A Delightful Lunch Date at Muck & Fuss! From the moment my husband and I walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Each staff member greeted us warmly at the entrance, and we were promptly seatet. A great first impression. Our server was knowledgeable and confident, recommending some of the most popular menu highlights; and she did not disappoint. She suggested the Jalapeño Fritters, which were uniquely flavorful and delightful. I also had two Orangytangs (yes, two! Because they were that good!), made with that nostalgic Tang juice we all grew up with. For our main course, we ordered the Spicy Lucy Juicy and the blackened Fish Tacos. The burger was juicy and delicious, with a hint of heat; the jalapeño flavor came through in the cheese sauce, though it wasn’t as fiery as I’d hoped. The Fish Tacos were succulent and full of flavor. The upgraded rosemary fries served alongside were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and a lovely twist on standard fries. For dessert, we treated ourselves to the Reese’s cheesecake, which arrived beautifully plated. It struck a perfect balance of rich, but not overly sweet. Everything was so good that we didn’t need to bring any home (a rare feat in our household). One thing that really impressed me was the diversity and creativity of their menu. They offer so many unique options that I’m already looking forward to coming back and exploring more. A few extra touches made the experience exceptional: - The restaurant is dog friendly on the patio, complete with a small dog menu (how cute!). - Their cocktails and beer selection is very impressive, and I’m already dreaming about trying one of their boozy shakes next time. - We were checked on multiple times: throughout the meal, warm smiles and genuine care made us feel like valued guests. As for the interior: the space is beautifully designed with a modern/rustic vibe. A majestic buffalo head hangs over the entrance. Large windows flood the dining area with natural light, and the decor blends industrial touches and cozy elements to create a welcoming ambiance. All in all, our lunch date at Muck & Fuss exceeded expectations. If you’re in the area and haven’t tried it yet, GO! My husband and I stopped here on our way home from a weekend in the Fredericksburg and San Antonio area, and wow—this little burger spot was exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling and cave-touring. Both burgers were incredibly juicy and full of flavor. One came stacked with melted cheese, tangy pickles, and crisp red onions—the kind of bite where the juices hit the bun just right. The other was smothered in caramelized onions and oozy melted cheese, so savory and rich that every bite felt like comfort food at its finest. The sides didn’t disappoint either. The Caesar salad was fresh with crunchy croutons, and the fries were hot, crisp, and perfectly seasoned. Such a fun, relaxed place with great burger options and a solid beer selection if you’re in the mood. Honestly, it was one of those unexpected stops that totally hits the spot and makes the drive home even better. We’d definitely stop again! 🍔✨

Do yourself a favor… eat at Muck & Fuss. I had the Street Cred burger with Truffle fries (I was only able to eat about 4 bites before I was stuffed) and My husband had the Scapegoat. We also shared the Fried Green Tomatos and the Jalapeno Cheese Fritters (because we couldn’t decide). Everything we had was delicious, including the drink flight! As if the great food wasn’t enough, Shelby, our server, was excellent! My husband and I had already discussed the menu and shortly after she gave recommendations. Funny enough, her recommendations were exactly the items we were looking at. Thank you Shelby. We will be back to visit, hopefully sooner than later.

We came to Muck & Fuss on a Sunday night as a meeting point with family between San Antonio and San Marcos. We were seated right away, and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant seems very busy on weekends, so we did need to flag down our server for water and orders, but she was otherwise attentive, and she was gracious in letting us stay until closing to catch up with family. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, and the space is very family- and pet-friendly. We each ordered a burger, I got their classic cheeseburger with Asian slaw, and we all split the truffle fries. Everything was so flavorful and satisfying. My cousins enjoyed the cocktail flight as well. Such a gem in this neighborhood, and we're so glad we found it.

We have been trying for years to get into Muck and Fuss when we are on vacation, but the place is so good there is always a line out the door. 1st sign of an amazing place. We finally made it in and let me tell you, it was so worth the wait. Our server, Ashley, was absolutely fantastic on recommendations for both beers on tap, too many to choose from, to the best things to eat. All I can say is we walked away full and already talking about the next time we are down in NB to hit them up again. Great place!!!

