Came in here with a special atmosphere which was kinda dark inside but outside was kinda hot patios. We ordered their signature chicken waffle which came with the pouched eggs but the kale on the bottom was far away too oily, I felt like eating oil more than the kale. They don't serve cauliflower with popcorn chicken which was disappointed me :( The avocado toast was ok, not very impressed

Never been to Susan Feniger's Street when it was open but I like this version of small plates a lot to. They kept the famous Kaya toast (egg soy sauce coconut toast), which was delicious. Everything I had was excellent. Will be coming back to try the happy hour for sure.

My boss says "Go to the Mud Hen and tell me if it's any good." I say "Sure!" because I have no problem spending company money. My plan was to sit at the bar with a friend, have a drink, sample a few appetizers. On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, I arrived at 6:30pm; restaurant lively but not packed. Girl up front tells me, "Would you like to sit at a table since the bar is crazy with trivia people?" I don't want to sit at a table, I want the bar. Yes, there were some folks at the bar playing the happy hour trivia game, but it didn't appear too manic. "I can get you a table since the bar is so crazy" she says again, and it's apparent she REALLY wants me to sit at a table (I guess I didn't seem like a serious bar-drinker to her.) I concede (I don't mind tables), sit and wait for my friend. Downhill from there: no waiter ever came around to our table. My friend arrived shortly after I sat. We waited exactly 25 minutes, NO one even stopped and asked if we were being helped. We sat there staring at menus for almost a half hour while waiters walked right by us, LOOKING US IN THE EYE. Uncool. We walked out of there and went elsewhere. I hated having to give my boss a crappy report, especially when she's reimbursing. But when I told her what happened, she surprised me and said, "Yeah, I've heard their service is slow but that's ridiculous" and booked her event someplace else (and invited me!) Never before have I witnessed karma react so swiftly.

The lamb meatballs were awesome, the drinks were great, and our waiter was... pretty okay. Went for New Years Eve and everybody had a great time. Oh, get the burger was damn good.

If you review each entry where people had a "large" party, you will learn that my experience is not isolated. Shireen Saugen is the GM. When I showed interest in holding my 27 guest, 40th birthday party event, she was incredibly attentive and accommodating. However, when we showed-up, she was non-existent, rude when she was, far from accommodating and downright aggravating. BOTTOM LINE: Mud Hen Tavern is a decent place to dine if it's a party no larger than 4. Shireen over-promises and VERY MUCH under delivers. The quantity of food provided for for 27 people, on a fixed menu, was EMBARRASSING!!!! This chick COMPLETELY ruined my milestone birthday. In fact, I personally had to take 15 of my friends out to dinner after the dinner party because the $47 they each spent left them hungry. These fools delivered less than SIX small plates, per course, for 27 F'ing people. Did Shireen bother to address it? Did she apologize for it? Not one peep. Instead, she chose to ignore my follow-up email and not respond or address it. DO NOT ruin your event. Go somewhere else. China Palace is even a better option.

Delicious and well-crafted food and drinks. Susan tends to be there a lot and generally comes out and serves food too. Great for small parties or groups.

Susan Feniger can do no wrong. I loved STREET so much. And while nothing can replace a Turkish Doughnut, I am so happy to see this place full of people. Congrats, gang!

Awesome menu (but a bit limited) with some really great starters and small plates. Try the maple chicken coquettes! Super happy with the service as well!
