I love Mexican food. It’s one of my favorites. I wanted to love this place. The style inside is so cute and definitely instagram worthy. The flight of margaritas for 20$ is a good deal. The empanadas were good. The best tasting part of our food was the black beans and rice. The chicken and steak had little to no seasoning/flavor ; Very bland. The consumè was thin like water. With no flavor. The server took so long to take care of us and they weren’t even busy. Ambiance 4 Food 2.5 Service 3 Drinks and ambiance are the reason this place will succeed. I hope they do better on their menu and service to make if better.

I came in one minute prior to their closing time and they made no hesitation to seat me. I happened to be only in the market for cocktails and in this they succeeded. A pleasantly spiced and attractively garnished jalapeño margarita, on the rocks. Zero pressure to me or the other two parties of guests in the establishment as we zoomed passed closing time at our respective tables.

My Fiancé and I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday around 5pm. The crowd was very minimal. We were immediately greeted and seated. The ambiance was beautiful and welcoming. Very clean and modern restaurant. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive and my meal was delicious. I ordered the bbq birria tacos. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We ate here just a little after lunch. There were very few people at that time, maybe 2 other tables. Service was fast and good. We had a combination of Tacos. BBQ Birria, Steak Bavette, and a chicken Taco. The Birria and Chicken Tacos were good. The Steak Bavette were strange. Not in a bad way. The meat was tender and flavorful, but it had the smell and texture of shrimp. If I did not see the meat before eating it, I would swear it was shrimp. Weird, but in a good way. The only downside was that the flour tortillas on the steak tacos were not toasted (or not toasted enough). This caused the taco to eat a bit gummy or pasty. It did not have a good mouth feel.

We were really excited to try this place as we heard great things about their other location. However, our experience dining there last night was beyond disappointing. The servers were slow and not attentive - so much so, that not only did we not get water at our table but my friend had to practically beg multiple servers to bring her water when she was choking on a chip. The food was less than impressive - cold dishes that lacked flavor ; definitely not worth the price we paid. In addition to the bad service and food, there were several safety incidents that occurred during our visit. For example, someone dropped a beer bottle on the floor and the broken glass was ignored by multiple servers ; it was was left unaddressed for at least 5-10 minutes leaving a safety hazard for customers. As the margaritas were the only somewhat redeeming quality about this restaurant, we will not be dining here again. Especially since there’s another restaurant across the street that has better food, prices and service.

Edit: It appears they've shut down! Sitting at the bar next door, we saw tons of patrons with reservations turned away by a locked store with no lights. As a Latine, I love Mexican food! I was so excited to try this place after months of waiting for them to open. They brought out complimentary chips and salsa, and I tried a cocktail - all of which was absolutely delightful. The main dish left a lot to be desired. The enchiladas were incredibly dry and crunchy, which I had never experienced. I do want to try the Mexican ramen, as the concept seems interesting. It's definitely a good place for great drinks and snacks, but I hope the food can improve to meet to match the environment and bar quality

Food was delish! Staff were attentive and friendly! Prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere is modern and cool. Only complaint is that the music was a tad too loud. But don't let that stop you. We just happened to be by the speaker. Check them out and support the Oak Street neighborhood!

We were so excited when this establishment opened! Sadly, we will not return. The restaurant has a 4% fee if you use a credit card. I would say this could be acceptable in a small neighborhood place, but not in a seemingly upscale restaurant. Who walks around with $200 in their wallet in this city? That was the first turnoff. They do not bring chips or salsa. We had the guacamole, which was good but not for $11.00. We also had the shrimp enchiladas. Terrible! All we could taste was salt….way too much…and garlic. The menu is very small. Very disappointing experience.