Zara was our server and made our experience exceptional! She was attentive, friendly and professional. We even had the owner/manager come and great us, she was very friendly and appreciative. We had the wedge salad and Japanese shrimp tacos, both were amazing! Highly recommend trying this place if your in New Braunfels.

Absolutely 💯 a must HAVE if you are in the area. It is my husband's birthday and we came to have lunch with friends. Service was amazing 👏 Clean and spunky vibe. We’ve been to Muck and Fuss twice this summer, visiting from out of town. The food is delicious! The flavors and quality are on point! On this visit we ordered two burgers (Spicy Juicy Lucy and Street Cred), Caesar salads, pimento Mac n cheese, and a kids meal chicken strips with Mac n cheese. Our waiter John was super sweet and attentive! I look forward to visiting again in the near future!

Oh wow! What a fun and relaxing environment just after the river, Schlitterbahn or Landa Park. We did sit on the patio...it was warm, but had a nice breeze! The umbrellas didnt cover all of me and I asked nicely to see if we could move one so it would cover me (I sunburn really easy) and Elise our server, moved it to make sure I was comfortable. She was fantastic, very sweet, bubbly and gave excellent recommendations when we were trying to figure out the app we wanted. It was a pretty busy day so Elise was extra amazing to let us know the kitchen was moving a bit slow (before we ordered). We were not in a rush. So we sat back and enjoyed our time chatting on the patio. We got the Freedom Rings and the bleu cheese was so yummy and creamy!! The sauce had just enough kick for me to feel it...not too spicy for this Irish girl's taste buds..think super wimp! I had the Frenchman burger medium. It was cooked to perfection. Not a huge fan of mustard, but the mustard aoli was not too mustardy. Eat it...messy, but worth tje dirty hands! My hubby had the Steakhouse burger and loaded fries. The burger was juicy, very flavorful grilled onions, mushrooms and a BBQ sauce that was tangy and sweet but not too sweet. The loaded fries was just like a baked potato, but fried...yummy! For either of these burgers you need extra napkins messy, but worth it!

First time at this restaurant, it was recommended by a coworker. The menu has many options on what reads as very yummy burgers, appetizers and shakes. I opted for the steakhouse burger with premium upgrade side of onion rings. The burger came out with the wrong side - fries and that was okay as the server said they were going to bring the onion rings out right away. The burger was okay, I didn't appreciate the steakhouse sauce as it was on the sour - bland side and a bit runny. I counted a bit of mushrooms and not much of a steakhouse taste. The patty was thick and bland not much flavor. The bun was big, and cold. My onion rings were delicious with a side of ranch and fresh jalapeños. Overall nice place, but I will be ordering a different burger next time.

I have been going to Muck and Fuss with my family for the past five years and we usually have a table of at least 6 guests though we have gone for date nights or with smaller groups as well. The last two times we have been there (April 2025 and July 2025) have not been great and sadly, we are not going to return again anytime soon. We typically have a pretty large ticket (typically between $250 and $450+) and we expect to be treated like every other guest. I get that we are not "regulars" as we prefer to cook at home most of the time but the last two times, it has been apparent that other guests arrived and were seated before us due to relationships with the host/hostess. If we could make a reservation, we would but that is not the case with M&F. We let it slide in April but again gave it a try in July with some out of town guests (table of 8) and it was embarrassing after waiting 45 minutes to have what was definitely friends of the host get a table in front of us and then as a consolation when the manager noticed, we were offered a high top in the biergarten area that had been open the entire time we were waiting. To add insult to injury, our meals were not timed to come out together and our appetizer came with our main entrees. We will go someplace else from now on. I prefer supporting local restaurants and I am sad we won't be going back. I will no longer refer my friends to Muck and Fuss either.

