this place. I had a Lighthouse lobster with a Montauk wave chaser the perfect combination.

Yelp
This is the first time actually i tried this place and was not dissapointed. The lobster, the seafood all fresh and the taste is good. The only missing 1 star is because they miss my toast bread for the mussel. And the service was ok. We had chicken quesadilla, taco lobster, fried sampler appetizer and mussel with garlic and white wine ( which i like because of the garlic).

Yelp
I was drawn to this place from the really good reviews they have and really left feeling extremely disappointed which is a shame. I got the three taco combo contain one of each protein, shrimp, fish, and lobster... which were all just extremely dull to average. The taco shells tasted store bought which didn't help. For the price tag of $25 you would expect a lot more to be honest, at least the service though was friendly and attentive. The ambience felt strip mall like which is fine if that is what you have to work it with but I really was expecting an awesome seafood taco experience and it was far from that.

Yelp
3.5 stars Ordered the hot lobster roll and the lobster bisque to go. The place was pretty quiet on a Saturday except for a few dining guests. There's an option to order a warm or cold lobster roll, with the warm being more expensive. The lobster roll came with fries which was probably the better part of the dish. The fries were so crispy and perfectly seasoned with salt. The lobster roll was lacking in quantity and flavor. It tasted bland and could have been better with more butter. For $25 a lobster roll, I was expecting better quality. The lobster bisque on the other hand was very delicious. The soup was not overly salty and I couldn't stop dipping the fries in them.

Yelp
I would give this place between a 2 1/2 and a 3. It's not the worst but if you skipped it, you wouldn't be missing much. First course was NE clam chowder. It wasn't horrible, but it was watery, few clams, but certainly edible. Next was fish and chips. Apparently no one clued them in that fish and chips is a British dish, and in Britain, chips are fries. They serve them with potato chips. Seriously? You have to ask for fries and they are extra. The fish wasn't the worst, but it was greasy, so if greasy food upsets your stomach, order something else. The fries were the frozen kind with the extra coating that is supposed to make them extra crunchy, but it makes them extra greasy. I didn't finish my plate as I could see an upset stomach coming my way if I did. They had some too loud music that sounded like cover bands imitating the real thing, which I thought was rather odd. If you miss this place you haven't missed much. If there is nothing else around that is open, and you're hungry, it will hold you over until your next meal.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible food. All their seafood is frozen and all taste like rubber. Ordered Lobster bisque and clam chowder only for it to taste like nothing more like lobster gravy. Lemonade is literally sugar water with a hint of lemon. Never had a lemonade like this at a restaurant before. Didn't finish any of my food. Left everything with taking 1 bite. Their name has "lobster house" in it and only their fried chicken cutlet is barely decent. DO NOT get their seafood boil, it's literally the same liquid used for the lobster bisque. VERY overpriced for the insanely terrible quality of food. Don't come here unless you want fake food.

Yelp
Terrible food. Terrible service. The lobster bake was told to be 55. When the bill came it was 65. Absolutely no seasoning at all. I tried to explain to the waitress how this dish is supposed to be but she offered nothing back to us and stated how people want no seasoning. The mussels were old. I wouldn't eat them in fear of getting sick. The lobster and shrimp was wayyy overcooked like rubber. We ordered wine but that literally never came. The way the food was we figured we were better off skipping it. There were no other diners in this place beside us we should have seen that as a red flag. I wouldn't eat here again if the food was free because I don't trust it to be fresh. This place should seek out a real chef and it would pack out its right on the best location in town. Amazing that they don't feel the need to season any good or use fresh product. Oh. Even the potatoes on the lobster boil were terrible. They were the big white potatoes you would use for mashing and not the littke red ones that go in this dish. Absolutely a joke for 65 dollars.

Yelp
I spent my weekend in East Hampton and my boyfriend and I were in the moof for lobster rolls. This was kind of a last minute idea because the first place we wanted to go to originally had about an hour wait. MTK was high up on the list on my yelp search so we chose to drive to Montauk. They had two kinds of lobster rolls and we ordered some clam chowder. Everything was so delicious! They gave a great portion of lobster as well and we ate all the fries along with it. The place has ample seating and the service was really quick. I will say they could have more drink options but I'm pretty sure people are going there for their rolls. If you're in the Montauk area MTK is a great spot. During the nicer months they have outdoor seating as well.

Yelp
The lobster roll was good when I came here the other day. I only wish it had more lettuce and tomato. It was on the smaller side which was disappointing. The fries were extra crispy to my liking. My fiancé got a chicken burger which was ok. It tasted fishy because they must cook it on the same grill. Overall it was good but I don't think I was as impressed as I hoped to be. The place was very pricey and had limited outdoor seating. The prices were also very high. I also did not like that their drink menu was inside, which made it hard to see form the outside.

Yelp
Good food reasonable prices. Seasonal. So you have to get there at the right time. It's very crowded in summertime.
