"Sacramento’s Mud Pie Stand Bakery announced it will be permanently closing in an Instagram post to customers Thursday. The business owners called the closure a “necessary decision” but acknowledged the ending does feel devastating. The owners said rising food costs, supply chain issues, and little foot traffic have been tough, and they’re completely getting out of the food industry for health, family, and financial reasons. The shop opened in June 2021 and the last day is September 17, or until product runs out." - Dianne de Guzman

What type of witchcraft are these desserts???? I was halfway through the most delicious cupcake I’d ever eaten when my co-worker Gigi who brought them told me they were vegan. WHAT??? No way!!!! They are moist, flavorful, and simply delicious. I was incredibly impressed by these. I can’t wait to try their other desserts.

I got a pumpkin cake for my birthday and it might’ve been the best cake I’ve EVER had. Staff is very friendly & helpful/flexible when I wanted to make a last minute change.

Absolutely love this place. I'm not even vegan but this is my favorite bakery hands down. The service is always incredible and I feel super welcome there every time. I love several things they have but I think my top favorites are their cupcakes (especially strawberry w/ anything) and the chagaccino, which is like a mushroom latte basically? No caffeine which is how I roll but it tasted SO good and I never got a crash after drinking it. 10/10 absolutely love this place. I wish they were able to have slightly longer business hours.

The best cupcakes, cakes and cookies I've ever had! I would never know these delicious treats were vegan if I wasn't told. Cupcakes are often very dry to me, but I've never had that problem with theirs. Another favorite is the jalapeño pull-apart bread. Or the croissants. Okay, just everything they offer. It's all great!

A really great spot for lunch and sweets. A small menu with sandwiches and baked goods. The Mexican torta had flavorful tofu and an awesome adobo sauce. The chocolate cupcake was probably better than most non-vegan cupcakes. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I definitely plan to come back.

Everything they sell is magic. All of their pastries are the best I've had. I also love the vegan caramel macchiato I get here. I get it iced and the caramel sauce is to die for. Get something that sounds good to you and I promise you won't be disappointed. If I could eat here every day I would.