This place was highly recommended based on their reviews. Wait on a Saturday evening at 7:30 was about an hour for a party of 7. Staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere of the patio was lively. We order various burgers, fries, and shakes. Shakes were a great hit and much needed after a warm day on the river. Burgers were well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately their "specialty" fries were a complete miss -- the cheese on the fries were pretty cold and not melted enough. I wish I had just ordered plain fries with no toppings as one of our guests had the waffle sweet potato fries that were nice and crispy. Food: 3/5 Drinks: 4.5 Price: 3/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Staff: 5:5

Light and airy patio with lots of fans - and can accommodate larger groups (we had 12 people! Eek!). Our server (Zara) was amazing and checked back on us regularly, got our food and drinks promptly, kept all three tickets separate (even tho we were all jumbled up - sorry Zara). I had the road crossing tacos with a side of coleslaw and it was so yummy. My son practically inhaled his buffalo chicken sandwich... 10/10 Great selection of cocktails too! We will definitely be back when we are next in town

Such a cute place. Visited from California and I must say this place was a hit. The food portions were huge and tasty. The drinks were refreshing and delicious. Definitely will come back on my next visit to Texas!!

This spot is the perfect place to grab some food and drinks after a day on the river! (It's only a couple minutes from Texas Tubes!) We got sat promptly, and our waitress was super sweet and friendly. Happy hour was going on, so we got some loaded fries as an appetizer, and I ordered a Diablo burger for my main. The loaded fries were good and easily can be shared amongst 4 people. The burger was also quite delicious, but not worthy of the $17.95 price tag. There were also a lot of flies landing on our table/food that we had to swat away (even with the fan running indoors). Overall, a solid place to go to after some river fun or if you're in the area.

They have an extensive menu and an impressive selection of brews. They are also the only verified venue for Untapped between San Marcos and San Antonio. Plan ahead since there can be a wait, but the offerings makes it well worth it. While our server was friendly, they were a bit absent minded. We were asked 2 or 3 times if we were ready within only a few minutes of sitting down and asking for a minute to peruse the menus. But then went to the other side of the spectrum and left us without sauces and refills for the remainder of our time. However, the fare and the libations were enough to make us want to come back.

Hi! I really like this little spot, very welcoming, lots of different things on the menu, I tried the drinks, Not really a fan of the sangria but the others were amazing! Started off with the onion rings, then the jalopeno balls then the tacos, everything was fresh and good, the service was fast and everyone was friendly, I would definitely return!

Still good, still a burger spot I look forward to eating at once a year after our Schlitterbahn visit for summer! Wait staff is always incredible (shoutout to Maya this most recent trip!). This time around I had the Scapegoat and cajun fries with a peach sangria. All three were great. I do wish there was more of the pepper jelly on the burger, but the meat was flavored and cooked well and it was still so tasty.

This is a lively spot right in the heart of downtown New Braunfels. It is fun and welcoming, and the service is friendly! The food definitely lives up to the hype. The fried green tomatoes are a must-try if you're a fan, they're perfectly crispy and served on a bit of pimento cheese, which adds a rich, tangy twist. The onion rings, made with red onions, are outstanding. The batter is light and crispy, and the dipping sauce is the perfect complement. You can't go wrong with one of their burgers. Let me just say my main reason for coming is the Muck's Cow Mule frozen drink. It is so refreshing and the right level of ginger with a yummy ginger candy on top.You can sit inside or outside. The patio area is nice and you have access to the bar from the patio area. All the servers were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, my husband says his burger was one of the best he ever had. When in New Braunfels give them a try.

4 of us went on a Friday night at 7p had a 45 minute wait but you could go to the bar and get drinks while you wait. The burgers were perfect! Super fun flavors and our table liked everything we got. Sweet potato fries were good but I liked the original fries better. We sat inside and it was cute. There is an indoor bar and two outdoor bars.

Definitely recommend! The mac and cheese was super yummy, the burger was cooked just right, and the salad had great texture. Sorry I don't have the exact names from the menu, I'm writing this a bit after the fact, but everything I tried was solid. Pro tip: sit inside if it's hot out. Those outdoor benches will have you sweating like crazy.

Consistency is what stands out at Muck & Fuss. Great food menu and a rotating Texas craft beer selection. Dog friendly patio that's inviting if you carry your angels around. And expect a friendly smile from their staff and managers.

