Muddy Moose Restaurant & Pub

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. We were greeted by smiling host and our waitress was so sweet and funny. Knew the menu well and made some very good suggestions for us when we couldn’t make up our minds because there were too many many wonderful choices. I only wish this restaurant was closer to home. The Slopeside nachos with pulled pork were soooo good. They make St Louis style ribs with their homemade specialty blackberry bbq sauce…chefs kiss🤌 Give them a try next time you’re in the area or just traveling through. You won’t regret it.

Great service and atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had a Rueben and Steak sandwich. I'm definitely going back to try more.

Nice family-friendly restaurant with good food. Large portions at a reasonable price. I like the themed decor. Plenty of parking. Handicap accessible.

It’s a busy place. I only saw 2 handicap parking spots (unless I missed them?). We had to park in a regular spot, making it just a little bit difficult to get out of my car, (and I only use a cane, not a wheelchair.) The parking lot seemed large, but was quite full. I thought we’d have to wait for a table, but we were seated right away, so I’m not sure why the lot was so full. Food was really good, but fell short of spectacular. Could’ve been simply been our meal choices, don’t know. The menu consists mostly of pub fare, with a few nice dinner items too. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive at the right moments, without being intrusive. Atmosphere was a little loud, but could still hold a conversation. Seemed very family friendly. We would definitely return and try another dinner choice if we are passing through again! The service was very good!

I wish there was an ability to do a 10 star. This place was amazing and the food was beyond perfect

I usually don't bother to leave middling reviews but in the face of all the glowing ones I'm seeing, I have to chime in. There were 5 of us and every one of us, young and old, found the food here to be horribly bland. If you want chain restaurant style food but don't wanna deign to eat at a chain, I suppose this place is perfect. I was starving and cleaned my plate. We were all hangry and chose this place as a last resort. It was serviceable. I give it credit for that. But if you're in the area, and find yourself here. I'm sorry. You're probably on vacation or at least trying to have a fun weekend. Alas, this restaurant does not spark joy.

Had lunch here and it was so charming. Log Cabin / Ski themed restaurant. Food was great and came out fast! Stopped in at noon and it wasn’t too crowded.

We've been here a few times, and yet again, they didn't disappoint. The kids love the atmosphere, and the food was great as always. The wait was 45 minutes, which was fine, but what was great was the accuracy of the wait time. I'll tell you this that any parent can tell you there's nothing worse than being told a half hour and an hour later, trying to settle down a couple of rambunctious children. The kiddos went with the chicken tenders. The wife and I got the Ruben with onion rings and a muddy moose burger. Service was fast and the food was delicious.

The moment you walk in and smell the food you know you are into something good. Service brilliant. Food fantastic. One of the best Reuben ever. Good prices not over the top. Would highly recommend.

Cute restaurant with lovely staff and good food. We sat outside on the patio overlooking some very green trees. I had the fish and chips which was good. The fish was cooked perfectly, very moist and tender. Tartar sauce was delicious. Coleslaw was far too peppery and definitely a miss for me. Fries were just ok. I wish they had been more rustic, like hand cut french fries. I think these fries are frozen. Ranch dressing was on point though. Food came out quick and everything tasted nice, no complaints from the children! Grilled cheese was beautifully golden and crispy, I had a few stolen bites and they did not disappoint. Went home with an adorable hoodie as well.

This is a North Conway staple. Service is good, food is good. Not over the top amazing - but everything was good. An easy place for families because it's loud and they can accommodate big parties! We hadn't been in a few years and I missed how they used to give Oreos at the end! Haddock flavor was good but a bit overcooked. Everything else was good.

Plenty of parking very busy expect an hour plus wait time. No reservations. Family friendly Good food. Good staff and service. Rustic barn atmosphere.

The Muddy Moose was really good the service was excellent the waitress was pleasant and very nice. The food was just as good the potato canoe was tasty and hot the clam chowder was very good the fish sandwich was nice and fresh the bacon burger was cooked just right everything was excellent. Casual and relaxed dining was no hurry.

Arrived on a Friday afternoon and it was busy! Yet my server, (I believe his name was Edward) came right over, took our drink order and returned immediately to take our order. The food came quickly and our server was very efficient. He always made sure we had everything we needed with a handsome smile! My burger was delicious and was cooked to perfection! Even though it was busy it was still a cozy place. We'll definitely be back!!

This is a fun place for lunch or dinner (we went twice in the week). They have a great menu and the food was tasty during both our visits. The pulled pork nachos were my favorite. It's a good portion and we didn't finish it. The servers were nice and are good to kids (sadly cannot say this for all the places around the area) The food and drinks were fairly priced. Good with a group but it gets busy and you will definitely wait if you go during prime time. Sadly I didn't think to take pictures.

Nice busy place close to town Lodge Feel. Try the muddy moose slide! Good burgers, chicken sandwiches, and wraps. Good comfort food before hitting the slopes...

My family and I visited this restaurant when we visited Story Land. Restaurant was busy, but the food was good and the service was decent as well. It was a good experience and we look forward to returning next year!

We have a tradition to make a point to meet friends from Twin Mountain, and we from Sanford, Maine, for our annual celebration, at Muddy Moose Restaurant! The waiters and waitresses are always friendly, the food is great, and they don't rush us! I need not say more

Ok I love this place for pub food and drinks Great service Good food Nice room But ... Today we asked to sit outside on the deck Well they should call it the poop deck because we could smell sewage from someone's leech field Not cool Please try this place but don't sit on the deck

This busy restaurant has a nice New Hampshire decor. I ordered a half rack of ribs, with fries, and carrots. The half rack was huge, and the ribs had plenty of meat on the bone. My wife ordered a Sassy Chicken Salad with greens, sweetened cranberries, pecans, goat cheese, and grilled chicken with balsamic vinaigrette. The food, and the service was excellent. This is a family restaurant and pub so it is very noisy.

Always a favorite when visiting N Conway, great family atmosphere with a diverse menu and a small selection of desserts. We started with Nachos which were just enough for 2, to share, I had the Ruben which was huge and flavorful came with fries, my daughter got the burger which she said was very good. Didn't have room for dessert but they do have a small selection. Service was great, had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated but we expected that on a Friday night, Labor Day Weekend. They have bar, indoor and outdoor seating available.

While looking for restaurants in this area, Muddy Moose stuck out to me. My mother and I arrived around 6:30 on a Friday night and the place was packed! We were told a 30 minute wait but ended up being less than 20. Tons of seating here. I wasn't too hungry, so opted for the Greek salad. My mother ordered grilled chicken and a baked potato. The grilled chicken was tough and cold. The baked potato was cold. The only vegetable they offered as a side wasn't even a vegetable. Food was just OK. Same for the service. I would try somewhere else next time I visit. Maybe I should have ordered something else...

This was my first time here. We stayed at the motel next door. The place has a cozy,rustic look inside with hardwood. We didn't eat, only sat at the bar and had drinks. The people getting food around us had very good looking dishes though. The drinks were great, the bartenders were friendly and the entertainment (Richard) was absolutely free.lol

All of our food was absolutely horrible. Only good thing about our dinner was that the beers were reasonably priced.

The atmosphere is a nice log cabin style dining room. The service was below average. The food quality was ok but nothing special. With all the other options in the area it's hard to know why this place is so popular.

Pub food in a relaxed family atmosphere. The fish melt was particularly good, as was the "muddy moose" mushroom burger.

Were arrived, Monday, October 7th, for lunch at 1:00 and found the restaurant packed. Good for them! We were told we would be seated in 10 minutes, but it was closer to 25 minutes. But, we understood. We were seated next to the fire place and found it charming. Waited for the server and ultimately greeted by the server without an apology for the delay. Now, 45 minutes upon arrival. She was polite but no sense of urgency. Reuben sandwich was v. good. There was, however, no follow up by our server after the food was served. There are some training issues: have the less-experienced hostesses observe the backlog of waiting customers and adjust the waiting expectation times. Second, advise young food servers to be aware of their customer and communication skills.

We really enjoyed our meal and the dessert was amazing. My dad still talks about the ribs. They were delicious.

The pulled pork, and ribs were the best we've ever had! I also had French onion soup, the flavor was great but the onions were almost raw. I'd definitely go back but skip the French onion soup!

Look. When you have been hiking all day and are tired and wet, the quality of food has a sliding scale. The place was clean, the fire was going, the food was hot and beer was cold. The staff was super friendly and took good care of my kiddos and allowed us to relax, eat, and laugh about our wonderful day we just completed in the NH wilderness. Thanks for the good food, Muddy Moose.

Great food and themed with bears, moose heads and the like. It was literally packed from opening to close so that tells you everything you need to know. Definitely recommend the bison burger, the fries are great too!

My wife and I stopped in Friday night for a late dinner after an event. Quick service and friendly. I ordered a Manhattan straight up no ice and it was wonderful. Knob Creek! Fish tacos for me and pulled pork for my wife. Food was very good and filling. Best part... my wife thought she might have left her gloves behind and called the next day and David I think said he has them but we needed them to be mailed. No problem. They are sending them to her at no cost. Our waitress was funny too. Good experience overall!!