This is a reliable supply for a good burger and fries. I'm always greeted and have attentive service. I saw they have a happy hour, so I would love to go back to try that as well. There is a nice amount of seating as well with indoor and an outdoor area, the right spot for a pretty day!

Cute name, cute place, fun decor, delicious food, fab service...seriously what more could you want. You can sit inside or out. There is bar, booth, or table seating. A variety of menu choices, and their burgers...yummy perfection. Make sure to say their name correctly...but come and nosh on!

Awesome service, great food and quality cocktails! Had the fritters for appetizer, Parmesan truffle fries, and the Hatfield. Damiano was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the menu, quick and attentive!!! We loved sitting on the patio with the live music!

Great lunch today! The service was very timely and helpful. We started with queso and chips. The flavor was good but the chips were few. We had to ask for more. The goat cheese and bacon hamburger was awesome-- unique combo of flavors. The bun, however, could not stand up to the juicy hamburger and the sauces. Yet it was very yummy. I upped the side to the truffle fries ... on my ... so good!!! Lemon aoli with truffle and parmesan.

This was a great experience! Our service was exceptional. My wife and I had Maya and she took great care of us. She was attentive and gave great recommendations! The store is clean and modern. It's got a great vibe and a really solid selection of beer. The burger menu is extensive, I think there's a burger here for everyone! The food tasted great and came out quick and fresh. It was delicious. It wasn't the best burger of my life but it was definitely up there in terms of local spots. Definitely a must try!

We're in New Braunfels a few times a month and always try to swing by Muck & Fuss. It's such a fun and modern space with the most excellent service. Probably some of the best I've ever experienced. They've got a nice beer selection and an excellent burger!

Decided to try this spot for lunch as we were in the area. Firstly, parking. The restaurant has limited onsite parking and parking in the street is hit or miss. We chose to park in the paid lot just down the road. We paid $7 for 90 mins which I thought was good. Now the restaurant. We had a very short wait considering it was noon. The restaurant was packed so it's obviously popular. It has a diner like feel to it, with interesting decor. Once seated our server Fania was quick to arrive and welcome us. My partner ordered the garden salad with grilled shrimp and sweet potato fries. I ordered the Travy burger with Cajun fries. The food was great quality, fresh and hot. Fania was attentive and brought refills for our drinks but didn't hover. The restrooms were clean and modern. Overall I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

The food was delicious, but not necessarily worth the price. Everything tasted delicious, and the service was good. However, it was a little loud and very crowded. Seems like tables are kinda crammed in there.

I have not had a more perfectly medium cooked burger like this in ages. We shared the Scapegoat burger with freedom rings as our side. Server was super on point and timely with any request we made and the food was perfection. To say that about a burger joint is not something I have had before. Will most definitely go back when I am in the area. Overheard that they are building one in San Antonio, so SAT, be there n the lookout, because they know how to make some great food. They have awards for their Mac n' Cheese and fries as well. We didn't partake, but can't think that the awards are lying based on the burger we had. Very cute decor as well. Framed collections of kitchen instruments like rolling pins and meat tenderizers. Loved it

Quick stop for a bite. Inside, and a very large covered, outside seating. The inside wall is open between building and outer seating meaning you will not freeze eating indoors. Atmosphere allows for conversation. The Jalapeño Cheese Fritters were suggested. Crisp outside, creamy inside surrounded by bacon in a glaze. Good, but very filling. Will not do again. The crab cake sandwich has two crab cakes that appear to have breading to help bind, mixed greens, roasted-cured tomatoes, green onion dressing, Mexican street com, and pickled red onions. I chose their onion rings which was definitely an excellent choice. The Good Fortune Salad had tempura fried shrimp tossed in honey chili sauce on a bed of chopped romaine lettuce, mandarian orange slices, asian slaw, wonton strips, green onions, sliced almonds and wasabi peas. Served with Asian vinaigrette. The dressings were flavorful and the salad had great flavors that melded well. Staff was attentive and informative as regards the menu and their selection of beers.

We had traveled to New Braunfels to try out another restaurant, and in learning it was closed, we went on the hunt for an alternative. Well, after a short walk, we ended up at "Muck & Fuss". The restaurant has a "cool vibe" and there is inside and outside seating. We chose to sit outside - and they have lots of heat lamps, and it was perfect. We chose (2) of their "saloon door" lagers paired with their "What about Cobb" salad, the Hatfield Burger and their Havarti Jam Burger. Well, all of these meals were very good. Our server, Alyssa, was also amazing as she gave us an understanding of the items we were considering and also made sure she checked in often. All in all, the dining experience was excellent.

My parents don't like to try new places so I take every chance I can get to take them to a "new to them" restaurant. Muck & Fuss did not disappoint! We came for lunch on a Friday and had to wait for about 20 minutes so I recommend having a reservation. But the staff were very attentive and kind and brought us chairs to sit while we waited. The interior has a stunning, eye-catching ceiling and I absolutely love the lighting over the bar. We sat on the patio and the outdoor bar area looked so fun! We ate the crab cake appetizers and one of the burgers. Everything was excellent!

We were in New Braunfels for a day trip and we're looking for lunch in the area. This place popped up as well rated so decided on it. There was about a 30 min wait so we walked a bit around the small downtown until they were ready. Service was quick and kind, and we were seated outside with our dogs. The space itself is nice, both inside and out. We ordered two burgers - street cred and the pour over. Loved both but would absolutely come back just for the pour over. I was hesitant on the Mac n cheese inside the burger but.... It's a good and delicious idea! Also tried a boozy shake - definitely try one of these if you can. I imagine it's even better on a hot day! If you're in New Braunfels, or even further out, you will not be disappointed!!

Muck and Fuss lives up to the hype! We were starving after a long day at the water park and decided to eat at the place we could find with the best reviews. Our server, Avery, was lovely as soon as we sat down. She was very helpful navigating both the food and extensive beer menus. The food we chose was all delicious, but let me tell you about those Japanese Tacos: they were mind blowing amazing!!! Also, their boozy drink with Tang was a fun and tasty surprise. We will definitely be back and will sing its praises to our friends that ho for a visit! 10/10, no notes. And I'm picky ‍

Our waiter was Carson H. And we had a terrible experience with him. Food was great but not great customer service. He made us feel like we were going to leave without paying. We weren't even half way through our meal when he brought the bill. When I was talking to him, he walked away.

We got the diablo burger and japanese tacos subbed with grilled shrimp - both were delicious! While a bit pricey, the portions more than make up for it. The sides were also very tasty especially the fries (asian slaw is similar to what's topped on the taco minus the mayo). Service was excellent. Inside is a bit loud but outside is nice if the weather cooperates!

We came here for a girls trip and we had a blast! Our food was great, and Josh was an excellent server!

We were in New Braunfels checking out a wedding venue, and my daughter recommended that we try this place for lunch. She had been here before and really liked it. Driving up, we found parking to be an issue. We expected that as the summer tubing season is underway. However, we ended up finding parking in the next block. Walking up, we found that there was a wait just to get on the seating list. We then found an empty picnic table to wait. The water misters were blowing, and we found it to be a nice place to wait. Pretty quickly, our table was ready. We got seated, ordered water and appetizers, reviewed the menu, and got our food ordered. Seating was nice and ceiling fans kept us comfortable. Food came quickly, and they don't skimp on quality or quantity. Food was just as we ordered and was very tasty. Our waitress took very good care of us and kept our drinks filled. Will I return? Definitely!

Had the Five Fuss and Diablo burger. Queso could use a little kick, otherwise pretty good. Burger was fantastic!!! Our bartender was great but rest of staff was a bit snotty. I'd be back only if the same bartender serves us.