I've been here a few times over the years and each time had a worse experience. The wait times can be horrible and it's very loud in there. The service is okay, the food...not so much. I think this place is best for families as it's very kid friendly and well decorated.

Family trip ! Everything was great The clam chowder was awesome Fish sandwich was wonderful, loved all the wood work in the restaurant, the wait time was not bad at all !! Highly recommended

Friendly prompt service with terrific food. The steak and baked potato were very solid, but the butternut squash was the star!

It was very busy (35 min wait at 5:30) but we got in quicker than expected. Wait staff was friendly and food was very good. Highly recommend fish and chips and steak sandwich. Make sure you get some clam chowder as well. Tasty!

where to even BEGIN. ambience? incredible! we love all the moose/deer/elk heads everywhere and the antler chandeliers For the food- it came out pretty fast and it was as advertised but they don't do boneless wings here Our waiter (Milos) was very patient, proactive, and attentive, ensuring that he only picked up plates we were done with. Even though we just asked for club soda, he brought us water too ensuring we had plenty of hydration We loved the place so much we bought shirts!

Double check the final credit card charge after going. A Bartender changed the tip amount after I paid.

Great service in a fun place. This was a friends favorite place for dinner in town and ate there in memory of him. Food was pretty good, but it's fun to look at the decor and style of the restaurant.

Recent visit to the north Conway area resulted in a visit to the muddy moose. Welcomed as soon as we walked in and had a great meal and drinks. Staff were awesome Including bar tender who had multi tasking down packed with a smile on her face the whole time. We will be back !

We saw this place and decided to give it a try. Yum! So glad we did. The burgers, wings, fries, and onion rings were delicious! Our amazing waitress even gave us cookies at the end. Love it! Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was relaxed. We would definitely come back.

Meh at best. The service was good, servers were friendly. But the food was not good. We started with the spinach dip- it was mostly spinach and less dip. It wasn't creamy, and tasted really gritty like there was dip- it was melted too fast, then let sit too long to cool. We then ordered 2 burgers. We had to pay for cheese and basic toppings on a $16 burger? They were mediocre at best, very little seasoning, and although it was cooked to right temperatures- it was literally straight up a beef patty. The fries were soft and unsalted. Overall disappointing since it gets high reviews? After not eating all day- we actually chose to leave still hungry.

We saw really good reviews and they were near our Airbnb so we decided to head there without looking at the menu. We ordered a couple of apps, potato canoes(6/10),nachos (8/10), spin dip (0). They have a short menu, we ordered the veggie pasta- tasted bland, the chicken broccoli fettuccini was okay, chicken didn't have much flavor, I ordered a side salad with my pasta but the waiter just put in a regular size. I asked him if it was a side salad when I received it, but when we got the check , it was not billed as side. Overall, we should've checked the menu, maybe they were busy so we had some ordering confusion, I would personally not go back. I would suggest you look at the menu before visiting.

Fast service even when the restaurant is packed. Cold beer. Good selection. Yummy food every time. I can't not get the Reuben. It's delish. My hubby likes the fish sandwich. Food always comes out hot. Never yet been disappointed and have visited several times.

Food was delicious and the service was great! A very nice family restaurant, with something for everyone! My only problem with the restaurant didn't even have anything to do with the restaurant itself!!! It was just extremely loud in there and could be very overwhelming, but other than that I had a great time with my family there and would definitely go back!

Looking for a place to eat after a long day of touring. Place was busy as usual and we were told that it would be 25-35 mins for party of 6. Put our name on the list and considered trying to find another place. However within 10 mins the manager actually called my cell phone to tell me they had a table ready early. Amazing! Fabulous customer service!! That continued with our waitress Tracie who was super friendly and attentive. The place was decorated much as you would imagine given the name. It was a good atmosphere for sure! The menu has something for everyone. Burgers, sandwiches, fish, pasta and salads. Everyone was happy with their food and we left full for sure.

Very touristy but a great salad! It was just what we wanted. The service was good, it was December 23 so the town was packed, but we got seated quickly and served promptly. The salad was fresh and plentiful.

Don't expect much. Ordered the king Neptune for $27.95 it's scallops and shrimp over pasta. 3 smaller scallops and 4 shrimp. Not impressed. The garlic sauce was really good though. Wife got a burger and fries. Had a bonus 6" longe piece of hair with the fries. This is the 1st time back here in about 5-6 years, now I know why.

Shared a full rack of ribs with the hubby, and the rest of the crew had a sirloin steak and fish and chips. Rounded out the meal with a Muddy Moose Pie, which I thought was awesome! Solid all around. Service was friendly and fast, even though they were slammed the night we were there. Would not hesitate to swing by again the next time we are in the area!