My family loves burgers so we had to check this place out after a long few days at Schlitterbahn. We had a large party and they were very accommodating. They have outdoor seating, which during great weather it would be perfect to sit at. They have a beer garden where you can drink and just chill outside. The inside had beautiful architecture and high ceilings. The music was a bit loud for us but I guess a lot of restaurants are like this. Our server was amazing. She handled the countless number of kid requests like a pro! The menu looked so appetizing and I couldn't choose which one to eat! The food came out so quickly and everything was beautifully prepared!! They do focus on presentation which is appreciated! It's like the professional photos you see taken! We ordered: Freedom rings: this is a must order for appetizers! The onion rings were crispy and the batter didn't come off with the first bite. They used red onions instead of the white which gave it a different but better flavor in my opinion. The Alabama white sauce wasn't white, it was pink. But boy could we just drink a gallon of this yummy goodness!! It had a nice kick to it but not too spicy where the kids couldn't eat it! The kids devoured it as well! 100% kid approve! Street cred burger: this came with Mexican street corn in it, fried onion strings, jalapeño bacon, bbq sauce and chipotle mayo! They use hamburger buns made by a local bakery which made it even better!! Fresh buns please! I thought the flavors would fight each other but everything was well balanced. You'd get a little elote, with some bbq, and then the fried onion strings. This is definitely a recommendation but be prepared for messy hands!!! Diablo: pickled red onion, fresh jalapeños, jalapeño cheese fritter, jalapeño bacon!! If you love spicy, you will love this burger! It definitely packs a big punch! Not for the weak! Husband liked this burger! Tempura-fried shrimp tacos: the shrimp was so good with an amazing flavor, battered perfectly and fried to perfection! It stayed crispy even though it's tossed in a spicy Japanese Mayo sauce. It's topped with a slaw and green onions. The perfect texture to a great shrimp taco! Chocolate and strawberry shake: kids said they were the best shakes ever! Came in a really cool glass that I wished we could have kept but couldn't. All the kids agreed it was delicious! It was a thick shake but very yummy! I would highly recommend this restaurant for its quick delivery, amazing service and delicious food! They are dog friendly too and even will give your fur baby a complimentary treat!!!

Wow this place was my favorite restaurant. It went off the rails today. We got there at 5:00 and it took 20 minutes for our beer and 1/2 of our order. After another 15 minutes we left. The manager comped the 1/2 the meal we got. We watched food steadily leave the kitchen while we waited. We are local and we will not go back.

This is a wonderful addition to the New Braunfels area. We took a quick day trip up for a little shopping and stopped into Muck and Fuss for lunch. We started with the amazing onion rings and OMG, they are a meal alone. I had a hard time choosing an entre because it all seemed so good. I settled on shrimp tacos and they were so good!!! The mixed drinks are also amazing and the servers are all attentive and helpful with explaining the menu offerings. The bar area and decor are so cool and it is a very clean environment. I also love that they have a large outdoor seating area for times when the weather permits.

I came here on a Saturday a few weeks ago with a group of friends. We all ordered something different and sampled each others food and drinks. I couldn't say a bad word about anything that we had. We originally arrived and there was a long wait for a table. We ended up grabbing drinks at the outdoor covered bar area. While we were waiting, the bartender let us know that we could order food from there as well. There ended up being a rainstorm that came out of nowhere and there was a downpour. The staff were very friendly and upbeat (despite being soaking wet). I had one of their sour beers and it was delightful. I also sampled the orange dreamsicle. I would highly recommend that drink. We had the jalapeno tater tots, and while slightly spicy, they were absolutely amazing. I wasn't able to finish all my food while we were there, and I have to say their food makes great leftovers the following day. This was a very cute place that had both indoor and outdoor seating. It would be great for a group of friends, date night, or even family night. They had some outdoor games for kids as well.

Decided to return here for a team lunch and as always it was fantastic! It was a crazy hot day but we sat outside aided by the large umbrellas and powerful fans! Service was fast and friendly and the food was devious! I had the firecracker shrimp salad appetizer which is a rather generous portion for the low price and I could not finish it though it was delicious! We also got the onion rings which again were a very generous portion which all 4 of us enjoyed but still could not finish! They were crisp and loved the blue cheese crumbles and dressing the accompanied them! This restaurant is always go good and exceptionally well priced for the quality of food! A must visit when in New Braunfels!
